Outer Bros I'm loving this mod The Outsider so much, go play it if you haven't yet... obviously it's just a mod so don't expect something too crazy and the writing is of questionable quality but it's neat new little mystery with some clever design stuff/new puzzles and it recaptures the feeling of curiosity and discovery, and you know there's no replaying it. And it feels like a nice addition to main game + DLC. Frick I missed it so much, what a game.
Are there other mods as good as this? I played The Vision but it was really weak, just fan service wank but no actual new discoveries or new puzzle concepts.

Yep, deffo gave me the same feeling as the base game. This is probably the best mod for the game. I'm not aware of anything better. As you say Vision was weak. I liked it but it there wasn't that much to it. 100% fan service wank as you say. Outsider at least has some actual substance to it.

Outer Wilds is one of the most depressing games I've ever played and not even because of how the story goes or anything. It's simply because after you play it, you start looking for similar games and realize that aside from some very loose recommendations (La Mulana for the sense of exploration, Obra Dinn for the mystery solving), there's nothing that comes even close to it.
Maybe actually try playing some good games for once instead of dogshit.
In fact, I've played all the good games available. Sadly, as I said, none comes even close to offer what OW does.

I streamed this game recently for a friend, who is a superfan. He refers to it as one of his favorite games. I had heard rumors about the game but no strict spoilers or anything, so I knew the general feeling that people had when they were finished with the game. I finished it and ... felt nothing. Maybe I'm too autistic for it or something. I've gotten emotional at movies and games before, but this one did not land for me. And I feel bad, too, because I was definitely receptive to the idea of being run through emotionally, but, yeah...
I think the worst part is, I have certain regrets about how I approached the game, mostly regarding the expectations I had going in. But, just like everyone else here, I can never play it for the first time again.

Playing Outer Wilds helped me make my peace with being a coward, because even if I was silently screaming through a lot of it, I still did it.

The mod manager is really helpful and there's a ton of mods. Makes it really easy to download them, enable/disable whichever you want to use at the moment, and keep them updated

It was cool, a tad too wordy in a reddit way and the addition to the ending is absolute ass and goes against everything in the game.
BUT it makes dark bramble an actual location worth exploring and the puzzles are solid.
