It's a great step in the right direction for sure. One small step from Blizzard really won back the hearts of the Overwatch 2 community. And the reception from the Mirrorwatch event being great and fun to play cemented the soul is still here.

Balance is still an issue, especially on the Tank side. You get drawn with a bad Tank, you're losing every time. The lack of a second Off Tank also allows Widowmakers to be more dominant than ever too, where the best counter to her is often just your own better Widowmaker. Some other characters such as anti-flankers like Mei and Brig are struggling in the meta right now and are in desperate need of buffs, which means the flankers like Tracer and Sombra can be extra oppressive.
