But old films and legends aside? NOTHING. Well, except for the Lumiose redevelopment plan fitting the famous Haussman renovation of Paris around the same time as Legends Arceus takes place.
But old films, legends and historical matching aside, there's NOTHING AT ALL implying Z-A takes place in the past.

First of all, literally nothing in that picture shows buildings that look futuristic, all those type of building existed generations ago, you are just seeing them in a flashy representation and think of the future like a dumb monkey, like if you were seeing Black and Black 2 version of Opelucid City.
Second, if you had any intelligence you would have understood since the beginning that those visuals are the 3D representation of the drawings in the film reel
so you are literally picking up the worst representation to judge the buildings' looks. These ones I'm posting are the same buildings, only difference is that you can see the structure clearly, so tell me, do these look like modern, let aside futuristic buildings to you? You got your terminology wrong. "Cover legends" are regular legends, they are "legendary pokémon".
The rest are "sub-legendary"

Ohmori also stated that the UBs were meant to convey the idea of invasive species, so more broadly they’d connect to Zygarde’s role there.
I’ll also be shocked if Magearna isn’t in. It’s practically a Kalos mon despite being Gen 7.

The creation trio was in Sword and Shield though. The thing with Kalos legends is that they're strong enough to bring up concerns about being excluded for game balance or weird interactions with the open-world since Xerneas worked weirdly in Sword and Shield Pokémon Camp.

That's clearly an error that can be easily fixed. Kyurem's forms probably follow you fine in SV too.
