okay i'll bite. what's fun about it? i don't know much aside from it being about looting, and driving and upgrading a station wagon.
You also upgrade yourself with hazmat suits. There a lot of cool lore to discover by scanning anomalies and stuff. It's pretty much STALKER without guns with a car. People complained about it not being open world, but the zones you travel to function pretty much identically to changing maps in STALKER. It's also brutally challenging if you go places before you're ready, it probably won't last after I get upgrades, but for now I'm getting back with all my panels in the red and nearly gone, sometimes actually destroyed.

I don't like troons, but those decals are the only thing like that in the game. It's dumb, I would prefer it not be there, but it doesn't hamper my enjoyment of the rest of it.

I don't think that's the case, I've never seen any evidence. The devs likely included the decals for sincere personal reasons, as they're indie devs from Seattle. They don't make you use them or anything though, and the flags are a fraction of the large total number of customization items
