I'm on my first campaign after finishing the tutorial, but even though I like the concept it just feels like there is too much micro of all the units you end up having.
Having worker units build shit instead of doing it via the city menu feels weird

I really liked it but dropped it before even finishing the first campaign cause of rage quitting. it felt like you already needed to know the map to beat the missions
Campaign sucks. Get the balance mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=661597466) and play scenarios/random maps.
... or just play AoW2 instead, but I guess zoomers are naturally adverse toward games older than they are
It's not really about the campaigns, man. I have 450 hours in AoW3 and I barely touched the campaign at all. I mean, play it if you want to but it's clearly not the focus of the game.

If you wonder why the kids look so strange, it's because they let players upload pics of their kids and they were drawn into the game.
It's a shame, because besides the late game memory leaks and slowdown, there are some very interesting game mechanics here.

It's a good game. I put in 80 hours then shelved it until they add more to it. Same as other 4x games, the most fun part is the first third, then it turns into a slog.
It seems like every new strategy game needs some moronic, autistic mechanic thrown in there to make it "special", regardless of whether or not the mechanic is a good idea.

if civ 4 is 5% pozzed and humankind 100% this weighs in at 35% or so, the most ridiculous part is that you're likely to have half your generals be women
I really enjoy this game, love the take on resources and production, makes the board a lot more interesting.
LOVE that scouts work as harvesters now, once Im done exploring immediate surroundings I can focus on pumping up numbers instead of exploring some who-gives-a-frick part of the map.
Also My advice for your first game, Don't try to appease everybody and play peaceful, care about your characters story, piss people off, tell the tribes to screw. And nebechanezzar can lick your gooch as tribute.
I applaud the attempt at a 4X that doesn't feel as boardgamey but it still felt a bit thin. Also my PC shit and the performance sucks for me.
