i have like 3k hours in the game, it's a fun game you have a lot of build variety if you want to not use cookie cutter builds, skills are satisfying to use and gearing your character is satisfying,. endgame is there with mapping/bossing/delving/level100 pushing, and a bunch of other shit. don't believe morons that say you don't need a stash tab because they are basically mandatory but other than that the only micro transactions is cosmetic. you will die to bullshit a lot, game has a lot of bullshit one shot mechanics, the optimization is shit, game needs to be on an ssd, sometimes the new leagues can be boring but that's up to you.
Make one super spell using different ability and modifier gems and spam it while using a mobility skill then choose a survivability gimmick. Its fun.
Alright, so I coming off straight from Torchlight 2. I know the reputation for intense character building and stats.
I'm fine with that, as long as I can respect everything whenever easily. Is that possible?
there is currency in this game called regret orbs, you find them and can trade for them for fairly cheap prices so yeah respeccing is very easy, also download path of building, its a great tool to theory craft builds with and keep track of what you're doing
>spend 10 hours figuring out what passive skills, gem links, and gear you will want to prepare for your journey of spamming aoe spell of your choice for the entirety of the time you are playing
No, respecs aren't free, but not impossible either. They use a fairly cheap in game currency per respect point. That's just for passive skills though. Skills are as easy as swapping gems in your gear.
Respeccing is pretty expensive if you aren't already a little bit rich. If you wanna hit the endgame, I'd recommend following a guide to start with. Then again, making your own build and learning could be fun if you're into that. I would still follow a basic guide i.e. what stats to focus on. The most important thing is to prioritise life nodes in the passive tree.
How about you convince me to convince you first, I'm not paid for this
i dont really know what to say my dude
the game is fun
try it for a few minutes, it should click with you really quickly if it's your thing

you can say that about any arpg, that's just how the genre is played
the gameplay in this genre is pretty stale, I agree
it's only fun if you like making a build or looking at drops
now anon don't forget to all plan the mobility skill you'll spam the entire time you are playing

Respeccing is cheap as shit considering once you hit maps you're likely making at least one chaos per map anyway, plus you get free 20 respec points.

actually just play the ys games instead
It's fun if you're severely autistic, which you likely are.
do a little research about the endgame and see if you like it, the story in the Acts is mediocre
the real meat of the game are the endgame systems and whatever mechanics the current league provides
I was playing it yesterday and reached Act 3, I had more fun with this than D3
