Somehow this fricking guy made it to a tournament.
For me, it depends on the game. The actual gameplay of something like 40k is garbage, it's just a vehicle for the spectacle of seeing two forces of future space dudes clash on the battlefield - if someone's ruining that spectacle by putting grey plastic on the table, the whole exercise is pointless.

once I started actually painting with a minimum of decent results I started looking for games to use more and more of my miniatures.
this has led me away from GW and towards other RnF games.
it has also make me realize that I wish I had started 15mm rather than 28mm but that's neither here nor there
10th has been reasonably fun for me hampered by GW being completely unable to write a decent codex. The importance placed on objectives and random secondary objectives is pretty cool and doesn't feel kill points or kill points with extra steps like a lot of other games I've played do. But on the other hand GW will make a unit that sees gets to see through a single window and blow several unit off the board without rolling dice that gets to move back into cover after you move on your turn.
It's pathetic you think the money investment in a single army is a lot or that you should be proud of 'saving the money and time.'
Why be proud of being a cheap, lazy loser? Why be proud of embarrassing yourself in public like that

I am a huge fan of Sonic Sledgehammer though. There's a guy who shows you how to paint 10 miniatures in a couple of evenings. It's all about using the best paints for the job from different ranges and having a really clear plan of action.
Miniac doesn’t actually play that much and while painting that tiny Soulblight army he burned himself out hard and it took him 2 (?) years to complete. I began enjoying painting more when I realized youtubers are all miserable and their advice should always be ignored

It's the guy pouring super glue all over the table and putting his guns on upside down, freaking out over someone's mixed space marine armor.

I think you've chosen the wrong hobby. Why would you continue to play a game that universally requires you to paint and assemble your figures if you don't want to do either of those things? Reconsider your life choices.

I don't remember if it was this guy or not, but there was some notable minipainting youtuber who put out a video in which he said Age of Sigmar listbuilding was too complicated and I was just utterly baffled that anyone could hold that opinion.
As someone who plays Age of Sigmar the extra rule books you need are >the core rules/a generals handbook which has the core rules and some seasonal rules >your army tome
List building in AoS is piss easy. I don’t think I’ve ever once needed something more than that to build an army and play a full game. More realistically if you don’t want to spend a dime you need >the Age of Sigmar app >Wahapedia tab open to your army’s page

tbqh having neutral grey uderside tires on heavily weathered models is a pretty bad choice, just a black primer would work better
I learned I was color blind after describing my paint scheme which apparently did not match up with what I had painted.

Far from it. That is only one way to do it.
You can also basecoat, wash and sponge highlight. Sponges are much faster than highlighting.
What's sponge highlight?
This is a bit of a rough example, but basically
>chip with a very small sponge with the highlight colour, particularly the sharp edges
or
>chip with rhinox hide brown for weathering
>chip around these chips with the highlight colour for an effect
with a small piece of sponge on the end of a brush.
I suppose that works if you're after that worn-down look.

Lots of people have now. The issue is always about the moronic number of extra rules books involved now, not the list building itself.
