Mentally ill meleegays forget this game even exists. They're off in their own little world where Melee is the only game they play and other games, even Smash games, don't exist.
Brawl has more content that this game despite having less characters, why the frick didn't they bring masterpieces back? they totally butchered all-star mode too
>Min-Min was just fine >smashies threw a b***h fit and got her nerfed >Steve and Kazuya are more broken than she ever was an will never be nerfed >Seph and Sora are also annoying to play against
As a mentally ill melee gay I did like it. The character unlocks when the ai was still randomly broken difficult was the best time to play the game. The input lag is truly awful though and I wouldn't play it competitively again.
I enjoy it but it honestly should've gotten another year of dev time. >ARMS/FE/Xeno 2 characters in base >More base game stages >More single player modes
That's all I really would've wanted.
>More characters in base
That's really what killed Ultimate. It was a 60 dollar unfinished game with the promise that more would come.
Base Ultimate was the biggest disappointment, and having nothing new surprisingly didnt keep my interest for the 3 years it needed to be a full game.
Best game in the series. No videogame will ever have a roster this good ever again. No fighting game has ever had this many viable characters. People don't see it yet but history will prove me right.
>everyone kind of sucks and feels nerfed as frick even compared to their smash 4 counterparts >game is still dominated by a handful of characters
"Balancing" a game by nerfing everyone into the ground isn't a good compromise.
Personally, I like when I push a button, the character immediately does what I ask them to.
I could take a shit inbetween the time it takes for Ultimate to read my inputs.

it's one of the most irritating games I've ever played, both FFA and sweaty 1v1. Winning doesn't feel good, losing feels worse, and every time you put the game down you feel agitated
Where does Smash go from here? Surely there aren't enough high-interest characters for a Smash Ultimate Deluxe + Fighters Pass #3. Not to mention the impossibility of balancing 100+ characters.
Surely the next Smash game has to have a bit of roster cut, even if it's just Young Link, Pichu, and Chrom.
Option 1 is to peel back the roster, and focus on gameplay, which Ultimate is sorely lacking in.
Option 2 is become Pokemon. Port the game, add more, port the game, add more, forever dwindling in quality.
Here's hoping they go with option 1.
>barely any new base game characters >barely any new base game stages >all star mode is just multi man smash now >online is worse despite you having to pay for it now >input delay is the worst it’s ever been >no custom moves >no smash run >no target test >home run contest and stage creator weren’t even present on launch >events and trophies were cut for spirits, a horrible neutered replacement for both modes >graphics are a complete mixed bag, with a ton of characters looking awful
But despite all this, people still question how the next game can top ultimate
I stand by the Ultimate is the only bad series in the franchise.
It sucks to move from point A to point B.
The input delay, the ridiculous buffer, balloon knockback, the sticky platforms, etc.
Everything else doesn't matter. If you've failed to make it fun to move around in your game, you've failed to make the game fun.
simple, just give the game a "Super Turbo Championship Edition" version for the next console >bring back Smash Run >bring back targets in some way >FP1 and FP2 content built in >physics changes to bring more air momentum/mobility and less universal buffer >give Spirits actual descriptions >Unranked Online mode >5-6 new characters in base >10 new stages in base >Fighter's Pass 3 and 4
boom, instant money maker that obsoletes vanilla Ultimate
Outside of smash run and targets, you have actually described the scenario I am most scared of. I want a new smash game dammit, feels like we haven’t gotten a new one since 2014
>Less input delay >Better buffer system >Better online >Not having to deal with sticky platforms >No gross balloon knockback >No ugly cotton candy smoke effects or terrible ultimate lighting.
I swear, the only people who say Smash 4 is worse are those who never played it.
is not a masterpiece or the best in the series
The online play is fricking bogus anon, borderline unplayable. The only reason people don't think so is because they've become accustom to it.
Mentally ill meleegays forget this game even exists. They're off in their own little world where Melee is the only game they play and other games, even Smash games, don't exist.
nope, theres a wave of Brawl Zoombers that despises Ultimate
Brawl has more content that this game despite having less characters, why the frick didn't they bring masterpieces back? they totally butchered all-star mode too
It was great until Sakurai took a giant shit all over it with DLC Pack 2
>Min-Min was just fine
>smashies threw a b***h fit and got her nerfed
>Steve and Kazuya are more broken than she ever was an will never be nerfed
>Seph and Sora are also annoying to play against
you guys had it coming
Min-Min was nerfed because she BTFO Sakurai
Min-Min was and still is overpowered. Steve, Aegis, and Kazuya too. The ONLY good addition from FP2 was Sephiroth.

Its trash and Sakurai is a fricking hack. Nincucks are some of the most pathetic morons on earth.
Sorry that I grew out of versus mode after Wii U and that's what Ultimate decided to put the bulk of its effort on.
Best for parties, worse for everything else. There is nothing to do besides the Smash mode. Basically if you don't have friends over, it collects dust

ENTER
Amingo is such an obscure pick I'd actually love to welcome it
>everyone kind of sucks and feels nerfed as frick even compared to their smash 4 counterparts

Smash 4 played better

What about buffing everyone into the sky?
Personally, I like when I push a button, the character immediately does what I ask them to.

Only shitters don't like it.

>Where does Smash go from here?
It would be nice if they just decided to make a good game.
So Super Smash Bros 64 2?
That would be preferable to what we have. I just wish the guys behind Project M didn't get assraped by Nintendo.
Project M was also bad.

nowhere, you'll have to play the actual video games these characters came from for once
>barely any new base game characters
>barely any new base game stages

Yeah, but ultimate is still damn good. Smash Wiiu and Bra remain the only bad entries in the franchise

That’s a funny joke, acting like ultimate is better than brawl and wii u

Only bandwagoners say such lies, because Ultimate was made with them in mind first.
The only 3rd party that is going to be safe in the next Smash game is Sonic. Every other 3rd party is going to be in the chopping block.
Pac-Man is also pretty safe if Namco continues helping Sakurai for the next Smash.
not only did I not like it, the online experience was so bad it got me into actual fighting games
I'm a Kirby-gay and I don't want Bandana Waddle Dee, Adeleine, or Ribbon.
You're not serious.
Its the best of the series or at worst the 3rd best in the eyes of everyone.
No one actively dislikes it in that they would put it in last place of the smash games, specially since 4 and the portable one exist.
>Less input delay

only homosexuals like it
sorry i dont find mashing nair into 40% combos fun
