The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna after I picked up it and the base game in the winter sale. Just got 3 of the silver sigil puzzles left before I'm done. Pretty good game, looking forwards to trying out the sequel when it's next on sale.
Just finished Obra Dinn and now thinking of starting Prey.
Played for about 2 hours before on PC but stopped for whatever reason. Seems comfy to play in bed.
Also looking for a decent roguelike game.
A valve engineer said the earliest a SteamDeck 2 would out in the truest sense would be 2026. So just buy an OLED now, its already a gamechanger compared to the LCD model

Been emulating Siren Ps3 too, runs really well, I remember the game better than I expected
Its also the only siren I beat, hope I can beat the first 2 ones this time
How do I solve the issue with pirated games on Lutris not being able to use the controller properly? Sometimes only touch works/certain buttons. It's very inconsistent.
I am launching Lutris through gaming mode and then launching the specific game I want to play in Lutris.
Most games seem to force touch controls so I'm sure I have fricked something up but not sure what.
I'm the opposite. Sold my 4070 and only play games on my Deck. Have a PS5 which is used only for Bluray, but I'll likely check out the TLOU II revision.
With the Deck I can chill out and play anywhere, with the PC you're sat upright with a controller in your hand, feels almost like a performance and not relaxing.
That's okay man, we all have our preferences. I personally like couch gaming so I just have a high end pc hooked up to an oled tv and use an xbox pad for most stuff
I've been playing Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver, and just yesterday started Backpack Hero. Open to suggestions for casual, right-before-bed, kind of games.
Playing though Xenosaga 3 then gonna play Parasite Eve and Xenogears afterwards. The deck is the ultimate JRPG machine. I had friends who used the vita similarly but the screen and buttons were too small for me and I ended up selling mine without using it much.
I managed to emulate Tales of Hearts r and Tales of Innocence r, even hd textures, on vita3k
This shit is amazing.
Even the tales of trapped in ps3 run great.
I doubt Ill buy any console again tbh

Anyone find any essential 3DS games that run exponentially better on native hardware then steam deck?
I have a n3DS, but I'm contemplating selling it since it seems most of the heavy hitters on the platform run well enough on steam deck.
not 3DS but the OG TWEWY is still the best game in the entire series. I suppose you could finagle something with trackpads and trigger buttons but it loses the core experience and how some fights are top to bottom screen.
That's true, yeah I guess I'm also asking which games lose a lot of their value by losing the dual screen setup. I already played TWEWY years ago on the Lite so I'm good on that one, good suggestion though. What a classic.
I wonder if hotel dusk feels better or worse on a steamdeck. Its one of the few games you actually play horizontally so arguably better on traditional set up but at the same time its meant to feel like a book with the UI and such.
Hotel Dusk just doesn't work. I've tried. Even touch screen stuff doesn't work for me for some reason. Maybe I need to mess with more options but im just gonna bh8se lazy instead.
I tried Citra and it had an up/down option. Maybe you can even make it to the sides if I investigate the options more

Fps are one of those games where its a pain in the ass to adapt. I spend some time trying to make some first person ps1 games playable, the results were good but you need to be patient
Another game I would like to give another try is Nanashi Game in ds, the exploration was really painful but I have more experience now so maybe I can manage to make it playable
i can't get my dump of metal max 4 3ds to run on deck, but i could have just got a bad dump.
but yeah i'm impressed with how ds/3ds games run on deck as well. there's this niche game i used to play on my DS-XL called 'i love zombies'
and i'm finding that mapping a screen region to the touch pad is far more intuitive and comfortable to play than it is on native hardware (despite a larger touch screen on the DS-XL)
right that reminds me, the best version of chrono trigger is on the DS since it has all the animated cutscenes of the PSX version without the loading screens
I love my Deck but I'll always keep my hacked 3DS around because you really can't emulate the ergonomics and dual screen experience that those games are designed around.
lies of poopoopeepee. Poorgay here, anyone knows if the Steam Deck will get a sale soon?
Like during it's release date anniversary in February or something?
I really want the OLED one but I only have enough for the 512GB LED.
Probably during the summer sale. Otherwise, you could try getting an officially refurbished one since they are quite a bit cheaper and also come with a warranty.
There's not a single refurbished one on stock on Steam, and the ones listed are just the LCD to begin with, which I can already afford, but I just really want the longer battery and more silent fans.
it took a long while for the original LCD to get its first sale, 10% off but it was like 50 dollars, you'd have to wait until the next winter sale
Weren't all Decks on sale when the OLED came out? Or was it just the LCD ones?

I don't want to start a flame wars but at this point isn't getting the Asus Rog Ally just a str8 upgrade from the deck? I'm planning to get one on febuary
Power wise yes, the thing is the Deck is cheaper and will also have a way better battery life.
Those making these consoles with those powerful CPUs, 1080p screens and such then forget that this means it'll have like a 1 hour long battery life.
not to mention >windows
many games still have a microstuttering problem and when windows is just randomly eating cpu, SSD, and network performance to call home on a device where you need every cent of performance you can get, AND the steamdeck is more seamless in its use function. If theres one thing Ive observed in my collection of UMPCs its that people use their steam decks, people brag about performance on their not steam decks, and then barely touch them aside from posting a picture showing they own it
Deck has a better control layout, and Ally only performs better when plugged in, so it depends on your use case, not a straight upgrade, more a side grade.
ROG Ally is lacking touchpads which are a game changer, the battery life is significantly worse which defeats the purpose of a handheld even in bed/couch/toilet unless you want to carry the charger everywhere, and the hardware/software support is almost non-existent. I would also argue the extra resolution is wasted on a screen that small and close, but that’s a personal opinion.
The deck is unequivocally the superior device because it leverages the same benefits that allow consoles with 1/10th of the power and memory to compete with PCs. The Ally is not a terrible device, I just think the deck does it better.
Only if you don't care about user experience. Windows is fricking trash even on a desktop I can't imagine myself trying to use it without mouse and keyboard on 7" screen.
>Grandia (Saturn)
I was told this with the translation patch and a widescreen fix was the definite way to play the first game. I didn't manage to get the widescreen fix to work and FMVs have issues, but otherwise I'm loving the game.
Yo, did you make a .m3u of the two discs? I lost my save entirely trying to swap discs with specifically Grandia (Saturn). You should make that m3u playlist before you get much more into the game. It's very easy, google should fill you in.
Saturn emulation is still hit/miss.
Ignore idiots telling you to only use bettle core because yeah it works but most of your games will look and run like shit.
Use emudeck, retroarch and use shiroyabause (or whatever its called) for 3D games then Bettle for 2D games.
Dont forget you'll need the right bios and cartridge set up for both
the OLED is magically lighter than the LCD is ways I cant describe. But I've played for 2-3 hours straight of Tales of Berseria without feel any stress in my wrist and I have girly wrists
Steam Deck is where I play my japanime games on my second Steam account.
They're mostly not actual lewd games or anything, I just know that's what my friends/family would assume. Gal Guardians, Death End Request, Code Vein, Bloodstained, Atelier, Disgaea, Neptunia, Persona, Ys, Tales, etc.
this page, redditrannies have found a way to pre-add items to their carts via steamdb and set up notifications so they can know THE MOMENT one of these becomes available in stock
i've only opened this page and seen a 256 available once in the entire time its been up and i check pretty often
Right, always thought it was weird how these were always out of stock.
Is it even that good of an idea buying a refurbished one?
from valve? yeah the refurbished units are legit.
buying one from gamestop on the other hand is not verified, and there are many reports of people saying shit like 'my device was stolen' etc.

>spent more time posting in this thread than playing games on my deck
whats nice about the deck is I can walk away from my laptop and play on my couch, I should do that before my sunday is over
Yeah, i would buy a simple cheap Althon/Pentium handheld to be able to play simple PC games.
$70-80 Windows tablets exist so i fail to see why a handheld cant exist at that price.
Is the OLED worth the upgrade over LCD? I have shelved my SD for now because it’s just a bit too heavy and large for constant travel and the battery life really wasn’t doing it for me. I heard the oled is lighter and has better battery but idk if it makes it worth it over the portability of a switch.
its a game changer imo
i have my SD perma docked to a 2 monitor set up and OLED as my portable gaming device
bettery battery, lighter, 90hz panel (means less input latency for older games etc.)
You can always spot someone new to deck emulation when they use covers outside the emulators that run them. No point in flooding your library for a bunch of games you will finish in a day or two.
This is the only game I have been playing on my deck since Christmas Day. I also only first played this on steam via the Deck, so those hours are entirely from the deck.
I'm probably almost done at least, so I imagine I'll tap out at around 80 hours, still have: >8 Catwoman Campaigns >Predator Challenges and Campaigns for Robin and Nightwing >finishing off NG+
And a couple miscellaneous gameplay achievements.
Also spent all of Christmas Eve and the Eve of Christmas Eve playing Asylum.
I don't even like these games that much, but the Deck revitalized my interest. It's even making me considering a playthrough of Origins, which I couldn't play more than an hour of when it came out.
hmm ok so i just finished reading the thread and it sounds like the deck didn't do very well huh? maybe next time it won't be as 'shitted' and 'flopped' as you are all saying
>Touhou games >Smash remix 1.5 >sonic robo blast 2 >sonic adventure 2 >f zero x
has anyone gotten f zero x DD working on their deck? i've never tried it even though i been play f zero x for decades
Currently playing 13 sentinels on yuzu but it starts to stutter an hour into gameplay. Has anyone else played the game on the deck and what settings would you reccomend for smoother gameplay experience
The fact it uses Zen 2 instead 3 or 4 is a huge let down, maybe once Zen 4c gets cheap.
Will RDNA4 APUs be a thing in two years (when the Deck 2 will likely actually happen)? I have no idea what AMDs hardware development pipeline looks like at all
FFXIV. Had to start a new job just to get used to the crossbar controls but it feels pretty natural now (lvl 56) and it's way better not having to use my wired mmo mouse + kb at the desk
Why would you bring a game system to a party outside of bringing one with a dock to hook up to a TV to play Jackbox or something? Could you explain it to me anon I'm very confused

I have played it to death now and need something new but I'm not sure what'll fill the void.
Playing Slay The Spire in bed listening to XFM for the first time is honestly in my top 5 vidya experiences of all time.
Metroidvanias most of the time. I finished blasphemous 1, 2. Deaths gambit, several others and Im now playing last faith which is then followed by grime. Love my 'eck
A friend of mine is going to USA and he could bring me a deck. Problem is: I can't find the oled anywhere on retail, and I can't buy off steam without a USA card because it is not sold in my country. Any workaround?
Nobody saves the world and dirt 3
ffxiii trilogy, mostly just doing performance mods and stuff, its fun getting it to run at 60fps and then not play them
octopath 2
Try playing Alan Wake 2 or the latest Avatar lol
>Try this goyslop
No, I'm good, thank you though.
no good games have been released in over ten years now
No good video games have ever been released ever in the history of mankind.
>Try playing FOTM moviegame or latest FarCry reskin.
Thanks, anon. I'm fine.
Currently nothing because I'm either at work or at home where my PC is now. Played a lot of Hades and Holocure last month.
The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna after I picked up it and the base game in the winter sale. Just got 3 of the silver sigil puzzles left before I'm done. Pretty good game, looking forwards to trying out the sequel when it's next on sale.

Should I buy an OLED now or wait another year for the next gen of decks? Tech is already getting old right?
A valve engineer said the earliest a SteamDeck 2 would out in the truest sense would be 2026. So just buy an OLED now, its already a gamechanger compared to the LCD model
My plan is to ride the OLED out until the Steam Deck 2 gets its OLED revision equivalent
I would laugh but also not be surprised if the SteamDeck 2 came out with an LCD, and then seeing people have the OLED vs LCD argument again
>My plan is to ride the OLED out until the Steam Deck 2 gets its OLED revision equivalent
Deck 2 will not launch with a screen that is markedly inferior to the OLED 2023 Deck
Didn't they suggest 2025
Try 2 or 3 years.
Been playing Noita, and OG Stalker games. Gonna try PS Remote play with my PS4 to see if Bloodborne on Deck is possible (I think it should work)
Playing Hogwarts legacy
Runs fairly well but not perfectly, I'm surprised it got deck goty
So, I finally started playing Yooka-Layley, the 2D one. I am enjoying it much m more than I expected.
Enter the Gungeon, Pizza Tower, RE4, I also used to play CP2077 on my deck streaming from my PC, might do it again since I bought PL.
it's pretty fun
Still fricking waiting for mine.

Been emulating Siren Ps3 too, runs really well, I remember the game better than I expected

Which Siren has the little girl with an uzi? If its even a Siren game.
I dont remember that, though I think Siren ps3 was the american remake of one of the siren games
How do I solve the issue with pirated games on Lutris not being able to use the controller properly? Sometimes only touch works/certain buttons. It's very inconsistent.
You should be able to edit your controls easily
When launching certain games the controls just behave entirely differently and the option to bind keys within the game just isn't possible.
are you launching them in gaming mode or desktop mode? in desktop mode shit is kind of weird cause you're binded to your desktop controls
I am launching Lutris through gaming mode and then launching the specific game I want to play in Lutris.
Most games seem to force touch controls so I'm sure I have fricked something up but not sure what.
Do you have the controls in touch by default?
In Lutris? Or Deck in general? I haven't tinkered with any of them if so, and no games running through Steam has this issue.
Lutris automatically adds your games on Steam, look for the game, then press steam and check out which control scheme you are using
Hm, it didn't work when I applied my own controller scheme but downloading a community one worked.
Thanks for helping out.
>Lutris automatically adds your games on Steam, look for the game, then press steam and check out which control scheme you are using
I use that Non Steam Launchers app and add games manually. Am I missing out by not using Lutris?
Neon White and Thief Gold. Setting up good controls for Thief has been as much fun as the game.
neon white with the hybrid+gyro community profile is easily my favorite experience on deck and i've been using mine for over a year now

Cyberspunk and many others

cool story. anyways, I'm playing some Brotato
I was thinking of buying a deck recently too but instead gonna get either new CPU or VR headset. Or a 3d printer. Not sure yet. Deck is just redundant
agreed, my phone can do literally everything the deck can do and more
it is a pointless device
your phone cant even play PC games unless youre talking about streaming or some shit

I've been playing Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver, and just yesterday started Backpack Hero. Open to suggestions for casual, right-before-bed, kind of games.
Games like Myst, Pathologic and Darkwood for some reason relax me a lot, even if they are horror, I like to advance a little then sleep.
MAME emulation
Started playing Stick of Truth. It's actually pretty fun so far.
That reminds me I've been meaning to play shattered but hole
It's a better paper mario game than modern paper mario
I've been going through the classic genesis sonic games as of late.
I'm playing through S3&K with Knuckles and Tails right now
Now that i understand lutris better I wanna retry to install and play SH2, dino crisis and RE Rebirth cool versions

Deck has a better control layout, and Ally only performs better when plugged in, so it depends on your use case, not a straight upgrade, more a side grade.
Yes, I refunded my deck almost immediately after getting the Ally and never looked back.
Great, can you posts captures of your Ally?
Ok, sorry for bad photo. My friend take it.
>esl
>google photo
?
Not a straight upgrade, some parts are better some worse. Ally has worse battery life.
Windows is a pain in the ass to navigate with just control sticks.
I'd rather play at 45fps on an OLED with all the Deck control options, vs something more powerful at 60fps that's using Windows.
>45fps
Only if you don't care about user experience. Windows is fricking trash even on a desktop I can't imagine myself trying to use it without mouse and keyboard on 7" screen.
If it weren't made by ASUS maybe. ASUS has gone down the shitter over the past few years.
>look up the 64GB Deck
>eMCC SSD
Isn't eMCC just the same storage phones use?
How does this count as an SSD?
people just replace the SSD after buying the 64gb model anyway, Valve is doing you a favor by making it 100 dollars cheaper than the next model
I already have a Deck, I was just curious as to how that kind of storage counts as an SSD.
>Grandia (Saturn)
I was told this with the translation patch and a widescreen fix was the definite way to play the first game. I didn't manage to get the widescreen fix to work and FMVs have issues, but otherwise I'm loving the game.
baste grandia enjoyer
Yo, did you make a .m3u of the two discs? I lost my save entirely trying to swap discs with specifically Grandia (Saturn). You should make that m3u playlist before you get much more into the game. It's very easy, google should fill you in.
m3u chads have so much sex its unreal
What's the best standalone Saturn emulator for the Deck? I already have EmuDeck installed and I despise RetroArch.
in emudeck steam rom manager only turn on the parser for retroarch saturn beetle core
in-game you wont even realize it is retroarch
Saturn emulation is still hit/miss.
Ignore idiots telling you to only use bettle core because yeah it works but most of your games will look and run like shit.
Use emudeck, retroarch and use shiroyabause (or whatever its called) for 3D games then Bettle for 2D games.
Dont forget you'll need the right bios and cartridge set up for both
Has anyone here tried playing star wars battlefront 1 and 2? Not EA's, I know they run fine
>not EAs
theyre all EAs
What? I'm pretty sure the first two back in the mid 2000's had no EA involvement at all
frick me I forgot Lucasarts used to exist and have money
Are legion go friends welcome here?
As long as you talk about what games you're playing.
sure, what are you playing today?
Probably some more cyberpunk, finally got some gfx settings that are a good compromise, just need to finally mess with the dead zones on the sticks
Frick me, deck is too fricking big and heavy.
My wrists hurts like hell from playing this shit for hours on end.
the OLED is magically lighter than the LCD is ways I cant describe. But I've played for 2-3 hours straight of Tales of Berseria without feel any stress in my wrist and I have girly wrists
Dohna dohna is the only vn that keeps crashing on my deck.
sounds like you have a dick issue
I made my pc stop crashing by cumming on the PSU
you need to run it through wine, it will keep crashing on you if you just run it native or with proton.
I followed this and it works like a charm
Enable JP locale
Wrong. I just finished it over Proton-GE in game mode.
Porn and ps2 games
my 100 bucks thinkpad can do that too, with a better screen and more storage
but can you lie sideways in bed with your thinkpad?
yeah?
>steamies don't even know
You don't have that laptop.
>y-you don't haven and x200
homie lmao it's a 100 bucks laptop that shits all over your troonydeck
A deck is 4x the performance of a x200 you Black person
>4x performance to play ps2 games
lmao you Black folk are coping so hard wtffffffffff
And yet you don't have one.
many people saying this
based thinkpadchad btfo'd decktrannies
Yet no one of you have that, just like you pretended to have Ally.
Buying a laptop to play games on.
You've only got yourself to blame.
Kek, this tendie is desperate
You thinkpad trannies need to frick off, and I say this owning a t480.
and yet you don't, and when you try to as you tell yourself this is totally just as good, youll quickly stop
>it took over a year for the general public to realize how right this anon was
Also hoping for snoy to be less moronic and port GOW trilogy, Gravity Rush, infamous etc to pc too
>drakengard 3 runs better on Steam deck than on my ps3
What kind of black magic is this
Is there a script/program being used in this pic to make the emulated games show up in steam or does that have to be done manually?
emudeck
Colin McRae Rally 2005
Steam Deck is where I play my japanime games on my second Steam account.
They're mostly not actual lewd games or anything, I just know that's what my friends/family would assume. Gal Guardians, Death End Request, Code Vein, Bloodstained, Atelier, Disgaea, Neptunia, Persona, Ys, Tales, etc.
Coward
you realize you can set games and purchases to private, right?
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/1150-C06F-4D62-4966
Yeah that's very recent and I'll trust it not to leak shit in a year or two.
For example what happens if someone attempts to gift me one of those games? Does it say "uhhhhhh we can't say why, but they can't accept this gift"?
Roleplaying as a moron is how he spends his sundays btw
>tfw have 4 steamdecks in my purchase history
I only have 1 OLED now atm but it is pretty funny looking back
i short circuited one so i have 3 in total, 1 oled
want to pick up a refurbished 64 just to set up another PC in the house but they are being botted to hell
> they are being botted to hell
What do you mean?
NTA but they're constantly sold out, the refurbrished ones. You can still buy a new LCD but damn look at these prices
Right, always thought it was weird how these were always out of stock.
Is it even that good of an idea buying a refurbished one?
from valve? yeah the refurbished units are legit.
buying one from gamestop on the other hand is not verified, and there are many reports of people saying shit like 'my device was stolen' etc.
its valve refurbrished, every other company hires third party to do it which is why they get a bad name.
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamdeckrefurbished/
this page, redditrannies have found a way to pre-add items to their carts via steamdb and set up notifications so they can know THE MOMENT one of these becomes available in stock
i've only opened this page and seen a 256 available once in the entire time its been up and i check pretty often
Reminds me of what they did to the Artifact fanbase
One of hte older Tomb Raider today, yesterday played some Deep rock galactic which was comfy as frick

meant for
>spent more time posting in this thread than playing games on my deck
whats nice about the deck is I can walk away from my laptop and play on my couch, I should do that before my sunday is over
skill issue
i've been playing a VN this entire morning while posting here :v)
Any chink x86 handhelds in the $100-150 range?
?si=3_AH0Z9aDxAl9xn-&t=482
>ARM
I said x86, ARM sucks and i would be able to play emulators at best.
there's a handheld pc (x86) section in the video
but no none of those are cheap
Yeah, i would buy a simple cheap Althon/Pentium handheld to be able to play simple PC games.
$70-80 Windows tablets exist so i fail to see why a handheld cant exist at that price.
got a smartphone in your pocket?
DECK WON
Is the OLED worth the upgrade over LCD? I have shelved my SD for now because it’s just a bit too heavy and large for constant travel and the battery life really wasn’t doing it for me. I heard the oled is lighter and has better battery but idk if it makes it worth it over the portability of a switch.
its a game changer imo
i have my SD perma docked to a 2 monitor set up and OLED as my portable gaming device
bettery battery, lighter, 90hz panel (means less input latency for older games etc.)
Honestly get one of those slim 7840U PC handhelds. They're way better.
Lots of Halo, Crash Bandicoot 2 and the ME trilogy
Sitting on mine until Persona 3 hits.
forgot pic
i kinda wanna get the plugin that tells you the playtime for emudeck.
same, i used to have one in the past but then it just broke on a steam update and the devs abandoned it
i was using it to track my hours played and ever since i lost all that data i've just been manually tracking it on backloggd.cum
but i wouldn't mind it for h-games since no database on the interwebs lets you track hours for that
Use Playtime. Works for both Steam and non-Steam games.
Covers for emulated games is a waste of space on multiple levels.
sneed + cope moment
You can always spot someone new to deck emulation when they use covers outside the emulators that run them. No point in flooding your library for a bunch of games you will finish in a day or two.
literally no, especially if the artwork is handpicked
yea good thing you can just remove those games you finished from your library
>bro that 500kb bro
how? the whole point of covers is to make browsing the library less onerous
he's the type to download entire romsets and only browse them in emulation station (aka literally never plays games)
This is the only game I have been playing on my deck since Christmas Day. I also only first played this on steam via the Deck, so those hours are entirely from the deck.
I'm probably almost done at least, so I imagine I'll tap out at around 80 hours, still have:
>8 Catwoman Campaigns
>Predator Challenges and Campaigns for Robin and Nightwing
>finishing off NG+
And a couple miscellaneous gameplay achievements.
Also spent all of Christmas Eve and the Eve of Christmas Eve playing Asylum.
I don't even like these games that much, but the Deck revitalized my interest. It's even making me considering a playthrough of Origins, which I couldn't play more than an hour of when it came out.
hmm ok so i just finished reading the thread and it sounds like the deck didn't do very well huh? maybe next time it won't be as 'shitted' and 'flopped' as you are all saying
many people saying this
>many people saying this
Its the same shitposter you mongolian baboon. He posts the same post in every deck thread.
>many people posting the exact same thing

schizo
>LCD deck is desktop
>OLED deck is gaming
>can use KDE connect to send files between my two decks

so I'll maybe have to go work for weeks at a time away from home, why would I get a steam deck instead of a gayming laptop?
You wouldn't, you would get the laptop since you are going to work.
>not having a company-provided laptop exclusively for work
what kinda fly by night company you working for?
Companies will give you a shitty intel laptop without a GPU 90% of the time.
you're not supposed to be gaming on it, or even be able to install games
>gayming laptop?
they overheat with nothing running and are constantly thermal throttled = stuttering in every game
i miss /f/

has anyone gotten f zero x DD working on their deck? i've never tried it even though i been play f zero x for decades
Playing some Minish Cap now, might do some Eldin Ring later.
Based, picked this game up in the winter sale. It’s cute and fun :3
Currently playing 13 sentinels on yuzu but it starts to stutter an hour into gameplay. Has anyone else played the game on the deck and what settings would you reccomend for smoother gameplay experience
>yuzu
use ryuujinx
also grab a shader dump from ryuusak or the archive of it because i think that shit got shut down
Worth paying +$120 more for an OLED deck?
getting the right switch u roms such a pain doe
I will wait for the steam deck 2
Good decision
The fact it uses Zen 2 instead 3 or 4 is a huge let down, maybe once Zen 4c gets cheap.
Will RDNA4 APUs be a thing in two years (when the Deck 2 will likely actually happen)? I have no idea what AMDs hardware development pipeline looks like at all
Its been 3 years since their last genreation, something needs to come out already.
I'm pretty sure she said you little twerp when I played it, was it patched?
picrel is awesome on deck
Shame it's locked to 30fps, but it's surprisingly playable, I guess the frame timing is good enough
FFXIV. Had to start a new job just to get used to the crossbar controls but it feels pretty natural now (lvl 56) and it's way better not having to use my wired mmo mouse + kb at the desk
Just finished mass effect legendry edition, starting warhammer 40k boltgun next
Deck controls with Rimworld are way better than I expected so I'm falling back into my addiction
Does xenia emu work well?
no
deck is shit and flop in this regard
Xenia does not even work well on a normal PC.
Just finished a full playthrough of Lost Odyssey on Xenia so at the very least that specific game works

I've only tried conker l&r but like everyone else says, it's not very good, but it's more of a xenia issue

imagine bringing this brick to a party.
>hey guys i brought a steam deck who wants to watch me emulate mario party?!
Why would you bring a game system to a party outside of bringing one with a dock to hook up to a TV to play Jackbox or something? Could you explain it to me anon I'm very confused
I don't think anyone is buying a deck in order to bring it to a party.
Do you usually bring your vidya stuff to parties?
>they dont know about the mario kart meta
oh you poor summer childs
>childs
Yes you can emulate any party/gathering game you want to the TV
>emulate mario party with the lads
>emulate smash ultimate with the lads
>emulate mario kart with the lads
>emulate smelee with the lads
>emulate kirby star ride with the lads
>play splitscreen Barony with the lads

literally yes
taking a week off work and if it doesn't run on deck i'll just play https://store.steampowered.com/app/2008510/Go_Mecha_Ball/
A week off to play sounds great, I'm jealous.
And no way it doesn't run. The previous games run well.

A friend of mine is going to USA and he could bring me a deck. Problem is: I can't find the oled anywhere on retail, and I can't buy off steam without a USA card because it is not sold in my country. Any workaround?
Just buy US steam cards and buy it using that?
How's koikatsu on it? I'm worried about 16 gigs as the game can eat up my 32 gigs on desktop.
Just waiting for Deck 2
Playing Megaman Battle Network 1. On the Elecman stage right now. I remember it being way worse when I played it as a kid
