I think he respected that someone would die for what they believe in.
Especially if that person believed in something good.

I don't see how it was offensive to Christians. If anything it was pro-Christian.

Sidequest where you're asked to kill this guy for killing someone else - instead you can help him atone by crucifying himself; you don't have to even watch this - or you can nail him to the cross yourself - one of the more varied side quests

Criminal on death row that decided he needed to get right with God before being executed. Wanted to be crucified and a TV crew was going to film it and distribute it.

    >Preceding mission makes it impossible to actually help the guy you were hired to help avenge his wife
    >He's scripted to die to the point where the guy that shoots him is immortal
    >Quick saving and quick loading are disabled so if you're dumb enough to think you actually have options in how the missions proceed you have to waste 5ish minutes redoing the mission from the very start

      >to think you actually have options in how the missions proceed
Why would you ever expect that in a linear game like this? It's not an immersive sim

        Okay but the trunk mission

why would you expect any player choice? it's an action adventure game, not an RPG.

Because the game was falsely advertised as offering player choice.

I enjoyed Cyberpunk, but it's moronic to just shrug off legitimate criticism.

This shit pissed me off so much I quit the mission and didn't actually play it for weeks. It was kino once it got going but god damn was that intro dogshit

Completely missed this quest the first time around since your introduction to it involves just riding with the client and killing the dude. You're not 'supposed' to do that, but I was so OP that I just walked all over his police escort AND the Max Tac goons they sent to stop me. Never thought there was more to the quest since most of them are 'just go here, kill everybody or whatever, get out.'

Second time around was weird. They keep giving you opportunities to back out of crucifying the guy, but like... who cares? It's just some random npc that spends ten minutes telling you how badly he wants to be crucified, fricking go for it bro. By the time you get the quest you've already killed like two thousand people in game, but 'this' is supposed to make you feel guilty? Just bad writing.

plus it's not even a GTA thing where your rampages aren't 'canon', V kills for a living and that's the whole basis of the story

You never actually have to kill anyone in game, you always have the option to just knock them out

It's really cool that you can play non-lethal at all. Makes V a lot more sympathetic in my view.

I've never done the Royce quests cause I kill him every single playthrough. There are a decent amount of missable quests.
