It gets worse
would you mind sharing how, without spoilers?
Hope you like gaze attacks.
Just starting WoTR myself. I love the changes to character generation, but the writing seems to have taken a hit. Also dislike how all the party members seem to be gimmicky somehow.
yeah, the writing is the first filter if you have above average IQ and enjoy fantasy. "People in this game, like, talk like thiiis??? And like, it just doesnt have the same feel you know? So you have to take the L on that one"
Yeah, so far I can't think of a single party member I actually like. I want Jaethal back.
Whoever designed the tiny house with the pyromaniac demon deserves a kidney stone, holy frick.
Nah, most characters in WoTR talk like they're regular people at a medieval fair.
is spot on.
>Yeah, so far I can't think of a single party member I actually like. I want Jaethal back.
maybe you should make custom ones then in the end
I don't know how early you are, but there few that aren't like that, though the "so random" fox and Black persondin just get worse.
That demon is a part of a series of 3 or 4 enemies in the city that are too strong for this early into the campaign. They're all in side areas or have difficult-ish checks to be able to fight them. There is an achievement tied to killing all of them.
no one in the game talks like this
dilate
>Just starting WoTR myself. I love the changes to character generation, but the writing seems to have taken a hit. Also dislike how all the party members seem to be gimmicky somehow.
I heard that WoTR has amplified bad writing and amplified good gameplay
Yeah. The better characters are much better than all Kingmaker characters but the worse characters are all much worse. The range of character quality goes from 7 to 5 out of ten to a range of 9 to 2 out of ten.
I heard it's also more pozzed, Linzi tier characters and such, i.e. totally insufferable garbage
I forgive a lot of the bad writing in Kingmaker and WotR because the actual modules were pretty fricking dogshit, too. They improved on Paizo's stuff, so whatever.
It didn't, KMgays just have their usual
>first game has the best writing!
syndrome
Both games are the exact same shit, both good and bad
I thought most of them were pretty good. Greybor and Sosiel were pretty irrelevant, Nenio was a bit too reddit, and Seelah was fricking terrible, but everybody else was decent.
>pragmatism
>lawful evil
paizo's bullshit.
>Slightly problematic situation comes up
>"Better to just fricking kill them"
Yeah he's evil
Midgetgays that can't own up to it are so annoying
but he's not just impartially passing judgment or making tough calls. The game goes out of its way to highlight that he takes active delight in tormenting others or dolling out unnecessarily harsh punishments. Yaker exists as a character just to emphasize this fact.
Except the point is that he is unwilling to make any compromises or give even a small nod towards basic empathy. He's lawful evil through and through, and honestly one of the more nuanced and well-written takes on lawful evil, at that, in that he never once seems like he takes any joy in the suffering he inflicts, no maniacal laughter or glee, just smug self-satisfaction that the job is being done correctly according to his values.
>blind your own fighters
>???
>win
WoTR writing is much better than Kingmaker writing because, unlike Kingmaker, you are not just reacting to random shit that happens around you; instead, in WoTR you are actively working towards a goal, whereas Kingmaker's story is just a series of problems that appear and you must run to solve them. "Oh, a swarm of trolls is fricking with the citizens, go kill them" "An undead cyclops sorcerer kidnapped an entire city, go kill him""A large number of your citizens are exploding into monsters; locate the source of the problem." To structure a plot like that is insane to me, because kingmaker's first act works perfectly fine, because you're actually working towards a goal (defeating the staglord).
I guess? I agree with the reactionary design of Kingmaker that's awful in that you spend literal months doing jack shit because there's nothing to react to. My complain is mainly about dialog. Kingmaker npcs felt more grounded, more fantasy-ish. In WoTR, thus far, most people talk like teenagers on a camelot play writen by their own hands. It doesn't feel natural.
>It doesn't feel natural.
WoTR is chuu2 kino designed for people who outgrew their dark mature phase and want to experience high fantasy fun, stage plays at maximum. The setting isn't grounded by default because your grounded characters are just NPC stomped by a demons on the background. It mixes seriousness and silliness at the same time.
Also game doesn't really prevent you from playing grounded no fun allowed "RPG codex style" character. You can tell everyone to shut up, you can kill you companions, you can enforce the Law (Janny) or be pragmatic Lich and replace all teenagers with muted undead. Lich is very serious and doesn't need shitty teens in his party.
>you can kill you companions
for the most part you can't until near the end of the game
most can be killed in act 3 aka the best act
>Ember can be killed in act 1
>woljiff can be killed in act 3
>regill can be killed in act 2
>seelah can be killed in act 3
>Arue can't be killed because of Desna and flies off to safety
>greybor can be killed in act 3
>Camellia can be killed in act 3
>Lann/wenduag can killed in act 3
i am probably sure you can also kill Nenio when you meet her in act 1 but i never tried so can't comment
No, you can't kill Nenio.
You can ignore her. I think besides killing you can ignore all companions. As I remember of course
>You can ignore her
not really. some companions are just baked into this game main story no matter what and i kinda hate how linear this game is sometimes. still would play it three more times
>not really
Yes really, you can ignore everyone other than the first one you get in the mongrel caves and Greybor who is temporarily forced on you
You'll have to dismiss Sosiel yourself, he's shown down your throat. You'll have to do the Maze with Camellia and the Black person, no way not to include them in your party.
But all in all ignoring characters is extremely crippling to your walkthrough, considering how much exp, unique loot and even abilities you get from them. With no way to get it without having those special snowflakes in your party, of course. The poor writers tried so hard on them!
>OH NO NO NO I HAVE TO TALK WITH SOSIEL AND TELL HIM TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY AFTER HE JOINS? NOOOOOO I DON'T WANNA DO THAT I HATE Black folk I HATE GAY Black folk I DON'T WANNA TALK WITH HIM
Does /vpol/ really?
u ok there buddy?
I still wake myself up in the middle of the night from shouting this in my sleep.
how do you kill seelah?
in the molten scar you can find her aldori friend and if you just pick the evil option when she is in your party you can kill her and her friend
>chuu2
I don't think I've ever seen a more useless number substitution shorthand
Chuunibyo. It's pretty common
It literally saves you one letter versus just writing chuuni
>don't think I've ever seen a more useless number substitution shorthand
thats probably the most chuuni thing to do
WOTR writing is significantly worse in every respect where it matters.
Some pretense of it being more reactive is a fricking lie at that. It doesn't even recognize which part of the alignment axis you're on.
some characters get way better and some better ones are introduced later
regill makes the impossible possible be making a literal joke race seem respectable, even if its actively killing him
Is WoTR fun if I liked Kingmaker, but only mildly enjoyed kingdom building and found the first few acts the best?
>gaze attacks
like, just get blind fight on all your dudes, dude
>railroaded into a build, now THAT's an RPG
After the Pitax episode, buy 50 scrolls of mass heal, 50 scrolls of heal and 50 scrolls of death ward. Also get scrolls for horrid wilting and maybe fiery body. Don't forget summons aswell.
You NEED blind fight and reliable ways to deal with constant swarms
Beware the House at the End of Fun.
I did the whole Kingmaker on true normal difficulty with no gimmicks other than savescums. I had to turn down the difficulty for the last two hours of the game.
WotR I had to turn down the difficulty halfway through. These games are for people that want to play table top in a videogame, there's no way I'm failing at building on a true normal setting on non-boss characters. It's overtuned but you get your CRPG story goodness if you make it easy.
If you don't have Blind Fight or True Sight + Death Ward, then every enemy in the final dungeon will paralyze or level drain you.
There are also shadow mobs that ignore your AC and target your touch AC in melee. So your 80 AC tank? He's fodder tier here because he only has 20 AC.
There are ALSO Swarms that IGNORE your AC and your saves. Every round they touch you, they instantly do between 1-10 points of permanent strength damage that can only be cured with greater restoration or heal. These mobs travel in packs of 5 or more, and they have a SHITTON of health. If 2-3 mobs hit a character in one round, then they're instantly dead, because 0 STR = a Dead character.
ALSO, if you've fricked up companion quests, several of your companions will DIE in this quest with no way to get them out. For example if you haven't done the optimal path for Tristian and Jaethal's questlines, then they will fight to the death. If you haven't given Nok-Nok his confidence, then the big bad will beat him to death. If you haven't helped Ekun overcome his grief, then he will rush ahead and get butchered. Julibos will die if you didn't save his girlfriend. And for Octavia and Regongar , if you've romanced one of them but not the other (i.e. you avoided their threesome route and instead choose just one of them for the romance), then the non romanced one will die sacrificing themself.
Basically, it's entirely possible for literally every companion aside from Valerie and the Tieflings to permanently die.
Holy shit. I had nobody die in that dungeon entirely by coincidence then.
I didn't romance either of the slaves and both survived. I saved the ghost and Jubilost survived.
The only one that died was Linzi and I think that's impossible to prevent because she turns into the book?
I liked Noknok. I found his antics endearing.
>I didn't romance either of the slaves and both survived.
That's fine. The Half Orc / Half Elf only dies if you choose to romance one of them, but not the other.
So if you romance Octavia, but not Regongar, then Regongar will die. And if you romance Regongar, but not Octavia, then Octavia will die. If you romanced neither or both of them, then neither of them will die.
>The only one that died was Linzi and I think that's impossible to prevent because she turns into the book?
yep
Kinda shit you just lose a character like that.
And why would you romance either of the slaves? They're nothing but red flags.
>Julibos will die if you didn't save his girlfriend
All you need to do his complete his questline, heal the gnome apparition, make Jubilost immortal (which gives him a bad ending) it doesn't matter as long as you complete it
Also the twins may not die, but one of them will still leave, as will Amiri
Also, some enemies will auto-roll 20 on their saves to prevent you from exploiting their pitiful reflex saves with something like grease. This is all in the name of fun.
this mechanic of "forcing a success" is also present for legendary actions in 5e
its the most moronic bullshit one could ever come up with. it kills the entire core element of the game
Yeah, but it's not real mechanic in the game, is not stated anywhere and I thought it was a bug until I did the math on how many 20s they rolled in a row and it was in the 10^-12 ballpark, I asked on Ganker and someone told me those enemies in particular, and no other in the entire game, are hard coded to roll a 20.
Im agreeing with you that d20 games should never have an automatic success option, because it ruins the most basic element of rolling the die and dealing with the consequences
There is this in WotR, and I think it's pretty cool, it's exclusive to trickster and you get it pretty late (MR9)
Even as a spell I don't think it should be there. Never something that guarantee a success, that goes against the core element of the game.
automatic 20s for three rounds is honestly pretty tame compared to some of the other bullshit mythic paths can get
The trickster path is all about going against the core elements of the game, I think it fits.
No it doesn't, it should be roll two dice and get the better roll if the theme is about fumbling dice or something like the fatespinner from Complete Arcane. Never an automatic success, this is not what d20 is about.
that's a basic hex already for shamans and witches
*touch of laws you*
>Use touch of law on an enemy
>Cast phantasmal killer
>They can only make the save on a 12 or higher
It makes a bit of sense for legendary actions, since only big scary boss monsters have them, and 5E PCs can dumpster basically anything in a couple turns if they're not mitigated
No it does not make sense, the big scary boss monsters also have to deal with unpredictable results. That is the entire point of D&D games, it is entirely build based on chance for the players and for the dm.
The rule was created in 5e so weak dms can have a pathetic justification for their shit boss surviving a well though attack. Its mostly a ego thing from nu D&D players.
I saw a documentary once about one of those dms but sadly I don't remember the name. The DM was a screeching homosexual dressed as a knight that keep repeating how much of a badass his dungeon was and how no one could beat him. This type of person use the rule of legendary action
The end of time is also the end of fun
This. House at the Edge of Time is definitely the worst dungeon made in a CRPG. The Wild Hunt enemies are stupidly overtuned compared to their TT version. And that part with the Mandragora Swarm is beyond moronic. These frickers can drain 7 str in one turn with no way to resist or counter. Make sure you have someone that can cast Selective Sirocco or prepare to f5-f9 a lot.
Not that I knew at the time but I believe Fiery Body counters the swarms, they wouldn't be able to drain you at least
Just use your wife
Are Kineticists as broken in the TT? Or did Owlcat just homebrew the hell out of them to make them much better?
1e ones? meh. recent 2e one? top tier. ask someone on /pgg/ on /tg/ for a good chart on which element is the best. it's metal and water/spoiler]
I hope you have blind fight on all your characters :^) even if you do it will still suck, just a little elss so
It isn't called The House at the End of Fun for nothing
Imagine fighting the zombie horde in the tomb but your party is perma blind and possibly feared and paralyzed.
I'd blow my brains out
>start game
>immediately met with tons of npcs I can't kill, ignore, or tell to permanently frick off
>keep playing
>soon the entire game is filled with people like this
>reach the very end of the game
>only now am I allowed to role play and do what I want in the last hour of the game
Frick this bethesda tier "rpg."
Black person just get to Olegs and tell them to frick off. I told the sadsack dwarf and the devil b***h to hit the road as soon as I got them
>the devil b***h
Holy fricking shit taste Batman
This.
Especially in Wrath, that backer funded dungeon with the cyber succubus is pure cancer.
fpbp
I was also dumb enough to go into "roguelike" DLCs in both games. And even though it's relatively easy to quit that shit in Kingmaker, it's fricking impossible in WotR, so you're forced to run through the same enemies in the same corridors for like 15 different levels. Dumb Russian homosexuals, that shit was ridiculous.
>worst dungeon
>hasnt even gotten to the end
Oh you poor soul
Yu, if you didn't come prepared with a frickton of camping supplies, you're fricked. It's a boring slug all in all.
Ah yeah, those fricking wild hunts, you can tell the devs got lazy at 50% of the game development, and just plopped down """"hard"""" enemies to extend the game time. This is designing around reviewers, ie. reviewers often only play a small part of the game before deciding to stop and write their reviews, so some devs front load all their development juice into the first half of the game, while the rest becomes afterthought.
what didn't you like about it? The dinner party scene and fight was kino
- it took an awful amount of time out of nowhere
- impossible to resupply on rations aside from those you loot after a while
- a lot of enemy spam, including enemies that will give you negative levels (I ran out of potions and scrolls to cure those)
- impossible to remove death's door either
- too samey for too long
at least the boss encounter was cool although he was a total pushover kek
> impossible to resupply on rations aside from those you loot after a while
Thats one of the things I liked about it honestly
as for spoilers make sure not to fail the companion quest of any of the characters you are using in your main party.
>as for spoilers make sure not to fail the companion quest of any of the characters you are using in your main party.
yeah I've been doing them all
>not House at the End of Time
OH NO NO NO NO NO
DON'T TELL HIM
yeah honestly don't tell me
I might just kill myself right here if I listen to it
just make sure to have blind fight on all of your characters or intentionally blind them and have your alchemist cast echolocation on everyone. make sure you select the feat that allows jubilost to cast self cast spells on other party members
Wait, people don't auto build greater blind fight on their melees?
Game doesn't bother recommending any feat other than weapon focus and power attack.
You don't notice at a certain point that enemies start having concealment more often? And you don't start counterbuilding for it? I can remember a lot of the encounters during bloom had concealment, which is quite a way before house of time.
I honestly enjoyed the house at the end of time and thought it was a cakewalk. Still not sure why people complain about it (except perhaps, bugs).
I build blindfight on all my melees though. Only thing I really hated were owlbears and swarms.
That DLC is better than the entirety of the main campaign. If you haven't finished the main campaign, I'm sorry for your loss.
Make sure to search the later floors carefully. The strongest weapon in the game is there - a Falcata that crits on 18-20 naturally (meaning it stacks with keen. You can carry it over to the main campaign.
what are you talking about? that's not varnhold's lot, it's the giants tomb shit
This dungeon was awesome. It filtered so many bad players.
>Hey! I noticed I'm not in your party. Better take me inside the dungeon. You'll need me.
>"No."
5 dungeon floors and athletics checks later...
>Tee-hee! This isn't asari special command! Teleport->fear->nothin personnel->teleport
this game is objectively terrible and should be shunned
>wtf I can't just rest and get all my spells back whenever I want?
filtered
I literally beat the dungeon
that's the opposite of filtered, moron
I liked it. It was a real challenge with limited supplies, optional bits and a mix of challenges, and then a good twist at the end with the story.
The water elementals were a bit bullshit I guess. The final dungeon is fricking bullshit though, House at the Edge of Time or something? Holy fricking shit, the designers of that should burn in hell for that. Yeah, you can bypass the real problems if you know how to shut down gaze attacks, but it isn't that obvious when you are on your first playthrough and haven't built towards it.
>hasn't even done house at the edge of time
>hates the only decent dungeon in the game
I envy you anon.
boy, you seen nothing yet
for the love of god, make sure everyone has the blind strike peark
that sounds like extreme bs
sorry, its called Blind fight.
oh no that's fine I got it, I meant the place sounds like bs
>Have a friend that sucks off Owlcats games to high heaven
>Swears that they are some of the best RPGs ever made
>Buy WotR
>Hate the fact that the game seems to be designed around wasting your fricking time with buffs to the point where even he told me before I started playing to mod in a frickton of automation for shit like it
>Writing is very hit'n'miss and it's a bit weird that Voice acting seems to start and stop at random
>Combat swings wildly between literal trash encounters that might aswell not exist since they are over in less than 10 sec and all they do is slow down exploration and encounters that are some-fricking-how slower than any other encounter in any other game that I've even played, even turnbesed games where the AI takes 30 sec per turn to do shit
>The entire Kingdom mechanic fricking sucks and I'm glad that I can turn it off almost completely
>From the reviews on steam it looks like almost every single piece of DLC Owlcat has released have been buggy messes that aren't that fun to play and that barely have any content in relation to the asking price
>A few weeks later they add in literal spyware so I unistall even though I wanted to continue playing regardless of all of its flaws since Pathfinder is a fun system to play around with
Have they actually nuked all of the shit they added in that patch from orbit or should I just ask my friend for his fully modded and non-updated GoG copy? Even with all of my shitting on the game it's still pathfinder which I like and I did have fun with it even though I think that the game is a massive missed opportunity thanks to the devs lack of skill/experience at making vidya along with being morons when it comes to updates
p sure they removed the spyware
im not reading all of this, gay
>crpg player doesn't want to read
Hehe
>mod in a frickton of automation
Black person it's just one mod that should honestly be part of the base game
Sounds like you just hate D&D, anon
Did you take the rubies anon?
I don't even remember, all I wanted was to get out of that hellhole
Trust me anon, youd remember
>precast 4 sirroccos
yeah, I took them. Problem?
>this is hands down the worst dungeon I have ever gone through in an RPG
The RNG DLC for wrath might have kingmaker beat in that regard.
how do people even know what to pick when you level up in these games?
you need to be able to read.
This is why americans are filtered.
By knowing what your class does in a fight and then reading your options until you find the things that make the things you do good done more gooder
Online guides. No I'm serious, the game does jackshit giving newbies recommendations what feat/spell/stat distribution you should take other than forcing you to follow a specific vanilla build on vanilla classes. Still somehow better than Baldur Gate not giving player complete info what you will get when picking classes.
i've been trying to find something for mutation warrior since thats what some anons reccomended i start with but the best i've found is stuff for super early in the game
>Still somehow better than Baldur Gate not giving player complete info what you will get when picking classes
Because unlike Pathfinder, anything works in bg3.
Pathfinder has most options and builds be literal traps.
Just pick your fricking class that you've chosen at the start if you aren't absolutely certain about what you're doing with multiclassing. You don't need to pick 4 different classes on any difficulty, just take your one class to lvl 20 and you'll be fine
i don't know. my first playthrough was just picking weapon focus/specialization for my fighter and just randomly picking whatever feats i thought looked cool. didn't use that much buffs except prayer because it sounded cool.
play the game more than once
Anon you haven't seen SHIT yet
The final chapter of the game is such absolute mind-meltingly unfun horseshit that it made me turn on debug cheats. It is pure concentrated frustration and tedium, forming a critical mass and collapsing into a black hole of anti-fun which completely ruined my ability to enjoy what was actually an objectively really good narrative payoff.
I'm on act 3 of WotR (first time playing) and I've had a blast, but I want to start over to apply some of the things I've learned
I'm wondering if I should put it off and go play Kingmaker first though
>RTWP
>no player freedom
>unfinished mythic paths
>broken, horrible DLC
>game was released with countless bugs, one of the most buggy games ever released
>crusader system
>trash mobs
WOTR sucks
>he doesn't know
remember to buy freedom of movement scrolls :^)
that shit ain't helping much
You need the blind strike perk for all members
It does. Even if you fail the gaze save check, Wild Hunt's paralysis isn't going to affect you because Freedom of Movement nullifies it.
Nothing is worse than the pyramid (Nenio dungeon).
*Wild Gaze*
*Wild Gaze*
*Wild Gaze*
*Wild Gaze*
*Wild Gaze*
JUST FRICK MY ENDGAME UP
>he didnt rub 2 brain cells together and get blindfight
no sympathy for you Black folk
Skill issue
i love my goat wife so much
im gathering courage to start my pathfinder (wotr) playthrough again, whats are the best and fun builds to play? i already tried to play that game over a year ago but dropped it after few hours, played as alchemist and throwing bombs was boring as frick.
Why was it the worst?
The final dungeon will be worse for you because you don't sound like an expert player.
>if you didnt enjoy it it means youre bad
nta but youot enjoying it is not what gives the impression you aren't an expert player
You just sound like a not very efficient player, is all. That dungeon takes 40 mins approx. but I can imagine a beginner struggling with it and its mechanics for long.
Are dlc for the two games worth it?
I'm currently at very start of the game and already getting filtered
>Decide to be a summoner
>Pick arcanist
>Made it to Ivory Sanctum
>Summon monster vii
>Summon huge elemental
>Soul eaters ring
>Whip for +attack per round
>And angel/demon brooch
>That moment on bridge
>lose all my summons, need rest again, have full corruption already
>Have to fight Xanthir next
Killme
Ok ChatGPT
how many frickin times are you resting to be at full corruption
4 to get to Ivory Sanctum from Drezen
5 after demonic fae lady
6 after clearing rest of dungeon
I didn't think about squashing ghost minotaurs with boulders. Would it even work, lol? They're ghosts...
7 after bridge
>4 to get to Ivory Sanctum from Drezen
how the frick
also did you not use the corruption-clearing relics? I think there's a couple in there.
>4 to get to Ivory Sanctum from Drezen
You wot? Its literally like 12 hours travel, maximum a single rest is enough. 3 rests in the dungeon seems about right, but that shouldn't even get you to lv1 corruption even if you failed every lore check considering the relics in the dungeon.
Kingmaker has the worst companions ever conceived in an RPG.
>badass stronk barbarian woman
>degen half-orc/elf badass strong woman couple
>boring 'attractive' paladin lady
>obnoxious gnome that steals gold from you in cut scenes and can't be punished
>literal reddit goblin
>token black guy ranger
>coomer bait dlc tiefling sisters
Any I'm missing?
go back to the other thread discord troony.
coomer bait siaters are based
moronic tomboy would have been based if she could be my gf, but she is cute when she's flustered
also the suecidal dwarf is pretty fun and so is the undead elf
You're missing the arrogant narcissistic gnome, the emo dwarf nihilist and the "btw im unded" edgelord incarnate
I like Ekun, Jubilost and Harrim. They're alright. Linzi would have been ok if not for the printing press episode.
>doesn't like Jaethal
>likes Harrim and Ekun
seems like you're a misogynist, and by misogynist I mean a homosexual who hates women out of jealousy
Jaethal is on so many layers of edge she loops back into fun and then back into obnoxious territory again.
Also the way her undeath is handled in the prologue is hilariously bad, soured me on her hard.
>Jubilost, Harrim, Linzi
Good taste. But Ekun is honestly just plain generic, the only quality that makes him stand out is that he's black. Valerie is fairly generic too, but she has certain classic charm I think Ekun lacks.
> the only quality that makes him stand out is that he's black
There is also his obsession with a full troll genocide. Him immediately trying to kill the kids at the troll lair makes me laugh every time.
For all the evil/amoral or whatever companions other games got, dedicated slayers of nonhumans is rare
>good route: let him bid farewell to his wife and child and finally know peace
>bad route: keep him going, feeding his thirst for vengeance
what the frick
black guy ranger is a good companion, I genuinely think he's great
all of those characters sounded woke to me, worst game ever?
>he didn't like nok-nok
ngmi
Pathfinder shills be like
>they removed spyware now so its all good.
why do you get mad at people stating facts?
I'm playing through Baldur's Gate 1 for the first time, am I allowed to hang out with you guys?
ye make sure you go into Baldur.ini and change Path Search Nodes to 32000, it won't negatively affect your performances unless you have a pentium
What I failed to mention is that I'm playing the EE on my Switch.
Black person
>ye make sure you go into Baldur.ini and change Path Search Nodes to 32000, it won't negatively affect your performances unless you have a pentium
what? explain please
Owlcat is not able to make a proper enjoyable game.
Both pathfinders are incredible obnoxious and the numbers (AC, HD, etc) are insanely high compared to the Bestiary books. Meaning they don't know a fricking thing about the setting they are dealing with.
Also they are obsessed with cuck themes for some reason.
Owlcat doesn't understant how to scale encounters without pumping up numbers
Whats with homosexual tabletop players complaining about stat bloat in these games? you know there is literally a difficulty option that lets you turn down enemy stats right? It makes perfect sense for enemies in a video game to be tougher than the pnp books, you are personally controlling 6 characters, showered with magic loot and are significantly more likely to be building characters for combat power rather than roleplaying.
you clearly don't play the tabletop if you think one guy controlling 6 chars is op compared to a bunch of nerds min/maxing the shit out of their characters in a competition with each other to get the boss kill
Difficulty: Core rules
It has nothing to do with the fricking core rule values
Frick off
The game has such stats to add artificial difficulty to RTWP combat. Because of RTWP nature you can't have good combat AI (it's hard to code) so the only way they can make it harder through obnoxious numbers. Notice how everything just blindly auto attacks.
how the frick does rtwp hurt AI? It’s the same as any rts. Do you really think a computer needs that extra time to think that turn-based provides?
>how the frick does rtwp hurt AI? It’s the same as any rts
>rts
you mean autoattack shit fest? Yes. Like in diablo. Mobs have 1-2 attacks everything else is passive. But try to make AI to use actual PF system and their spells (they do have more than 2 spells in the book). For example swift, free actions etc. Avoiding attacks of opportunity by using special ability every character has. Using their step action. Retreating. AOEing. All in real time. Just look how DoS2 plays in fully turn based. Enemies are using their abilities and tactic.
>try to make AI to use actual PF system and their spells
You can tho? But for that you need to hire real talent and loadsamoney
It's impossible for player to use all PF system in real time with pause, anon. In one turn. On all 6 players. The combat in real time is already so fricking confusing and deadly on higher non meme difficulties. Now imagine ai doing all the same shit. it will be like a playing hardcore solo run in Pillars where you pause every 1/4 of second but your head is exploding in process
Do you not understand how computers work? BG2 was literally doing all of that decades ago on much slower computers for a 50% larger party size on a much more complicated ruleset than 5e. You can set the profile AI for party members to one of several presets. Your archers will attempt to maintain range with the enemy, and failing to do so they will switch to melee mode.
>BG2 was literally doing all of that decades ago
Did you play BG2 decade ago? It's a braindead point n click game. All NPC mages do is using their buffs. That's it. You get same experience in PF.
RTWP was hated for a reason by rpg enjoyers. Don't even try to compete shitty BG2 combat to turn based games. Especially games like KotC2.
Just admit you’re a moron who doesn’t understand computers. There’s nothing technically limiting a computer from running AI companions in real-time. Turn-based offers no advantages in this regard, so your turn-based AI is going to be just as dumb as the rtwp AI.
>Just admit you’re a moron who doesn’t understand computers
No, frick off with your BG2 shit.
>Turn-based offers no advantages in this regard
No, in turn based only one turn happens. You can't change decisions on the fly for entire team. Go away.
Logically speaking, rtwp is the exact same as your turn-based games. It just feels smoother to humans because you aren’t controlling every aspect of every turn. For a computer though it’s the same thing.
The games fricking suck, one of the mods here is Russian so these twats have free reign to make endless threads about this genuinely terrible shit.
Your seething never gets old
and your game is now old and forgotten since bg3
tons of pf threads have been moved to /b/ by the mods tho because someone posted slightly lewd art. so i don't understand your seethe when the mods have deleting and prune some threads because it wasn't a Nintendo thread
I've seen those threads and they were mostly waifu ones
Sometimes you get a mod that gets mad and is a girl is in the OP they move it to /b/
in one thread someone posted this and the entire thread got moved to /b/ in an instant. don't open it
>don't open it
but how else will i get in there too
m-mommy
Trigger happy mods ban you for posting cropped porn even if it isn't explicit at all, fricking homosexuals
>the russians are behind it
how's 2017 treating you?
Is there some tierlist I can look up of character builds that aren't worthless? I hate the feeling of getting 3-4 hours into the game only to realize I rolled my character wrong and I can't beat any of the encounters due to worthless feats and stuff.
You are being mindbroken by Ganker threads. Play on normal and make literally any character, you will be fine. Every single subclass in the game has the potential to turn into a face roll on normal.
What this guy said
If you're not already intimately familliar with the game system then there's no need to play above normal. This game isn't like others where normal actually means journo mode. It will still be a challenge but it will still be fun and you have creative freedom. The difficulty descriptors are quite accurate. Hard and upwards are for people who really know the game already.
Alternatively just install the cheat mod that allows you to respec mid-run, just have the restraint to not abuse it.
around halfway through the game i just lowered the difficulty options to easiest possible because the combat became a fricking slog. enemies with insanely moronic buffs and too many combat slow combat encounters
you can easily tell the game was designed for RWTP because playing turn based is a headache with how many encounters there are, and moreover the encounters themselves are very poorly designed
How come a pretty unpopular CRPG that's 6/10 at best has so many consistent threads?
Probably because this is Ganker - video games for the discussion of video games.
It's all just a direct result of the sheer amount of shitposting that BG3 has caused
>contrarian CRPG threads telling people that pathfinder is better
>random threads popping up daily now about BG1 and BG2 despite rarely getting a thread per year
>people talking more about CRPGs as a whole and arguing about turn based vs RTwP
Inflammatory threads get the most replies so it's the optimal time to try to have these threads without them getting bumped off to page 10 from Twitter Screencap thread #4813 or troony Whining thread #5681
>contrarian CRPG threads telling people that pathfinder is better
I realize now I worded this poorly. I don't mean that liking Pathfinder is contrarian or that it's a bad game. I mostly meant the threads popping up now that are like "APOLOGIZE" next to a WotR screenshot.
And that is quite literally just bait to keep the thread afloat, I would know because I've done it too
Pathfinder threads were more recent and active before BG3 came out
I really hate this necessity to basically conduct foreplay on my threads with inflammatory posts or coomer bait to actually keep threads alive.
Sorry, I can't get it up for your threads so easily anymore.
Pathfinder has had consistent threads since way before BG3 came out.
What's the alternative, bg3, wasteland 3, disco elysium? 4/10 at best
So much absolute garbage like BG3 has come around that Kingmaker has moved up the ladder without doing anything.
Also, Kingmaker > WotR
WotR is atrocious, nothing is done right, no thoughts were given to fix and improve the problems of the previous game, they just doubled down on it. Was it greed, or was Kingmaker a fluke and Owlcat are actually severely incompetent as a developer?
That's a downright lie. As much as combat encounters and the writing feel less thought of, chargen alone was improved so much that I could never go back to Kingmaker.
>spent 2h looking at the character creation screen and did nothing again
basically same for me, was looking through everything and im probably too much ape to know what the frick im doing
i also hate that i have to pick classes and shit before actually making my character
im just sitting here deciding on wether i want to play this or attempt D:OS2 again
Are any of the WotR dlcs any good?
Only the last sarkorians
No
Pathfinder into the ashes I guess? The one where you replay act 1 but with a different set of lvl1 people.
The dungeon crawler one for wotr might be good if you just like dungeon crawling, but I found it boring.
Last Sarkorians is good

Owlcatbros... they're copying Larian
I genuinely hope you don't believe Gayrian invented TRPG tile effects.
It's really weird that the first CRPG ever made started as the 3rd installment of a series. Not sure why? I looked at the prequels and they just looked like they made the graphics bad on purpose???
hopefully they learn there lesson and make the next PF game fully TB and pf2e. no one likes RTWP except maybe codextards.
it's pretty likely they'll abandon RTWP, even Obsidian added turn-based mode to POE2. And BG3 selling a squillion copies is pretty definitive that people prefer turn-based.
>And BG3 selling a squillion copies is pretty definitive that people prefer turn-based
I'm sure that being TB is the reason why BG3 sold so much
at the very least, it wasn't a detriment, despite RTWPgays and AAA publishers pretending normies hate turn-based games
... You really think people bought this game for anything to do with game mechanics? You don't think they bought it for the franchise name, marketing and meme sex content?
maybe they didn't buy it for the turn-based combat, but if player counts are anything to go by it certainly hasn't stopped anyone
It's clear from reading this thread that there's a cohort of Ganker that loves owlcat because they simply filter a large amount of players and nothing more.
Any winedrunk catlady who bought BG3 to frick their himbos and vamp twinks is not going to tolerate the higher apm of rtwp, nor the filtering autism of russian devs.
The shareholders will go where the money is and BG3 has shown that turn-based coomerbait is where the money is.
They might even force the devs to bend the knee and accept WOTC suzerainty, in exchange for the perceived added attraction of 5e and Forgotten Realms to normies.
please no
leave the turn cringe to morons
ill keep my rtwp thanks
no
pf2e is so much better than 1 it's not even funny. why are these games still on that decades-old system anyways?
quit whining
>exposes that cuck Tristian as the traitor (that could teleport whenever the story needed him to)
nah it was cool
>worst dungeon
>worst
Heheheheheheheheheheheh
>next pf game won't have drows, assimar and tieflings cause of wotc ogl shit.
>we will never get a pf drow romance
sad.
>dark elves
>heavensborn
>abyssborn
simple
Nice idea bro. you should try forwarding this to Paizo in a email on how moronic there decision to cut them out and replace them with snake people was.
Drows in pathfinder are kinda shit anyways.
frick the drows, we still haven't gotten a elf romance as of yet. what the frick Owlcat?
>what is Octavia
>what is Camellia
>what is Jaethal secret romance ending
>what is Jaethal secret romance ending
>what is Octavia
a half elf in a relationship with a Orc
>What is Camellia
Dead in the basement and also a half-elf
>what is Jaethal secret romance ending
wow! just a ending slide and nothing else. 10/10 romance.
Crane style ofc. Also sex with brown dicky
>cam hater is a pedo
>The guy who likes a literal serial killer trying to take the moral highground
>what is Jaethal secret romance ending
Is that the evil ending for her? Kinda based if true.
yep. one where you let her possess her daughter body
Wait a second you can kill Nenio. I remember killing her.
Well, a quick google search shows that you really cannot.
But you can. When you recruiting her for the first time you have "angry" dialogue option.
Well you can, so there
You have to kill her friend Jannah when you find her locked in the cage, I assume Seelah has to be there but maybe if you tell her back at town she fricks off
Seems like I was wrong, sorry. Strange, there's even threads on Steam community with people complaining you can't kill her.
It's true that you do not have a standard way to kill her AFTER recruiting her, the way you do for Seelah, Cam, Greybor, Regill etc.
what did you complete the game as anon?
kingmaker
>Hedwirg with a mod that adds +5 axiomatic flail

LE antipaladin tyrant that fricked his three wives (tieflings and fey)
Is call of the wild a good mod? thinking of giving it a try for my second playthrough
It's nowhere near as modular as TTT but I still liked it, if only because Kingmaker feels barebones compared to WotR
>kingmaker
autismal potions expert. 7 cha 18 int, no romance, stunlocked everything with force bombs, gave Shyka the crown
>wotr

mega based. this is how you should CE properly
>Kangmaker

>Full angel, Arue romance, Secret ending
Yeah, its really ba-
Oh.
Youre only in Vordakai hahahah and youre already complaining
HaHAHAHAHAHAHAH oh god
Let us know how the last location went, anon.
Is this game really that difficult? I want to try it, but I heard that you have to be autistic about builds just to be able to play on normal difficulty
only WotR is difficult
There's a lot to learn and it doesn't really flat-out tell you anything so there's a lot of reading feats and spells, you don't need to be super autistic for normal but just stick with a simple class instead of thinking you can just do whatever you want
you can change a lot of difficulty options
but the thing is, the game on the difficulty it was supposed to emulate the tabletop is insane, it is clear that the developers know nothing about the tabletop and the rules that hold each other to make the game something remotely balanced. Not here, the videogame is an absolute mess
You can compare with games made by people that actually know what the frick they were doing like temple of elemental evil, and icewind dale
Look, the funhouse in Kingmaker is bad, but nothing will ever compare to the pyramid at the end of Nenio's quest in Wrath.
Pathfinder bros, I am in dire need of cute Camellias.
how do I use this effectively considering it also targets allies?
Selective metamagic
Or just aim
Or better yet, don't use it
cool. what about this one? doesn't actually seem to do anything at all
useful in early game because of the brap stinking cloud dretches throw on core but becomes useless in late game.
Probably useful in the early game with the Dretches that spam their farts, but delay poison communal is better
no my question is how do I use it? I click the button but the cloud remains active and allies in the AoE remain poisoned
Well it would only negate the debuff and not get rid of the cloud, I'm guessing you're using it on Stinking Cloud because I can't think of anything else and that appears to be a level 3 spell so I assume Cam would have to be level 6 according to the tooltip
Selective metamagic. but it's not worth it because Demons are immune to sickening i think
you don't, because demons are largely immune to poison
How much more DLC is coming for Wrath and when? Putting off my first playthrough until it's complete. Thanks in advance
Two more
No one knows, don't expect it anytime soon with BG3 just released
>Two more
wtf, how big is Owlcat? They're developing 2 DLCs and a full game at the same time?
WH40k is gonna be another buggy trainwreck isn't it
It's not like the DLCs are that big
It's 'literally nothing the DLCs'
Even if they weren't, it'd be an unfinished, buggy mess nonethless.
>haha yeah i romanced nyrissa first play through ha i don't use guides though haha yeah that would be ha lame
I had to look up a guide to romance her because the Nymphussy got a homie acting unwise. this was before the goat dlc
>romance in my crpgs
cringe
Both owlcat games are mediocre bloated messes
I paid for only one in a sale
true
Okay, if Pathfinder, BG3, PoE, DOS and all indie CRPGs are pure garbage, which one should I play instead?
nothing. CRPG genre is dead. bury it
BG2, MotB, PS:T, ToEE, Fallout 1
>still no villain to top irenicus
why can't nucRPG devs write and get good voice actors?
>still no villain to top irenicus
Only his VA is good. He's morning cartoon tier villain.
>you beat him in ACT 2
>"Heh I can easily kill you right now, but I'm pretty busy. You're so weak and pathetic I have better things to do!"
>*teleports away*
nudevs cant even find good voice actors though
I think the last time I heard good voice acting in a cRPG was in KotOR2 or PoE1 (eder/durance)
BG3 has 2 good VAs for the male villains. So there's that.
Too bad they're not the main villains.
>He's morning cartoon tier villain.
He really is, people give him too much credit for having a line mocking "monologuing his plan to the heroes" and then literally writes his plans down in journals he leaves lying around, not only that he big plans are "get god powers from a tree because last time I tried they took my immortally, my girlfriend dumped me, and I got exiled"

>he doesn't know

bros...
wait for Jade regent AP to be adapted for pocket azata onahole.
Jerribeth romance WHEN?
Which Monk stance would you recommend for a Sensei Monk?
Any hope for Strange Aeons AP? Exploring Dreamlands would be comfy
take it with a grain of salt but someone whos dad works in Owlcat said that the next AP will either be
>iron gods (most likely one)
>runelords
>Jade regent
>skulls & shackles
so yeah pray one of these gets adapted
>runelords
I thought that was NeverEver
Not really. Runelord could still be adapted unlike reign of winter or tyrant's grasp because i doubt Owlcat is ready to do another mythic campaign after wrath of the righteous
>tfw no undead wife
Aroden is lucky that he's dead, otherwise I would kill him myself
same. Aroden may be the god of humanity but he is also the god of dumbass decisions and moronation. Why the frick did he pick a newly made god to be his herald instead of idk any other competent outsider?
>newly made god
She wasn't a goddess yet moron
>she became the most recent person to pass the Test of the Starstone and acquire a spark of divinity. Her actions caught the notice of Aroden, who chose her as his herald, replacing the slain Arazni. Iomedae served him in this capacity until Aroden's death in 4606 AR
she may not be a god with a realm yet but she had the same power as Cayden and even Norgorber at the time. if she wanted she could have nwf and want on to make her own realm with black jacks and gold dragon hookers
Ruins of Azlant or bust scrub. I want to romance Ramona.

can i migrate my save from pirated copy to steam version?
Doubtful. Steam is usually pretty annoying with IDing their save files. You could see where the pirated copy saved it and try to just drag it into the one Steam makes but I'd be willing to bet you won't be able to.
Really? I thought it was very cool. Second only to Siege of Drezen from wotr
I actually liked that one. House at the End of Time, now that's a bad dungeon that can go frick itself.
>mfw level drain
defend this mechanic
it's fun. what, too low level to handle a bit of level drain?
I'm playing Kingmaker at the moment and I'm genuinely overwhelmed with all the items and spells and abilities the game throws at you. I remember playing the old Black Isle games back in the day and it wasn't that bad.
But my own AoE spells can still screw me over, so some things never change.
>mfw there are actually people who play with deaths door enabled.
I feel embarassed for you guys
This dungeon is very realistic in a sense that it is primal example of "DM have shit mood so you will have to"
"Mythic destiny" content pack, coming out in the season pass 3 will contain

whats the best source of character builds to this game? does something like gameFAQs exist?
Neoseeker has a bunch of cheeselord builds. Reddit has some slightly more tame builds.
Here are froggy's schizo builds:
https://pastebin.com/u/pwrg_builds
who? i don't keep up with CRPG autism e-celebs
Some schizo /vg/Black person
a schizo on /vg/
Some autist that would scream at you for not picking the classes he approves of, for example saying you want to play sorcerer or Sword Saint would trigger him to write gigantic wall of text like pic related.
>greentexting in the youtube comment section and writing huge wall of text because someone didn't make a build you like
what level of autism is this?
epic levels (20+)
10 anon/10 CRPG nerd. he also has 10 levels on the autist mythic path
If there is anything positive to be said about froggy is that he knows the game inside out. Although playing his builds is pretty boring because they're optimized to the points where you can kill any boss on Unfair in 1 round, btw that's his minimum requirement for you to beat the game, according to him. Also, he's German.
>Also, he's German.
why am i not surprised. Germs are the biggest autist and furries around, he is not a furry is he?
>he is not a furry is he?
Of course he is a furry. His favorite characters are Nenio and lady Konomi, and he'd always attach a picture of some fox thing with big breasts
>or Sword Saint
From my brief testing, Sword Saint fricking obliterates Unfair.
Post your Sword Saint beating Unfair Deskari in a single turn.
I won't be taking a merc there, but it did kill Unfair Lathimas in 1 turn without relying on any "once a day" buffs or other team help outside of the usual pre-buff.
I thought I could make Linzi unnecessary by picking the Sensei Monk, but it turns out Linzi can just sing a different Bard song to debuff opponents.
This shit is wild.
Dirge of Doom is pretty good if you have Shatter Defenses.
>if you have Shatter Defenses.
Just on the bard, right?
on every Marital who can power attack which will make them flat-footed (dex bonus to armor class denied against your attacks)
Holy shit, that's really expensive. It's 3 feats from every applicable character.
Maybe I should just make Linzi sing something else.
it's expensive but worth it on melee guys. some late game enemies have very high Dex and hitting them when they are flat-footed or shattered defenses is a great way for killing them quickly.
Well, it's more of a 2 feat tax, one of those feats is weapon focus and most melee characters get weapon focus anyway
what weapon should I give camilla? I don't understand how to play her class
you respec her to Shadow Shaman to make her slightly less shit
can't. I am the shadow shaman of the group
then she's fresh-squeezed bench juice
or slap a bow on her
Is this a mod? cause i am pretty sure there is no shambler summon spell.
I usually go with rapier + Buckler or or rapiers with two weapon fighting. Short swords would also work I guess. Any small weapons would work ok in theory.
her weapon is hexes
Ember seems to be better at hexes than Camilla though.
What are the most useful hexes? I only have Misfortune and it's shit.
Hexes from Shamans and Witches stack.
So you can double Evil Eye enemies for massive debuffs.
She's also a full caster with a pretty good spell book.
and she's pretty good as a tank too. plus can do OK damage with that elemental power that gives you +2d6 every time you deal a new type of damage. She was definitely one of the strongest party members for my playthrough. Shame she had to die.
Anything she is proficient with
Give her 2 levels of instinctual warrior, remove her armor, give her that mythic ability that improves mage armor. Let her drink mage armor potions whenever you need her to survive. Congratulations, you've got yourself a 60-70 AC untouchable frontline debuffer tank.
Do these 2 songs stack?
https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Inspire+Courage
https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Inspire+Heroics
Morale bonus dont stack, The other effects should still work though
Does competence bonuses stack?
Is there a way to quickly check if a buff I'm abotu to apply won't stack?
for now everytime I'm buffing I have to go to the character sheet and check which types of buffs I have before I waste a spell.
The vast majority of bonuses that have a word describing them don't stack. Conversely, if there's no descriptor for a bonus, it'll stack with everything.
So
>gives a +2 bonus to AC
and
>gets a +1 bonus to AC
will stack,
while
>gives a +2 sacred bonus to AC
and
>gets a +4 sacred bonus to AC
will not.
There are a few exceptions, though:
>natural armor (but not natural armor enhancement)
>dodge
There are a few ability-specific exceptions as well but those are likely to be oversights rather than interactions.
For example, Ranger's Quary's insight bonus uniquely stacks with other insight bonuses.
So, generally, you should be aiming at getting as many bonuses of different types as possible.
Yeah I know that, but I haven't memorized what spell gives what type of bonus, so I constantly have to go into the character sheet and check what bonus types I have on to see if it's worth casting a spell.
I guess you should just doctor your spellbook/hotbar to only hold shit that'll stack.
Maybe there's a mod for that, but I dunno.
>in-game encyclopedia doesn't have a search function
>put target to sleep
>not considered helpless for the effects of coup de grace
?
But it works? I've cheesed every hard enemy so far with sleep hex + coup. 10% of the time it works every time.
Why not build her as a spellcaster? She gets barkskin and the usual buffs, so she's already better than the slave elf from kingmaker.
I'm making my PC a weird mix of demon ranger + urban hunter 2H user specced in elven katanas with the intent of going into Student of War. I have no clue what I'm dling, but at least my dog is a ridiculous tank. Mage Armor + Barkskin + Shield of Faith and he easilg goes over 30AC at level 4. Me on the other hand die quickly and all my damage comes from the magical spear that scares people away that's been carrying me into usefulness.
is Dazzling Display affected by coordinated maneuvers feat?
Im going to use a cRPG BRO angel oracle build for my first playthrough. How fricked am i?
It's over! you're finished.
Did they ever add tooltips to spells on Loremaster or are you still expected to be an actual loremaster to know what the frick you're picking on level up
>teamwork feats
they can become powerful but the problem is that you're just forced to take them it annoys me
You literally aren't forced to take them at all, what are you on about? And the only must have is outflank
>you don't have to take them, they're just offered to you when you level up in this class!
>Pick class that gets free teamwork feats
>Complain about it
What are you even crying about homosexual, it's for free
>it's not forced if it's free (i.e. forced to take)
I accept your concession
>free
>what is opportunity cost
They all suck except for outflank. There I made it easy for you.
I like the one that gives save bonuses.
Speaking of teamwork feats. How do I actually share them with my pet? Tooltips said I could but I haven't seen them in action.
I think the animal thing is a feat you can get as a hunter. The thing with teamwork feats is that unless you are playing on unfair they arent really needed, so you can use those feats on cooler things instead. Like on a core playthrough you wouldn't need the extra save bonuses. Of course outflank is always good no matter what.
buy humble bundle, yes/no? i already have bg1, last rpg i played was fallout1
Righteous is worth trying for $12 and even if you don't like it you can enjoy Icewind Dale.
>beamdog
nah
cant i just patch the steam versions if the EEs suck or whats the deal with them
Nothing other than the shitty ocs, it's just a version of the game with a bunch of QoL shit that already existed with mods
the EEs are fine but beamdog completely replaced all the art in BG2EE. Character models (dolls) and item icons are all different (much worse) than OG game. UI is also frickugly, needs mods to fix asap.
New companions are dogshit, you can remove them with mods.
The UI is the main thing that holds me back from playing them. The Stats and Spell menus are so bad, they dont fit the look of the game at all.
You can just remove the Beamdog OC with a mod if you're lazy and don't want to deal with the old versions, yes. I highly recommend doing that. Their monk OC is probably the only one who isn't insufferable but shit's not worth it.
Even the worst dungeon in Kingmaker was still better than the fricking Kitsune SandBlack person Sphinx Shit in WOTR.
After playing Larian jank cliff shover simulator 3 for 80 hours, I'm really appreciating the combat in Pathfinder again. There are plenty of cheesy things possible with 3.5/PF rules but nothing as stupid as barrelmancy or instant death pits everywhere with enemies that will try to shove you/knock into them every fricking turn.
there isn't a single fight in either Pathfinder game that's anywhere near as interesting as even simple shit like the drunk kobolds in BG3
have a nice day Black folkhill
I will not
someone explain this one to me
You're standing in the fricking doorway blocking anyone from doing anything.
I fricking have to get after my friend all the time for this in BG3
you can just jump over your friend in BG3 at least
Imagine playing bad games when good games already came out.
Like come on. Be reall.
lmao that's the best dungeon you're gonna get from now on. I can't wait until you get to the next ones, you're gonna be malding.
it's literally the peak of the game
why does Ganker always complain about any somewhat challenging dungeos in an RPG? you're so fricking casual
tedious =/= challenging
it's not tedious, OP went in unprepared and got rekt, it's you being a shit player
I beat the dungeon moron. The final boss was a pushover too.
Going back to pathfinder feels so good after the clusterfrick that is 5e DnD
5e isnt a clusterfrick
How is 5e a clusterfrick, if anything it's too simple
5e is boring as frick but it's not a clusterfrick. Pathfinder would be good except it devolves into buff autism
They unironically need to copy JRPGs for once. Games like Etrian Odyssey have a 3 buff limit, so you actually have to build a party that doesn't just provide every buff in the game.
I agree. Is there an in-depth analysis on why this dungeon is such dogshit?
Just wait until House at the End of Fun
And if you play Wrath of the Righteous you will be begging to go back to Vordakais dungeon.
I decided to taunt WotR by making a fire kineticist on Hard, you know, in the game where fricking every enemy has fire resistance. The fact that I took Drezen and didn't die is a miracle.
Why would you die? At that point you already have ascendant element
Best class and mythic path for this run? I'm thinking kineticist because they deal a shit ton of damage with minimal resting required.
Trickster martial probably
Yeah, that's what I thouhgt too. Kineticist trickster and run a full martial team
What was his problem?
I got the 2nd pathfinder game recently from a friend. Should I play the first one before that?
They arent connected. First one starts slower and eases you into the systems better. Second one is overall more fun in my opinion with some really cool character systems.
In the first one you build a kingdom and fight threats outside and within
In the second one you build a crusade and fight demons
The The
The The
Dont bully me. Somehow its captchas fault
anon it made me laugh
we're cool
WOTR is far better tutorialized than Kingmaker and doesn't blast your ass with swarms an hour in
Play KM first so you can clap when you see the cameos in WotR
