I have all classes at 90, I just don't like the constant buff upkeep, I dont wanna commit to learning a proper rotation that uses it more effectively so i always stick to the 1-2-3 into 4-5-6 but it irks me knowing it's less effective
Having a class at 90 doesn't nessisarily mean you play it in 90 content. Getting past getting used to the rotations and using perfect balance can feel strange at times but once you get used to it it's not that bad.

The point is that a lot of gameplay decisions are made in service of raiders. I’m honestly at the point where I hope hardcore content gets killed off entirely so that people can stop whining about being meta homosexuals. Gimme more open dungeons, unique jobs, rpg focus, actual dev time on quality quests, an over world that fricking matters. Technical high gameplay content is best server in single player games or pvp games, pve games should focus on overcoming a challenge as a group and sticking to your devices and hoping nobody else messes up isn’t that.

Some troglodyte cheating through the fight doesn't really take away from me doing it without it (and I have recordings of all my clears). The people who rely on this stuff quickly reveal themselves on patch day, which is always humorous.
I've played with some colourblind people and always felt the game could do better in regards to some mechanic visibility though. The fact that you can't recolour AoE markers as a baseline after all this time is genuine horse shit and I've always felt they should leverage more on audio tells for mechanics (Nael is a particularly contentious example for me, she should be voice acted).

They don't talk about random minor balance changes in live letters, dumbfrick.
In the ShB live letter they talk about reworking monk because of the "unintended" rotation that arose in SB and how they didn't notice it until after patch 4.5.

So yes, it is in fact more likely that the exact stated reason Yoshi had for changing it, which lined up exactly with the timeframe in which a bug report was filed about it, and a minor patch made corrections to a tooltip that was out of date for over a year at that point, was the actual reason, and not the nonexistent JP posts about the TK rotation, which Yoshi clearly wouldn't have read anyway since he wasn't aware of the TK rotation until well after 4.5 when they fixed the tooltip.

The homogenization is most noticeable in raids because the vast majority of the raid content doesn't even have AoE, so some of the minute differences you might notice in dungeons (for example, Warrior's moronic self-healing in big pulls) aren't going to play a role at all. Raids are also the content most affected by the olympic stadium-sized hitboxes that have caused melees to feel indistinguishable to physical ranged.

I've thought about this a lot - however, this wouldn't be ideal; because the angle I have of having people use my plugin would dwindle, and content would have arguable difficulty once more.
It's better to create worthwhile, and have it be widespread, and let them fight amongst themselves that there's doubt that they used it or not. Sausage legends are already great.

I've played with some colourblind people and always felt the game could do better in regards to some mechanic visibility though. The fact that you can't recolour AoE markers as a baseline after all this time is genuine horse shit and I've always felt they should leverage more on audio tells for mechanics (Nael is a particularly contentious example for me, she should be voice acted).

Set your OBS source to be from the game's process only - splatoon is using the dalamud injector, which gets filtered. You know splatoon won't show on OBS when you open the dalamud plugin manager and it doesn't show either.
Plugins that modify assets ingame are still shown, but because splatoon is imgui based, it is filtered.

HW smn was a proper summoner, your pet actually existed and did meaningful things. On EW smn it just deals damage and they couldn't even be bothered to make the 3 summons different, it's just a generic 700 potency reskin.

I'm a monk and I've learned to accept that the TK rotation will always be the pinnacle of the job since they'll never let anyone who actually plays monk into the designer's room ever again like they did in 4.2.
But current monk is also pretty good, better than any other iteration at least. Especially when you get to do double lunar.

The timings were so lenient that I was able to get 99s without even knowing the optimal loop in sigmascape while on an 85 ping mudfish connection. It wasn't as bad as people made it out to be.

If you pumped SS then the TK rotation wasn't even optimal anyway, you would only do it during RoF and never outside that since it was a very tiny DPS loss outside RoF if it didn't crit.

That's because there are very, very few people left playing the game who have been around since 2015 nowadays. The rest got pushed away by the increasing dumbing down of thegame and decreasing amount of content. Most of the people who played during ARR/HW are gone forever and the majority of the ones still around are the type of player who has never been inside any content that isn't required for the story except when they paid for a clear for it.
I was going to say I've been around and semi-consistently raiding since late ARR, but the last few patches have been so bad I decided to leave my personal house to rot, unsubscribed and uninstalled the game. So I guess you're right.
Most of my friends from the ARR era have been long gone, with the only two that remain being the kind that subscribe for the X.0 patch and then disappear for two years. Thankfully I keep in contact with them outside the game.
Me? Every month I'm unsubscribed makes it more and more likely I'll never return to FFXIV. I only occasionally participate in these threads out of habit but that's probably going to stop soon too.

Having a class at 90 doesn't nessisarily mean you play it in 90 content. Getting past getting used to the rotations and using perfect balance can feel strange at times but once you get used to it it's not that bad.

I've played with some colourblind people and always felt the game could do better in regards to some mechanic visibility though. The fact that you can't recolour AoE markers as a baseline after all this time is genuine horse shit and I've always felt they should leverage more on audio tells for mechanics (Nael is a particularly contentious example for me, she should be voice acted).

In the ShB live letter they talk about reworking monk because of the "unintended" rotation that arose in SB and how they didn't notice it until after patch 4.5.

So yes, it is in fact more likely that the exact stated reason Yoshi had for changing it, which lined up exactly with the timeframe in which a bug report was filed about it, and a minor patch made corrections to a tooltip that was out of date for over a year at that point, was the actual reason, and not the nonexistent JP posts about the TK rotation, which Yoshi clearly wouldn't have read anyway since he wasn't aware of the TK rotation until well after 4.5 when they fixed the tooltip.

The homogenization is most noticeable in raids because the vast majority of the raid content doesn't even have AoE, so some of the minute differences you might notice in dungeons (for example, Warrior's moronic self-healing in big pulls) aren't going to play a role at all. Raids are also the content most affected by the olympic stadium-sized hitboxes that have caused melees to feel indistinguishable to physical ranged.
Which, again, is content you don't do so you don't get a say in it. Shut the frick up already you fricking moron.

Set your OBS source to be from the game's process only - splatoon is using the dalamud injector, which gets filtered. You know splatoon won't show on OBS when you open the dalamud plugin manager and it doesn't show either.
Plugins that modify assets ingame are still shown, but because splatoon is imgui based, it is filtered.

FF summons have always been flashy damage spells, with the sole exception of X which was story-wise about summons. You are in the wrong for expecting a pet.

Here they're just generic 700 potency nukes that are mechanically no different from a blm casting foul.

The timings were really tight though. I think it's more likely it wasn't intended and the intended rotation was the same old, boring PB stuff.
The timings were so lenient that I was able to get 99s without even knowing the optimal loop in sigmascape while on an 85 ping mudfish connection. It wasn't as bad as people made it out to be.

If you pumped SS then the TK rotation wasn't even optimal anyway, you would only do it during RoF and never outside that since it was a very tiny DPS loss outside RoF if it didn't crit.

The balance has been infested by shadowbabies, it's now full of zoomer scums, all the people I knew in 2015 left it.
That's because there are very, very few people left playing the game who have been around since 2015 nowadays. The rest got pushed away by the increasing dumbing down of thegame and decreasing amount of content. Most of the people who played during ARR/HW are gone forever and the majority of the ones still around are the type of player who has never been inside any content that isn't required for the story except when they paid for a clear for it.
I was going to say I've been around and semi-consistently raiding since late ARR, but the last few patches have been so bad I decided to leave my personal house to rot, unsubscribed and uninstalled the game. So I guess you're right.
Most of my friends from the ARR era have been long gone, with the only two that remain being the kind that subscribe for the X.0 patch and then disappear for two years. Thankfully I keep in contact with them outside the game.
Me? Every month I'm unsubscribed makes it more and more likely I'll never return to FFXIV. I only occasionally participate in these threads out of habit but that's probably going to stop soon too.
