i played the game since open beta up to harbinger before losing interest, and only really played betrayal and metamorph after that, which is why i find it hilarious when these new babies that started playing the game after the massive QoL changes that took place throughout the years complain about muh bad drops and not being able to farm endgame gear in the third day.
one of these softcore speedrunner groups was literally farming mavens not even a week (probably even a couple of days i dunno) into the league before they quit because "progression is slow" lmao

Based on what? Diablo2, the pinnacle of the genre had people farming end game content a few hrs into ladder resets. That's where all the fun takes place. Elongation the time it takes to get to interesting content is just padding playtime you maxed morons. If the boss encounters and item hunt aren't enough to keep people engaged and you have to 'starve them' for content, then your game is fundamentally shit.

I talked to people who genuinely detested Harvest and they are not the sort of people you want to take design suggestions from. They are bad at the game, and Harvest would help them reach their goals and yet they detested it anyways.
I really liked harvest's crafting, but I hated having to check every mod and grab stuff from different characters to fully utilize the crafting system in it. Changing it to currency is far better. I want to play a league where only currency drops and you have to buy basetypes from vendors to craft, 99% of drops are filtered out already so we might as well separate the chaos orb from the rare drops and let players use it on the basetypes they need. Getting a rare Rusted Sword in maps is absolutely worthless for its direct use and has no reason to exist.

The old system was shit but the crafts themselves were good. They could perfectly fit the old crafts (minus a couple of ones related to fragments and stuff) into the new system, adjust the amount of life force dropped per groove, and it would have been great.
Instead Chris the cuck just gutted all the relevant crafts, set the life force drop so low you need to farm HUNDREDS if grooves for a single high level draft (that still is shit compared to the old crafts), and sold it as an "improvement". For frick sake, they even dropped the implicit craft on israeliteels, which was a very inoffensive way to round some builds, for no reason at all except to make Harvest even more useless.
The only archnemesis mods I hate are the fricking lightning ones. I'm seriously about to run purity of lightning just so I don't have to deal with those obelisks or lightning remnants.
ssf has a more pure experience since shit like currency per hour isn't as meaningful and small upgrades actually feel more rewarding to get, plus target farming is actually a more relevant thing

Loot is fun. Power is fun. The game is objectively 1000% more fun when both loot and power are easily accessible. It means you're able to run more content, get more loot, and craft more. That's the point of the game. Literally every-fricking-thing in the game revolves around loot being accessible, so any changes that make less loot or make farming it slower means that you're making people spend more time in shitty content scraping for basic scraps, and less time in fun and challenging content doing real shit.
If you think the game is fun because you have to spend a week stuck in white maps because you've not even gotten enough raw map drops to push into Yellows and you ran out of Alchs because none drop, then you literally and factually have a broken brain. Loot is fun. Power is fun. The game is objectively 1000% more fun when both loot and power are easily accessible. It means you're able to run more content, get more loot, and craft more. That's the point of the game. Literally every-fricking-thing in the game revolves around loot being accessible, so any changes that make less loot or make farming it slower means that you're making people spend more time in shitty content scraping for basic scraps, and less time in fun and challenging content doing real shit.
If you think the game is fun because you have to spend a week stuck in white maps because you've not even gotten enough raw map drops to push into Yellows and you ran out of Alchs because none drop, then you literally and factually have a broken brain. Your thoughts and opinions are shit and your existence is a meme.

I do. But 4/5 rares have haste aura. They KNEW people were gonna skip them, so they gave most rares haste aura. So you can't escape.

I stopped playing when they added all the extra stat nodes into the tree so you couldn't reach the important nodes to make your builds viable. I think it was 2 patches ago.

This is actually the worst league this game has ever had. And I mean that as someone who played since beta, back when a whole fricking league was just that they added strongboxes to the game.
