Skip tags were garbage before, but they definitely have to be free now to make them slightly less garbage as they added the additional rental and perishable tags. Imagine using a skip for the opportunity of paying for a rental joker
I know, but going from "shop has x joker" to "shop has x joker for free" is still quite the leap.
Yeah. I'm surprised this made the cut from testing, the less useful skips are now even worse compared to a fricking free Negative joker.

Vampire is probably fine. More enhanced cards added to the game with lucky card buff it also probably never should have worked on un-scored cards
It makes blue seal a million times better. It’s actually good now instead of just giving you 1 dollar.
How the frick do you get 100 million? How and where the frick you do it with what deck? I'm also stuck on gold stake yellow deck forever. Playing on console
steel cards and Xmultipliers
Just spam multipliers
you need repeated mults. few examples:
>level up high card a ton and then have a ton of red stamped steel cards or kings in your hand with baron (1.5x per king in hand) + the joker that repeats hand effects
>level up flush five and then get the joker that gives 1.5x on hearts + the joker that repeats played cards + the joker that increase 1 in 2 to 2 in 2
>get the observatory voucher that gives 1.5x per planet card held and then perkeo to dupe the planet card
you can't get 100 million every run you need specific combos but usually if you get one of the necessary jokers early (baron, the repeater cards, perko, etc.) you can pivot to a 100m hand
they're still never worth it, getting a random joker will never be better than building economy and rerolling the shop

A free negative joker is worth it every single time and rare jokers can be run-winning
a random negative joker is rarely helpful other than being temperance money or a free sell for the boss. so you skip to get 2 niche benefits while missing out on leveling up your jokers (two pair, square joker, etc.), missing out on your in hand effects (gold money, blue seal), missing out on your economy (money jokers, money from beating blind, interest), and missing out on rerolling the shop or opening booster packs both of which have a much higher chance of improving your score than a random negative joker. same goes for a random rare, unless its ante 1 where you can reset anyway it is absolutely not worth going for, i can only assume you're playing on easy decks

I really liked what he did with gold and orange stake, that old system was a huge pain in the ass
straights now are 100% the solution for beating the last 3 challenges, that +1 mull is massive as long as you know how to discard cards efficiently

we don't really know but at least we can place our bets for fun.
Probably new jonkers and 3-4 decks but I highly doubt there's ever going to be any new editions/seals/enhancements
the source code was leaked so the guy should just lay into it and make a workshop that people can upload stuff to
it wasn't leaked, lua just stores the code that you can easily access, people are already making mods
It's not lua, but rather that typically any applications made with love2d are basically just glorified zip files that you can extract. While you could obfuscate the lua source code through various means (running the lua code through an obfuscator, moving some of the game logic to the love.exe itself to make it harder to modify, etc), you'd still have easy access to the files with just a bit of tinkering. However, this wouldn't stop any motivated hacker from figuring things out, so many developers just release their love2d games as-is, and usually just provide some license the code falls under.
If nothing else, having the unobfuscated source code makes it easier to debug, because the error tracebacks will give a better idea of what's going on than what some obfuscated code would.
Yeah I've been playing the patch a lot on the experimental branch and it really improves the game. Gold stake is actually fun now. Release patch feels almost unfinished compared to this.
