Try to contain that and focus on the fact that bolt of justice has no save (besides for the debuffs) combine it with metamagic to increase it's damage and abundant casting so you can spam it

Install combat relief 2, it automatically wins every battle, it's just a matter of taking the time to clear the map so you can explore freely (and if you use toybox you can do that instantly by increasing the world map travelling speed)
I really enjoyed build up and leading my crusade to take forts and such, I felt like I commanded the crusade. A lot of people definitely seem to hate the management stuff though, I think the game would be hollow without building up your legions.
I don’t think it’s inherently bad. But I’m just not feeling like playing it, just wanted to explore and have crpg fun.
So the fact army micro gets in the way left a bad taste. Kingdom Management in 1 was mostly just reading through events and clicking, you didn’t have to pay a lot of mind into it. Just extra buttons.
By being a “better” minigame, Crusading felt more intrusive to me.

This game's original story didn't even have you as the commander so there was no reason to do so other than Owlcat having a boner for giving you positions of authority so they can shoehorn in a minigame
Yakuza series do pace their secondary main-mini-games well enough to it’s a decent pace breaker but they do not impact the main campaign’s progression that much if you don’t like them.

I got one which makes mounted combat ignore AoPs. Now I just cycle charge every motherfricker like it’s Total War.
It might not be optimal but it’s fun to run all over the place or just reposition completely unscathed.
People like to shit on the army battles but the settlement building thing is the most unnecessary thing in the entire game and is just a chore, but my OCD compels me to interact with it. Shouldve been limited to just Drezen and the upgrades more meaningful.
Pathfinder should lean into anime more. It's a much sillier and unga punch maxxing game than DnD. DnD already dominates the "super realistic western concept art medieval fantasy" aesthetic, while Pathfinder desperately is also trying to do the exact same (and failing to capture an audience that isn't just interested in it's mechanics (because it doesn't offer much in aesthetic, lore or setting variety)).

Early Pathfinder had a definite "inspired by anime" vibe, but as 1e progressed and social activism became more and more insane and anime 'problematic', this vibe got scrubbed out slowly until we hit PF2e, which is not only dogshit mechanically (you know the memes about caster supremacy in 3.5e? PF2e is basically that, but with martials,) but has basically scrubbed that obvious weeb influence the franchise used to have out entirely.

Yea I barely remember trouble playing as cavalier. Charge is too busted, especially with a spear. Meanwhile Skald just has to get the first mythic and the game becomes deathball central. But some encounters are blatantly "that DM" autism. The gargoyle encounter with Regil rewards you half a fricking level with how many gargoyles descend to kill like 10 hellknights, it's a miracle the demons are still standing 100 years later.
The only caveat is the pathfinding (heh) is somehow worse than Kingmaker. I could pounce chain charge Amiri easily but in WoTR the game says there’s not a clear line when visually it should be frequently enough it’s noticeable.
Maybe it has something to do with how mount sizes work compared to charging on foot.

The Dwarf Slayer unfortunately is stuck with that -10move racial. You can still use him just fine, but it feels he’s dead weight most trash encounters when it’d be better if everyone in the team could do just a little and end things faster.
There are a lot of little things that would sting a little less in PnP than they do in an electronic game.
There’s also that deceptive “move in formation” button that I don’t know what it does because my mounted character leaves everyone behind.
Even if the whole group was hardcoded to move at the tank’s speed when toggled it would be fine.

Swarm would have worked if there was some progression into it. Swarm, Gold Dragon, and Legend were really missing an act 4 quest or reactivity
What’s lame about Mythic is they add another layer of micromanagement with some perks and how you should delay leveling this or that before this or that.
I know this system is made for number crunching excelmeisters but that takes away the last drop of harmony between building and roleplaying. You’re a complete leveling machine now.

I think I might be using the Griffon guy or my MC as a tank, the based Gnome as a melee dps, the Two-Faces bro as Ranged Dps, the Oracle for Divine Casting and maybe Woljiff as part buffer part rogue (reminds me of olden thief mage days).
Maybe I'll swap the tiefling with a dedicated arcane caster here and there.

I'm melee but I wanted to dip into Sylvan Trickster since I'd heard it mentioned as a good dip. But I'm also using mutagens and the str one gives you a - to my already low int so I'm just wondering if it's worth it at all.
Maybe I'm misremebering but I don't think the DC is based off of your Int and it still lasts at least a round even if they save, I mostly just used it to lower their saves for something else

Are there any arguments for why you shouldn't just build a touch spell character and rape apart the entire game? Owlcat looooooves their super high AC gays everywhere, like the numerian cyborg rape dungeon, but I'm almost thinking they made everyone's touch AC so low pure by mistake. My sword saint can activate touch melee mode for the duelling sword and instantly slay anyone in one burst because my attack roll is like 35 versus their 12 AC.
Granted this is on a pure buff sword saint, i don't use legitimate ranged/melee touch spells much when i can just use prismatic spray or PK/Weird instead.
The entire minmaxxing thing amounts to:
Having a skald or barb for party wide rage/competence bonus
Having a community domain cleric for a big competence boost on bosses
They are the only ones game doesn't give you by default.
You don't even need meme dips, in fact meme dips would harm most of companions.
You don't need to build for crane feats in this game because last stand and mount tanking exists.
Unfair is the "everyone has a horse" difficulty. Though cheesing the shit out of the game with invisibility and entering/leaving combat an leaving the +50 AC babau morons to die to your spells off-screen is fun enough.

It should change automatically when you choose the path or rather at the start of Act 3 I believe, if you got the dragon you obviously already picked it so you should be fine

You can but you literally have to do a specific Tower Shield Specalist build if you're doing heavy armor tank, any class that doesn't get heavy armor training might as well give up any notion of heavy armor tanking.
If you can get STR high enough fast enough it can probably keep pace or surpass pajamas in Act II and III, but archmage combined with all the other bullshit should pull ahead once you start getting into the 5 mythic range and +6 dex and cha/wis gear bonuses

Traditionally it was always easier to play divine casters for necromancers, as they achieve lichdom faster. Arcane casters do get their own strengths however with certain high level arcane spells being horrendously strong.
Should have been the commander of the crusade like in the AP, that way she's not so fricking incompetent and we're spared the crusade management, it's a win-win

Install combat relief 2, it automatically wins every battle, it's just a matter of taking the time to clear the map so you can explore freely (and if you use toybox you can do that instantly by increasing the world map travelling speed)
I really enjoyed build up and leading my crusade to take forts and such, I felt like I commanded the crusade. A lot of people definitely seem to hate the management stuff though, I think the game would be hollow without building up your legions.
I don’t think it’s inherently bad. But I’m just not feeling like playing it, just wanted to explore and have crpg fun.
So the fact army micro gets in the way left a bad taste. Kingdom Management in 1 was mostly just reading through events and clicking, you didn’t have to pay a lot of mind into it. Just extra buttons.
By being a “better” minigame, Crusading felt more intrusive to me.

Pathfinder should lean into anime more. It's a much sillier and unga punch maxxing game than DnD. DnD already dominates the "super realistic western concept art medieval fantasy" aesthetic, while Pathfinder desperately is also trying to do the exact same (and failing to capture an audience that isn't just interested in it's mechanics (because it doesn't offer much in aesthetic, lore or setting variety)).

Yea I barely remember trouble playing as cavalier. Charge is too busted, especially with a spear. Meanwhile Skald just has to get the first mythic and the game becomes deathball central. But some encounters are blatantly "that DM" autism. The gargoyle encounter with Regil rewards you half a fricking level with how many gargoyles descend to kill like 10 hellknights, it's a miracle the demons are still standing 100 years later.
The only caveat is the pathfinding (heh) is somehow worse than Kingmaker. I could pounce chain charge Amiri easily but in WoTR the game says there’s not a clear line when visually it should be frequently enough it’s noticeable.
Maybe it has something to do with how mount sizes work compared to charging on foot.

The Dwarf Slayer unfortunately is stuck with that -10move racial. You can still use him just fine, but it feels he’s dead weight most trash encounters when it’d be better if everyone in the team could do just a little and end things faster.
There are a lot of little things that would sting a little less in PnP than they do in an electronic game.
There’s also that deceptive “move in formation” button that I don’t know what it does because my mounted character leaves everyone behind.
Even if the whole group was hardcoded to move at the tank’s speed when toggled it would be fine.

There was this eyeless prostitute who went runnin after a stone filled with angels gave me super saiyan powers.
Then I got a couple of greyed out options (Angel, Aeon, Trickster) but could only grab mythic hero and a half dozen skill options. I went with the mirror image clover one.
Do I get to choose what will I get later or it's based on choices?
Also, who is good for tanking? I had Valerie last game but nobody fills her role this time around. The gnome uses a two-handed weapon, the paladin isn't very defensive in general. Only the elf waifu with a rapier seems to have high natural AC without constant buffing.

The paladin gets better when they get a horse after a few levels.

I think I might be using the Griffon guy or my MC as a tank, the based Gnome as a melee dps, the Two-Faces bro as Ranged Dps, the Oracle for Divine Casting and maybe Woljiff as part buffer part rogue (reminds me of olden thief mage days).
Maybe I'll swap the tiefling with a dedicated arcane caster here and there.
So far the only companion I found lame is the gay shellyn cleric dude but maybe his quests elevate him? Other than that, it's hard to choose a fixed party as I generally liked everyone.
I'm on my way to retake the second city, so far the mini battles are either a curbstomp or too frustrating, hoping they get better.

Are there any arguments for why you shouldn't just build a touch spell character and rape apart the entire game? Owlcat looooooves their super high AC gays everywhere, like the numerian cyborg rape dungeon, but I'm almost thinking they made everyone's touch AC so low pure by mistake. My sword saint can activate touch melee mode for the duelling sword and instantly slay anyone in one burst because my attack roll is like 35 versus their 12 AC.
Granted this is on a pure buff sword saint, i don't use legitimate ranged/melee touch spells much when i can just use prismatic spray or PK/Weird instead.

You can but you literally have to do a specific Tower Shield Specalist build if you're doing heavy armor tank, any class that doesn't get heavy armor training might as well give up any notion of heavy armor tanking.
Heavy armor avoidance and stack as much STR as you can
Still not as good as monk dip + archmage armor, but it gets the job done
If you can get STR high enough fast enough it can probably keep pace or surpass pajamas in Act II and III, but archmage combined with all the other bullshit should pull ahead once you start getting into the 5 mythic range and +6 dex and cha/wis gear bonuses

Bows aren't that good. As the other anon said instant enemy is a must so she gets all the favored enemy bonuses, level up that 13 STR to 14 and slap a STR belt, improved critical as always, and ranger spells like hurricane bow or sense vitals
give her the scout hide armor and the cloak of shadows you get from Nocti. you should als olvl up her mobility to 20 and get that bow that increases the damage based on your mobility from the skelly merchant.
