Paragon's spiritual successor, Predecessor, is launching in a week from now. Any fans of Paragon still around? I think Omeda is going to be able to take this pretty far especially since they got funding from Epic

quitting Smite for it.
just play league of legends dude
3rd person > top down
League doesn't have actual graphics, no thanks.
>just play this shitty game thats nothing like it
Why do people that play shitty games always try to shill for it
predecessor IS paragon in all but name right?
Essentially. They got $22 million from Epic Games to fund it, and also all the assets (which are completely public and free on Unreal engine), there are also some Paragon leads and esports players who are now on the Predecessor team, and their goal is to make it the spiritual successor so gameplay should be similar to Paragon (without the stupid card system). Overprime on the other hand is still a MOBA with the Paragon assets but made by an Asian company and their gameplay flow is much faster pace, kind of like a battle arena type deal.
boomp
>$10 for Early Access
so do they purposely want to fail?
Overprime's EA will be free at launch.
>mfw paying $40 for an exclusive muriel skin
oh the things I do for my mains
>no deck
To the trash it goes
Wtf is the difference between predecessor and overpriced? Why release 2 games?
Different studios, Overprime is made by Asians and will be a faster paced battle arena type game whilst Predecessor is made by anglos and trying to emulate Paragon as much as possible
>not f2p
This shit is dead before it releases.
The initial legacy card system was something different, although flawed. Instead they are making basically the same itemization as LOL. The game is still a esthetically pleasing, but adds nothing fresh to the genre. Yeah, you have to kinda aim, but nothing else stands out. I might play just a bit, but it's gonna get boring quickly. It's gonna die like any other scuffed moba.
if it isn't a battle royale I'll probably give it a try
oh wait it's a 5v5 moba nevermind
Dead on arrival
.
How can a successor be a predecessor
ask ffx-2
it's supposed to be a prequel lore wise
wait so you're telling me this is a literal asset flip and people are buying into it? ahahahahahah
idgi why arent there more tps mobas?
seems like it combines shooters with moba... normies would get addicted to this if done right
LoL 2 should be TPS
>seems like it combines shooters with moba
So like SMITE
but better
Better? How? Is the same generic moba that adds nothing new to the table
I am more interested in overprime, I had a lot more fun with the EA lsat week.
Paragon was more fun than I was expecting, but its main issue was being slow as frick, and also the stupid card system. I'm also concerned that the assets being free/cheap on UE are gonna make it feel super generic.
I miss Gigantic.
It was a HUGE oversight to release the paragon assets if they ever wanted to bring it back. Normies are not going to give a shit about the "why" and are just going to lose interest when they get confused why theres 2 almost identical games.
only one will prevail in the long run
Nice, played the beta test or whatever it was and had a lot of fun. Hoping it gets a good amount of players so I can ditch the piece of shit that is League.
i learned enough mobas to learn that theyre not worth learning because matchmaking is rigged for addiction, not quality these days. how is this one different?
