It would cost hundreds of dollars to buy all the DLCs for any Paradox game. It's not feasible for anybody to pay that price all at once. Basically the only way you can do it if you aren't rich is if you buy each game and DLC as they come out so its more manageable. But if you try getting into the game when it's old, or you take a break and miss out on a few DLCs, the cost to get into it is insurmountable.

true, in addition their DLCs got worse and aren't worth the money. still I don't think there's a way to reduce the price of older DLCs, without basically giving them away for free, just to make buying the whole thing "feasible". it's not compatible with their DLC model

All of the Paradox games with a lot of DLC aren't worth playing (except for CK2). The important DLCs are like $80 on sale and the base game is free. If that's too much though it really easy to pirate the dlc.
