Paradox doubles price of Crusader Kings 3 DLC

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/ck3-changes-to-flavor-pack-pricing.1538700/

>As of September 13, we will be altering the prices of our Flavor Packs (Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia) to reflect the overall value of this kind of content moving forward. This means that the current price point of these two products will increase from 6.99 USD to 12.99 USD.

Yes, they make content I like.
And DLC priced as 2 coffees won't make a huge impact on my spending money since I'm not poor or underage.

If you aren't underage, why are you not grasping the basic concept of being fricked over on pricetag? It doesn't matter if you can easily afford it.
Sometimes I wonder what did I miss that there is an entire generation of people right now that see absolutely nothing wrong with burning their money. I can't think of any real reason behind it, and yet here we are, with specimen like you. "Oh, it's only X, so it's still ok", rather than asking why are you being milked like a fricking cow.

This is a pretty good basegame though, idk if another pdx game had that much content on release. It’s just that they left it in hibernation for so long and their shitty dlc policy in general forcing people to pay hundreds of dollars for an enjoyable experience. However, I didn’t buy a dlc for it and I don’t plan to but the base game was worth its money in my opinion even though I didn't like multiple things about it

Anon, you realise that warhammer is predominately a battle mini game... right? Meaning consooming is the default activity of the hobby.
          Also, consider this:
Buying TW: WF2 is WAAAAAY fricking cheaper than assembling your own army sufficient to play with it, while offering you ability to play as any faction of your choice (Fantasy being discontinued and replaced with Age of Sigmar notwithstanding). So from the point of view of WF fandom, TW games are incredibly cheap for what they are offering.

              Anonymous

And like I've said, from the perspective of doing anything with Warhammer, buying TW:W2 with all DLCs is immensely cheaper than buying minis, while offering you a comfort of playing with them online.
The real joke is that Games Workshop made a deal for first TW:Warhammer game and soon after discontinued Fantasy line, because it was a financial drain for them and not exactly profitable. Thanks to TW, popularity of Warhammer exploded, and they got caught with their pants down, because they've already withdrew the minis and launched a replacement for them, while new customers came and kept asking about Warhammer Fantasy and the stuff they were familiar through the game.
So in the end of the day, it's a loss for pretty much everyone, but nobody lost as much as TW fandom, since they will be forever coping over it.

I'm a "paradrone" and this is actually a really easy decision to defend. If you were to go buy a piece of chicken you can eat it just with cooking it.
Now lets say you want flavor.
You can go purchase additional spices or sauces (all of which have gone up in price).
You wouldn't expect a grocery store to give you spices for free would you?
Spices and sauces have all gone up in price. Flavor is at a premium now and thats just the economy.
You losers can eat your plain chicken meanwhile I'll be purchasing all the expansions and going to flavortown.

you've been tasting paradox's secret sauces for too long paying too little. Now comes time when you will pay them appropriately.
You're lucky paradox doesn't charge you $30 for their DLCs just for your negative attitude. We should be grateful they even make DLC. They could be doing plenty of other things like relaxing at home or fixing bugs.

People are bit upset now but it will fade.
PDX has a monopoly, so what are you gonna? These people are not gonna pirate, otherwise, they already would have, they are not going to stop playing because sunk fall, but they have to have the newest flavor pack.
I do think they eventually lose their monopoly, thus far the grand strategy has been a small pond, so nobody hasn't seen it has a worthwhile gamble. But this level price tier, will signal to everybody that despite the smallness of the pond, the fish in it are so moronic that they jump into your fishing bucket.
Competition would actually be good, the problem with monopolies is that prices will go sky high, while quality plummets. If there would have to work harder and cut prices.

CK2 had like four expansions by now, maybe instead of increasing prices THEY COULD MAKE MORE DLC? MAYBE SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE EXPENSIVE ASSETS OR GRAPHICS AND INCREASES THE STRATEGY AND COMPLEXITY OF THE GAME?

nonsense! I want a 3D village DLC where there is a ton of potential for interesting gameplay mechanics but instead it revolves around putting random items in a village to give it 2% bonuses.
