New Vegas is a great game but this dlc was supposed to be a techno-horror, not a stupid comedy. The most comedy they could afford was to make the first part of dls one long exit from the first building with references to the Portal.
It could have been SOMA before SOMA lol.

Dead Monkey and Lonely Roomba piss babies can no handle the concept of delivering horrifying elements using the medium of humor. If I make a joke about Human Dog hybrids that live in constant pain for how long their miserable existence lasts, that must mean everything is fine, after all the joke was funny.
Pretty sure it was supposed to be a comedy. That first conversation of the dlc is completely insane, I'm sure they wanted to be able to shift the camera to different characters as they talked but failed to hack it into bethesda's clown engine before they had to publish it
I hate wacky writing. It's an insult to the audience because the writer isn't taking the setting seriously. I also hate the New Vegas DLCs because they're all combat garbage.
Fallout has always had an undercurrent of comedy so to me it wasnt out of place to have a comedy dlc. What matters is whether or not it made you laugh.
Not Fallout 1, 3 or New Vegas. 2 and 4 were wacky wastelands. I also wouldn't say it was an undercurrent. The wackiness was part of the main plot.
The undercurrent is in the ones that aren't being outright comedic. The only one I would say was trying too damn hard to be serious was 3.
Regardless, I stand by what I said, what's important at the end of the day is if it makes you laugh.
> whether or not it made you laugh.
I mean I wouldn't say laugh but it consistently got pic related out of me.
I'm autistic and I thought it was funny, but then I like dumb humor.
Its fine
You know, it kinda sucks that they put evidence the other dlc characters had been there as part of their dlc metaplot, because I would rather think of OWB as a non-canon adventure that didn't really happen in the proper story. Fallout 1 special random encounters weren't supposed to be taken seriously, even though you could get joke equipment in them
Yeah but I forgive the dumb moments because they got James Urbaniak to play Dr. 0 and hes basically just Rusty.
Autistic people hate humour, you aren't going to convince them and they aren't going to convince you. Everyone should agree that Honest Hearts sucks though.
Shut up you sperg. Aspie morons are half the playerbase of the shitty wacky games.
I wouldn't say they hate humor, just they have a clinical inability to detect humor in most cases
I hate damage-sponge enemies that constantly spawns along the map, and unrelated "funny" plot with no roleplay at all in a RPG game.
>New Vegas is a great game
Whoa there, let's not get carried away
Are you sure about that?
Still better than Lonesome Road.
Well that's because for all of OWB's problems, it's not hilariously pretentious on top of being a literal hallway of combat encounters.
New Vegas is so overrated, the whole thing has no momentum because everything just waits for you to do the thing
