It wasnt chief her name was Spartan 458 nicole not even lore shit either since bungie said they didnt want chief in the game since it would "cheapen" his image.

Okay lorehomosexuals we get it halo books are SOOOO DEEP AND AWESOME!!!!
Only reason I got all achievements on the 360 was because of my Ninja Gaiden obsession. I desperately needed that Dragon Sword piece. Thankfully the game was so active then that it was easy to setup lobbies for the purpose of helping each other with the more ridiculous ones.

You're a gay.
lmao what is this revisionist bullshit? You got it for just grabbing the skulls, which you could look up on youtube even in 2008. The katana was also easy to get if you just grind out some achievements, which didn't take long either. It was always regarded as noob/weeabo armor. And tons of people knew it was a reference to Ninja Gaiden because the Xbox Ninja Gaiden had come out in 2004, was a huge hit and got covered on things like G4 all the time, and the sequel came out in 2008 and was just as big a deal. And the armor's in-game name is fricking Hayabusa, which is what everyone called it, knowing that it's the surname of the guy from Ninja Gaiden.
Dude we disconnected so many times going for those ODST achievements for Recon. It made some actual amazing memories of playing Halo. But frick me do I ever feel like I wasted my god damn time doing it.
I didn't even complete all the vidmasters (me and my buddies got filtered by the ODST firefight one for some reason) and even I felt kind of bummed that Bungie just gave it to everyone. Went from being something near-mythical to the most mundane shit ever overnight; never even wore it in the end.
this game still has the best spartan armor textures and design. everything went south after reach. god reach was trash, literally fricked the series and sent it in the wrong direction.
it really is where it all began to go wrong >loadouts >abilities >br replaced with dmr >less vehicle maps >more focus on comp and esports circle jerking >cosmetics turned into grind vs achievements focused >TU split the fanbase even more between 3,reach, and reach TU, instead commiting to one or the other
I still believe that halo 3 to this day could have rivaled and overcome tf2 as the casual fun and also slightly competitive shooter it was and been king today. It was a timeless game, it did almost everything right regarding multiplayer. All they had to do was keep updating the forge and mp capabilities. They could have faithfully milked the game to this day since the only thing the sequels ever did that was good was updating forge. IP irreversibly tainted by one unnecessary dogshit release after another and yet we live in a world where cod is still popular because it's still feels like cod4.

Holy based, this shit happens for so many games on Ganker it's fricking disgusting.

if MCC had auto start Big team battles ill play. Right now its simply and utterly unplayable I mostly dabble in 3/Reach with some Halo 2. Starting with the battle rifle/DMR utterly destroys the moronic sandbox as is. The DMR is damn near the best anti tank item in the game in reach too where like 5 guys can turn your scorpion into scrap metal real fast.

And because everyone has the best weapon, they are gonna get it's ammo refilled after each kill.
Which takes away brain power if you can just unload the whole BR magazine into somebody, knowing you'll get more ammo.
When it's a single BR on the map you have to find, you get creative, because you're not wanting to waste it's 3 magazines on their shields, so you look for something else to shred shield and the BR to finish them off.
FRICK I HATE BR STARTS! RAH RAH RAH!
They aren't sweaty, they are just cheating. Same with Infinite. Infinite nowadays has more cheaters than COD/Warzone, Battlefield, CS, and Tarkov combined relative to the total playerbase. I've never seen so many.
I play MCC bungie games almost everyday and I still find matches and other games too
I don't understand the people who get bored at Halo, just play something else for a while then come back to it
Ganker doesnt play halo together since the halo general on /vg/ is taken over by mentally ill homosexuals who should be coming to this thread real soon to ruin it.
Not him and I don't complain about sweats in Halo but the answer is obvious. Back in 2007-2010 the playerbase was enormous. There was such a huge pool of users to matchmake with that you were always playing with people of similar skill to yourself because there were just so many to chose from. Now the playerbase has largerly moved on and matchmaking has a smaller pool of people to pair you with, so the closest people to your skill level might not be very close at all. Because the game is also 16 years old now the hardcore players have refined the meta-game in a way that just wasn't possible in the first few years after launch due to lack of experience. This means that there are a lot more resources online and the gap between skill levels get crushed further as decent players have all the knowledge to become excellent players and the excellent players hang around because they've been playing for so long. If you're not trying to become an excellent player and are just looking to goof around and play some Halo like the good old days, your peers from back then are almost certainly going to be doing something else and the players that do want to play with you are going to feel impossible to fight against. It's just the cruel passing of time doing it's thing.
For me it's that I used to be good at it, but moved on years ago. These people never left and now there's this weird skill gap that I don't care enough to git gud again to overcome, but also don't like getting shit on by full teams of these people. So I just stop playing altogether. The team part really annoyed me, even being rusty as shit I could still at least hold my own, but then getting matched against an entire team of sweats in BTB, while the rest of my team is just cannon fodder is not fun.
Everyone says this but there is no source for it. The OP image of this thread is a fricking toy they sold. Its called Hayabusa not Ryu Hayabusa and no copyright for ninja gaiden exists in halo 3s credits
I have to imagine that the Dragon Sword at least is something they could argue copyright on, but the helmet might be a generic enough design that they could get away with it by just renaming it.
The dragon sword is simply called katana. Im not trying to be an butthole but whenever people say Hayabusa cant come back to copyright I never find anything concrete or solid on it. The biggest thing to show evidence would be in halo 3s credits but Team Ninja had no copyrights and only had a special thanks in halo 3s credits.

I honestly don't have the source right now but like at least 1 or 2 years ago a mega construx employee said they can't re-release the hayabusa because of copyright issues so I guess the same applies to infinite.

Like I said earlier 343 will add Hayabusa to infinite since the only reason the game has shut down is apparently the store is enough to keep microsoft happy. A hayabusa bundle will fund the next halo game at this rate.
I also dont think a copyright exists microsoft owns the hayabusa spartan armor its just 343 were petty and never wanted to use 1 to 1 bungie designs until recently.

There was never an issue about copyright. It'd a long running rumor that is based on no fact. The more highly reason that armor, like other classic armors that didn't return in halo 4/5 is 343 were petty against bungie and only now in infinite do they cave and start adding back bungie made designs.
You know this is true because Halo mcc has Hayabusa. If it was a copyright issue like using bungie emblems in classic Halo 3 then they couldn't use Hayabusa. I did research on this back in the day and no there is no copyright on the name Hayabusa by Team Ninja and also the one who can override all decisions is Microsoft because they own them as producers. They didnt own bungie so they had no control of using Easter eggs like the destiny reference. If Hayabusa was owned by that other company, forgot the name, they couldn't use it in MCC. Even if it is Halo 3 on mcc, by legal terms mcc is considered a separate game and that why emblems and destiny reference can't be used but if Hayabusa can, it means there is no copyright issue more than likely.

Right, but the design is unique. If Team Ninja or KT decided to make a fuss about it, I'm pretty sure they'd succeed.

idunno I just personally think 343s disdain for older armor just made people think copyright was an issue.
Weird that it seems to be fine for the Hayabusa armor in MCC. Just kind of surprising the license seems to have lasted forever. A lot of games have removed content for expired licenses, so I just didn't imagine it would still be viable.
Unfortunately, Halo probably reached its peak in the zeitgeist a while ago, even if infinite has a good amount of players, 2 and 3 were legendary games that everyone knew about. So Halo toys aren't attached to a incredibly relevant franchise anymore
McFarlane's reach toys sucked except for the covie ones, all their spartans were stiff as shit with joint QA issues, paint slop, and you couldn't get a single accurate in game pose out of the frickers because their articulation was so limited
It's still up though and you can go play it right now, if anything you're just killing it even more by spreading the rumor of it being dead i don't see why you would want to though
>i don't see why you would want to though
Pc aim in the MCC was and still is so terrible its makes the multiplayer borderline unplayable.

This game looked insane for being on a 360, it still holds up graphically. masterful art style
Yep aside from close up face textures the environments and armor and most of all the lighting are all still really pleasant to look at.
this game still has the best spartan armor textures and design. everything went south after reach. god reach was trash, literally fricked the series and sent it in the wrong direction.

Is Hayabusa really under a cross over copyright? IS that why its never came back in games after 3?
Whenever I look it up people just say out their ass its under copyright. Halo 4 was gonna get Hayabusa btw but it was never added. It came back into MCC with no issues, microsoft made toys with the armor. I think Hayabusa will come back into Infinite since Halo 4/5 343 were extremely petty agasint bungie designs and only recently are they added non redesigned bungie armor in infinite.
I got this eventually but never wore it, it just didn’t look like it fit into the game.
Hayabusa is not hard to get lets be real here. Even before they changed the requirement to be just 1000 gamer score just find the skulls and grind achievements.
Two for one was a b***h
If Halo 3 came out in todays information age we would have a complete guide to getting hayabusa made in a week.
Imagine back then watching 360p videos of kids with bad mics trying to show you locations while they recorded the video through a cell phone
Zoomer you got no idea
I played in a group that co-op'd the entire game for an overnight to do the skull hunt on the hardest setting. Shit was fun to do with friends.
Do you guys actually play MCC still I hate these threads full of nostalgia tards who dont go out their way to play the games still.

A lot of games have removed content for expired licenses, so I just didn't imagine it would still be viable.
yooo what they made megablock stuff for Yoroi?
the structure is from dragon metal ages iirc
Hayabusa would looks really good on infinites Yoroi
The armor? Maybe. The game? Frick no
>EVA Helmet
>Security Left Shoulder
>Scout Right Shoulder
>EOD Chest
Dark Grey Primary, Cyan Secondary.
like cmon it fit super well in infinite
Infinite hasnt done a halo 3 season yet so calm your breasts it is apparently coming next though
Why are Halo toys so sparse/shit now?
I remember during Reach they were everywhere.
Fat female spartan asses.
Holy shit I loved that song and No-scope too
For me, security took the cake. Plus I liked Marathon.
IF I HAD A ROCKET LAUNCHER

I just want ElDewrito back,
Its not fricking fair how badly PC controls are on MCC collection.
>eldewrito
what happened to it? I stopped playing shortly after the 0.6.2 update or whatever it was called
From what I remeber Microsoft imidieatly kneecapped it by hiring the devs to work on the MCC collection pc port.
Whether or not
It's still up though and you can go play it right now, if anything you're just killing it even more by spreading the rumor of it being dead
i don't see why you would want to though
>i don't see why you would want to though
Pc aim in the MCC was and still is so terrible its makes the multiplayer borderline unplayable.
Also potential Ganker game nights
killed by mc ninjas
go back to 8chud please
Back? seems like people are still playing it judging from the discord talks so looks like it's still up
It's a fun play for nostalgia sakes but I have to admit H3 MCC mogs it in every way, especially now that they added all the Eldewrito maps to it
I dont even remember getting hayabusa, but what the frick those vidmaster achievements especially Deja Vu.
ITS JUST NOT WHAT YER USED TA
I thought this is a bootleg of Master Chief with Ninja Gaiden head attached to it.
Ninja Gaiden 4 in space
