absolutely insane that the game has chunks of an hour or two where it's good and then it becomes absolute shit until you eventually get to a good chunk again.
why not just make the game half as long and twice as good?!
100% this. All they had to do was just show some fricking restraint and not stuff hours and hours of fetch quests in between every plot development. The game would go from a 60 hour slog that completely fizzles out to a 25 hour spectacle thrill ride. Wouldn't stop the story from being batshit moronic, but at least it would actually feel like the rollercoaster they wanted to make.
its japan anyone that was gonna buy the physical copies already did while the rest (aka most people that arent moronic collectors) are just gonna buy the digital
>what were they even thinking making this a PS5 exclusive.
They were thinking >Wow that's a big fricking wad of cash, Sony-sama, of course you can have 6 months of exclusivity~
>fastest selling PS5 exclusive ever >uhhh well it actually flopped despite selling more than any other game in the same position
lol
japan hates ps5 btw
According to Sony, apparently, there are 3. The two we know the sales of are Rift Apart and Demons' Souls. Which aren't exclusives, actually, so we've got nothing except Astrobot.
Btw,
The last two entries weren't PS5 exclusives. FF16 is the best selling PS5 exclusive, ever. No game in its category sold better than it.
, you're wrong because of Astrobot. Which is a pack in.
Double multiplat given it's a remaster/remake of a PS3 game. I'm still wondering what the 3 exclusives they say Sony acknowledges are. Maybe Astrobot, Destruction Allstars, and either FFXVI or Demons' Souls. Considering the staggered PC release format, it'll likely whittle down to none of them soon enough, making the 9th gen Xbox and PS consoles legitimately outdated with no redeeming reason to buy when the new options roll around.
>physical sales >second week >Japan
Textbook example of how the media manipulates you. They take factual, extremely specific parameters in order to trick you into believing what they want you to believe
We have the global sales of the first week inclusive of physical shipments with digital numbers and the total is outpaced massively by the last two entries. Also, the media isn't manipulating you by including every qualifier in the headline. That's the opposite of them tricking the reader, especially considering the numbers are known and can be corroborated against the claim.

So these articles are only getting published because Barry is sending hundreds of tips to every news site, right?
The funniest thing is that SE paid /vt/ to shill FF16 I said 'paid' because if you've been following these girl channels then you know none of them give a shit about FF or fancy action games and yet the game still flopped
I think this shilling campaign actually hurt the sales because that game is 70% cutscenes and the rest is just a barebone action game with nothing to explore. once you've watched their streams, you have no reason to buy the game
It's the first FF I haven't bought since FFVII when I first got into the series. I've got every game in the series, but this one ain't gonna set foot in my house.
not my problem
They're actually really fricking smart by releasing the demo. The game peaked there and baited millions into buying it.
Less than a million in Japan actually, less 400k as well

Barry won
it's another generic all white sóybóy party
of course no ones buying it
It’s M-rated gotslop bait and switch with try-hard action combat. They pigeonholed themselves to a very narrow audience
Final Fantasy was always white
>physical
lol
lmao
You think digital is that huge and isn't experiencing a similar huge drop of interest over time?
Digital is that huge, yes. But I also think most everyone who was going to buy XVI on PS5 has already done so.
The last digital ratio from CESA might have been 21.7% for the PS5 unless there's an update for 2022. Digital's not very big on average.
Digital us way bigger in Japan then other countries
Not a rpg.
its japan anyone that was gonna buy the physical copies already did while the rest (aka most people that arent moronic collectors) are just gonna buy the digital
If they wanted to buy digital they could have done so day 1 without even having to go to the store
>in Japan
so like 100 copies sold down to 9
so that means they're working on the PC port right now right? what were they even thinking making this a PS5 exclusive.
>what were they even thinking making this a PS5 exclusive.
They were thinking

It'll be a year

japan hates ps5 btw
so it sold faster than 0 games lmao

The Demon's Souls demake is exclusive.
And PClards are still waiting for the port, kek.

noone cares, there are 10 threads about bearfricking. all of them reach bump limit within a hour.

MMO Devs = MMO Quality = Do Not Play
Why did so many people buy diablo 4
what do they expect when all the PS5 owners already got their copy
This happens with literally every single game release and has been that way since the 2000s
Stop killing bear threads with your mental illness barry.
This is what happens when you keep it PS5 Exclusive. No one has that console. It should have been Ps4.Ps5.PC.
