15 was carried hard by a decade of hype and multiple tie-in media, including an anime and a movie featuring Hollywood actors
unironically, there was no way for 16 to match 15 level of short-lived success
The game is so cinematic I don't know why anyone would even bother buying this game. Just go watch it on youtube and spare yourself mashing the square button to trigger the next cinematic.
I don't understand the sales obsession. A company could release a 10/10 perfect game that flops hard but you still get to play it. Meanwhile look at how popular gachashit and shovelware games from yearly release franchises are. Unless you want popularity to potentially spawn another 10/10, something that's always hard to nail with sequels anyway. I know the answer, it's people looking for validation or a weapon to swing. It just feels meaningless.
XVI has no grand sense of adventure.
You go from stage to stage and it's pretty fun but it's a kind of muted fun. There's no wonder. You don't ever go somewhere and just gawk at all the shit you can do (because you can't do a lot of shit)
that's what XV had in spades, actual adventuring in a giant ass world
15 truly did commit irreparable damage to the IP, huh
remake did fine.
>Nostalgiabait ""remake"" sold good
Imagine my shock
4 million sales for a "legendary" remake isn't fine. Even your average RE game sells more than that.
XV was well liked outside of here
it was not. cope
>everyone in my bubble liked it

13*
Not defending this game, but it's a console exclusive.. What the frick did people or Squeenix think would happen?
No, 13 did.
I blame XV for being garbage
Hoping for digital as a saving grace is pure cope. Just like it was for FE Engage.
but engage sold good tho
kneel
the famitsu thread on thursday is going to be hilarious
why did they drop this shit ps exclusive when the word of mouth is going to kill it dead before anyone on PC bothers buying it?

>UK sales
That means nothing. After the demo, game ask you to buy the game, digital version
>cultists already seething
>buzzword
>imagine how mad cultists are to make shit memes like this

Hoping they get over FF so they can start focusing in DQ.
digital has massively increased since 15 and even remake
> This rpg game doesn't need buffs, debuffs, interesting gear, skills, atb, shields, mana, stamina, breakable parts, linked attacks, elemental interactions...
>rpg fans don't buy it
>Persona is now a bigger IP than Final Fantasy
lol
lmao
>persona troons have to wait 10 years for a new game to come out
No wonder they spend everyday seething about FF
Did you really just say that in the same sentence as FF.....Did you morons forget about development hell most of your shit games are stuck in?
Bongs are too poor to buy video games after brexit.
