I know. I was at roughly 260 mods, I'm gonna try to get it down to 200 (most packs are a bit below 200) . But I forgot how much stronger my pc is compared to the average Gankeran user, when I sent it out originally, nobody could easily run the pack, so I'm yanking stuff out until I start getting acceptable performance.
We've done multiple large and small mod packs and each one equally fricks the server in some way. Its impossible to test for every little interaction but seeing how badly the server holds together is part of the fun. BTA was probably the smallest pack we ever ran and the server ran like shit most of the time because it had a major memory leak (nothing we could do) and all the settings for it were locked down hard so we couldnt even give it more memory to delay the crash which ultimately corrupted the world and the backups the night before the final day. 200+ mods sounds like a lot for minecraft until you find out maybe less than 30 of them actually add anything.

For some reason, I think either my PC, ISP, or the game itself is preventing me from permanently downloading files from the server which means I have to manually download them from the madhammer site. I don't think I faced this problem on other servers. Anyway to fix this?
Verify files if you can
If I verify the files, the download folder won't get deleted right
you shouldn't. TF2 sometimes can't handle a ton of maps on top of it, atleast for me. back them up if you can.
Question, say if I can't also download stuff from other servers. What does that mean? Is there a config in the TF2 folder I have to modify? Ensure the entire folder isn't a read-only file?
