The game is finished, there’s nothing they can do at this point to fix it. And it’s as simple as they removed all the content while crazily inflating the unit pool to the point now where you can do 20 multis on a banner and not one of those units have a real purpose anymore.
Because of this there’s no real value to any gems or resources or rewards because units themselves have no value.
I should probably get on the Kizuna train. I grabbed a team off Nakama real quick to deal with Assists that started popping up, but with no Doffydile friends it'll take like 60 levels to get enough tickets, and I don't feel like stallswapping Luffy/Yamato that many times.
I agree with you on principle, but there's no need to overexaggerate when the actual shelf-life of about six weeks is just as depressing when you consider how long legends used to viable for before the Age of Yoshi.

PvP legends (and PKA legends I guess) are actually the most useful ones
take this Doffy/Croc legend, they're not THAT great in Kizuna, and I guarantee you won't see them ever anywhere else

I gambled for an extra 8 tickets or so, and instead I got jack shit. I won't even be mad if the last Luffy/Ace skull is 15 tickets (which is how much I'd get if I just ran my usual crew) away.

I was missing one buff, but the actual problem was the chain attack down. After dissecting the thing, from what I understand the chain attack down on STR triggered ABOVE a certain multiplier, and the chain lock from Shanks Crew's special should be just below that threshold, except for the boost granted by Doffydile's special. Oops, I guess I shouldn't have slavishly followed the video, but it's not like I had time to do research, it was literally the last three minutes.
Well, I ended up with 848 tickets after the rewards came in, so I skipped Boxes1 through 3 completely, and I still was 102 tickets short of being safe. Fortunately, both on Box 4 and 5 I got the Skull in the first 20 pulls.
Unfortunately I only got two gems out of the Boxes. But at least I 6+'d Lace, and that should help me with PKA. Right?

I've noticed someone using the new Enma Zoro. After checking: as Boss he boosts QCK, Slashers and FSs, so you could probably build three decently cracked teams and they would all benefit. And his boss special is pretty damaging, too. But it's a pain to charge it.

You think last month's team against PKA Oden would still work? He's around lvl. 100 where I left him off, but this time the boosted units are different, and I had to charge up my East Blue Dream Team from zero again. I didn't even touch either Oden or Roger so far (I couldn't even reliably clear where he is now back then, so I'll keep avoiding him for the time being), but with the friend level or whatever it's called nearing 10 across the board, it's time to finally look into it.

Stage 1 and 2 is stalling while switching Koala/Robin and jimbe/robin, just kill 1 enemy a turn and get rainbow orbs on bottom row and friend captain. enter stage 3 on friend Robin and jimbe. >I don't think the super swaps are required anywhere but if you want you can try to enter stage three or four with Koala/Robin for more damage.
Stage 3 use Cora, switch characters and kill. >I have no idea if the strawhat support is even available anymore and don't think there's a replacement that I could find, cora is only 3 bind (4 with max level break) so a bind remove support is mandatory.
Stage 4 use mensherry/shirahoshi and remove pain, swap characters, use Koala/Robin and Queen special and kill. >Depending on the enemy cooldowns on the first two stages sometimes you don't even get hit with pain but use it anyway, despair is removed by kuma support
Stage 5 swap jimbe/robin, use specials and super type and kill >Doffy is optional, its just more damage
You can get to about 130 before you need to start using ussop (don't cut 60%) or sanji bonuses, try to line them up with Zoro to climb up to 9 levels at once.
You can also bump up the levels more then I have, I'm just stingy with exp.
Also all the buddy exp is maxed out but I was maxed out by 120 so it'll happen unless you are picking turtles and cola over trophys

It’s all rng at the end of the day, and that’s why I hate this mode with a passion. For Kaido I reset the box 7 after getting the first of the 2 skulls needed. Then, with 1600 tickets used in this pool, I got zero skulls. On this one, I even skipped the first 3 boxes and I had to go all in on box 5 to get the skull. Kizuna without super boss and boosted units is suffering

Honestly passing one isn't that bad if you can hit perfects blind, you could probably run bobbin or some other none boosted unit with a relatively low cooldown and remove all the defensive buffs in one character and you wouldn't have to worry about the penalty for being below max hp since you can just tap the super block orbs away

The bad news is, you can't. Not right now. They were one of the rewards during the recent (three weeks ago?) Kizuna, and even if you had the tickets to get them, the reward dispencery's already closed.
The good news is, they will become available to buy in a few months.
The other bad news is, you'll need Kizuna's own separate currency to buy them. 150 insignias for the three unit-specific skulls and 180 for the two regular ones.
And I'm not sure if you'll be able to scrounge up that much in two months.

I mean, not necessarily, you could still clear regular stages where Flampe doesn't show up, and then on the bonus maps you can pick the option to avoid her in exchange for the 1.5x bonus.
That's what I've been doing for every TM outside of the Anni one. I'm not getting anywhere near 10M points to get all the rewards, but it's enough to max out the new TM unit and stock up on LB mats.
Wait, would this be your first TM? Because if so, then you'd only have access to East Blue League, which doesn't even have a one-fight limit on units.
Either that, or you've advanced to Grand Line League which does limit your options, but, just like EB, is WAY easier than New World League, which the trial stage on Extra Island is based on.

Its more of a puzzle game where you need a team for each stage that can handle the buffs, debuffs and gimmicks specific to it

Oh, and I decided to get Hoe after looking at a lot of stuff. I wanted to save for another multi but when I learned about some of the ships you can unlock, I debated between Hoe for the exp and CE, or Zunesha for the stats seeing as my core team at the moment is cerebral
Also I just learned about crew log so I didn't have to manually make each TM team the same or scroll between teams for each fight

I would have recommended whale sharks over Hoe, its mostly just an upgraded version but with a smaller pirate exp boost

Don’t get Zunesha, it is outdated and not really needed. If you want to go for paid boats, best options are the whales from the summer spread and Oro Jackson. Shark superb is also ok, same as Megalo but they are only good options and not a priority.

I won't reach the 10-gem drops, and the legend tickets I'd get if I went to, let's say, 5M, would not only be dupes, but most likely dupes of units that are neither new and still useful nor old enough to have GV stages built around them. Welp, I fricked up on my first miniboss, got distracted by shiny, forgot to use all my specials and got myself killed. But I got my stamina down to a level where an expedition will finish before TM ends, so I achieved my goal, I guess.

This is only the fourth thread created this year, not counting those immediately shitcanned by jannies. Last year, at this point we were well into the 8th one. After clearing Raid Bonney 40 stam I can tell the 60 stam is just going to be absolute cancer with all the annoying damage if you heal and damage if you use specials debuffs

I have like 5 or so units that require specific character skulls to super evolve and I can't find them anywhere. What the frick are you supposed to do about them? Did I miss my chance and they'll just permanently never super evolve or will they be able to be acquired at some point? Take the new Nami/Robin one for example. Where would I even get the skulls for them now?
The only units I really even care about super evolving are Christmas Chopper and Super Class Kid.
Most will be in the Kizuna shop and require tokens to buy. A couple are in the TM shop and some require you to complete quests that drop them (like Bullet). Some like Roger were spread across events and I don’t know if you can buy them at the moment.
The two you mentioned should be in the Kizuna shop I think.

It's probably because they actually weren't, they get added to the shop with time. It can take up to 3 months (maybe more) whenever a new super evo comes out
I've been in 2 Alliances now where their recruitment message was specifically about doing Kizuna and then when an event came I was the only one doing shit. It's all so tiresome.

Most will be in the Kizuna shop and require tokens to buy. A couple are in the TM shop and some require you to complete quests that drop them (like Bullet). Some like Roger were spread across events and I don’t know if you can buy them at the moment.

I had a few gold tickets from the Kizuna rewards, so I decided to check the new auto-power up.
It automatically ignored the units that are already maxed out, which is nice.
Wouldn't let me check the stats of the original units, which is not so nice.
Then it encountered latency problems and restarted the app, which is even less so. I ended doing it the old-fashioned way.

Damn, last month I used to clear Oden on my way to the main PKA boss because you could get to the rumble fight through him, while Roger was too to the side, but now it's Rayleigh who's off to the side while Roger is front and center. The problem is, at this point I completely forgot how I dealt with the paralysis on the boss stage past level 60.
Sanji is only really good for his captain swap.
Zoro is bad (although fine in rumble) but lets not pretend Sanji is breaking new ground here.
Robin Diablo dabs on both of them.
Bon can change his type and classes to whatever you want. Luffy will probably do something like that too, or maybe something to outright ignore whatever the enemies type or their endless stream of buffs/passives (but only Luffy)
Technically, 1:(whatever the number of legends in the gacha pool is). Since the first one isn't dictated by anything, you only need to roll the same one once.

Here is my logic. Lets say the boss has 5 turns turns of resilience that you need to remove. Normally you would need a character to remove all 5 turns of this but with G5 Luffy now you can bring a character that only reduces 4 turns. Pretty nice for team building if you ask me. This is especially nice with boss buffs like damage limiter and damage immunity.

I just came back too and its probably as good as it gets for returning? Though I started over and bought a fresh beginner account. G5 paired with certain legends allows you to deal with like half of the negatives in the entire game which will allow for easy team building. All the while doing the best damage in the game. You would have to be moronic and coping hard to think hes "bad".
Legends fundamentally don't matter anymore. RRs either, same with TM units, colos, raid units, etc. Content isn't like it used to be. You either have the absolute newest batch or you don't. And any modern legend and RR is immediately obsolete once the content they were introduced along ends. And we get new legends at such a breakneck pace sometimes they don't even get content so they're just straight dead on arrival.

You get three gems a day just for doing the bare minimum. One on login, one for clearing the daily shit dropping stage, one for doing two (i think?) daily CMM.
Then there's the Pirate Alliance login bonus, which drop different shit every day, but ends up with five gems on the 15th day and then loops back around. So that's 100 gems a month for doing nothing but dailies. The rest depends on how much you are willing and able to farm. Will you stop doing TM once you've maxed out the unit, or will you go for those extra 20 gems you get for a high enough score? Same with the gems given away for turtle farming, the 30 gems everybody in your PA gets if you reach S Rank. Or do you do pvp well enough rhat you can level up your gem tree so it drops an extra gem almost every day?

I didn't farm all the turtles last month, far from it. Stopped with Rayleigh at like lvl 50 and never maxed Sanji either. This month I'm doing better but I really dislike this mode. It's supposed to be better than the previous turtle farm but somehow I think it's worse. Maybe I'm just getting more bored. Very cool that Maha got a unit though, not a fan but I like unique characters
Better chance to get Luffy on his part (part 2.) Part 1 has every legend in the game, some of them rate boosted, but the chance of pulling either Luffy or Momo is the same as pulling each one of them in their respective parts. If you're not sure if it's worth, you can choose based on the rest of the legends available and decide. Keep in mind that part 1 will stay up until October, so it won't go away anytime soon.

Is it even possible to beat the new rumble Challenge stage? The best I got was killing one enemy unit and having two of mine survive until time out.

Feeling very lucky today anons, wishing best of luck with everyone's pulls as well! A few notable things: on multi 2 I got my first new rr Denjiro, his gold poster had a glowing effect when it appeared along with the first 10+1 posters. I also got legend Momo in that multi but it didn't have something special. And on my 6th multi, after getting the gear 4 animation to start the multi, I also got a gear 5 animation. I'm not sure if it's because I got the actual gear 5 and it's an one-time only, or if it'll be here from now on when you pull the banner legend. Something else I noticed is that the gear animations are shorter, less delay. For now I'm out and will be pull again on the next part, I assume it'll be a 3-part celebration like film RED last year. I hope everyone gets lucky! Time to enjoy the episode.
There is a lot of psy, slasher, and free spirit overlap. Is it worth putting G5 and the new legend Kawamatsu together? Sadly Kawa doesn't buff G5 at all. I also have Roger, Yamato, and Aokiji.
I don't have pvp Enel but generally my PSY team is a mix of free spirit and PSY. I use Oden and Yamato, also Law because I only take them against INT and they usually are INT/driven teams. A maxed Kuzan is very nice as well. I guess this is for GP so you probably want to have Roger in there as he's the best GP leader (not sure what Gear 5 does yet in pvp but I assume Roger is still the best leader.) Do you have any pvp rare recruits like Rebecca and Toy Soldier? It might be worth trying to make a PSY/slasher team and put Gear 5 on a separate free spirit team?

I know it's not that exciting because of Momo and Luffy, but Sanji is amazing anon. He simply makes teambuilding that easier and adds so much damage. I hope you get more good stuff in your next pulls, but 4 for Sanji sounds like a steal, even if sometimes you only need to pull once
So I was watching Chauzu's video on Gear 5 and apparently the RUSH activates only on the 6th tap, not on the final tap. So Luffy gets cucked if you have a limit on how many taps you can do, or even if you have a binded unit.

This might be a stupid question, especially for someone who's been here for years, but how do you actually refresh your captain for other people's friend lists? Is it as simple as changing it and then changing it back? Or do you have to restart the app or something?
One of the most complained about problems in the game is how miserable it is to get kizuna skulls. Why does Bamco refuse to do something about this? New and returning players are perpetually fricked and some will straight up quit because its too frustrating and not worth dealing with.
In addition there are kizuna and other characters that basically start incomplete and need kizuna skulls to buff them. For example there is a dex Oden from PKA that I need to clear the Bonney clash but I need his kizuna skulls or it won't work. Utterly baffling.
So excluding the new Legends, what other units should go on the new and improved PSY FS pvp team? >Roger >v2 Oden >6+ Yamato
So if you have both Luffy Blanco and Momo, that'd be enough, maybe add a pvp rr in there as well. But what if you only get one, or even worse, none? TND Nami (what would she be, v3?)? Is Wano Law still viable?

Momo is unironically better than G5, but I would recommend not playing this game at all, especially if you haven't been actively playing. V2 G5 should be just around the corner, who should be meta defining as well. V1 G5 is basically a bait legend, people are theorycrafting hard since there's no content to actually use him in (this is another reason you shouldn't start playing again) but he's heavily flawed and the cracks will show over time.
Do as you like, g5 is good but not gamebreaking. Imo he is very good in pvp, specially gp as I think he is maybe the only one that equals Roger as a gp lead.
Annis can be good but it’s not really worth anymore to splash all your gems on a single sugo with the way the game works, based on boosters to ease the farm. My advice would be to prioritize to pull on super sugos like we have now with g5, do every discount and summon if you like the characters

In GP after winning 3, i get faced with teams between 190k to 220k with Rogers, Yamatos, Luffys, Oden. So what's the point? Cant do anything. Somehow managed to pull a win against a Gear 5 after hitting me burst at the start of 2nd battle, then got a 5th win cuz someone clearly auto edit their team which was a mess.
I feel like i hit a wall and cannot progress. Being like this for months

Farming Boa books in Sadie fortnight using a Story Wiper captain with a friend Legend Ace V1 only to hold onto those books for 3 months taking up half my box.
Then 70% of them failed and boa was a useless character anyways but it lowered the special enough to where I could clear Raid Shiki with a Marco friend.
The game was so much better back then man. Actually having to plan your team and rewarded for farming with long-term usable situations where even dogshit legends could clear the newest content if your box and personal skill were good enough.
I miss it. All the big team and strat makers all left too. Where did all the fun go?
There was also the mini-event with double supernova units (also Barto/Cabbage and Foxy/Wapol) and actual black LB mats. And another fortnight with a full Straw Hat set.

I normally play on emulator but want to switch to my phone sometimes. On the emulator is my normal fb account for sns. This fb account is also on my phone. When I try to load the account from my sns on my phone it shows me an old optc account that I don't use anymore. Anyone know how to fix this?

Returning player here, how important is it to have VS Yamato/Kaido? I was thinking of pulling on part 2 for them and a second G5 which would be nice depending on what the plus form does. Apparently VS Kaido is one of the best kizuna legends for psy bosses? I have King which I assume is a good sub for him but no Queen or Jack. Queen. The other legends I don't have from this part are super sugo Law, Queen, VS WB/BB, Bonney which I heard is good for G5, and Robin/Koala.

Personally, I would refrain from pulling anymore. The legend pool is so bloated you'd have to get REAL lucky to find what you need, and besides, it's not necessarily worth it for the units you're missing

Also, it finally happened - I don't know if it's because of people quitting, or if so many got filtered by G5, but I managed to get under 5000 in the pvp, and I even lost once. Usually even if I win all free fights I end up at like spot 6000-7000. Maybe enough gemmers pulled so much on Luffy Blanco that they haven't had enough to get to the top.

Got the new Queen, so maybe it's time to rework my pvp INT team. Still missing Vs. Kaido, but if I replace him with the f2p 5+ one, it might work decently enough.

What is this super pirate rumble event? How is it different than the regular thing?
It's once per month, we need 3 teams and fight best of 3's 3 times a day, the players that win or lose don't drop in rank or anything, you just get more rewards the more wins you get out of the 15 matches. It's pretty terrible because as it goes on the enemie's teams are hidden so it's even more rng than usual. As for other changes, you elect a leader for your 3 teams who buffs ideally 3 or at least 2 of your teams and has a GP special, something like an ulti. At the moment G5 Luffy and Roger are the best leaders in general, and every month there's different units that are buffed, for example this past month iirc free spirit got atk up, fighters or psy got hp up etc

I don't remember how often we get super pirate rumble but I haven't noticed gameplay differences, I think it affects the alliance ranking? Kinda like how in super kizuna you get additional rewards based on how your alliance ranks, only this time in rumble there's no super boss or anything like super pvp enemy.

You can only LB a unit with a dupe of that same exact unit (evolved or unevolved), or a dupe poster item of the same rarity and color which are only given away during event grind your ass off events.
That Buggy is a gacha only recruit, so you're only getting dupes of him by pulling. But worry not! He's one of the earliest legends in the whole game, so of course you'll be getting dupe after dupe of him instead of pulling anything good!

Yeah, so turns out the Jinbe on the King team is the legend one, which I also don't have, and finding the right mix of specials and supports to get rid of ALL of King's defense buffs proved extremely difficult, especially since when I first tried half the buff/debuff icons (including the ones on the support filter) on the planner didn't want to load. And now it's gotten even worse, because I'm guessing people flocked to the planner now that a Skull is on the line and the site can't handle the traffic.
And as for the Kaido stage, without the samurai guy I need to find both someone to deal with six turns of paralysis, AND someone with enough Hunger Resistance to shrug it off, since even with Hiyori and Flampe maxed out, it's still only 4 turns.
Or I could just build a team from the ground up, but, again, the planner's on the fritz.
You can also search in game but you’ll have to do it one by one. Jinbe is here to get rid of rainbow shield. Just focus your biggest multiplier team on the boss and inva. Sub bosses point gain is shit so if needed, just use non boosted units

Every single fricking time I fight against a Luffy/Yamato they get binded and survive on a bees dick and end up using their 7x AOE on first special use and I lose in what would otherwise be a clean sweep.
Except in the reverse scenario my FS team loses to a team of pigs, probably my lowest win rate team.

That little fist in the bottom left means that you can only deal damage from tapping which is why end of turn damage doesn’t do anything. The orange icon in the top right of the boss means they’re immune to debuffs like burn.

I find this take so fricking moronic. Like the other anon said, all modes are different kind of shit, pvp is a rng fest and the rest is grind grind grind. I prefer tm because at least you know what you will get with your farm. Not like kizuna where the rewards are behind a fricking gacha system
I strongly suspect that TM is so hated because it was the first limited-time-only grindfest. As you said, Kizuna has the moronic gacha Box system for rewards (and don't get me started on the Insignia and how it blocks anyone from completing the collection), and with three fights, all against the same boss, it actually has less variety than TM. The only things it has going for it is that you can "store" stamina for when you don't have the time to play and the fact that with only two boosted units you won't even get anyway, the players can build their team with whoever they want without any FOMO.
Of course, if you don't want to grind your brains out to get all the important rewards, you still need at least a FC boosted unit, same as in TM.
Something important to note is TM is much harder than the old days. The amount of bullshit each boss has means you need some seriously good teams to beat everything, especially if you plan to use boosted units.

GP (PVP mode) is bad because they hide teams from you the more wins you get so it becomes rock paper scissors, but the rewards are extremely top heavy so once you’ve lost a couple fights (you only get retries in the early levels) you may as well just stop playing the mode.
Most people don’t get more than 10 wins which is like 40? gems less than the max at 15 wins.

Did 3 multis for Reiju, ended up with a new rr Onigashima Jinbei, film RED Brulee and the new krr Ichiji, Niji & Yonji. Pretty good, at least the kizuna will be max comfy and they seem interesting. Also got a Kaido vs Big Mom dupe, so when they appear as the next 6+ I'll be ready, I only need 2 copies to max them and we'll get them. Time to grind some TM now

I was missing one buff, but the actual problem was the chain attack down. After dissecting the thing, from what I understand the chain attack down on STR triggered ABOVE a certain multiplier, and the chain lock from Shanks Crew's special should be just below that threshold, except for the boost granted by Doffydile's special. Oops, I guess I shouldn't have slavishly followed the video, but it's not like I had time to do research, it was literally the last three minutes.
Well, I ended up with 848 tickets after the rewards came in, so I skipped Boxes1 through 3 completely, and I still was 102 tickets short of being safe. Fortunately, both on Box 4 and 5 I got the Skull in the first 20 pulls.
Unfortunately I only got two gems out of the Boxes. But at least I 6+'d Lace, and that should help me with PKA. Right?

No but its pretty straight forward.
Stage 1 and 2 is stalling while switching Koala/Robin and jimbe/robin, just kill 1 enemy a turn and get rainbow orbs on bottom row and friend captain. enter stage 3 on friend Robin and jimbe.

Also all the buddy exp is maxed out but I was maxed out by 120 so it'll happen unless you are picking turtles and cola over trophys

It’s all rng at the end of the day, and that’s why I hate this mode with a passion. For Kaido I reset the box 7 after getting the first of the 2 skulls needed. Then, with 1600 tickets used in this pool, I got zero skulls. On this one, I even skipped the first 3 boxes and I had to go all in on box 5 to get the skull. Kizuna without super boss and boosted units is suffering

Honestly passing one isn't that bad if you can hit perfects blind, you could probably run bobbin or some other none boosted unit with a relatively low cooldown and remove all the defensive buffs in one character and you wouldn't have to worry about the penalty for being below max hp since you can just tap the super block orbs away

swap carrot and special, kill
pass first turn on stage 3 while tapping away super block orbs, swap shanks, use Luffy and then Wanda, all your damage is on carrot/Wanda since they can swooce right through the barrier
it should also work with Bobbin, praline and possibly Uta batch brook, cooldown reduction of 5+2+1+1 plus both c/w specials should have them at full when you need them
this is mostly for grabbing the treasure bird, since the actual point value is shit
and this is a more optimized team that works with nami/carrot that can both clear the boss turn 1 or 2
you can still use any of the replacements for smoothie above

The bad news is, you can't. Not right now. They were one of the rewards during the recent (three weeks ago?) Kizuna, and even if you had the tickets to get them, the reward dispencery's already closed.
The good news is, they will become available to buy in a few months.
The other bad news is, you'll need Kizuna's own separate currency to buy them. 150 insignias for the three unit-specific skulls and 180 for the two regular ones.
And I'm not sure if you'll be able to scrounge up that much in two months.

I mean, not necessarily, you could still clear regular stages where Flampe doesn't show up, and then on the bonus maps you can pick the option to avoid her in exchange for the 1.5x bonus.
That's what I've been doing for every TM outside of the Anni one. I'm not getting anywhere near 10M points to get all the rewards, but it's enough to max out the new TM unit and stock up on LB mats.

Wait, would this be your first TM? Because if so, then you'd only have access to East Blue League, which doesn't even have a one-fight limit on units.
Either that, or you've advanced to Grand Line League which does limit your options, but, just like EB, is WAY easier than New World League, which the trial stage on Extra Island is based on.
optc is not a game where you build one powerful team that beats everything
Its more of a puzzle game where you need a team for each stage that can handle the buffs, debuffs and gimmicks specific to it

Oh, and I decided to get Hoe after looking at a lot of stuff. I wanted to save for another multi but when I learned about some of the ships you can unlock, I debated between Hoe for the exp and CE, or Zunesha for the stats seeing as my core team at the moment is cerebral
Also I just learned about crew log so I didn't have to manually make each TM team the same or scroll between teams for each fight

zunesha is ok but usually generic ships are better in the long run
Don’t get Zunesha, it is outdated and not really needed. If you want to go for paid boats, best options are the whales from the summer spread and Oro Jackson. Shark superb is also ok, same as Megalo but they are only good options and not a priority.
And yes, and the bigger the pirate level différence the less time they are available. I won’t be of any help with my captains for this tm but I’ll add you too

I have like 5 or so units that require specific character skulls to super evolve and I can't find them anywhere. What the frick are you supposed to do about them? Did I miss my chance and they'll just permanently never super evolve or will they be able to be acquired at some point? Take the new Nami/Robin one for example. Where would I even get the skulls for them now?

It's probably because they actually weren't, they get added to the shop with time. It can take up to 3 months (maybe more) whenever a new super evo comes out

Most will be in the Kizuna shop and require tokens to buy. A couple are in the TM shop and some require you to complete quests that drop them (like Bullet). Some like Roger were spread across events and I don’t know if you can buy them at the moment.

I had a few gold tickets from the Kizuna rewards, so I decided to check the new auto-power up.
It automatically ignored the units that are already maxed out, which is nice.
Wouldn't let me check the stats of the original units, which is not so nice.
Then it encountered latency problems and restarted the app, which is even less so. I ended doing it the old-fashioned way.
Now I'm off to use the reward tickets on Box 7. 1000 tickets for 1083 treasures, hope the game won't be a c**t this time.

Kind of strange that it says "ignore enemy's defensive effects" which blue shield should count as one but doesn't. Either way team building will be so easy with G5 since you don't have to worry about bind, special reverse, rainbow shield, threshold, barriers, and also you never have to bring a damage reducer since you revive. Also reducing every beneficial effect on the enemy by 1 turn is good too. Lastly he boosts the best class in the game which is free spirit which also helps with team building.

Here is my logic. Lets say the boss has 5 turns turns of resilience that you need to remove. Normally you would need a character to remove all 5 turns of this but with G5 Luffy now you can bring a character that only reduces 4 turns. Pretty nice for team building if you ask me. This is especially nice with boss buffs like damage limiter and damage immunity.

I just came back too and its probably as good as it gets for returning? Though I started over and bought a fresh beginner account. G5 paired with certain legends allows you to deal with like half of the negatives in the entire game which will allow for easy team building. All the while doing the best damage in the game. You would have to be moronic and coping hard to think hes "bad".

Legends fundamentally don't matter anymore. RRs either, same with TM units, colos, raid units, etc. Content isn't like it used to be. You either have the absolute newest batch or you don't. And any modern legend and RR is immediately obsolete once the content they were introduced along ends. And we get new legends at such a breakneck pace sometimes they don't even get content so they're just straight dead on arrival.
V2 Strawhats came out forever ago and can still clear pretty much everything in the game.

Depends. 300 gems if you play 10 hours per week and grind every event to the highest ranks.

It pretty much stayed the same but just skewed more to grinding so they can push you harder to pull for boosters.
You get three gems a day just for doing the bare minimum. One on login, one for clearing the daily shit dropping stage, one for doing two (i think?) daily CMM.
Then there's the Pirate Alliance login bonus, which drop different shit every day, but ends up with five gems on the 15th day and then loops back around. So that's 100 gems a month for doing nothing but dailies. The rest depends on how much you are willing and able to farm. Will you stop doing TM once you've maxed out the unit, or will you go for those extra 20 gems you get for a high enough score? Same with the gems given away for turtle farming, the 30 gems everybody in your PA gets if you reach S Rank. Or do you do pvp well enough rhat you can level up your gem tree so it drops an extra gem almost every day?

I didn't farm all the turtles last month, far from it. Stopped with Rayleigh at like lvl 50 and never maxed Sanji either. This month I'm doing better but I really dislike this mode. It's supposed to be better than the previous turtle farm but somehow I think it's worse. Maybe I'm just getting more bored. Very cool that Maha got a unit though, not a fan but I like unique characters

Better chance to get Luffy on his part (part 2.) Part 1 has every legend in the game, some of them rate boosted, but the chance of pulling either Luffy or Momo is the same as pulling each one of them in their respective parts. If you're not sure if it's worth, you can choose based on the rest of the legends available and decide. Keep in mind that part 1 will stay up until October, so it won't go away anytime soon.

Feeling very lucky today anons, wishing best of luck with everyone's pulls as well! A few notable things: on multi 2 I got my first new rr Denjiro, his gold poster had a glowing effect when it appeared along with the first 10+1 posters. I also got legend Momo in that multi but it didn't have something special. And on my 6th multi, after getting the gear 4 animation to start the multi, I also got a gear 5 animation. I'm not sure if it's because I got the actual gear 5 and it's an one-time only, or if it'll be here from now on when you pull the banner legend. Something else I noticed is that the gear animations are shorter, less delay. For now I'm out and will be pull again on the next part, I assume it'll be a 3-part celebration like film RED last year. I hope everyone gets lucky! Time to enjoy the episode.

There is a lot of psy, slasher, and free spirit overlap. Is it worth putting G5 and the new legend Kawamatsu together? Sadly Kawa doesn't buff G5 at all. I also have Roger, Yamato, and Aokiji.
I don't have pvp Enel but generally my PSY team is a mix of free spirit and PSY. I use Oden and Yamato, also Law because I only take them against INT and they usually are INT/driven teams. A maxed Kuzan is very nice as well. I guess this is for GP so you probably want to have Roger in there as he's the best GP leader (not sure what Gear 5 does yet in pvp but I assume Roger is still the best leader.) Do you have any pvp rare recruits like Rebecca and Toy Soldier? It might be worth trying to make a PSY/slasher team and put Gear 5 on a separate free spirit team?
I know it's not that exciting because of Momo and Luffy, but Sanji is amazing anon. He simply makes teambuilding that easier and adds so much damage. I hope you get more good stuff in your next pulls, but 4 for Sanji sounds like a steal, even if sometimes you only need to pull once

So I was watching Chauzu's video on Gear 5 and apparently the RUSH activates only on the 6th tap, not on the final tap. So Luffy gets cucked if you have a limit on how many taps you can do, or even if you have a binded unit.

- pure str : Kuma/pr Sasaki/Jack/pr Sandersonia/kizuna Boa and super Lid/Kaku/Law on the bench
-striker : Sasaki/Kaido/Jack/Kid/pr Smoker and some of my str pr unit or kizuna X Drake/waifu trio
Someone using this kind of team could help me? Roger/Wb is already on my slasher team so can’t use it with the strikers.

The only time I ever lost was when I got absolutely fricked by RNG and got hit by a Blackbeard special into Roger burst into Luffy special into another Blackbeard special.

This might be a stupid question, especially for someone who's been here for years, but how do you actually refresh your captain for other people's friend lists? Is it as simple as changing it and then changing it back? Or do you have to restart the app or something?

One of the most complained about problems in the game is how miserable it is to get kizuna skulls. Why does Bamco refuse to do something about this? New and returning players are perpetually fricked and some will straight up quit because its too frustrating and not worth dealing with.
It's crazy how you just straight up can't evolve any of your older legends if you took a significant break. Legitimately can't do it.
In addition there are kizuna and other characters that basically start incomplete and need kizuna skulls to buff them. For example there is a dex Oden from PKA that I need to clear the Bonney clash but I need his kizuna skulls or it won't work. Utterly baffling.

Momo is unironically better than G5, but I would recommend not playing this game at all, especially if you haven't been actively playing. V2 G5 should be just around the corner, who should be meta defining as well. V1 G5 is basically a bait legend, people are theorycrafting hard since there's no content to actually use him in (this is another reason you shouldn't start playing again) but he's heavily flawed and the cracks will show over time.

Do as you like, g5 is good but not gamebreaking. Imo he is very good in pvp, specially gp as I think he is maybe the only one that equals Roger as a gp lead.
Annis can be good but it’s not really worth anymore to splash all your gems on a single sugo with the way the game works, based on boosters to ease the farm. My advice would be to prioritize to pull on super sugos like we have now with g5, do every discount and summon if you like the characters

In GP after winning 3, i get faced with teams between 190k to 220k with Rogers, Yamatos, Luffys, Oden. So what's the point? Cant do anything. Somehow managed to pull a win against a Gear 5 after hitting me burst at the start of 2nd battle, then got a 5th win cuz someone clearly auto edit their team which was a mess.
I feel like i hit a wall and cannot progress. Being like this for months

This game barely produces content anymore. Its just the monthly grind hell tm+kizuna+whatever, pvp which is just copying the best teams. Every now and then we get a fortnight or raid which are just there to advertise the latest batch that will never be used again. I miss the game where every legend had its uses.

Farming Boa books in Sadie fortnight using a Story Wiper captain with a friend Legend Ace V1 only to hold onto those books for 3 months taking up half my box.
Then 70% of them failed and boa was a useless character anyways but it lowered the special enough to where I could clear Raid Shiki with a Marco friend.
The game was so much better back then man. Actually having to plan your team and rewarded for farming with long-term usable situations where even dogshit legends could clear the newest content if your box and personal skill were good enough.
I miss it. All the big team and strat makers all left too. Where did all the fun go?
There was also the mini-event with double supernova units (also Barto/Cabbage and Foxy/Wapol) and actual black LB mats. And another fortnight with a full Straw Hat set.

I normally play on emulator but want to switch to my phone sometimes. On the emulator is my normal fb account for sns. This fb account is also on my phone. When I try to load the account from my sns on my phone it shows me an old optc account that I don't use anymore. Anyone know how to fix this?

Returning player here, how important is it to have VS Yamato/Kaido? I was thinking of pulling on part 2 for them and a second G5 which would be nice depending on what the plus form does. Apparently VS Kaido is one of the best kizuna legends for psy bosses? I have King which I assume is a good sub for him but no Queen or Jack. Queen. The other legends I don't have from this part are super sugo Law, Queen, VS WB/BB, Bonney which I heard is good for G5, and Robin/Koala.
For psy super bosses, yes he is good. But you need at least 2 of the Jack/Queen/Alber and the last int Big Mom if you want the team to be optimal

It's once per month, we need 3 teams and fight best of 3's 3 times a day, the players that win or lose don't drop in rank or anything, you just get more rewards the more wins you get out of the 15 matches. It's pretty terrible because as it goes on the enemie's teams are hidden so it's even more rng than usual. As for other changes, you elect a leader for your 3 teams who buffs ideally 3 or at least 2 of your teams and has a GP special, something like an ulti. At the moment G5 Luffy and Roger are the best leaders in general, and every month there's different units that are buffed, for example this past month iirc free spirit got atk up, fighters or psy got hp up etc

You can only LB a unit with a dupe of that same exact unit (evolved or unevolved), or a dupe poster item of the same rarity and color which are only given away during event grind your ass off events.
That Buggy is a gacha only recruit, so you're only getting dupes of him by pulling. But worry not! He's one of the earliest legends in the whole game, so of course you'll be getting dupe after dupe of him instead of pulling anything good!

Also forgot but the Kaido boss stage gives you a 5 turn hunger debuff, and his hunger lb is crazy. He gives 10 turn of hunger immunity at level5

Yeah, so turns out the Jinbe on the King team is the legend one, which I also don't have, and finding the right mix of specials and supports to get rid of ALL of King's defense buffs proved extremely difficult, especially since when I first tried half the buff/debuff icons (including the ones on the support filter) on the planner didn't want to load. And now it's gotten even worse, because I'm guessing people flocked to the planner now that a Skull is on the line and the site can't handle the traffic.
And as for the Kaido stage, without the samurai guy I need to find both someone to deal with six turns of paralysis, AND someone with enough Hunger Resistance to shrug it off, since even with Hiyori and Flampe maxed out, it's still only 4 turns.
Or I could just build a team from the ground up, but, again, the planner's on the fritz.

You can also search in game but you’ll have to do it one by one. Jinbe is here to get rid of rainbow shield. Just focus your biggest multiplier team on the boss and inva. Sub bosses point gain is shit so if needed, just use non boosted units

If you autosail for the whole TM even how many points do you end up with?
400 points per stamina unit x 20 stamina units an hour x 100 hours (for ease of counting) = 800k, give or take.

Every single fricking time I fight against a Luffy/Yamato they get binded and survive on a bees dick and end up using their 7x AOE on first special use and I lose in what would otherwise be a clean sweep.
Except in the reverse scenario my FS team loses to a team of pigs, probably my lowest win rate team.

That little fist in the bottom left means that you can only deal damage from tapping which is why end of turn damage doesn’t do anything. The orange icon in the top right of the boss means they’re immune to debuffs like burn.

From personal experience I can usually hit 10m in about 42~46 nav levels with friend captains with high boosters

I find this take so fricking moronic. Like the other anon said, all modes are different kind of shit, pvp is a rng fest and the rest is grind grind grind. I prefer tm because at least you know what you will get with your farm. Not like kizuna where the rewards are behind a fricking gacha system
I strongly suspect that TM is so hated because it was the first limited-time-only grindfest. As you said, Kizuna has the moronic gacha Box system for rewards (and don't get me started on the Insignia and how it blocks anyone from completing the collection), and with three fights, all against the same boss, it actually has less variety than TM. The only things it has going for it is that you can "store" stamina for when you don't have the time to play and the fact that with only two boosted units you won't even get anyway, the players can build their team with whoever they want without any FOMO.
Of course, if you don't want to grind your brains out to get all the important rewards, you still need at least a FC boosted unit, same as in TM.
The Kizuna grind is must shorter than the TM grind I think? If that is true I strongly prefer Kizuna over TM.

Something important to note is TM is much harder than the old days. The amount of bullshit each boss has means you need some seriously good teams to beat everything, especially if you plan to use boosted units.

GP (PVP mode) is bad because they hide teams from you the more wins you get so it becomes rock paper scissors, but the rewards are extremely top heavy so once you’ve lost a couple fights (you only get retries in the early levels) you may as well just stop playing the mode.
Most people don’t get more than 10 wins which is like 40? gems less than the max at 15 wins.

I did a test run and Kaido rewinds specials by 2 on stage three if you try to brute force through the attack down but at higher levels I'm not risking it
not that it matters because people don't seem to be leaving the fat samurai up as captain at all
at least Luffy and Momo are 1.5 so this ones not that bad anyway

You go on lower leagues. Since you guys keep complaining about the grind on tm, there is no need to chase all the rewards. Only going until 1M5 is needed to fully awake the tm unit.

Non issue because if you are in this situation, you aren't on new world so you can just auto with your highest boosted team. As
said, One Luffy is enough on the invasion, and Kaido needs one Momo. Though I agree that tm bosses now are way more focused around the latest batch and it can be a pain for teambuilding. Some supports can do the trick a lot of the time but this shit needs a lot of thinkering.

Welp, there's a bunch I need to change, in pretty much every team. And I think I need to change the Kaido team completely.
Actually didn't have to change anything about the Kaido team except for unit placement. But at least now I know that Stun or whatever we're calling the "whirlpool" thing blocks LB anilities like Hunger Reduction. b***h-ass Kaido can't even kill me with his 50k counter-attack, but now that I've figured out the order of things, I can clear it without G5.

You also need to max LLB Vivi to unlock her Defense Reduction, so I replaced her with the highest boosted PSY unit I had (didn't mtter, they both have the same multiplier), I've put Luffy as support on Zoro for his 5 turns of DefRed and used Doggy support on Denjiro

Did 3 multis for Reiju, ended up with a new rr Onigashima Jinbei, film RED Brulee and the new krr Ichiji, Niji & Yonji. Pretty good, at least the kizuna will be max comfy and they seem interesting. Also got a Kaido vs Big Mom dupe, so when they appear as the next 6+ I'll be ready, I only need 2 copies to max them and we'll get them. Time to grind some TM now
