Steam Deck literally can't nerf the texture quality, sound quality and completely remove 80% of background objects to even match how bad the game looks on Switch even when setting the lowest possible options, so it's not a fair comparison for the battery life.
If you want a fair comparison, look at any indie game that's available for both. Deck has a 1-3 hour longer battery life than Switch OLED on those.

That's not what happened with mobile. In reality Iwata was considering the idea of going to mobile as an advertising vector long before the shareholders and board mentioned it and had already arranged talks as early as 2010. This came out the same time he announced the mobile deal with DeNA. It's also worth noting that nintendo's mobile support has died along with him the only one that's really being supported is FE and that's because it actually brings in a small amount of money while the rest are slowly being culled.
Also they have a convenient excuse not to, piracy. Nintendo's games are by far some of the most pirated games, they can use that excuse to say it would hurt their profits if they brought their games to PC as it would only make piracy even easier, in addition they would have to lower prices so as to compete with others rather than keeping their games at a high price for the majority of it's life. I mean, look at BoTW for instance, 20m+ units sold almost all of them were at full price and sales for it are usually a 30% reduction.
Basically the chances of them going to PC, especially with Sony and Microsoft going all in on PC giving them free reign of the console market, are slim.
Don't get me wrong though, this isn't coming from a place of brand loyalty because I'd prefer to see Nintendo's games on PC but it's just not going to happen.

I tried to do streaming from PC but it's very sensitive to internet access on phone. You wouldn't get stable cellular connection indoors, and public WiFi can't provide even 5 mbps without drops or some other shit. You can also experience lags when people just walk by, lol. Then I tried emulators. Good PS2 emulator came out just recently and it shit itself even on my SD865 no matter what settings are used. Used to play underground 2 on dolphin mmjr, the only way to play at 60 fps. Mobile games are complete trash.

It's easily possible. I got some time with one of the first batch decks, my best friend from HS ordered one as soon as they were available. The thing has the cooling of a 2013 laptop. It will absolutely roast you if you fall asleep holding it and it's running a game. Also the battery dies very quickly and it sounds like you're on the fricking tarmac and you're pretty much required to have headphones. Everyone around you in public can still hear it though and will look at you like a moronic autist. Oh yeah also modern games run like absolute dogshit unless they're specifically optimized for it like Elden Ring was, and even then Elden Ring doesn't look so hot.

Also Valve banned me because they detected I was running pirated games and roms on it so I had to make a second account.

no it literally doesn't. It's very easy to tell how hot the thing gets, you just bring up the mangohud overlay and it tells you. Laptops will easily get up to 100C on the "Performance" profiles while at any point from what I've seen playing SD never reaches above 60C. There's one specific point on the back which gets hot but never enough to burn you. None of the rest of shit you said is remotely true and just sounds like grade A tendie cope to me.

That's just lies bro. My Deck even gets close to 90C while running MH Rise in a hot room without AC, and 75-85 degrees in a room with AC, unless I reduce the TDP, cap the framerate or use any other method to lower the load.
There are plenty of posts and videos about people getting similar temperatures.
And it's not a problem since AMD chips don't even throttle before 95C, and won't shut down until over a 100C.
I can pick literally any Deck Youtube where the person has full overlay enabled, skip ahead to where he's running the game for at least 10-15 mins and see the same, so don't even bother claiming my device is broken and others aren't.

I got my reservation in April. Steam says I can get my by October or later. I'm wondering if I should let it slide on one metric alone: input lag.
There's this twin stick shooter Xeno Crisis which is very responsive on my 144hz screen. But if I move that that to my 60hz screen, even with vsync off, it feels like Im controlling a boat. My 60hz screen is (was) a top of the line BenQ, and it had very little delay. I fear the input lag monster 60hz can be for games. Trying to find someone who can experience 60 hz and 144 hz and compare a game on the two is quite a challenge. I know Hollow Knight is an input lag monster with vsync on, and its unbearably ugly with it off.

Someone who has a Steam deck and a PC with a 144hz monitor please tell me how Xeno Crisis handles. I've played Xeno Crisis on two machines: a 60hz screen laptop and a PC with a 60hz & 144hz monitor. The game's input lag is very noticeable and similar on both 60hz displays, and yet it runs completely responsive on the 144hz g-sync display. Thank you.

That input lag is the delay between pressing the button and game registering you pressed it, not how frequently the screen refreshes your image.

I uncapped the frames, disabled vsync in the controll panel. Both monitors getting MAXED, far beyond what they are capable of displaying.

China handhelds are fully open and you can do what you want with them unlike the Steaming Dreck, but I wouldn't recommend using Steam on one since Valve is known for banning people accessing it from handheld devices that aren't their own.
But considering they come with a real OS for adults instead of some Steam Big Picture abomination, I don't know why you would need to install anything else on them.

Nintendo survives on their games. The Deck isn't a threat there. You can say "emulation" but the vast majority of people don't want to pirate Switch games.
I'd like a Steam Deck myself, even though I don't use Steam, because it seems like a really good emulation device, and I'd love to play games on Dolphin on the go. I think if it wanted to really be a threat to the Switch, it would have had to come out years ago, before several million Switches we're already in people's hands.

It literally doesn't matter which SSD you get, the SD can't utilize the four PCIe lanes of bandwidth anyway. At most it can use 1.5GB/s which is still under 2G/s of the new SSD.
It's still not a bad a idea to put in your own SSD, unless you truly have 2 left hands.

I'm still getting the 512 version just for the screen lol. Either way doesn't matter I'm selling my switch and switch games to pay for most of it after I dump the roms.
I feel that the screen that comes with the 512 GB model isn't a clear-cut upgrade over the other screen as you trade-in less glare for less brightness.

They put an EMI shield around their own SSD though. I think if you put that EMI shield around your own SSD, it will be brought to about the same level.

Nintendo just need to give up on consoles tbh and go to making cross-platform games. I'd buy Mario and Zelda on the PC, but I won't buy a switch or any other console. Consoles are for children.
