devs use achievements for data collection on what parts of the game actually got experienced. They don't wanna frick up their data with inputs from modded saves and whatnot.
That's ridiculous. The mod disable thing would've lead to a shitton of data being lost, because most people wouldn't play Special Edition until the modding scene for it caught up to Vanilla. I didn't have Unbound on my account until just this year, and it was only to make a save for Skyrim Together, and many players tell similar stories.
it's fricking stupid when you just want better looking grass and it disables achievements but you can just install another mod to enable achievements again
I've never seen this before. Is this a new homosexual Skyrim anniversary thing or something? I've definitely gotten all my achievements playing with mods. I disabled that anniversary update because I knew it'd break most mods and I'm way too lazy to update them, assuming they even had updates for the new version.
There is literally untraceable and undetectable steam cheevo unlocker.
Indeed why care about them, when every single one of them can be cheated with no way of knowing?
>Indeed why care about them, when every single one of them can be cheated with no way of knowing?
I used to think like this, but now I've come to just enjoy collecting achievements for the sake of it, I don't do it for gamer cred or something like a moron. I feel I get to know a game better once I 100% the achievements because most the time they force me to do things I normally wouldn't do. The fact that they can be cheated to get makes no difference to me since no one will ever see mine and I'm not looking at yours. Achievements are like having a micro penis but you're also insanely ugly, the micro penis doesn't really matter since you were never going to use it anyway. Quote me on that.
That's got to be a really small cross-section of players though, who care about having achievements unlocked, but don't actually care to earn them, and also are willing to use such things
couldn't you just download a save file with all the achievement triggers checked and just get them all that way? some games do that but it's been 6 years since I played the original skyrim on my PC (never bought or installed that legendary crap) so I don't know if you can do that in the game or not
I know for a fact you can just console command any quest to any state and speedrun achievements that way
Good. Achievements are a waste of time and provide nothing worthwhile. They only exist for checklist homosexuals that have to be told how to play a video game.
It's stupid, but the logic is they don't want people just loading up a mod that insta-completes achievements by brute forcing it through the code.
why who cares
they do dumbfrick, ask a dumber question next time
Clearly you do or you wouldn't be crying about it moron.
Why do YOU care if the cheevos are disabled? That shoots both ways anon

fricking rekt
I don't know. Not me. Not you either, right?
Next question.
cry more gay
There are countless turboautists who treat achievements in games like real achievements lmao
hilarious because you can get a mod to remove the fact you cant get achievements on modded saves
Even more doubly stupid because SAM exists.
People have been using SAM for well over a decade at this point and it's completely separate from mods. Shit's moronic.
>opens cheat engine
What now
Doesn't even work because skyrim and f4 have mods that enable achievements.
What are the conditions that trigger this? I know for a fact that I played Skyrim modded and it never disabled my achievements.
LE doesn't but SE and AE do.
it's fricking stupid when you just want better looking grass and it disables achievements but you can just install another mod to enable achievements again
Because Bethesda is the Black personest company in gaming industry
You can still complete the tasks that trigger achievements so literally who gives a shit if you don't trigger achievements

It’s a console issue and I feel it shouldn’t even be an issue at all.
I completely forgot they have some mod store thing for consoles now.
>open console
>prime myself to get achievement
>relaunch game
>get achievement

It's because achievements are currency for consoles. Thanks again, consoles. The gift that keeps on giving.
You could be giving yourself all sorts of shit that makes the achievements easier

Just play vanilla
