It's clear said local schizo is here, likely OP as you said, but it's hard to say the proper intention. It's not exactly the first time this has happened, especially during break weeks revolving around sales, and it's happened across many subjects for many brands before too from many an autist.

They only list it in the yearly reports and I can't be bothered to check right now, but yes, the numbers they list on the hardware/software page is always sell-through, not sell-in, so the retail shipments are higher than what they list.

I ask the fricking same it has nearly no good games, at least if you're not interested in the major brands. I feel like it's strongly a Mario/Metroid/Zelda/"Pokémon" machine, and it absolutely fails at the last point BTW the Switch games are the most horrible Pokémon entries we've had.
I don't care about Mario so that's one down, and Zelda looks like it tries to be the "grown up" Nintendo game but it doesn't really commit to having a solid plot or stakes (apparently they're fighting Ganon FOR THE 14TH TIME IN A ROW or something) and eh overall I don't dig the elven aesthetics. I feel like Ocarina and Majoras mask were way darker and I preferred that look, Zelda should look like Dark Souls by now if it continues developing from the n64 era.
Metroid is too niche, I'm not into metroidvanias nor fps even if the character looks cool (I've also tried getting into sidescrolling Megaman games and couldn't do it).
So well, with the Nintendo specials out of the way... the Switch is nearly dead. The remaining games can usually be played on another platform.
And I hate how it lacks the expected "mobile games" from Big Franchises.
Dragon Ball had gba and ds games, and they were arguably some of the best ones (db legacy of buu, attack of the saiyans, supersonic warriors 1 & 2, db adventure advanced, etc..) and the 3ds as well had a fighter by arcsys and DB Fusions, Digimon also had a big DS catalog and a couple fighters on the gba, SMT had Devil Summoners and addition to IV & IV A (granted, switch does have SMT V but it's still less than before), and if we get into GBA titles it's overkill because even forgotten series like Shaman King and Zatch Bell had something exclusive to gba, or stuff like Final Fantasy Tactics.
THE SWITCH ALSO HAS NO NEW ACE ATTORNEY GAMES, ONLY PORTS.
Or how about an exclusive Castlevania?
Or a FF Tactics 3 only for Switch?
Resident Evil got gaiden in the gbc, a RE1 remake in ds and Revelations for 3ds but nothing special in Switch.

More to the point it's a double-edged sword. People in general seem to have a really hard time believing it but exclusives are not the end all be all. Ports matter. Especially for a handheld where a great feature is taking shit on other platforms on the go.
With lazy devs this means they won't get those ports anymore because they refuse to make platform specific builds like they used to. It has to be easy to dev for and easy to copy paste to.
Meaning the system itself will not sell as well because there's less reason to buy it.
This probably the largest failure of the Switch for long term success - they now have to keep this up because basically only Game Freak wants to go back.

Because Switch is a home console (and a handheld). What you said only happened because there was no other way. Handhelds were completely incompatible with home consoles and required games made from scratch for them.
Switch was the first time in history a regular, fully fledged home console game could be played portably. It has enough power, supports the same engines and rendering techniques others systems do.

There's no way the Switch 2 is going to be close to being as successful. It'll be like a DS to 3DS situation. They also won't be able to get use out of ports like they did with the Switch, due to barely anyone buying the Wii U which meant there would be many people willing to buy ports, but this won't really be the case in the next console since they've already exhausted these. Will probably still be quite successful though.

The Switch emulator yuzu has been out for less than a year and it went from crawling like a baby to being able to run Mario Odyssey at 60 fps overnight this New Years' eve.

I feel like Ocarina and Majoras mask were way darker and I preferred that look, Zelda should look like Dark Souls by now if it continues developing from the n64 era.
Metroid is too niche, I'm not into metroidvanias nor fps even if the character looks cool (I've also tried getting into sidescrolling Megaman games and couldn't do it).
So well, with the Nintendo specials out of the way... the Switch is nearly dead. The remaining games can usually be played on another platform.

Dragon Ball had gba and ds games, and they were arguably some of the best ones (db legacy of buu, attack of the saiyans, supersonic warriors 1 & 2, db adventure advanced, etc..) and the 3ds as well had a fighter by arcsys and DB Fusions, Digimon also had a big DS catalog and a couple fighters on the gba, SMT had Devil Summoners and addition to IV & IV A (granted, switch does have SMT V but it's still less than before), and if we get into GBA titles it's overkill because even forgotten series like Shaman King and Zatch Bell had something exclusive to gba, or stuff like Final Fantasy Tactics.

More to the point it's a double-edged sword. People in general seem to have a really hard time believing it but exclusives are not the end all be all. Ports matter. Especially for a handheld where a great feature is taking shit on other platforms on the go.
With lazy devs this means they won't get those ports anymore because they refuse to make platform specific builds like they used to. It has to be easy to dev for and easy to copy paste to.
Meaning the system itself will not sell as well because there's less reason to buy it.
This probably the largest failure of the Switch for long term success - they now have to keep this up because basically only Game Freak wants to go back.
