nah the DualSense is the best controller I've ever used. I don't even have a PlayStation I just bought it for my PC. Never liked the asymmetry of the Xbox controllers
The dpad was always fricking shit and I hated that battery tumor but damn those frickers were basically invincible. I haven't had a controller that lasted this long without shit like randomly dying or stick drift or whatever in about two decades. Meanwhile I'm on my third or fourth SeX controller in two years and that's only because everyone is selling 2-3 year warranties for €5 with them nowadays.
This. My 360 controller lasted for a fricking million years and my brother still uses his for his PC to this very day. Shit was built to fricking last back in the day.
For me, it's the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. I like the bigger ABXY buttons, and I always hated analog triggers. The d-pad tends to input up or down when you press left or right, but this can be easily fixed with Steam Input... or tape.
Too bad mine started drifting after three months... t-thanks Nintendo.
But after getting a Steam Deck, I'm starting to like touchpads. I hope Valve makes a Steam Controller 2 at some point.
As I said, it didn't bother me as much because with Steam Input you can disable diagonal inputs. This wouldn't work for fighting games, but for the games I play the issue was effectively fixed.
But my left analog stick started drifting after 200 hours of use...
i'm gonna be 100% honest, its a good controller but a knockoff rockcandy i bought like 6 years ago beats it for me because its only wired, has no battery bulge and just works with my PC
Anyone that says this automatically outs themselves as a pleb. No, Dualshock isn't any better, but the 360 controller had the worst fricking deadzone of any controller in history. It was fricking atrocious. The Original Duke and OG small were a million times better.

As an actual idort that has owned over a dozen different controllers, the PS4 controller is objectively the best
It really annoys me when people clearly only had one or two consoles in their lives talk about “best evurr”
it's so close to perfection but sony had to be moronic
I'd rather just use my old playstation pads than use the DS4
the battery life on the DS4 is garbage
>all the best parts of a dualshock+analog gates >so analog sticks are trash in anything but gamecube games >no analog triggers so you cannot even play gamecube games
why did they do this just why?
Yeah frick the LEDs too. Especially on the dualshocks. They need to fricking fire whoever keeps pushing that shit. I get that they want motion tracking for their camera, but but it's such a niche fricking thing and we all have to suffer for it. At least MS restricts it to their gay little logo.
I wish I could say nintendo sits in the golden middle, but their controllers right now are low quality shit, full stop. Not even debating it. Joycon is fricking disgusting and the pro is like 2 generations behind on ergonomics.
The xbox controller is the worst thing to happen to video game peripherals.
We have been stifled for over twenty years with a forced lack of innovation all thanks to the XInput "standard"
I am sick of wireless controllers being the norm now
The wireless agenda is trying to remove all wired appliances and replace them with wireless
They're coming for your mouse next
It's good. The shape is better than the ds4, the buttons feel very nice. The only downsides for me are how heavy it is, the shitty dpad and the lack of back paddles
Why is it half white and half black?
Why is there more white than black?
WHY IS THE WHITE OVERTAKING THE BLACK?
THE WHITE IS LITERALLY DOMINATING THE BLACK
just give me buttons that don't stick and thumbsticks with hall effect that won't die in half a year or less jesus fricking christ who gives a frick about mobile app features
just give me buttons that don't stick and thumbsticks with hall effect that won't die in half a year or less jesus fricking christ who gives a frick about mobile app features
we all want our cake and to eat it to but reality is you don't really have much choice
you can buy whatever third party controller that advertises it but you cannot get past the bullshit features of certain consoles
either way you're stuck between a rock and old used up controllers
>but you cannot get past the bullshit features of certain consoles
One adapter later and I can use my third party with shit they don't want it to be used with, or alternatively I just say frick the consoles and stick to PC. But this wasn't about lock out, it was about how Xbox and Playstation emphasize gimmicks over quality solely to upsell you on more $60-70 controllers.
Don't even get me started on those fricking Elites. "High quality materials" my fricking ass.
Adapters are useful but you missed the entire point
trying to emulate playstation consoles is a nightmare and xbox is impossible it seems
and nintendo shit works but the controllers change every time
it just seems absurd
Xbox one controller
PlayStation 5 D-pad
Upper left stick for 3D games
Lower left stick for 2D games
Gyro so the gyro gays will shut the frick up about it
In built mic
Every controller comes with a rechargable battery pack but you have the option to put batteries in if you want
imagine the infinite rage if sony makes another controller like this the next playstation and just removes features and adds some utter nonsense again liek a touch pad and led but worse
my (wired) Xbox 360 controller still works fine TODAY. I've had like 4 Xbox one controllers break do to stick drift or other issues, hell I remember several years ago I got TWO broken Xbox one controllers in one week both brand new out of the box, the bumpers were falling out literally the moment I took them out of the packaging.
The turn on controller on movement is a nice feature because when I'm watching stuff it turns off every 5 minutes and there's no way to change that. It is very annoying
Controllers peaked right here.
The D-Pad is abysmal
hard disagree
however... a hybrid of it and the latest controller would be perfection for xbox layout
but otherwise I still love playstation controllers since they work for pretty much anything
gamecube mogs it
Woops wrong image.
Fixed it.
WHAT THE FRICK IT'S A BOOMERANG
pretty cool
>every single nintendo console needs a third party 3D printed handle to play
They were made for small, nimble, kid hands. Not my arthiritc old man mittens.
Just buy a 8bitdo or a used DS4

The Dpad is utter shit. No USB charging without a proprietary connector. Proprietary wireless.'
Bluetooth is a good thing as long as you have wired as an option. Gyro is also a good thing.
This would be my favorite controller of all time if they just fixed the fricking D pad.
As I said, it didn't bother me as much because with Steam Input you can disable diagonal inputs. This wouldn't work for fighting games, but for the games I play the issue was effectively fixed.

Wish you could still find brand spanking new genuine ones, had to retire my wired 360 and I fricking hate nu-xbox controllers
DS4 is massive improvement compared to x360. Literally every aspect of it feels better to use.
I like the ps4 controllers more than my PS5 ones, PS4s unironically feel better put together.
I don’t have dualsense but switch to glossy plastic for buttons alone is already a downgrade from DS4
This lil homie even LOOKS nice to hold. Draws you in
Anyone that says this automatically outs themselves as a pleb. No, Dualshock isn't any better, but the 360 controller had the worst fricking deadzone of any controller in history. It was fricking atrocious. The Original Duke and OG small were a million times better.

It really annoys me when people clearly only had one or two consoles in their lives talk about “best evurr”
The select and start buttons are annoying to use but yeah it's alright
I hate the ps4 controller for that dumb ugly memepad in the middle and its annoying blue light tbqhwy
You can change the light color.
Your opinion is shit and you're a homosexual and a Black person
it's so close to perfection but sony had to be moronic
I'd rather just use my old playstation pads than use the DS4
the battery life on the DS4 is garbage
it's too small for my gigachad hands, otherwise yes.
Enter
>all the best parts of a dualshock+analog gates
>so analog sticks are trash in anything but gamecube games
>no analog triggers so you cannot even play gamecube games
why did they do this just why?
I really wish companies would fricking quit putting speakers on the controllers. I don't know a single motherfricker who doesn't mute that shit.
>Lift to wake
Annoying as frick.
the real annoying shit is the bright as frick leds
the speakers are fine since it's optional
Yeah frick the LEDs too. Especially on the dualshocks. They need to fricking fire whoever keeps pushing that shit. I get that they want motion tracking for their camera, but but it's such a niche fricking thing and we all have to suffer for it. At least MS restricts it to their gay little logo.

The wireless agenda is trying to remove all wired appliances and replace them with wireless
They're coming for your mouse next
frick them over by using wireless controllers wired
It looks like it was dipped in a vat
value added tax?
This MFer is the best thing ever for 2d games. Actually better than legit Saturn controller.
Plus the cost isn't a ball buster to your bank account either.
>they're even making controllers with vitiligo now
the input lag will still be worse than a ds4/ds5. even worse on the console itself
Why hasn't a company made a dildo joystick yet? You could control the game with the tilt of your body. When you take damage it vibrates.
Eventually we will need extra fingers
>still no gyro
What the frick were they thinking?
>controller with stockings
sexoooo
I hope that with more silent buttons they get a bit more squishy to push. A bit as Nintendo or PS game pads.
I have a panda Elite 2 and I like it but I wish buttons were softer. But apparently most people don't seem to care...
>Still no gyro
Not buying
Eat shit MS
same shit battery as every chinese shit for 2$?
Is the DS5 actually good? It's a bit pricey but I want a Gyro controller for my PC
>actually It's called DualSense
I'm not calling it that
It's this
dogs dont wear pants
#debunked
I'm not gay, sorry. I see things and think of girls not dogs.
The Dualsense is the best controller of all time and I'm not even going to start pretending that it isn't...
I have two of those but I also have two Elite Series 2 controllers, respectfully disagree.
just give me buttons that don't stick and thumbsticks with hall effect that won't die in half a year or less jesus fricking christ who gives a frick about mobile app features
This. No point in a nice controller if it shits the bed in months.
we all want our cake and to eat it to but reality is you don't really have much choice
you can buy whatever third party controller that advertises it but you cannot get past the bullshit features of certain consoles

There. The perfect controller.
Great, more surfaces for my gamer gunk to get stuck in.
>taking a toothpick the the crevices on a controller you've had for 6 months
i feel dirty and satisfied at the same time. i like pimple popping videos so i guess i shouldn't be surprised
For me its dualsense
Today I remind them.
saggy analogue breasts
(Why is the dpad angled like that?)
imagine the infinite rage if sony makes another controller like this the next playstation and just removes features and adds some utter nonsense again liek a touch pad and led but worse
They're adding that gimmicky shit to our controller now. It's over.
>accelerometer for useless lift to wake
>no gyro
just release mandatory kinect and have a nice day for good useless swines
>controller moves slightly
>turns on, activates console, and drains your battery
Heh! It was never personnel kiddo just business
>If a controller wore pants would it wear them like this?
When I walk into a room the pants drop off my xbox controller
No joke, the XSX controller is pretty great, bought one months ago and love it.
>We have the Dual Sense Edge at home
Why does no one make controllers sweaty-palm friendly
Just wear latex gloves, thats what I do. Better grip too
not them but then the gloves get coated so you fixed nothing.
I have a latex fetish so actually it fixes everything
my (wired) Xbox 360 controller still works fine TODAY. I've had like 4 Xbox one controllers break do to stick drift or other issues, hell I remember several years ago I got TWO broken Xbox one controllers in one week both brand new out of the box, the bumpers were falling out literally the moment I took them out of the packaging.
why is everything made so fricking poorly??
I wonder how D-Pad will be for fighting games.
The current controller has the sides too seep, so you can end up easily missing an input.
>no hall effect
is hall effect more durable i don't really care about accuracy too much
Yes, but these aren't hall effect.
it's more accurate and more durable but it's limited to like 3 controllers
>analog not in line with each other
>have to move hand to use dpad as hotkeys
I will always prefer the dualshock.
The turn on controller on movement is a nice feature because when I'm watching stuff it turns off every 5 minutes and there's no way to change that. It is very annoying
