When can I start bossing and grinding the fun gear like Barrows or Godwars dungeon? I want to grind.
I've got pretty alright stats for it I think, but people tell me to do a lot of the diaries for barrows and teleports which is honestly pretty difficult since a lot of them require 70's and I only have 1 skill at 60 moment
I plan to do construction now though for a portal room and various other things
A tele to barrows is needed, since you do a kill leave, restock and come back

I'm actually currently working on the requirements for Underground Pass to use the Iban staff
my plan was to do Lost City > Fairytale 1 and then half of Fairytale 2 so I can unlock fairy rings, that way I can finally start grinding Slayer. Then I'd use Slayer tasks to level Attack to 50 so I could use an Iban staff. Does that make sense?

If you do barrows, grind soulwars for an ectoplasmator. Just grind the ghosts for shards and its chill and gives normal combat xp. Will take a few hours.
You get 120 prayer xp per barrows run with it, and as an Ironman you should probably be doing hundreds of runs
I'll probably just do more lava dragons for bones when it comes to prayer exp, I like running to chaos altar
Eventually I'll try for revenants and make a big stack of noted bones to take out there at some point
I do like the idea of doing that one diary that removes the prayer drain at barrows though, I'll definitely knock that one out

Id atleast try SW to see if you can enjoy that. Ectoplasmator also works on a few slayer tasks, its pretty underrated for passive xp

Its 50% runes not double runes. Other than the bloods, 50% more runes seems pretty irrelevant for an ironman.
Also prayer drain doesnt matter if you can get through dharok, ahrim, and atleast half of karil without potting up. You just tank the rest.
Only time you should need to pot is if the last brother is ahrim or dharok
Ironman accounts fricking love Barrows runes, Black person. The Minds are useless unless you want to splash with them, Chaos work you towards getting Onyx with Tokkul, Deaths and Bloods are both highly desired for bursting/barraging and weapons that consume them.

like myself, it doesn't take playing an ironman to understand that doing hard mory before barrows is incredibly fricking worth it for an iron. 50% is insane. A barrows grind can take anywhere between 100-2000 chests depending on luck. Let's say it takes 600 chests. That's gonna save the iron an additional 8m cash in runes, adjusted for trident costs.
Karil is both more accurate and tougher than Ahrim.

If he's a low level iron he'll be going into barrows with rune gear (and hopefully black d'hide). Even if stats and gear means Ahrims has a slight accuracy advantage he still attacks 2 ticks slower and will sometimes cast Confuse/Weaken/Curse instead of fire blast

OSRS peaked during COVID player wise. There isn't a world where that could be topped. Game will always be downhill from now. Now they're beginning to change to game too much and it won't be OSRS anymore.

Lava runes is 110k xp per hour if you have the newish items from the guardians of the rift mini game. But I'd suggest just doing GotR instead, it's more chill and good xp/great rewards

currently knocking out some slayer, its my most hated skill because its slow and boring as shit. afterwards gonna grind out more construction with mahogany homes. thieving and runecrafting grind will come much, much later.
Pest Control so you can that cool Void Knight gear, homie. And by the time you are done you can probably enter the Warriors Guild. If not, there is always the Combat Training Camp's ogres if you finish Biohazard.

It's a hybrid armor so you can tank multiple attack styles, great for beginner mid/high level bossing.
Do NMZ while you watch a movie or show you've been meaning to watch. It's probably one of the most "afk" methods in the game. Thanks to NMZ i watched the sopranos and got into gundam
Absorption potions prevent you from taking damage and if you have 1hp you can only take a max of 1 damage. So chew a rock cake/locator orb and wear dharok's/obby/your best and occasionally up your Absorption or chew to stay low hp.
you literally just pick a couple melee only bosses that do basic attacks.
Its shit points, but you just turn on protect from melee with prayer gear and you only need to pot up like once every few minutes.
Proselyte, imbued god ring, bonecrusher necklace, and ur good to go
do 1 nmz game of any variety to get like 100-200k points to start with, buy absorbs (not overloads), rock cake down to 1 hp, drink 1000 absorbs and just afk in your best melee gear, or dharoks if you want to give it a bit more attention (1 click every minute)
the reason you dont use overloads is because you then have to give it attention whenever it wears off, use divine supers or just supers

because overloads, when they expire, heal you for 50 hp, which you'll have to rockcake down very quickly else your absorb goes down very quickly
divines hit you for 10 hp instead, and by the time its time for another sip, you shouldn't be above 10 hp due to regen so if you keep it up, you'll be 1 hp forever (very efficient), if you slack off a bit due to afk, you'll only have to rock cake very rarely

i havent been in nmz since 2018 when i finished maxing melee. dont you need to be 51 hp to drink an overload? you cant camp 1 hp or use a rockcake early. i dont remember if divines can kill you if you drink them at 1hp

I thought I'd max combats before slayer and then as you can see I got stuck in a Hydra cycle of doing ranged. I'm pretty happing killing Duke at the minute but I need my fricking Fang on slash so I only get strength XP. Need a decent boss where I can get Attack and Defence XP.
Do ranged and slayer together. For a easy 99 ranged, cannon every task you can. You'll be getting so much ranged xp but it costs a little more gp in cannon balls. It's not hard to make thebmoney back from slayer though

If I were in your shoes I would burst Defence and Magic to 99, then finish off 99 Attack whenever. The bosses you could realistically melee for Attack xp are kinda shit.

Currently testing my alch bot. It is keeping an eye on the Grand Exchange with the OSRS API and will attempt to buy anything with a value under 1000gp for alching.
It is reading everything through OCR and image recognition. So far it works fine, but some frick ups. Earned around 36 mil in three weeks for alching around 60 minutes a day. I expected it to be banned by now, because of all the frick ups. But I keep alching away. Anyone got some tips to improve? It is written in Python and my first shitty bot.

I've got pretty alright stats for it I think, but people tell me to do a lot of the diaries for barrows and teleports which is honestly pretty difficult since a lot of them require 70's and I only have 1 skill at 60 moment

my plan was to do Lost City > Fairytale 1 and then half of Fairytale 2 so I can unlock fairy rings, that way I can finally start grinding Slayer. Then I'd use Slayer tasks to level Attack to 50 so I could use an Iban staff. Does that make sense?
70s in most skills won't take too long unless it's shit like Slayer. Morytania hard for double runes from Barrows is absolutely worth it, but good luck getting the second tier of combat achievements done to negate the passive prayer drain there. Best to just stock up on a means to teleports to Barrows and a bunch of rings of dueling so you can hop over to Ferox to restore your stats and restock your inventory.
If you do barrows, grind soulwars for an ectoplasmator. Just grind the ghosts for shards and its chill and gives normal combat xp. Will take a few hours.
You get 120 prayer xp per barrows run with it, and as an Ironman you should probably be doing hundreds of runs
I'll probably just do more lava dragons for bones when it comes to prayer exp, I like running to chaos altar
Eventually I'll try for revenants and make a big stack of noted bones to take out there at some point
I do like the idea of doing that one diary that removes the prayer drain at barrows though, I'll definitely knock that one out

A barrows grind can take anywhere between 100-2000 chests depending on luck. Let's say it takes 600 chests. That's gonna save the iron an additional 8m cash in runes, adjusted for trident costs.

That's because magic defense rolls primarily from your own magic level, so if you go alch some stuff and go back Ahrim won't hit shit
If he's a low level iron he'll be going into barrows with rune gear (and hopefully black d'hide). Even if stats and gear means Ahrims has a slight accuracy advantage he still attacks 2 ticks slower and will sometimes cast Confuse/Weaken/Curse instead of fire blast

Lava runes is 110k xp per hour if you have the newish items from the guardians of the rift mini game. But I'd suggest just doing GotR instead, it's more chill and good xp/great rewards

Absorption potions prevent you from taking damage and if you have 1hp you can only take a max of 1 damage. So chew a rock cake/locator orb and wear dharok's/obby/your best and occasionally up your Absorption or chew to stay low hp.
you literally just pick a couple melee only bosses that do basic attacks.
Its shit points, but you just turn on protect from melee with prayer gear and you only need to pot up like once every few minutes.
Proselyte, imbued god ring, bonecrusher necklace, and ur good to go
do 1 nmz game of any variety to get like 100-200k points to start with, buy absorbs (not overloads), rock cake down to 1 hp, drink 1000 absorbs and just afk in your best melee gear, or dharoks if you want to give it a bit more attention (1 click every minute)

divines hit you for 10 hp instead, and by the time its time for another sip, you shouldn't be above 10 hp due to regen so if you keep it up, you'll be 1 hp forever (very efficient), if you slack off a bit due to afk, you'll only have to rock cake very rarely

Do ranged and slayer together. For a easy 99 ranged, cannon every task you can. You'll be getting so much ranged xp but it costs a little more gp in cannon balls. It's not hard to make thebmoney back from slayer though

I can hardly imagine a more frustrating job than an Old School Runescape developer. You're busting your ass making a game for people who don't want to play your game. As long as you don't go anywhere near Falador (where the rioters are) or the pride march with desert gear or a noose wand, yeah, you can still play. But do any of the aforementioned things and you'll most likely be instantly banned before you can even say a word.

they should have kept trading posts instead of adding the GE. Trading posts were a good compromise forcing player interaction without making item acquiring piss easy. Plus it brought back the falador/varrock bank sales/spam. Zoomers who grew up with the GE should kill themselves.
Well said, I'd wager that 90% of the current OSRS playerbase didn't actually even play the game when the game snapshot was taken.
I was going for 99 Construction on my UIM, but burned out at 90. Quit about 4 months ago now.
I had just gone for 96 RC right before that, I was trying to get absolutely everything I could to make Slayer as good as possible when I started that.
I know when I come back, I'll have to finish that boring fricking Construction grind, so I'm not exactly in a rush to. But I know I eventually will.
Might come back to OSRS for the next Leagues instead, really enjoyed the last, got the Dragon Cup on my dumb old meme pure Ironman.
