Great except for Chronicles. Dimps has a better track record with Sonic than Sonic Team. The only bad ones they did are 4 Episode 1 and Lost World 3DS. The rest are decent to great.
>Rush
Great fun, not the best Sonic game ever, but pretty good. >Rush Adventure
Haven't played. >Colors DS
Rush 3, stuck with a garbage story and garbage voice acting. >Dark Brotherhood
Some good characterization if you care to look for it, sadly stuck in a game marred by legal issues and development issues. Could've been the definitive Sonic RPG, but sadly we got what we got.
Colors was really good. If anything, THAT version of the story should have been the one we got on Wii. Loved how everyone was at that big carnival and not just Sonic and Tails.
They're fun, I don't usually recommend sonic games to people but if you have a free weekend it's worth it to check them out, they're arguably better than Game Boy Advance sonics after the first one unless you really prefer the art style of the gba games then they are even
Same anon. Yeah, I loved the GBA style animation, so this was alway on my list to try someday, but again no money and nowadays I'm too depressed to game
Them and the GBA games were good enough that it's easy to just pretend they were the real mainline games and all the console games of the same time didn't exist.
Even Chronicles, while clearly the second worst GBA/DS game (counting the botched Sonic 1 port) wasn't as bad as it's made out to be, when you compare it to the actual console games at the time.
Rush, Rush adventure and Colors were great, can't decide which is better since they have the same gameplay, the stylish moves were great ngl.
And Colors has the best special stage in a Sonic game period, and overall better game than the console version.
Rush is fun. Colors is actually better than the console version, adventure is meh and chronicles is awful but makes me want another sonic rpg, he has the cast to pull it off
I could have sworn I once saw an early gameplay preview for it which had a different soundtrack in the overworld but it might just be mandela effect since I never found it since
Probably. The reason why the overworld music is crap is because they tried to do remixes of Genesis stage tracks without clearing it by Sega first, only to be told Sega wasn't going to be footing the bill for Masato Nakamura's royalties. It's why the remixes that remain are the ones from S&K and 3D Blast.
I know there's romhacks that fix music in DS games. You'd think with how big romhacks and fangames are in the Sonic commuity they'd have a fix up already.
I liked Rush back then but objectively it's not that good, in gameplay at least, even if the music and Blaze are good. The bosses are actually notably good I think but never see it mentioned. I never liked the two sequels. Chronicles I never played but I sort of want to try it because there's never going to be another Sonic RPG after that.
Rush 1 is probably right behind the Mega Drive games as my favourite.
Adventure was good too, but it suffered from some bloat and I prefer the presentation of the first one.
Colors is good, but I've played it the least.
Chronicles is mediocre and I've completed it 100%. Nice attention to lore, but that's it.
The rush games are sort of screwed over by the vertical screen design and touch screen use, not easy to port, but there's no excuse for the advance games not being ported
>The rush games are sort of screwed over by the vertical screen design and touch screen use
Just make it switch exclusive and force people to play with the switch sideways kek
Rush is total garbage. Bad level design, awful boost mechanic, horrible soundtrack (that some people swear by somehow, it's just noise). Adventure was better but I got bored of the resource mechanic and didn't finish it.
Rush Adventure had great boss fights
Sonic Chronicles is unmatched kino
How long until a big Youtuber makes a Dark Brotherhood video and I start seeing threads about it daily?
Misunderstood! Ambitious! The writing!
i remember that one theme from soniku kuronikuru that sounds like shit
They're all shit
Rush Adventure would be the best one if you could skip the material grinding and some of the more tedious boat sections
Rush, Rush Adventure, and Colors DS were enjoyable. Never played the Bioware game, so no opinion on it.
Rush, Rush Adventure, and Colors are fun times, Chronicles is garbage.
Great except for Chronicles. Dimps has a better track record with Sonic than Sonic Team. The only bad ones they did are 4 Episode 1 and Lost World 3DS. The rest are decent to great.
Blaze is cute. That's what I think.

I always wanted to play the Sonic Rush games as a tween/teen, but was never able to since was poor and didn't have a DS. Is it fun?
Music peaks in the first, Soul peaks in the second, Gameplay peaks in the third.

Post that one song from Dark Brotherhood

It's a shame that the Chronicles' overworld music is such rushed dogshit when it unironically had great battle tracks.
I could have sworn I once saw an early gameplay preview for it which had a different soundtrack in the overworld but it might just be mandela effect since I never found it since

Wasn't doomsday zone theme somewhere in the game?

the only fun games during the dark age of sonic (minus chronicles, what a POS)

Probably my favourite OST ever
Amazing game that PROVES that Blaze is MEANT for Sonic
>WE GOT FRICKING
>WE GOT FRICKING
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
BRIEFCASE, BRIEFCASE
HOT POCKET
I thought Blaze didn't wear pants originally.
piss off
I only ever played Rush and I loved it. I broke my DS and never bought another handheld so I don't know jack about the other games you mentioned.
Rush 1 is probably right behind the Mega Drive games as my favourite.

Sega should put the Rush games + DS Colors + Advance Trilogy in one collection like Capcom did with Megaman Zero/ZX, but it won't happen.
The rush games are sort of screwed over by the vertical screen design and touch screen use, not easy to port, but there's no excuse for the advance games not being ported
>The rush games are sort of screwed over by the vertical screen design and touch screen use

I enjoyed the RPG more than I should and more than the devs probably thought anyone could or would
Sonic Rush Adventure is fun. Seems like most Sonic fans haven't played it and that's disappointing since it's the best boost game.
A majority of the good Boost games are Dimps, since they invented it.
Rush is total garbage. Bad level design, awful boost mechanic, horrible soundtrack (that some people swear by somehow, it's just noise). Adventure was better but I got bored of the resource mechanic and didn't finish it.
Very good games overall
rush adventure > rush > colors DS > chronicles
they also gave us Blaze, and she is best girl
The Rush games were probably the best 2D Sonic ever was
Clockwise from top-left: shit, great, alright, great
