just quit the game but im level 15 i think the same gear as you but with a crossbow. was rushing to try and catch dazzi but got fricked lol they only spawn in group and i deal barely any damage. gona try later when im higher level
there's a black market dealer just southeast of the river by the penking arena, near the starting isle. There's a dungeon right next to him, if you go a little ways uphill you should see him. He isn't always there though, I don't know if it's a night thing or a random chance per day.
Anyways, the first time I saw his stock, he had a lvl 6 dazzi, but I didn't have my money with me because I was a moron and put it in a box "until I found a merchant"
When I went back the stock had changed.
So from what I read, it's mostly a single-player game where you could host and invite 3 more people unless you rent a server? Does your progress carry over from host to host?
Not that anon but I don't think 16gb is enough for the server.
Someone setup a server for a streamer I watch and they have 22 players last night and the server FPS was 7. It started to desync and looked horrible. If someone rolled, jumped or did anything but walk, it would rubberband them back to their original spot.
I'm betting you'll need like 128GB ram and a beefy CPU to host more than 20.
The Tower boss battles are 4 player
Everything else can be done with more. I've been doing dungeons and open world boss battles with 6-8 friends
You don't have to rent a server, you can run a dedicated one for free
Progress between dedicated servers does not carry over
Just put a bunch of mining turtles in the base? The point isn't really to mine everything almost instantly but that they do it while you're doing other stuff. The ore spots respawn quite slowly anyway so as long as you get at least a constant stream of ore, it's good enough.
i already got my values worth at an hr of gameplay per $ and i still see myself playing for a long while. it's just fun af. there hasnt been genuinely fun releases in a long time now.
i've been on a streak of not playing games / replaying old games i like but for like the hundredth time / buying a game on sale for like 2 dollars and never playing it / playing a game i bought for 2 dollars once and then never playing it again for fricking years.
i have 24.7 hours in palworld in three days. 20 of those hours happened over the weekend. it would be more if i didn't have a full-time job. i'm currently fricking up and am late for work because i stayed up too late playing the game. i have not done anything like this since 2009 when minecraft came out. this is all the full honest truth.
i don't even care if it only lasts a month, or a week, i got my enjoyment out of it already.
Nah, the game's been slowly chugging along for a couple of years now and the explosive popularity is just a fluke. It's a perfectly servicable game for what it is, not a 10/10, but still decent. Just like Don't Starve or Noita, it's a game I'll occasionally come back to to dick around with.
I spent a whole weekend playing it with my wife. I spent more money on shitty gachas back when I use to play genshin. I definitely feel like I got my cash worth.
Definitely buggy and the enemy AI is moronic. But it's still fun. I've got 20 hours in so far and don't feel like dropping it like every other open world survival crafting game I've ever tried. I suppose monster collection and breeding autism goes a long way to making it tolerable. Exploration is ok on the overworld, dungeons are randomized copy pasted assets.
the game runs ridiculously bad on my rig, is it an optimization thang? I haven't had any issues running last year games but palworld constantly dips under 30 FPS please help a pal
Same. This game is already packed with content. I'm looking forward to playing it for another few weeks, but anything beyond that means I have to choose between it and Helldivers 2, FFVIIR2, DD2, and Rise of the Ronin. A good wrapping up point for these games is a good 35 hours (except for Helldivers 2 which is built around multiplayer; I have no interest in Palworld multiplayer).
I got on my nitewing and fly around the water and where the penguins are
Jsut shooting and killing them and flying over them to pick up stuff.
Got 3 hot springs bulit with 70 pal fluids in a chest
It's possible but people are experimenting on how to get it for each type of breeding outcome. I bred a Jetragon with a Quivern, and the one of the eggs that turned into a Beakon got Legendary and Divine Dragon.
>keeping the ones with desirable traits for breeding.
You should do this. But shinies have a higher chance of having high tier traits. But normal pals also have a chance of this. This is probably why the game encouraged catching 10 pals of the same kind at a time, for players to realize that breeding is the next step to attaining the perfect pal.
Between this and the Pal extractor I feel like this game makes "catching them all" much more meaningful than Pokémon.
Just wished I knew this BEFORE selling all my superfluous pals.

I just wanted to see if the game had eugenics in it seeing as how it was originally influenced by Rimworld. Surprise that it did.
So you got the Rayhound from a specific combo then bred the traits down? I just got a Ferocious inciniram last night and want to breed a one goatman army from him.
>Had a friend complaining that he was getting random Pals when breeding different species
Breeding two different pals doesn't produce a random outcome. There's a "breeding ID" in place with rarer/stronger pals having a lower number while the most common shit like Lamball have the highest number. The resulting pal is the sum of these two ID's divided by 2 so you'll never get a stronger/rarer pal by chance.
What's the speed boost percentage on Direhowl? Mine also has 20% speed passive so I'm wondering how much each is contributing, my Arsox is slow as frick in comparison.
Theres a 20% passive too?
If so, I really need to breed that into my deer.
I tried using the Direhowl but its kinda ass unless it learns a speedboost attack down the line.
If not, then the deer is still superior since Antler Uppercut functions as a spammable charge.
Stamina, carry capacity, and health are the most important, do not put a single point in attack because it barely improves your stat and your pals deal far more damage than you anyway.
if I want to make a fighter, what stats should I be increasing? does attack affect guns? is it better to divide points between defense and hp, focus on one and ignore the other, or just forget about both and try to not get hit? what about stamina? don't think I'll invest any into either weight or work speed, unless there's some heavy as frick equipment later on or something like that
damn that sucks. you eventually unlock multiple bases though dont you? i guess that could cover it all. but maybe i should just find a more condensed spot zzz
reminder that a glitch to catch tower bosses was discovered >aggro town cops by attacking friendly npc >lead them to boss tower and enter >guard npcs should follow you inside >position the boss between you and the guard until the boss gets shot at least once by the guard >DO NOT ATTACK THE BOSS YOURSELF >throw palball >??? >profit
Ideally get one that solely has transport, so it’s working round the clock rather than getting distracted by tasks your other pals have covered. The basic rock eggs should net you some of these
everyone except the best of its species gets munched into the essence extractor
also I haven't used them but if you're low on slots can't you build a pal viewing area or whatever
I feel like the weekend really showed most normalgays that the game 1. existed and 2. was actually fun
I wonder what the numbers during the upcoming weekend will be.
you unlock a third base pretty quick after the second one, dunno if there's more
Max amount of bases is 3, you get it at base level 15.
I don't know what the max base level is, I believe it's either 15 or 20, but the max Pals you can have per base is 20.
can I disable all these necklaces I crafted for dazzi and the others? Them constructing crafting is getting really annoying to the point I dont bother putting them back in the party, even though I would like to.
About to put down my third base as a ranch/breeding ground, are there any key areas badly in need of a fast travel beacon? Maybe a spot with a number of high level chest/fruit tree/valuable egg spawns?
I found a huge fire egg and it hatched into a Suzaku, those things are like level 42 I'm not gonna catch them in a long time so getting a level 3 fire user early is great for me
Why aren't my Pengullets helping keep the freezer cold? They always go work at the plantation even when there are already other Pals watering and then they entirely forget the freezer for the rest of the day. I got 4 Pengullets at my base and they all ignore the fricking freezer even when I drop them in front of it. I'm losing my fricking mind with this.
It runs on Proton. There have been a few graphic glitches, but runs pretty well. But, my computer is much more powerful than steam deck: 5800X3D, 32GB ram, 6700XT.
You can either grab some earth pals for effective damage or anything that can use that seed bomb move that puts down a small minefield of seeds since that move is busted as frick and you'll kill her pretty easy
I'm around level 30ish and the gameplay is really becoming a drag. It takes a really long time to level up now and you are forced to start crafting yellow pokeballs to actually capture stuff for xp now. The game is such an insane ore grind for ingots that it's really tedious but yet boring at the same time. Sulfur is the only "endgame" ingredient I've found across my 20 hours of play.
The base building / automation is incredibly basic and there doesn't seem to be much going on. A lot of guns are mostly pointless too since they instantly kill in 1 shot. Crafting ammo is also pretty tedious. It's a lot easier to just get pokemon upgrades like a flying mount and spam ranged attacks that have unlimited ammo.
The real fun in the game is exploration but at the same time you are getting blocked by levels and the xp grind. I'm still having fun in the game but it plateaued for me kind of quickly for me for this type of crafting / factory game experience.
I did and it's fricking worthless. I leave it running with 4 Tombats and a Dumud for an entire day and come back to maybe 10-20 ores because they keep getting distracted hauling crap around the base.
add some more pals that can only do transporting, they'll pick shit up and your tombats will keep mining
alternatively use rushoars, they can only mine
>add some more pals that can only do transporting
This didn't fix anything. Tombats and DURRRR are still distracted transporting crap around instead of mining exclusively.
i did but it doesn't change the fact that there's buildings that require 100 ingots. yellow pokeballs also require 2 or 3 ingots I think and you need a lot of them. you basically need thousands of ingots to be sustainable if you are playing with other people.
Game needs to implememt more Factorio-like elements asap
that would help a lot, I wish you could just assign an assembly line to craft forever if there's resources available in the base.
> Fast travel to settlement > Shoot guard until you are wanted > Fast travel and enter her tower > dodge until she runs away > capture with pal ball
I've seen a video of this, but I tried it last night and didnt work. Maybe I didnt get to tower fast enough because guard didn't spawn in her tower. Does she respawn?
No. At least you can still buy most materials like wool, bones, leather, flame and electric organs and even oil off pretty much every merchant. I have no fricking idea why they would exclude pal fluids specifically from the lists. Feels like a major oversight,
Pal fluids are on wandering merchants randomly. Capture one and put them back in the pal box to reset stock until you get it.
There is probably a static merchant somewhere but I haven't found it.
Fun fact: Duneshelter in the lv40+ desert area to Northeast sell all gun ammo type. It's far more efficient to farm gold and buy ammo
Aside from the default forced spawn in the tutorial, they randomly appear anywhere in the map.
From how they implement the visitor notification, I assume that they should have a chance to visit your base but it's probably bugged cause I've never seen one after the tutorial
So I've logged about 16 hours or so into the Game Pass version to play with my buddy who's on console. We've been thoroughly enjoying it. Should I get the Steam version too? I know the version differences, and I'd like to play a session with more than one other person. Thoughts?
I started on Xbox and then I bought the Steam version, early access updates dont work well on Xbox games because you have to jump through more hoops. For example Xbox 7 Days to Die was rarely updated.
And when I went to load up my save with the new Xbox update it crashes, continually. I think those homosexuals killed my save. Welp, switching to the Steam version and never looking back.
7dtd was not early access on console. They called it a full release. The lack of updates was more due to the fact fun pimps had nothing to do with the console port, and telltale games going bankrupt. Telltale just wasn't gonna pay iron galaxy for any more updates, cause they ran out of money to do so.
Then fun pimps got the console rights back and abandoned it.
I've been using my second base as a town portal scroll. Just drop it if I'm not near a fast travel pillar, dump inventory then fast travel back and deconstruct.
Doesn't work in dungeons though. Hopefully they add an rope-like item for quickly leaving them.
He's great to speed through dungeons. Thin enough to slip through every connecting tunnel while mounted, whereas most other pals are too wide to keep riding.
I'm glad I pirated before I bought. The mid/endgame is absolutely miserable right now with no way to farm/buy pal fluids and the base pal AI being completely fricked.
I've been fighting every boss with flying mounts kiting them around while spamming unlimited ranged attacks that stack debuffs just by spamming. The game becomes incredibly easy once you learn you can exploit enemy AI by kiting at max attack range where they can barely even attack back. I've been soloing bosses near my level with very minimal effort.
>can I leave the game running in the background so pals keep farming?
Yes, but make sure you have enough food or else the pals will start to get into work accidents >is there a way to avoid them?
Build walls, preferably stone sets and then exploit the pathing
Cooked berries recover one (1) sanity, which considering how much they'll eat in one session is more than enough to never bother with anything more complicated
Cooked berries recover one (1) sanity, which considering how much they'll eat in one session is more than enough to never bother with anything more complicated
Cooking is a waste of time when you can just use a hot spring and there's no way to fully automate it.
I feel like foods should have a maximum sanity threshold that they can restore. Eating cooked berries might make you a bit happer but if you're already at 20% it shouldn't raise you any further
>Want to build cool mountainside base >Stone keeps, crossbow outposts for raids, all that shit >Actually make use of the building tools provided >Pal pathfinding is dire even in the best of times, getting stuck on the scenery and work stations constantly >If they're not running an infinite loop of grabbing and re-grabbing the same set of logs/stone/wheat
Is the only winning play to construct your base on entirely flat ground, spread things out to minimize clutter, and avoid making buildings of any sort besides an outer ring of stone walls?
Keep seeing nice looking builds like , and I have to wonder how the hell those Anon aren't having to save their Pals from being trapped behind walls or underneath cliffsides 24/7.
You don't right now. The base pal pathfinding/spawning is a disaster and if you want to actually want them to get anything done you have to build your bases in very specific moron-proof ways with as few tasks as possible or they get super confused.
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Tsk, oh well.
Definitely noticing that "general purpose" Pals with multiple work disciplines are actually sort-of a trap as well, since they'll constantly interrupt themselves to go do some other random job instead of finishing what they started.
Maybe my third base will be a castle for a castle's sake; somewhere to put all of those home decorations, at least. Thanks for the heads-up, Anon.
>Definitely noticing that "general purpose" Pals with multiple work disciplines are actually sort-of a trap as well
Yep. Until Pocketpair implements a way to select job priorities and forbid pals from doing certain activities you're better off choosing pals with specialist skills instead. Rushoar, for example, is a good early miner since that's ALL he does. It will never get distracted.
Anon, I just randomly put walls where the pals might fell off the cliff or where the path the raids usually came from. I think you're just overthinking it, if any pals seemingly stuck in a place, just build anything and block the spot. Raids comes from the sky? Build higher walls. Until the pathing issues are properly fix, this hacky solution is somewhat works.
they didn't even have to animate them at all. they could've just used the normal walk animation and had the item vanish when they carry it. this game has more attention to detail than most AAA games
God that's awful I hope they fix transporting as a whole soon. Pals dropping shit mid-way and littering your entire base because they wanted to get a quick snack or break shouldn't happen at all.
genuinely no idea. i can tell you it's not player level, because i got raided by level 30 relaxaurus group at around level 18 and got my base razed, and it's not based on area either because i get strong raids even in the starting area
has to be level, because my first two bases are getting hit by lvl 30s now(which is annoying as frick because worker exp is so slow that most of them are 15-20, so I had to put some lvl 30+ bruisers in each base.)
i ran into one area (after 20 hours) that had a broken wall and it was very difficult to get my stuff back when i clipped into it and died. otherwise the only bugs have been some pals getting stuck in base after a while and you can cycle them back into storage then back to base to fix that
There's supposedly a bug where you can lose your progress if you use a respec item and I've also clipped under the floor a couple of times requiring a respawn which would make you lose your stuff, you can turn item loss off however which I'm glad I did. As far as feel goes it's probably the more polished early access title I've played but it still has that pocketpair jank, they borrowed a lot from craftopia both design and how the character feels.
seems like it's based on the area the base is in
my main base only gets raided by level 17-18 stuff even though I'm at 25
genuinely no idea. i can tell you it's not player level, because i got raided by level 30 relaxaurus group at around level 18 and got my base razed, and it's not based on area either because i get strong raids even in the starting area
I see. So far I've heard people state that:
Your level effects it
Your base level effects it
Your base location effects it
How far you explore effects it
I've been lucky so far in that I've only had one fire team roll in and wreck my wooden walls but I'm trying to not level beyond my base pals right now until I figure out just what makes the raids harder.
No crash in singleplayer for 30 hours here. My worst bug is getting stuck in terrain when dismounting but nothing the respawn button can't fix. I recommend disabling death penalty until all the small kinks are worked out.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around all the shit in this game, there are so many items, things to do and build with pals running all over the place and a huge mammoth thing occasionally aggroing and killing us all, it's complete information overload. Is this what all survival craft games are like or is this one extra spicy?
How do I make my fluffy proletariat deliver specific items to specific chests? I tried placing chests near the facilities that make items I want them to store, but I still saw my Cattiva carry an egg to the quarry chest.
Just catch a Rushoar, get the Rushor saddle and charge into an ore node with his signature attack.
Sounds stupid, but is highly effective. It takes 3 charges to mine the entire node and gives ~35 ore.
>return to camp >Raid: Fangirls >The frick is a fangir-Oh shit rape lizards! >Going to catch one >The entire camp just jumps them and they're dead before I can even get my balls out
How often do lovander raid?
It's random but often enough I'd say. I've had several raids on the same day but pal raids aren't always the same. There's direhowl/gecko raids, rape lizards, exploding tocotoco and those flying fire wyvern gays from what I've seen + the usual human raids (syndycate/free pal alliance).
Only seen a single Lovander assault in about ~20 hours on my current solo file. Most of the raids I've been through are from the human factions, or fire-type wild pals. Didn't have any Pal Spheres on me at the time, and the pals at my base slaughtered them before I could make any more. Rip.
I've gotten about 30 raids and 8 were from them so far. They're some of the worst ones to get raiding you at high level since they're actually pretty fast & hardly give you any prep time.
Meanwhile with any human raiders I can just fly to their spawn and kill them all before they actually get close enough to actually aggro.
They only have handicraft as a skill so I like to keep one around to craft stuff when my palomons get distracted picking up and dropping wood over and over.
If you catch a good combat human like minigun giga homie I heard they shoot their guns while being base pets
otherwise merchants are good pets because they craft only and sell/buy wares or pals
I caught the one with the giant minigun. Total waste of time. I'll have to test later if he uses it while being a base pet, but at least when it comes to using him as a pal, he won't use his gun, he just uses a gay ass melee attack that does no damage that I didnt even know he had.
What's the best food in terms of weight/nutrition ratio? I want to make something in bulk to take with me on expeditions without it also weighting a frick ton.
You have to pick items you've dropped back up manually by pressing F so it's easy to know you're bullshitting. Pals also seem like they won't interact with items you've dropped in this manner.
Which Pals do I need to use to get them to harvest drops from the ranch? I feel like they're never grabbing them. I'm using Hangyus which have 2 transport but they're doing nothing
There's a specific "Gathering" skill that looks like a leaf icon (not planting) and I believe you need level 2 to gather from crops such as wheat. I also have no idea what higher Transporting skill does.
transporter pals seem a bit broken, they don't like stacking things very much so it might just be that they can't sense a box with empty slots that they can dump their stuff in even though they could have added it to a stack in the boxes you have already
I set all my word settings to the easiest shit and it was more fun than slogging away and wasting hours doing the exact same tasks but for less materials and xp. You are cucking yourself if you don't do this, why would you wait for an egg to hatch when there is an option to hatch it instantly?
>Circuit board
is this going to be regular use like to craft higher level pal spheres and such similar to ore or is it a gather once -> craft benches/weapons/armor and forget about it kind of thing? because frick pal fluids
Are there any good spots for it in later areas? Haven't been around the outer edges of the map too much but like I mentioned I haven't found more than one vein
>I'm guessing the frick-off hyper beam clone is neutral typed
There's one for every type I think
So far on rare pals I've seen grass, normal, water and dark.
You can check the learnsets of pals and they normally learn something like it at level 50
I wish there was more armor customization or something. I want to wear armor made out of pals. Also reminder to capture the bosses now before they patch it out.
It's obviously not intentional since they retain their health and Zoe stops making cute noises and the way you capture them abuses a bug in enemy AI regarding aggression, I think. They don't retain all their attacks and basically become regular boss-type variants of the pal they have. Although, if they do make an intentional way to capture bosses, that'd be cool too.
When I get my third base, I'm going to fill it with just bosses. Ideally, multiple copies of Zoe, then I'm going to breed Zoes. For people who've bred pals, if you breed two of the same type, do they make the same type of pal?
Be honest: if this weren't being played by a million players right now you wouldn't have bothered this far. The first two hours or so are fine specially since you can just catch everything you come across with the basic balls but when the game actually starts forcing you to engage with the base-building aspect because of higher resource/workload requirements you notice how buggy and half-baked this shit is. I'm glad I pirated and tried it first. This product is not worth buying in its current state.
Since this thread probably contains most game discussion i have few questions:
What country made palworld?
What is the gameplay about (is it Factorio like autism, or Catching pals like pokekman)
What do i need to play with friends
Is online good (will i start getting desync errors every 5 mins like in civ 5)
How deep is rimworld hole is? ( i know that pals are basically your slaves, but can you skin enemy pal and use its fur to make a cool hat)
How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Dont care about "they stole from pokekman" drama. Thanks for answers
>What is the gameplay about (is it Factorio like autism, or Catching pals like pokekman)
Mostly it's a FPS with some RPG elements.
>What do i need to play with friends
An Xbox subscription.
>Is online good (will i start getting desync errors every 5 mins like in civ 5)
No desync errors though I was telefragged twice by someone.
>How deep is rimworld hole is? ( i know that pals are basically your slaves, but can you skin enemy pal and use its fur to make a cool hat)
About twenty feet? Thirty?
>How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Equipments come in four tiers with slot for gems, common/uncommon/rare/legendary, pretty good overall.
Spoonfeeding
Japan
Ark but competent + Rimworld scaled down
4 player coop p2p or 32 player dedicated server. Dedicated is only on Steam and very unoptimized
Butcher and cool hat is in. You may need unique recipes from random dungeon drop like the hat made from the witch cat pal's fur
It's pal stat autism. Think pokemon eugenics with breeding and fusion. You can do equipment autism by hunting legendary recipe drop but your pal is way better at high level combat
>What country made palworld?
JP >What is the gameplay about (is it Factorio like autism, or Catching pals like pokekman)
Survival crafting. FPS, catch pals. >What do i need to play with friends
If you're playing on PC, just having steam is fun if you're only playing with 4 people. Otherwise you need a dedicated server set up. >Is online good (will i start getting desync errors every 5 mins like in civ 5)
Small issues with an online server, like the labels occasionally displaying an error when resource gathering. >How deep is rimworld hole is? ( i know that pals are basically your slaves, but can you skin enemy pal and use its fur to make a cool hat)
Not that deep >How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Not that good. So far the tiering is pretty linear and you upgrade a tier every few levels. Spears are trash so you're stuck with bows/crossbows. I haven't unlocked firearms yet.
>What country made palworld?
Japan, by Japanese People, with some outsourcing. >What is the gameplay about (is it Factorio like autism, or Catching pals like pokekman)
Its a Third Person Shooter where you capture monsters and use them in your base to automate some production. Currently its not Factorio autism levels because you cannot set crafts to infinite and Pals can't take items from most production buildings >What do i need to play with friends
4 player co-op is local host, preferably by someone with a good PC
32 man Dedicated servers are/will be a thing when they get it working again. >Is online good (will i start getting desync errors every 5 mins like in civ 5)
Online, when it was working, was fine >How deep is rimworld hole is? ( i know that pals are basically your slaves, but can you skin enemy pal and use its fur to make a cool hat)
There are some special crafts that use Pal parts, like feathers or fur, but its not psycho levels
Psycho levels is the Butcher tool, used to DELETE your Pals forever, can also be used on
wait what??
>How good is equipment autism (the more stats the better for me)
Very Basic, some Pals drop weapons but the best gear is blueprints from chests for higher tiers of stuff you can normally make.
>How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Fairly linear but dungeon boss treasure chests can give significantly superior versions of base recipes
From what I heard, you can put a pal and human into the breeding pen. The human gets debuffed, but that debuff turns into a buff after a while as the post-nut clarity wears off Haven't gotten to test it myself.
Pal's eat corpses.
I first noticed this with crowladie, when I killed a pal, and suddenly
I've since seen wolves eating dead humans.Digtoises ambling across the desert, to pick at the remains of a firefight. Even saw the overworld boss variant of Anubis, leave her spawn area to take a hunk of flesh from some dead activists. Scared the bejeebus out of me, since I thought I was gonna get one shot .But no.
>Even saw the overworld boss variant of Anubis, leave her spawn area to take a hunk of flesh from some dead activists
this happened to me too, it ate a whole squad of syndicate mooks
also saw a direhowl pack do the same thing
>make base on ore deposit >put pals with high mining or cool mining special abilities to speed up process, like the turtle dudes >put chest near nodes, then put another chest near your main base travel point >pull yourself around with grappling hook >drop off ore at first base's chest next to travel point
Good on you for having an informed opinion anon.
I have no idea how this game is managing to keep my attention, I usually hate these survival crafting mechanics.
Oh well.
>almost exclusively female avatars >posing ""cute"" poses or with ""cute"" pokemon >flocking to fotm streamer bait
yeah I'm thinking it's troony hours in here
reminds me Dota bullshit for some reason >company had 10+ years to copyright name and make it in standalone powerhouse >does nothing >rival company emerges and copyrights name and makes it in standalone powerhouse >REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LAWSUIT!
How many random events have you seen around?
I've come across >Two Elephant frickers having a fight >A pack of Wolves beating the shit out of an Ice Hedgehog >A huge group of cultists having a fight with a lvl 50 shiny Pal
anyone found a good spot with ore AND coal yet? And preferably some sulphur? At least on the volcano I mostly find only ore or only coal spots, best I've found was 4 coal 1 ore near the beach of everlasting summer but it has somewhat shitty terrain
What's the absolute bare minimum I have to do to catch a Menasting? Me and a buddy tried to catch the boss one but our balls weren't strong enough even when it was weakened.
>saw a clip of hoe-girlve fighting her >they immediately went "oh she'll get a lot of fanart"
they know what they're doing, both with the sexmons and the sex trainers
doesn't matter, i have it on lowest settings and its still choppy as hell. only playing it because it was free and i'm out of town for a few days, although I am having fun, I like base building games. If it ever comes out on ps5 i might drop 20 bucks on it
>doesn't matter
It does.
People are playing it on the SteamDeck with better performance than you somehow.
I don't know if anyone has found this yet but if you climb onto a Pal Sphere while it is in the air during the shaking animation, you can stand on top of it and it fires you directly upwards the moment the catch succeeds.
I managed to get up on top of this super high tower just by catching a single Pal and standing on top of the Pal Sphere.
Saw a webm of that day 1. Had completely forgot about that until now.
If you ask /vp/ it's because AI writes better code than humans
If you want to be realistic about it it's because a bunch of people spent like 3+ years on this shit
Grappling hook becomes even more redundant the better your flying mount becomes. Still has its uses though (pulling yourself from base to base while encumbered)
is free range flight allowed? or is it one of those gay systems where the game says "you can only be this amount of pixels above relative to the surface below you?"
Ice eggs don't want heat, I have my hatchery in a neutral location. I just put a heater near my eggs and if I'm hatching normal eggs I bring a fire pal to use the heater to warm them up and if I'm hatching ice eggs I don't use the heater.
>An entire thread of Anon actually fricking playing the game, and sharing their experiences/advice with one another.
This was nice. Shame these threads can't always be like this.
>can get pal crystals from crushing rocks >no way to get iron ore
Thanks, bros. All i've been doing for hours now is gliding and sliding across the map, mining iron to make palballs.
You're supposed to use slave labor like what people do in real life, anon. Look to the Congos for inspiration on how to maximize production of raw materials.
I'm currently working there. I'm not sure if it's the terrain working against it or just bad pathfinding or if I'm just bad at bases. I made a castle on the middle hill and my fricking digging turtles just spin around the walls like they are trying to destroy it lol
just quit the game but im level 15 i think the same gear as you but with a crossbow. was rushing to try and catch dazzi but got fricked lol they only spawn in group and i deal barely any damage. gona try later when im higher level
I got one in a cage spawned in an outpost so get exploring
I found Dazzi in a random poacher camp.
Didn't even need it. I wish I could gift you mine.
Same here. I found it on my first poacher camp. I didn't even free it, since I decided to farm the cam
If you want to go the extra mile build a house and trap one out of the patrol. Then set it on fire with a campfire and wait. Bring many balls.
nice I'll give it a shot thx bro
there's a black market dealer just southeast of the river by the penking arena, near the starting isle.
I think I got a Dazzi from an egg.
bros finally... had to level up some to get more hp and survive the heat but it worked out... im so happy rn...
Congrats on your newly acquired wife!
Dazzis are acquirable from common thunder eggs. If you have a flying mount, you can fly to a bunch of eggs in about 10 minutes or something.
You are a bawd
A palworld gameplay thread died for this
Will probably dump the rest in hp after 1k weight, 250 stam.
Can you post your feet?
How cute can you make your character?
So from what I read, it's mostly a single-player game where you could host and invite 3 more people unless you rent a server? Does your progress carry over from host to host?
Dedicated servers are fricked so don't worry about them and no each server is its own game.
how are they fricked exactly? I was just planning on setting up one for me and my friends
What does that hot spring even do? I had to build it to upgrade my base but I have never seen anyt use for it.
Refills a Pals sanity, which they lose slowly over time the more they're worked.
Think of it as a bed for your dark Pals, they don't sleep so the only san gain they get is from eating or pool diving
The Tower boss battles are 4 player
Everything else can be done with more. I've been doing dungeons and open world boss battles with 6-8 friends
You don't have to rent a server, you can run a dedicated one for free
Progress between dedicated servers does not carry over
So what stats are actually worth leveling?
Does it make sense to just go all into attack and shoot things to death before they even get to you?
Weight and stamina, but specially weight.
Is there a way to automate the metal production? Especially mining the ore.
Make a base in a spot with multiple ore lodes and set mining pals.
I notice it's really slow though, unless I bring the turtle then he just clears 300 ore in a minute with the headband
Just put a bunch of mining turtles in the base? The point isn't really to mine everything almost instantly but that they do it while you're doing other stuff. The ore spots respawn quite slowly anyway so as long as you get at least a constant stream of ore, it's good enough.
Those boots should be open-toed, like pic related
What incredible science went into making her outfit so lewd without being lewd?
Your character is cute
Thanks
The character and pal models contrast each other so much. Absolutely Chinese tier shit.
Why does every single asset look stolen
Doing good so far, i think.
Why are you playing as a girl in the game?
so i can look at her ass. simple as.
any waifus in this game and can i marry them and take them back to my pokemon slave camp
>any waifus in this game
yes
>can i marry them
no
>take them back to my pokemon slave camp
yes
palworld is only good for watching vtubers play it
be honest Ganker
is this another streamer fotm cashgrab?
Its early access survival game. What do you think?
i already got my values worth at an hr of gameplay per $ and i still see myself playing for a long while. it's just fun af. there hasnt been genuinely fun releases in a long time now.
>early access survival game with anime-style characters and creature design heavily "inspired" by a popular IP
Personally, no. I've been wanting this game for years now.
i've been on a streak of not playing games / replaying old games i like but for like the hundredth time / buying a game on sale for like 2 dollars and never playing it / playing a game i bought for 2 dollars once and then never playing it again for fricking years.
i have 24.7 hours in palworld in three days.
Just like Don't Starve or Noita, it's a game I'll occasionally come back to to dick around with.
>early access
>survival
>crafting
>Fortnite graphics
>Pokemon rip-offs
Come on, anon...
I have never played Valheim/Rust. I like this one because it's cute and I can play solo without other people like Factorio.
I spent a whole weekend playing it with my wife. I spent more money on shitty gachas back when I use to play genshin. I definitely feel like I got my cash worth.
I thought that too at first. Then I bought it.
It's fun.
It's forced fakemon nu-fotm Gankeriral slopkino debased tendiesnoy Black personino cuckchud homosexualry, the chadtroon kind, if you follow my drift.
Wheres the mine with the black market dude?
I found him once but forgot to mark it on my map.
Where do you guys farm pal fluids?
why, my peanus weenus of course 🙂 hahah!
Poach water pals.
Only they drop them.
kill water type pals
Its fun as it is right now. I dont care if they do a single update.
Same. This game is already packed with content. I'm looking forward to playing it for another few weeks, but anything beyond that means I have to choose between it and Helldivers 2, FFVIIR2, DD2, and Rise of the Ronin. A good wrapping up point for these games is a good 35 hours (except for Helldivers 2 which is built around multiplayer; I have no interest in Palworld multiplayer).
second page of the production, semen extraction station
I got on my nitewing and fly around the water and where the penguins are
Jsut shooting and killing them and flying over them to pick up stuff.
Got 3 hot springs bulit with 70 pal fluids in a chest
Digimon mods when?
>mfw Angewomon with FULLY MODELLED vegana
Holy shit so the sequel to Sex does exist.
what am i looking at here
can i make a e-girl player character?
no
Reminder to breed your pals, passive traits can be inherited at a chance, and engage in eugenics.
You can pretty much get all the pals in the game through breeding different pals with each other.
Can't wait to unlock breeding.
Is the shiny trait hereditary?
Can I breed shiny versions of my favourites by breeding them with random shinies I got?
It's possible but people are experimenting on how to get it for each type of breeding outcome. I bred a Jetragon with a Quivern, and the one of the eggs that turned into a Beakon got Legendary and Divine Dragon.
I wonder if it's worth catching a lot of pals and keeping the ones with desirable traits for breeding.
>keeping the ones with desirable traits for breeding.
I had 7 cakes despawn on me even though they were in the cooler in prep for breeding and had that longfrickdog set on it.
How do I fix this?
You don't. The cooler doesn't work when the cooling pal is sleeping so don't make too much in advance.
Capture 2 Vanwyrm Cyst (Ice Dark) in the Northwest Ice area. Since they have dark type, they don't sleep.
>put them in the cooler
>instead of the breeding barn where they don't spoil anyway
LMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Seriously? It was that simple?
Yes. Look at the timers.
Is it just cake that doesn't spoil?
Dumb question but do 2 Rayhounds make another Rayhound? Had a friend complaining that he was getting random Pals when breeding different species.
yes, 2 identical pals make for the same pals. Didn't test rayhound specifically but it's true for the other cases I had.
I cant breed the pals I can't move and cakes take forever to make 🙁
What's the best way to defend a base?
poo
Are there twintails for haircut?
What's the speed boost percentage on Direhowl? Mine also has 20% speed passive so I'm wondering how much each is contributing, my Arsox is slow as frick in comparison.
Theres a 20% passive too?
If so, I really need to breed that into my deer.
I tried using the Direhowl but its kinda ass unless it learns a speedboost attack down the line.
If not, then the deer is still superior since Antler Uppercut functions as a spammable charge.
30% swift
20% runner
10% nimble
>got 10 and 30 on two deers
>>>both female
Frick.
There better damn well be a farmable dittomon in this game
She looks like she fricks pals
>female character
ywnbaw
I'm thinking of making a new base dedicated to making iron ingots.
Finally a non-troon.
The face, body and clothing seem mismatched, though.
Is your heterosexuality seriously so fragile that you don't dare to play as a hot looking chick?
The heterosexuality of virtual troons is non-existing.
The absence of himmerjocky is very sincere.
>1.750.000 concurrent players
jesus
>find a cool place near a cliff
>place a staircase so my pals don't need to walk around
>they don't use the staircase and keep walking around
How do you level up partner skills?
Pal condensor
Ah I didn't understand the point of that thing, thanks.
What stats should I upgrade on my character? ive been doing work, stamina and carry
Stamina, carry capacity, and health are the most important, do not put a single point in attack because it barely improves your stat and your pals deal far more damage than you anyway.
Yeah I laughed when I saw attack increase by 1 compared to every stat
Forgot about health though, will have to upgrade that next
if I want to make a fighter, what stats should I be increasing? does attack affect guns? is it better to divide points between defense and hp, focus on one and ignore the other, or just forget about both and try to not get hit? what about stamina? don't think I'll invest any into either weight or work speed, unless there's some heavy as frick equipment later on or something like that
Does my base radius increase as it levels? This spot looked cozy but I thought id be able to build across the whole thing
It doesn't. The pathing is pretty shit too so you might want to put everything for pal use down near the ores.
damn that sucks. you eventually unlock multiple bases though dont you? i guess that could cover it all. but maybe i should just find a more condensed spot zzz
Multiple bases means two. Third unlock is a very late game thing.
>put 4 campfires and 1 heater near my incubating egg
>it still feels cold
It don't think campfires actually increase warmth for incubators nor do multiples heaters stack.
Campfires do, they just don't stack
Heater does nothing until fire pal starts working on it.
reminder that a glitch to catch tower bosses was discovered
>aggro town cops by attacking friendly npc
>lead them to boss tower and enter
>guard npcs should follow you inside
>position the boss between you and the guard until the boss gets shot at least once by the guard
>DO NOT ATTACK THE BOSS YOURSELF
>throw palball
>???
>profit
I really hope they don't fix this. But they will because we can't be allowed too much fun at once.
How do I get my pals to collect wood and stone from the mills or those laying on the ground
get a pal with skill in transport, which is the cardboard box icon
I guess I need mre than one or two to cover everything then...
Does a Pal's other skill affinities affect what they decide to transport first?
Ideally get one that solely has transport, so it’s working round the clock rather than getting distracted by tasks your other pals have covered. The basic rock eggs should net you some of these
>playing slop to own Ganker
How the frick are you people getting around the 16 box limit?
480 slots just ain't enough.
everyone except the best of its species gets munched into the essence extractor
also I haven't used them but if you're low on slots can't you build a pal viewing area or whatever
We're probably plateau-ing at around 185.000.000 today.
It's honestly wild enough that monday managed to top the weekend
I feel like the weekend really showed most normalgays that the game 1. existed and 2. was actually fun
I wonder what the numbers during the upcoming weekend will be.
hehehe...
please
How many Lamballs did she eat, godamn that's a fat b***h
I hope they add more to customization, skins, and armors
some one have link to p mod?
Cashed in my free month of Gamepass ultimate to give this a try.
Definitely buying it on Steam.
What's the max base level?
How many bases can you have at most? I've unlocked a 2nd base now.
you unlock a third base pretty quick after the second one, dunno if there's more
Max amount of bases is 3, you get it at base level 15.
I don't know what the max base level is, I believe it's either 15 or 20, but the max Pals you can have per base is 20.
Weight : 1000
Crafing Speed : 500
Stamina : 250
Everything else in to HP. Attack/Defense are such low gains they're not worth it at all.
I have my work speed at 800 and most things take 3 seconds to build.
The true benchmark for me is going to see how long it takes to make a cake.
where do i find one of these? haven't seen them yet
there's a level 49 boss one in a deep volcanic cave to the west, think he's basically a legendary
can I disable all these necklaces I crafted for dazzi and the others? Them constructing crafting is getting really annoying to the point I dont bother putting them back in the party, even though I would like to.
About to put down my third base as a ranch/breeding ground, are there any key areas badly in need of a fast travel beacon? Maybe a spot with a number of high level chest/fruit tree/valuable egg spawns?
does this game have eugenics? pretty much the only thing I care about.
Yeah, you can breed different Pals to try to stack highest ranked skills
that's great. how does it compare to breeding in pokemon or ark, if you've played that?
Playing since release and still not even level 30. Tend to play pretty slowly anyway.
You can earn massive amounts of EXP just by catching 10 monsters of each kind.
does the attack stat affect guns
So Pal traits like Mining Foreman or Motivational Leader work even if they aren't out just as long as they're in your party?
Eggs
>mostly small ones
Enjoy your 20 swees I guess.
I found a huge dragon egg last night right before going to bed. I’m so curious what it could be. Apparently they are Giga rare
>climbed to the peak of the tallest mountain
>all I get is a huge ice egg
I found so many ice eggs on my way up...
HELP ;_;
get a pal with only cooling or at least one that doesn't have transport skill until pocketpair implements job priorities
The penguins yearn for the fields.
Toss one of them at it and he'll do nothing but maintain the freezer.
never repair gang
I just hope this game gets good mod support and updates— massive massive potential here, having lots of fun
When does the game get fun?
From the get go, tendie. You enslave palmons and kill people. If you need more than that you are the problem.
I'd say once you leave the starting zone and find more than just the three generic pals.
When you start playing the egg gacha
Someone tell me if this game runs fine on steam deck
I'd like to play it but that's the most powerful thing I have, I use it as my desktop even
I haven't seen anyone complain about it so I bet it works fine.
It runs on Proton. There have been a few graphic glitches, but runs pretty well. But, my computer is much more powerful than steam deck: 5800X3D, 32GB ram, 6700XT.
i also got a t-pose swapping the pick axe for the grapple gun via right click
i want sexier armor.
I just made the lifmunk machinegun am I ready to fight zoe yet
I'm still having fun in the game but it plateaued for me kind of quickly for me for this type of crafting / factory game experience.
>he didn’t build his base on a large ore deposit location
Kek
I did and it's fricking worthless. I leave it running with 4 Tombats and a Dumud for an entire day and come back to maybe 10-20 ores because they keep getting distracted hauling crap around the base.
add some more pals that can only do transporting, they'll pick shit up and your tombats will keep mining
alternatively use rushoars, they can only mine
>add some more pals that can only do transporting
This didn't fix anything. Tombats and DURRRR are still distracted transporting crap around instead of mining exclusively.
i did but it doesn't change the fact that there's buildings that require 100 ingots. yellow pokeballs also require 2 or 3 ingots I think and you need a lot of them. you basically need thousands of ingots to be sustainable if you are playing with other people.
that would help a lot, I wish you could just assign an assembly line to craft forever if there's resources available in the base.
Game needs to implememt more Factorio-like elements asap
Change the exp gain rate of your world.
how do I beat her
You stop being shit or switch to easy mode
profusely about the head and shoulders
Literally just bring a ground type team, it's not hard. A squad of gumoss could beat them
Get a ground type pal, run and hide behind cover, take potshots if you want to
> Fast travel to settlement
> Shoot guard until you are wanted
> Fast travel and enter her tower
> dodge until she runs away
> capture with pal ball
I've seen a video of this, but I tried it last night and didnt work. Maybe I didnt get to tower fast enough because guard didn't spawn in her tower. Does she respawn?
One of the required steps is to get guards to shoot the boss inside the arena.
bear her? You're supposed to catch Zoe
Can any pokemon break rocks/ore deposits instantly? Or do I have to pickaxe
Anything with level 2 mining, but don't place a mining work station or else they'll prefer to do that.
need pal fluids... for cement... for pal spheres... can't automate... can't buy...frick.....................................
you gotta do it the good ol' way
Is there really no pal that can graze for pal fluids? I know the little candle thing can graze for the fire version of it.
It's far more efficient to farm gold and buy ammo
>wandering merchants
Do these even exist? I saw one 5 minutes into my game when I was just starting out and then never seen one again 30 hours later.
I've seen many who are being harassed by thugs out in about
Aside from the default forced spawn in the tutorial, they randomly appear anywhere in the map.
Thoughts?
Anyone?
I started on Xbox and then I bought the Steam version, early access updates dont work well on Xbox games because you have to jump through more hoops. For example Xbox 7 Days to Die was rarely updated.
Yeah, I just got the Steam version. I'll keep both installed for when I play with my Xbox and Ganker bros.
Then fun pimps got the console rights back and abandoned it.
why is he doing this...
You have to it all the eggs
I've been using my second base as a town portal scroll. Just drop it if I'm not near a fast travel pillar, dump inventory then fast travel back and deconstruct.
Doesn't work in dungeons though. Hopefully they add an rope-like item for quickly leaving them.
Reminder that eating pals is blasphemy against god
what if pals eat humans thoever?
The hippies probably allow Pals to vore them
wtf i love hippies now
What am i supposed to eat then? Fricking berries?
in awe at the size of this lad
Just wait until you see the llama king.
He cute
Riding this thing is so pointless, he's so slow and doesn't fit anywhere...
He's great to speed through dungeons. Thin enough to slip through every connecting tunnel while mounted, whereas most other pals are too wide to keep riding.
He is pretty small for a boss pal and can swim. Pretty useful in dungeons with water tiles.
I'm glad I pirated before I bought. The mid/endgame is absolutely miserable right now with no way to farm/buy pal fluids and the base pal AI being completely fricked.
how do i craft the grappling gun after unlocking
its not at the high quality workbench
weapons workbench
This game really needs a "teams preset" function.
You can't do that strat in dungeon and gaol boss fights though.
you can because i've done it multiple times already.
the ai is so bad
This game is so comfy
Depresso can barely contain his contempt for you
Don’t take pictures of my wife in the bath anon
Any more skills like these that will ease collecting materials?
There are passives which increase mining/logging/player speed
The most surprising thing to me is the player count despite the system requirements, they're pretty high for requirements
My 7 years old GTX 1060 can still run it at high res
can I leave the game running in the background so pals keep farming? or is this why raids exist? is there a way to avoid them?
>can I leave the game running in the background so pals keep farming?
Yes, but make sure you have enough food or else the pals will start to get into work accidents
>is there a way to avoid them?
Build walls, preferably stone sets and then exploit the pathing
>but make sure you have enough food
they produce infinite berries so it's fine
Berries does not recover pal's sanity, anon. Jam-filled Bun is the best for me for its cost efficiency.
jamchads stay winning
Cooked berries recover one (1) sanity, which considering how much they'll eat in one session is more than enough to never bother with anything more complicated
Cooking is a waste of time when you can just use a hot spring and there's no way to fully automate it.
I feel like foods should have a maximum sanity threshold that they can restore. Eating cooked berries might make you a bit happer but if you're already at 20% it shouldn't raise you any further
>Want to build cool mountainside base
>Stone keeps, crossbow outposts for raids, all that shit
>Actually make use of the building tools provided
>Pal pathfinding is dire even in the best of times, getting stuck on the scenery and work stations constantly
>If they're not running an infinite loop of grabbing and re-grabbing the same set of logs/stone/wheat
Would be nice if you could manually turn off certain tasks per pal. How does the management stand thing work, maybe it's like that?
It boosts work speed but increases stress
Until the pathing issues are properly fix, this hacky solution is somewhat works.
>is there a way to avoid them?
You can turn them off.
really? how?
At the world selection screen where you load you game. There you can change the settings for the world.
HOLY SOVL
Depresso’s work animations are great too
Most pals having unique work animations is pretty neat
they didn't even have to animate them at all. they could've just used the normal walk animation and had the item vanish when they carry it. this game has more attention to detail than most AAA games
God that's awful I hope they fix transporting as a whole soon. Pals dropping shit mid-way and littering your entire base because they wanted to get a quick snack or break shouldn't happen at all.
Ganker may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
I honestly don't see the appeal. Can't even be bothered to pirate it to try it.
That said, I don't hate the game, nor do I think it's bad.
this is the most "video game" video game to come out in a while so the problem might be you.
I have the same exact reaction to every "open world survival crafting" game.
Also the most video game video game is EDF.
What do raids scale off of, player level? Everyone seems to have a different answer for why raids can be lopsided but I can't find a definite answer.
seems like it's based on the area the base is in
my main base only gets raided by level 17-18 stuff even though I'm at 25
genuinely no idea. i can tell you it's not player level, because i got raided by level 30 relaxaurus group at around level 18 and got my base razed, and it's not based on area either because i get strong raids even in the starting area
Playing solo on the default normal settings and I haven't had a raid in like 10 hours.
Maybe it's based on how many resources you collect from the wild or something.
has to be level, because my first two bases are getting hit by lvl 30s now(which is annoying as frick because worker exp is so slow that most of them are 15-20, so I had to put some lvl 30+ bruisers in each base.)
when do i unlock the second base?
im tired of my ugly start base in a shit location i must be set free
base level 10
you only get a second base in multiplayer (you need a guild)
I uprooted my hole base to a really high-up cliff, it's perfect to defend
lvl 10
You can just disassemble your base from the map
does the game have that Early Access feel or is it polished enough to not lose progress and not get soft/hard locked?
some people have reported their characters getting deleted when playing online but if you play alone you shouldn't have any issues
you can definitely feel that it's very unfinished
there's a bunch of bugs, but nothing that'll actually frick your progress
their version control for the game is flash drives in buckets
expect bugs
it's still really good though
i ran into one area (after 20 hours) that had a broken wall and it was very difficult to get my stuff back when i clipped into it and died. otherwise the only bugs have been some pals getting stuck in base after a while and you can cycle them back into storage then back to base to fix that
There's supposedly a bug where you can lose your progress if you use a respec item and I've also clipped under the floor a couple of times requiring a respawn which would make you lose your stuff, you can turn item loss off however which I'm glad I did. As far as feel goes it's probably the more polished early access title I've played but it still has that pocketpair jank, they borrowed a lot from craftopia both design and how the character feels.
No crash in singleplayer for 30 hours here. My worst bug is getting stuck in terrain when dismounting but nothing the respawn button can't fix. I recommend disabling death penalty until all the bugs are worked out.
It's tangible, but I deem it good enough, at least in my 3 hours of experience.
If you quit during a raid pals will stay in battle mode forever when you boot back up, you can fix it by attacking a non-captured pal in your base
If you try to sleep during the day the game softlocks until you restart (or until it's night maybe)
I think the pathfinding is the only part that feels early access
I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around all the shit in this game, there are so many items, things to do and build with pals running all over the place and a huge mammoth thing occasionally aggroing and killing us all, it's complete information overload. Is this what all survival craft games are like or is this one extra spicy?
I think your brain is just extra atrophied.
Any deckgay playing it? Also never played a survival game, will they add more levels and pals?
Ahem: YWNBAW
How do I make my fluffy proletariat deliver specific items to specific chests? I tried placing chests near the facilities that make items I want them to store, but I still saw my Cattiva carry an egg to the quarry chest.
what make a monster mine ore?
i have an ore spot in my base but its never touched
do they have mining skill
yes they go ham on rocks
Lvl 2 minor skill
need level 2 miner
Just catch a Rushoar, get the Rushor saddle and charge into an ore node with his signature attack.
Sounds stupid, but is highly effective. It takes 3 charges to mine the entire node and gives ~35 ore.
guys don't try to swim to the giant tree
there's a red barrier/invisible wall around it when you get too close
I already tried, was so disappointed.
I tried it too. It's probably the last stage.
Male characters look like such garbo because of their disproportionate heads but basically everyone plays chick so I don't think they'll change this
>return to camp
>Raid: Fangirls
>The frick is a fangir-Oh shit rape lizards!
>Going to catch one
>The entire camp just jumps them and they're dead before I can even get my balls out
How often do lovander raid?
It's random but often enough I'd say. I've had several raids on the same day but pal raids aren't always the same. There's direhowl/gecko raids, rape lizards, exploding tocotoco and those flying fire wyvern gays from what I've seen + the usual human raids (syndycate/free pal alliance).
Sometimes it's one after another but you can also go two days without any raid, really random.
I mostly get syndicate raids, only got one lovander raid. My friends say they get 80% lovander raids 20% syndicate. I guess it depends on your luck
Only seen a single Lovander assault in about ~20 hours on my current solo file. Most of the raids I've been through are from the human factions, or fire-type wild pals.
Didn't have any Pal Spheres on me at the time, and the pals at my base slaughtered them before I could make any more. Rip.
Same.
Plenty of human raids, a couple wild pals raid including the exploding birds, and one lovander raid.
Got myself two of those.
I had only 1 raid as well and managed to capture a female one while my pals were busy murdering the other lovander lmao
It's random, so far in 25 hours I've had 2
Just look up where to find them in the paldeck
You saw one so now your paldeck can show you spawn locations
Is there any actual use for captured humans?
Sell them to the black market slave/pal merchant.
humans ai can only produce so if you win the lotto and they roll bullshit work traits they are the best at line production.
They only have handicraft as a skill so I like to keep one around to craft stuff when my palomons get distracted picking up and dropping wood over and over.
Sell them to the Lovander village.
well if you cap a merchant you can just buy stuff at base instead of having to go to them
If you catch a good combat human like minigun giga homie I heard they shoot their guns while being base pets
otherwise merchants are good pets because they craft only and sell/buy wares or pals
I caught the one with the giant minigun. Total waste of time. I'll have to test later if he uses it while being a base pet, but at least when it comes to using him as a pal, he won't use his gun, he just uses a gay ass melee attack that does no damage that I didnt even know he had.
yes, they will do melee as pets but they seem to shoot as base pets, flamethrower homie at least didn't spam punch
these are the best pals, no other pal works this hard.
What's the best food in terms of weight/nutrition ratio? I want to make something in bulk to take with me on expeditions without it also weighting a frick ton.
>dropping items just puts in below you so you instantly pick it back up
yeah great when you cant even move
You have to pick items you've dropped back up manually by pressing F so it's easy to know you're bullshitting. Pals also seem like they won't interact with items you've dropped in this manner.
oh yeah i have a flopie
can i run this game with a 1080ti?
yes
my base's view, and also apparently I need to butcher a slacker lamball
>take it to the palbox!
Noobie trap. Just take it in and out, have another pal rescue and it'll be back in action much faster after a short rest.
>devs said that pvp won't be Rust base raiding
It's over...
imagine stealing someone's pals and selling them or butchering them
IMAGINE capturing another player and selling them
good, Rust is literally unplayable nowadays with their tryhard hoarder and grifters
I want to burn down bases with by bro reptyro eat/enslave other player's waifumons...
I think it is basically how many 'units' a pal can move at once.
my Transport lv 2 pals still only carry 1 unit at a time I've checked
It's not, level 1 can mine stone, level 2 paldonium or whatever it's called, 3 ore and coal and shit
you don't need level 3 mining to mine ore you lying sack of shit level 1 can mine paldium fine
That's just the mining skill. All jobs have levels.
I use the fire drake guys. Transport 3 seems to get the job done.
yeah, I switched over to those, thankie
transporter pals seem a bit broken, they don't like stacking things very much so it might just be that they can't sense a box with empty slots that they can dump their stuff in even though they could have added it to a stack in the boxes you have already
YOU WILL NEVER BE A WOMAN!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I set all my word settings to the easiest shit and it was more fun than slogging away and wasting hours doing the exact same tasks but for less materials and xp. You are cucking yourself if you don't do this, why would you wait for an egg to hatch when there is an option to hatch it instantly?
Is quartz used for something important? I found one vein at one point but I haven't unlocked any recipes that uses it
Circuit board for lv 35+ craft like robotic production bench. You need a ton so stock up
>Circuit board
is this going to be regular use like to craft higher level pal spheres and such similar to ore or is it a gather once -> craft benches/weapons/armor and forget about it kind of thing? because frick pal fluids
It's used for electric appliances so once and done. Heater/Cooler/Fridge/Light you may need multiple so there're those.
Are there any good spots for it in later areas? Haven't been around the outer edges of the map too much but like I mentioned I haven't found more than one vein
there's a bunch around the astral mountains and the beach below it
Good to know, cheers
So is every dungeon the same cave with its rooms rearranged? Is there no other dungeon room set?
Seems that way so far
for super early game vixy is pretty nice in a ranch, she drops palspheres
Is there any reason to use Neutral moves since they are not strong against anything?
For power/ct
I don't know if there is stab in this game but that might be another reason
Passive skills can boost them. And I'm guessing the frick-off hyper beam clone is neutral typed.
>I'm guessing the frick-off hyper beam clone is neutral typed
There's one for every type I think
So far on rare pals I've seen grass, normal, water and dark.
You can check the learnsets of pals and they normally learn something like it at level 50
Wtf is that build
>pvp gets added
>catch another player
>now you can access their box
>they can never attack or try to catch you again
>access their box
Password protected, b***h. Not your keys not your ingots
Anon what does the word "box" mean in the context of Pokemon and Palworld
Are you talking about the dex but getting 2 of the 3 letters wrong
Have you never played a pomemon game? If so I envy you.
nta but the only pokemon game i played was pokemon snap.
Your box is where you store your monsters
I wish there was more armor customization or something. I want to wear armor made out of pals. Also reminder to capture the bosses now before they patch it out.
>before they patch it out
Will they?
It's obviously not intentional since they retain their health and Zoe stops making cute noises and the way you capture them abuses a bug in enemy AI regarding aggression, I think. They don't retain all their attacks and basically become regular boss-type variants of the pal they have. Although, if they do make an intentional way to capture bosses, that'd be cool too.
>catching the boss catches the trainer too
kek
When I get my third base, I'm going to fill it with just bosses. Ideally, multiple copies of Zoe, then I'm going to breed Zoes. For people who've bred pals, if you breed two of the same type, do they make the same type of pal?
>Captured bosses
THE FRICK?
There's already save edit. Worst case you can just do that instead
The dev team has to be actually moronic if they drop this like they did with Craftopia
Have you read the interview? They're moronic and likely won't fix shit since they don't know what they're doing.
They could learn, or they could get bought out by a major studio and still wont fix shit.
>they could get bought out by a major studio
nightmare scenario, please don't say this
After a lengthy trial, Pocket Pair Inc. has been acquired by The Pokemon Company.
Game Freak closes, staff reassigned to Pocket Pair.
Pocket Pair renamed to Freaky Pocket Monsters
Can we take a moment to pause and reflect
The BALLS on these lads to make this game and have their studio name be Pocket Pair
>Porting into gobfin waypoint only to get gangbanged by nine of them
I like their design but goddamn are they they biggest dicksuckers I've encountered
Thankfully there's quite a bit more effigies in the world than the requirement to max out catch power.
This product is not worth buying in its current state.
>pvp
>get palsphere thrown at me
>captured
>spend the rest of the game stuck in his sphere
>never uses me
>have to find new server
fricking butthole
Do the devs actually intend on fixing anything? It's been 6 days without a single update or bug fix yet they won't stop posting on their Twitter.
They have over 100k feedback to sift through test and fix
Since this thread probably contains most game discussion i have few questions:
What country made palworld?
What is the gameplay about (is it Factorio like autism, or Catching pals like pokekman)
What do i need to play with friends
Is online good (will i start getting desync errors every 5 mins like in civ 5)
How deep is rimworld hole is? ( i know that pals are basically your slaves, but can you skin enemy pal and use its fur to make a cool hat)
How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Dont care about "they stole from pokekman" drama. Thanks for answers
>What country made palworld?
Israel.
JP
>What is the gameplay about (is it Factorio like autism, or Catching pals like pokekman)
Not that deep
>How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Not that good.
Currently its not Factorio autism levels because you cannot set crafts to infinite and Pals can't take items from most production buildings
>What do i need to play with friends
4 player co-op is local host, preferably by someone with a good PC
32 man Dedicated servers are/will be a thing when they get it working again.
>Is online good (will i start getting desync errors every 5 mins like in civ 5)
Online, when it was working, was fine
>How deep is rimworld hole is? ( i know that pals are basically your slaves, but can you skin enemy pal and use its fur to make a cool hat)
There are some special crafts that use Pal parts, like feathers or fur, but its not psycho levels
Psycho levels is the Butcher tool, used to DELETE your Pals forever, can also be used on
>How good is equipment autism (the more stats the better for me)
Very Basic, some Pals drop weapons but the best gear is blueprints from chests for higher tiers of stuff you can normally make.
>How good is equipemnt autism (the more stats the better for me)
Fairly linear but dungeon boss treasure chests can give significantly superior versions of base recipes
wait what??
Put that motherfricker to work
hes not in my palbox
i got pranked...
is he in your party?
nope, i checked everything
i dont have him
He should be in your box or in your party, I've got a merchant assigned to my base
>capturing a human is inhumane
is capturing a pal inpale?
From what I heard, you can put a pal and human into the breeding pen. The human gets debuffed, but that debuff turns into a buff after a while as the post-nut clarity wears off Haven't gotten to test it myself.
>humans have no gender
are they the real dittos of the game? immensely based if true
She was just hungry.
>Even saw the overworld boss variant of Anubis, leave her spawn area to take a hunk of flesh from some dead activists
this happened to me too, it ate a whole squad of syndicate mooks
also saw a direhowl pack do the same thing
I found a guy who got isekai'd and he gave me a free slice of pizza, wtf?
>two shinies next to each other
frick yeah
remember to build your base near ore chunk cluster anon
How do you transport that much ore between bases? Using mounts to get to the fast travel point?
>make base on ore deposit
>put pals with high mining or cool mining special abilities to speed up process, like the turtle dudes
>put chest near nodes, then put another chest near your main base travel point
>pull yourself around with grappling hook
>drop off ore at first base's chest next to travel point
Simple as
Ah I haven't bothered with grappling hook. I see the use now.
I dont I have 1
I literally cannot wait for the modding scene to pop off. Going to have zoe breed with direhowls for the rest of her life
I want Anubis so bad but I’m only lvl 30
ffs, got a stone pit next to a couple of iron deposits and the pals ignore the iron and only mine stone.
You should have a separate base for mining ore, if it's the only mineral and your pals are mining lv2 they'll just get ore all day
I just tried the game. The survival crafting slop mechanics is too much for me, I tried to like it but it just wasn't for me. Have fun lads.
Good on you for having an informed opinion anon.
I have no idea how this game is managing to keep my attention, I usually hate these survival crafting mechanics.
Oh well.
Thanks mango.
Godspeed on your game search.
>almost exclusively female avatars
>posing ""cute"" poses or with ""cute"" pokemon
>flocking to fotm streamer bait
yeah I'm thinking it's troony hours in here
>almost exclusively female avatars
It's not like you can make a gigachad so your options are either Ethiopian, Oblivion abomination or a cute girl.
You will never be a type 2
reminds me Dota bullshit for some reason
>company had 10+ years to copyright name and make it in standalone powerhouse
>does nothing
>rival company emerges and copyrights name and makes it in standalone powerhouse
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LAWSUIT!
You ARE giving your pals nicknames, right?
maybe
Captured Zoe & Grizzbolt's can be put in the breeding pen btw. Fun game.
Where can I find coal?
269, 214 and 292, 240 are coal bases
>torrent game to try it
>first random name
OY VEY
Isn't that due to the steam emulator's profile name?
It is, anon is just a moron.
What do you guys want for PvP?
Random gank squads pvp everywhere or 1 vs 1 (or other "organized" formats) in some kind of arena? Like Pokemon PvP?
The latter would be very cool I think.
I don't even care about the pvp. The thought of jank-ass pals doing real time combat doesn't really appeal to me.
How many random events have you seen around?
I've come across
>Two Elephant frickers having a fight
>A pack of Wolves beating the shit out of an Ice Hedgehog
>A huge group of cultists having a fight with a lvl 50 shiny Pal
>Two Elephant frickers having a figh
I waited for them to finish fighting and captured the survivor.
Well, at least now he knows.
>gameplay thread
>two webms
>one got lags
>one shows moronic fathfinding
Everytime.
Fine have some webms
anyone found a good spot with ore AND coal yet? And preferably some sulphur? At least on the volcano I mostly find only ore or only coal spots, best I've found was 4 coal 1 ore near the beach of everlasting summer but it has somewhat shitty terrain
Right, so I'm getting into the next tier of crafting lads, the one after ore. Where is my last and final base gonna go?
Iron farming base finally up and operational
What's the absolute bare minimum I have to do to catch a Menasting? Me and a buddy tried to catch the boss one but our balls weren't strong enough even when it was weakened.
WIXEN GANG OVER HERE FRICK KATRESS
My wife, I love her. You can have your Zoe losers.
its because most of us haven't seen this chick yet lmao
this is literally my first time seeing her
feet
>doesn't even need a sphere to control her pal
she's too powerful
Her model is available.
give me an hour
Holy
MY WIFE'S PRECIOUS FEET NOOOO! SHE WILL PAY FOR HER TRANSGRESSIONS
>saw a clip of hoe-girlve fighting her
>they immediately went "oh she'll get a lot of fanart"
they know what they're doing, both with the sexmons and the sex trainers
i want to LICK her armpits
licky lick!
*lick lick lick*
RERORERORERORERORERORERO
MUST BREED
Do pals evolve and when
No, but you can fuse them and get the variants.
Is that good?
No idea, I just got access to it.
What are your specs?
doesn't matter, i have it on lowest settings and its still choppy as hell. only playing it because it was free and i'm out of town for a few days, although I am having fun, I like base building games. If it ever comes out on ps5 i might drop 20 bucks on it
>doesn't matter
It does.
People are playing it on the SteamDeck with better performance than you somehow.
Saw a webm of that day 1. Had completely forgot about that until now.
Should Katress and Wixen have a special breeding interaction Y/N?
So will there be mods that add a lot of custom pals in the future?
Yes I am the head of modding and can confirm.
I'm genuinely surprised this game has not crashed a single time for me and has maintained a steady frame rate despite my potato PC
how did they do it
If you ask /vp/ it's because AI writes better code than humans
If you want to be realistic about it it's because a bunch of people spent like 3+ years on this shit
>want to build a nice house
>game runs so fricking poorly on my potato rig that i can't even put a roof on
Can I have sex in pal world?
I love this little homie like you wouldn’t believe
he based. right now my main one is fricking the fire horse to maybe make a dark fire horse baby, we'll see.
That's nice for early exploration I guess but you can just use the grappling gun once you get a bit further into the game
Grappling hook becomes even more redundant the better your flying mount becomes. Still has its uses though (pulling yourself from base to base while encumbered)
How is he so fast?
He has a 2 speed buff iirc, so it's 20% faster. I don't know if that's really a significant difference.
Beakon and Ragnahawk are just fast by default
Yeah but even a fast flier is slower than the hook so I still keep it on me
is free range flight allowed? or is it one of those gay systems where the game says "you can only be this amount of pixels above relative to the surface below you?"
There's a webm of someone launching the first field boss with it
Trying to make stairs but it doesn't cooperate with natural cliffs. What magic is needed to make an easy ramp?
maybe make the foundations higher off the ground
You can stack benches to make stairs
Would a desert base hatch eggs faster? I have 2 good bases for iron and coal. But they're in pretty tight spots, I wouldn't mind a big open base.
Yeah I heard the heat biomes help with eggs
Ice eggs don't want heat, I have my hatchery in a neutral location. I just put a heater near my eggs and if I'm hatching normal eggs I bring a fire pal to use the heater to warm them up and if I'm hatching ice eggs I don't use the heater.
Can someone share a screenshot of the game where it doesn't ugly? I wanna play it but I hate the art style
It's a jank indie game cobbled together out of mostly store bought assets, you're not playing for the graphics.
As a weeb I would hope a Japanese game would have more SOVL
?
>An entire thread of Anon actually fricking playing the game, and sharing their experiences/advice with one another.
This was nice. Shame these threads can't always be like this.
Would you?
>implying (You) wouldn't
They've been here all along, anon.
Just keep watch for the "palworld gameplay" threads.
troony game
But enough about Scarlet and Violet
>can get pal crystals from crushing rocks
>no way to get iron ore
Thanks, bros. All i've been doing for hours now is gliding and sliding across the map, mining iron to make palballs.
You're supposed to use slave labor like what people do in real life, anon. Look to the Congos for inspiration on how to maximize production of raw materials.
Make your 2nd base at a ore deposit
>ore AND coal
Automatic refined ingot production, here I come
That terrain will be a big problem in pathfinding
Only if you use non-flying Pals
The Tombat + Killamari combo hasn't let me down so far
Didn't even realize there was above-ground coal. FRICK.
There's also above-ground sulfur
But you need so little of that, there's not much sense in automating that

Post the location, I've been wondering where to put my 3rd base.
I'm currently working there. I'm not sure if it's the terrain working against it or just bad pathfinding or if I'm just bad at bases. I made a castle on the middle hill and my fricking digging turtles just spin around the walls like they are trying to destroy it lol
Look at this cool motherfricker
By the way, did you guys know that you can build stuff without needing to place a Palbox first?
Just had my first death
Somehow I started attacking while in a shop menu, hit the merchant and got the cops on me
How do you get rid of wanted levels?
Die
just sit in some spot where they can't reach you, they will despawn after some time
