50% of the autists who sperg about the cube and it's controller being the greatest are literally the same trannies and flurries you see at conventions. The other half are the smelly, the unwashed, the (You).
>b-but it werk 4 muh favrit gaem!
and not for any others. Third party devs hated the cube layout.
In what way do the peanut buttons make double presses difficult or impossible?
I think you're missing the point on this one. There's a lot of games that didn't release on the Cube since the controller layout just didn't work with the game's control scheme. And you have other games like Twin Snakes which had really compromised controls compared to PS2 or Xbox.
>There's a lot of games that didn't release on the Cube since the controller layout just didn't work with the game's control scheme.
While this may be true it's literally just a poor job on the part of the developers. I play all my modern controller games on my gamecube controller and just bind the missing buttons intelligently. A double tap here, long press there and it all works fine.
Ah, the cube controller. The worst controller of its generation.
Nintendo can really shit on a platter and tendies would still spout that it's the best food ever made
Zoomers detected
Gamecube controller has the best ergonomics, best triggers, best button placement, c-stick nub is great for any game that doesn't require you to babysit the stick, octagonal gate is far superior to a circular gate.
All an updated version would need is a second Z button and the ability to click the sticks
there's plenty of replicas of this garbage controller for the switch
this controller only works for nintendo shit made 20 years ago and not even the best nintendo shit
sunshine is dogshit metroid prime plays better on wii and so does pikmin and the donkey kong games
All the replicas are chink garbage and usually don't even have analogue triggers
>Gamecube controller has the best ergonomics
Unless you have to use the d-pad, c-stick or press x+y/x+b in any game (many games require this) >best triggers
Awkward sliding mechanism, Dreamcast and xbox are far better. >best button placement
Tony Hawk games require you to press B+X. At the same time. That's a fricking nightmare. >c-stick nub is great
For nothing. Half the controller is unusable. >octagonal gate is far superior to a circular gate >making analog less analog >doesn't know which direction forward is
yep, its a controller for babies. no wonder it looks like fisher price shit only zoomers have nostalgia for.
>Unless you have to use the d-pad, c-stick or press x+y/x+b in any game (many games require this)
skill issue >Awkward sliding mechanism, Dreamcast and xbox are far better.
precise linear actuator vs awkward rotary actuator that your finger can slip off of >ony Hawk games require you to press B+X. At the same time. That's a fricking nightmare
skill issue >c-stick nub is great
it is for any game that doesn't use the c-stick for camera control, which no game should anyway. Tank controls are better for first person games, action games only need a lockon/camera reset button freeing up the stick for more actions >octagonal gate is far superior to a circular gate >making analog less analog
moron doesn't understand how curves work

Greasy hands. >skill issue

Must be why the gamecube literally missed out on an entire genre that defined the generation. Loser console for losers. >moron doesn't understand how curves work
They're simply superior to less precise analog pointers.
>an entire genre that defined the generation
The generation was defined by shitty GTA games and their clones.

Poo controller has atrocious buttons, takes way too long for my thumb to go from button to button. I should be able to press them all by tilting my thumb from the default position, the moment I have to pull a lower thumb muscle to press the button that should be A and the one that should be X, It's a shit controller. Dpad is better though. I never minded the gc one
It's just absolutely awful. The central A button means that it's super awkward to press chords of buttons at the same time, the D-pad and C-stick are horrible and the whole things is stupidly limited and overly simplified so multi-plats are worse to play on it. It's yet another reason why the GC is basically "the thing you play Melee on".
>it's super awkward to press chords of buttons at the same time
Its always super awkward to press chords. Theres a reason that despite a million years of keyboard games with access to an entire hand of fingers only a small selection will ever have functions tied to chording multiple keys, beyond WD=diagonal. A good game simply makes it so that you dont have to do this.
Chording is getting more and more common in games but outside of fighting games it's always spread across multiple fingers. BotW, MGS and DS all sprint to mind.
What I stated were functional problems. >gated analogs
forces 8-way movement when you may not want it. >oblong buttons
double presses are either difficult or impossible. Third party game devs are forced into weird control restrictions. >microscopic dpad
makes it useless for anything that requires its use, God forbid anything that requires qc/hc movement.
You are literally too autistic to understand.
hes actually right on that one, although its not the shape but the position of the b button thats the issue
sliding from b to y or y to b is painful and doing it with x is impossible unless you claw, which is why all those smash players have hand/wrist issues
and honestly the gap between b and y is just BARELY too large, its like a couple mm larger than the gap between x and y, but it hugely impacts the ergonomics and function of the controller
so you could easily make a better gamecube controller by either rotating the x/y position toward b or moving b up/changing the shape of b to match the other exterior buttons
Ah, the cube controller. The worst controller of its generation.

have a nice day troony
50% of the autists who sperg about the cube and it's controller being the greatest are literally the same trannies and flurries you see at conventions. The other half are the smelly, the unwashed, the (You).
It's the greatest for games made for it. Attempting to play Super Monkey Ball or F-Zero GX on anything else will only result in a lesser experience.

The dpad still isn’t great on the pro controller and I prefer the analog stick to have notches.

You're homosexual, in your mid 20s and you think smash bros is good.
The Xbox controller is basically the same.
Id prefer a sega saturn controler with PS2 analog sticks
It really fricking isn't unless you're a smash autist or really love Mario Sunshine.
Every controller gets eternally mogged by keyboard and mouse

Sounds like a skill issue on the part of the devs not being able to port their game to a clearly superior controller
