Was the State of Play yesterday really that bad?
I preordered Bloodborne and picked it up from Gamestop the day it came out. I have probably played through it a dozen or so times and it's one of my favorite games.
I would like to see Bloodborne properly ported to PS5 and PC with an uncapped framerate and with the option to disable both motion blur and chromatic aberration.

The real reason is that it was developed with PS3 architecture in mind, then shifted to PS4 during development and is now an absolute nightmare to port. I work for Sonys localisation department (roast me about Gravity Rush) and I'm fricking honestly about to quit because the higher ups want BB on PC, but we have no idea how to fricking make it emulate properly on PC in engine. It's a nightmare. It will eventually come, but it's a long way off.
Also, we have to redo a few things that FS failed to do in the original release, like fix the fire animation from tanking framerate.
Pray for me and pray for our little team getting dunked on by Sony wiener.

It's not that hard to understand from both their perspectives:
Sony: They know the IP is meaningless if FromSoft doesn't work on it and even though it's an exclusive to the Playstation ecosystem it's a FromSoftware game - they also really cant do anything with it without FS's involvement whereas games like Horizon, Until Dawn, TLOU are all their current studio games which they have control over, why focus on BB just because some twitter gays are asking for it?
FromSoftware's point of view: Why bother working on an IP you don't own? Just make another Sekiro, Armored Core or Dark Souls/ER/New thing
Solution: Sony needs to stop being a bunch of homosexuals and sell/give the IP to FromSoftware so they can do something with it and in return they could still publish it + hold some exclusivity rights

it's one of the more overrated from games. Sekiro is miles better and its honestly on par with ds2 its better than ds3 which isn't saying much
PS5 is bacwards compatible. They eill only do it ehen they really need to.
it unironcally has more hype than most other ps exclusives. they are capitalizing on this by keeping it on their services, and will churn out a remaster in a few more years. i just hope they add an arena. i really enjoy the fast paced pvp(parrying heals feels so good), but the bell maidens mechanic sucks ass

I'd assume it didn't sell like The Last of Us, Uncharted or God of War, but really? And if it did sell well, was their master plan really to put out a console with nothing I want for several years and then sell me a """remaster""" for $70?
They already set the precedent that new hardware would run older games at a higher fidelity in the previous console generation with the PS4 Pro. I can't see myself ever giving Sony my business again because of the way they've chosen to renege on that with my favorite PS4 game on the PS5. I can't help but take it personally because they singled out the one game I would probably be most interested in playing on PS5 between major releases (lol) were I to own one.
