Is the studio even big enough to work at a big expansion and a new game at the same time?
Yeah they can work on two games at the same time now.
They can't even relese patches for Wrath that don't break the game so I doubt that.
On the contrary, patches for the game were always done by the janitor and a pet monkey paid in vodka and playtesting by the players after release. Using a few members who add content before they go back to creating the new game is feasible
There are a couple mythic abilities that I wish would come one rank sooner to be a bit more frontloaded or have mroe fun at the final stretch (like Aeon to get move action spells or Trickster getting one extra improved mythic trick one rank earlier).
I wonder if the big surprise will be one whole new mythic, but I doubt it.. All the varied dialogue, mythic units etc is too much work
Owlcat is a frickshit company. Once they act like they deserve respect and stop cranking out 4.5 out of 10 games then maybe they'll be able to compete.
So, never?
Stop gaslighting
>ToB-like expansion
lol, not happening
They are stupid if they don't do it. It would print money.
Implying they're capable of doing it
they shat out the inevitable excess
>wanted to play goody two-shoes
>ended up going demon and corruption arue
it's fun
For me it's the other way around.
Is there any companion that doesn't have constant Critical Role-esque dialogue? I've just finished the prologue after like a month because the dialogue for most companions is so goddamn theatrical.
I don't know exactly what you mean, but probably not since the dialogue style is relatively consistent. Once you get out of the Shield Maze you can replace your party with mercenaries that don't talk if you want.
It's mostly the writing style yeah. It feels overtly grandiose, and the voice acting is VERY hit or miss for me. I think the only voice actress I like is Minagho's.
Regis, who mostly talks like Claude Frollo. Gaybor also, who talks like a living bounty hunter caricature.
I've never watched critical role but I assume it's like capeshit quipping yeah?
Maybe you'll like Regill, he's a pretty serious guy.
I heard good things about Regill. When do you get to him?
Early/middle of act 2
yes, the undead ones.
Fricking hell crossblooded sorc is a misery to play
It's great as a dip but why the frick whould you play it pure?
You will get like two extra lines of dialogue and that's about it.
Gold Dragon path was so fricking gay, I still can't comprehend why would they turn it into a neutral good path
I also wanted them to be LG but there was not NG path.
Why not just commit to Angel of Mercy path and let Vengeance and GD be Lawful.
I wish this game was co op so I could play with you bros
Would the host be the only one getting a mythic path though and everyone else would be sidekicks? Maybe there's a way to make it work but I'd rather get more solo content.
>goldchads
>only dragon you can be is a pansy fricking lizard who cries if he has to kill a demon
FUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Wait wut
Positively Shakespearean.
>who cries if he has to kill a demon
The literal first thing you do as a GD is burn a demon army alive
This. Why not you choose your dragon alignment. There's already a plot hook with the red dragon
>This. Why not you choose your dragon alignment. There's already a plot hook with the red dragon
There's a whole ass spell that lets you become a dragon without the baggage of being a GD turbohomo. Why is Gold Dragon even a path? They're not celestial, or epic, or mythic. They're just big smug lizards who think they get to be the boss of things because they have lots of hit dice and innate spellcasting.
>why is this even a path
No idea. I would have preferred a dragon lord instead of an actual dragon. Like instead of turning into one you get a dragon familiar that isn't gay
We don't even get innate spellcasting nor fire aura as gold dragon, you can simulate these with shit like demon bloodline as sorcerer or bloodrager, but by itself the dragon kit is just big stats
Additional content for lategame paths. Hell, making lategame paths available from the same time. I like Aeon, but I'd rather just go straight into being a Devil sometimes, y'know?
Is there any benefit to doing the Gay Garrison before the demon attack on the Defender's Heart? Other than not having to do that slog of an encounter
A few more material rewards.
I remember testing it and coming to conclusion that skipping the defense gives less total exp and money.
The xp reward is was the same when I played, but I guess you cannot do the nabasu fight?
Yeah, you miss out on a lot of content.
>Yeah, you miss out on a lot of content.
Like?
A lot of content might be an exaggeration, but there's a bunch of stuff in the market that spawns only after tavern defense, which you obviously can't access if you go straight to gray garrison.
>there's a bunch of stuff in the market that spawns only after tavern defense
Like?
The Nabassu that sucked Hulrun until he became moronic
Also a couple of zombie horses
It's honestly very skippable
Though it is quite a lot of extra xp, especially if you're playing with small parties with xp share off.
I've seen people say that you can find the Nabasu on the market map before the tavern fight, not sure if that requires leaving the map and coming back.
I don't think WOTR has any solo persuasion checks, even when you're in town it will find your best party member for checks, but I know a couple of mythic paths separate the main character so maybe there's something I'm forgetting. On martial builds with extra feats for disploom it's pretty easy to get your intimidate high enough to pass almost all intimidate checks if you put ranks in it, otherwise it's not necessary.
I'm about to do the tavern defence and there's just this absolutely bizarre piece of reactivity that didn't need to be there but I appreciate that they put it in. When Aribeth is talking to you prior to the fight her dialogue changes depending on your 1st level class, such as referring to you praying for all the help the higher powers offer if you're a cleric.
However if you're a Fighter she always refers to you as a "swordsman/woman" even if you took weapon focus longbow
This game is SHIT AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Should I as MC invest into persuasion and perception? I remember Kingmaker had some specific checks just for leader.
Kingmaker had like 7-8 solo persuasion checks, of which only 2 did not also have alternate solutions or had rewards that mattered. A teammate with eprsuasion was just as good. You wanted perception on many characters so it's less likely you miss shit while wandering.
If you are doing a martial build with intimidation, or have high cha/wis regardless, persuasion and perception is not a bad choice to have. But you want your party to cover all skill checks and there is minimal need for solo checks.
will swarm get more content?
>be magic man
>having a good time in act 1 and 2
>suddenly all enemies have high spell resistance and saving throws
o-oh
By act 3 when you get mythic rank 3-4 which unlocks good caster bullshit for your chosen path, mythic spell pen and items that boost spell pen, it becomes less of an issue
It'll pick back up
Imagine being a cultist when you already possess that which is most valuable. Your own life.
Depending on when and how hard you died life is worth about 5000 to 25000 gp so if a demon pact gets you goods and services equal to or greater than that then it's worth it
You can just repent later and go to heaven
> Pursue lich path

Is it possible to build a non-useless melee cleric?
Been thinking about playing Angel Cleric of Erastil that's cruising around on his fricking elk
Yes, literally all you have to do is pick a background that gives you proficiency with a non-shit weapon such as the scimitar, and then picking animal domain as one of your first domains.
Take nature+battle oracle instead.
oracle is gay
Just make a cleric and use background for weapon proficiency, you can't really afford martial weapons prof since you're already pretty much forced to take boon companion.
That's unusual, Kenabres is generally the hardest part up until Midnight Fane.
No idea, dont care, since I will pirate it anyway.
Wratch of the Lichking was written by the same troony that wrote for Siege of Baddragon.
Dont give your money to wokeshittery.
This
Avellone's fingerprints are all over it just like Kingmaker
>finish Kenabres
>start struggling in fights
What's the best buffing class in the game? Brown-Fur?
I miss Linzi and Jubi
Brownfur and Skald probably. Bard may be better than Skald if your frontline doesn't do much damage.
Skald
i prefer Brown-Fur, but spell slots are a issue so it starts doing actual fight spells very very late
also the level 20 trait where you get even more stats from buffs is broken, resets on loadingscreens
How would you salvage gold dragon path without rewriting the current original campaign?
Because right now it comes out of nowhere and choice to pursue is sudden, inorganic and so random it feels like part of a trickster path to frick with the assembly.
Remove it and rewrite devil path instead
I would remake all lategame paths from the ground up because they all suck ass
>random encounter
>roll bad initiative
>5 ash giants and 2 ganondorfs waddle over and rape my character to death before she can cast any defensive spells
>Random encounter starts
>Succubi archers immediately kill Daeran
Also have the giants' leg animations been screwed up for others or is that a mod I have? They move really fast like they're trying to start a car in the Flintstones.
Random encounters are the only truly difficult parts of the game.
>They move really fast like they're trying to start a car in the Flintstones.
That's completely normal.
>They move really fast like they're trying to start a car in the Flintstones.

Are there any fun core viable Angel builds that don't involve being an Oracle blaster?
Angel is one of the most solid paths you can be whatever you want, I particularly enjoyed bloodrager seething angel
Any full bab class or magus. The mythic paths give you shitton of spells anyway.
I am not sure what would not be viable on core for any class or mythic.
You could be an archer demon or arcanist trickster and do well.
Anything full divine caster will kick ass, any martial will kick ass. Or combine them and go full divine caster focused on martial - Angel doesn't give a crap about SR.

1.4.0d beta just dropped
> Undead are now immune to Energy Drain;
Only took 11 months
Is this patch the beta for EE?
No, just a patch.
We have the DLC release before EE to focus on as well
>Feyspeaker druid finally got some new DLC spells in their repertoire;
Wut
>Mind Blank now protects from all devices and spells that gather information about the target through divination magic (such as see invisibility, thoughtsense and true seeing);
What does this mean?
So I want to make an arcane caster lich, from my understanding I should go for a spontaneous caster like Sorc or Arcanist, but what other school should I just to go with necromancy?
> from my understanding I should go for a spontaneous caster like Sorc or Arcanist,
Do not go for arcanist. You lose the best of both worlds.
Sorcerer is probably the best, but wiz and witch will work.
Lich does not offer much in boosting DCs (malus from corrupt magic aside), but generic mythic support and items will help you land shit and you do not care about Spell resistance as much as most mythics due to CL and a couple powers).
Pick 1-2 of the following schools: Illusion, Enchantment, Conjuration, Evocation.
If you go wizard, consider specifically Divination wizard, it's very cute.
Next season pass is almost definitely gonna include a overworld update for the top left section of the map since it's a set of areas people can explore that got expanded on in a lorebook and even has basic maps to fight the enemies in quick rundown on each part because why not.
>Lake Lost to the Sun
Full of Sea Linnorms and at the bottom is a portal to the feywild ocean where the self proclaimed god of Linnorms lives (frickhuge Linnorm who is also one of the Eldest)
>Petrified Library
Ancient druid "library" made up of thousands of rune etched trees like the one you find Miammar in front of in Wintersun has filled with lower tier undead and a few druid liches again like the one you fight in Wintersun but weaker since they were druid librarians before they turned undead
>Greengrave Keep
Only Demon stronghold in the stonewilds occupied by a Vrolikai Inquisitor of the Demon Lord of Fungus he's not interested in leaving because under the Keep is a sealed underground temple (dungeon) that high level druids enter to directly interact with one of the worlds leylines
>Outlying villages/towns
bunch of villages filled with undead and minor druid temples completely untouched by demons
>Circle of Hierophants
bunch of spread around former druid groves with the ruler/final boss of the region being a level 20 mythic 5 druid that permanently cleansed the entire stonewilds of demon corruption by killing everything inside and petrifying all the plant life and raising it all back as undead.
Would this mean more druid loot and perhaps druid integration into mythic paths? Cause that would be awesome.
>Druid integration into paths
Ahahaha.
>demon lord of fungus
I wanna meet the fungus guy.
Should I get Mythic Vital Strike first or Mythic Power Attack? For context my build is Fighter 20 but I pick suboptimal things
If you already have cleaving finish and greater vital strike get mythic vital strike otherwise power attack.
Both.
Your 5 mythic feats should be focus, power, vital, specialization and whatever you like(maybe extra mythic ability).
Flawless attacks is not needed as much if you vital strike shit
Why the frick are you gays getting vital strike on a pure fighter? am I missing something here?
It's not a bad ability to be able to put in more damage when you move.
Fighters can't uWu full attack like Barbs can so if you have to go over and stab something that's further than 5-10 feet away vital strike is a good one
It's not like Fighters have a dearth of base feats to choose from
Mythic vital strike on two handed fighter or mutagen warrior with mythic weapon specialization plus all other feats (including cleaving finish line) is good. Add improved critical and capstone. You do not need sneak dice.
Its a trap option
holy shit my fps tanked so hard during Drezen siege
>Never thought to open spellbook tab for camelia
>she instantly becomes much more useful afterwards
Why am I so dumb
She is useful, is she not?
Still mediocre even considering that.
Sure, mediocre.
Let me guess, only Lann, Ember, Daeran and Nenio are woth using?
Maybe throw a bone to Sosiel for being domain not?
Technically only Darren (utility) and Nenio (encounter wiping), Ember needs paraphernalia to be good outside of cackling constantly and Lann is disgusting
Just play on normal difficulty and pick whoever you like.
Everyone is viable up to core, even pure classed.
Hard starts filtering a few things
I made Camellia an Ecclesithurge. Now she is helpful.
I made her a feral champion. Worth it for my halfling to get more cushion for the pushin.
Sword Sain 20/Quarterstaff Master 20
Is that the way if I want to achieve ultimate bonk?
Yeah.
You could go two handed warrior to get training and greater focus/specialization
Maybe SS 20/Monk 11/THW 9?
Monk 11 for flurry of blows
Now that I think of it, if you commit to SS, you qualify for fighter feats, so maybe not as vital.
And the progression for the first 20 levels is more important than whatever you stack after that as legend
In a different direction I was thinking of doing Cult Leader 1/Rowdy 11/Cult Leader 20/Rowdy 20 with Irori and exploding enemies with one punch. For Quarterstaff you'd probably still want Cult Leader for the damage dice, if you picked a weapon with bigger base damage dice I might switch cult leader to vivisectionist.
>play caster
>die to a breeze
>don't have fun
>play tanky martial
>entire team exists only to buff me and disable enemies
>have fun
At last I truly see
I mean, your caster could do what the companion does when you played the tank, aka disable enemies and let the rest clean house.
I don't know if anyone else suffers from this but every time I play turn based enemies just fricking home on me like missiles. In RTWP they attack tanks but in turn based they just always focus MC even if there are Nenio, Daeran or Ember closer. And when playing caster I do want to play turn based so it's annoying as frick
> I don't know if anyone else suffers from this but every time I play turn based enemies just fricking home on me like missiles.
Yeah, they started doing it after some major patch a while ago.
>They fixed magical vestments
Nice now monk dipping is even more braindead choice than before, Owlcat are morons
>getting mad because at spells actually working as intended
this fanbase is so moronic.
His issue is that the intention is gay and dumb
What intention? To not allow a level 3 spell to give every fricking character in the game a free +5-10 AC? Magical vestment was cancer. Before it was fixed it was just a tedious mandatory prebuff to apply on frontliners because it's too strong to NOT take. It was literally the strongest buff spell in the game.
Oh I thought he was complaining about monk dipping
Wait, it didn't cap at +5 together with the item enchantment before?
Yep. You could be wearing full plate +5, cast magical vestment, and you'd get another free +5 on top of your existing armor enhancement bonus. I think it works the same with shields, I can't remember though.
Yep, worked for shields too.
Which was hilarious with shield bashing cause the shield had a higher chance to hit than the main weapon
Yeah, that seems silly. Being mad they're fixing it is even more silly.
It's more because it was the one thing armored guys got that was abusive and they take it away(not counting how you could throw it on mage armor too ).
If mythic armor focus was in or something in the first pace, it'd be less relevant
>It's more because it was the one thing armored guys got that was abusive and they take it away
>not counting how you could throw it on mage armor too
so you frame it as being some kind of boon to armored users unfairly taken away, then admit in the same post that actually unarmored users get the full benefit as well via mage armor. HUH?
Not that guy but it's about being viable, pajama tanks will be viable magic vestment or not, armored tanks won't
Isn't that how Greater Magic Weapon worked too
Did they fix that
Greater magic weapon is also broken, and still is, but in a different way. You can currently cast greater magic weapon as a level 8 mage (which should give any weapon a +2 enhancement bonus) on an existing +3 weapon, and it will stack, giving you a +5 weapon as early as level 8, which ruins the itemization of the entire game since finding a true +5 is meaningless now.
>which ruins the itemization of the entire game since finding a true +5 is meaningless now.
Well at least an enhanced +5 doesn't actually count as adamantite
It does save a spell slot, but I like having more emphasis on effs than number
its not as autistic as it was in tabletop where you could also dip int o oracle for things like the heavens mystery which let you cast magical vestment on their magical summoned robe for even more AC
>Want to start a new campaign
>Remember the crusade
Is there any way to skip that shit, it adds like 50 hours of pure boredom
I turn on auto win crusade battles mod
Doesn't work with current version and the mod owner threw an hissy fit about literally nothing and stopped supporting it
You can still use toybox to give yourself 9000 archers or something I guess
Really? It's still working for me on the current version of the game. I literally installed it last night
Is archmage armor an actual thing in pen and paper? Because if so Paizo is much more moronic than i thought
I'll not take ANY build suggestions seriously unless the poster can demonstrate how they perform at each point in the game per level, both with XP sharing off and XP sharing on
>xp sharring off
Can't help ya there, too much hassle for anything after the prologue.
good to know!
I'm going to take EWP Bastard Sword because I love the Blade of REEEEE and you can't stop me
>What are your Season Pass predictions?
Irrelevant "meanwhile elsewhere" second PC 5-hour self-contained adventures.
Isn't pure bow fighter better than ranger?
Fighters might have more unbuffed damage, most of the enemies are Demons so Rangers can focus their favored enemy on demons and Rangers also get an animal companion and some good spells, Sense Vitals especially.
If you're doing ranged fighter, just do thrown weapons with 2WF instead.
hey bros imma dip 1 level into monk 2 into paladin and 1 into vivisectionist

Does playing on core or above, saving, respec just to try something and then reloading the original save break achievements?
man moving around on the world map is not fun at all
What was your most fun playthrough?
The one where I don't worry about doing every sidequest and collecting every item in every area
Is the writing/questing/setting good? I care more about that than gameplay and build autism
writing is mostly passable, sometimes good and often bad
if you're not in it for the build autism the game's probably not for you
Build autism is the only reason to play WOTR, writing is shit, the questing is ok it's only fun as a way to use your build and the setting would have been good if it was more serious but it isn't. The worldwound is a rift in reality the leads directly to hell basically and horde of demon continually spawn in to rape and butcher humanity but everyone tasked with fighting the worldwound treats it like a vacation with constant quipping
>but everyone tasked with fighting the worldwound treats it like a vacation with constant quipping
I hate this. Regill instantly became my favorite companion simply because it felt like he belonged in the setting and actually took it seriously.
That's why you're supposed to play with 4 mercenaries
See that didn't bother me much for the simple fact that the worldwound has existed for nearly a century. Most of your party has never known a life without it being there. So to them it's just normal.
Note how the only party member who actually was around when the Worldwound opened is a perpetually dour lawtist
Not really. The storyline is passable at best with Kenabres getting such a poor introduction I'm legitimately wondering why the game started there at all. Then the campaign to retake Drezen is a never ending slog because your soldiers are complete shit and you need the magister General just to fricking survive by spamming fireballs. The questing is alright though, just play with mercenaries whenever you get the chance.
The setting also kind of sucks. The companions treat the world wound more like a frat boy's spring break with constant Whedon quipps that take you out of the experience with your soldiers constantly deserting unless you execute them like a Soviet Commissar. Then your CO gets cold feet and deserts to get a sex exchange with only Regill, the only decent guy, pointing out how much of a trainwreck the 'Crusade' is.
>Then your CO gets cold feet and deserts to get a sex exchange with only Regill, the only decent guy, pointing out how much of a trainwreck the 'Crusade' is.
Huh?
The half-orc, your second in command, deserts after the Gargoyle attack. You then find her, post-op, in a trendy city. It's amazing how shit the characters are.
>The companions treat the world wound more like a frat boy's spring break with constant Whedon quipps that take you out of the experience
If you don't want companions to make a joke every five minutes then maybe try not using walking quipsters like Daeran and Lann
Maybe I'm autistic but I don't see how that relates to using mercenaries.
They don't have any acting, that's the point.
Why does everyone refer to Ember as "little" or "girl" or both when she's the third oldest member of the party and eight feet tall
Even Camellia just referred to her "grubby little face" when I'm pretty sure Ember has like 2 whole feet of height on her
Because people don't care about talking down to the mentally challenged.
that's right frickface
I pick the evil dialogue choices when interacting with Ember.
>As he sees you, Regill throws his fist in the air. Despite some claw wounds, he's chipper and full of fighting spirit.
Actually reading the dialogue this playthrough is neat. I figured that Regill was the sort of guy where the only emotion he would ever display is if he successfully apprehended some sort of chaosgay, at which point he would have an expression of satisfaction on his face and he would allow himself a pinch of snuff.
He is still a Gnome who, while undergoing the Bleaching, is still not all the way gone. And likely just being around all of this Mythic energy is enough to brighten him up a bit more, so to speak.
My favorite part was him mentioning how he is about to smile for the 4th time ever
>>DLC 1

You know what's the fun way to play this game? Just download toybox and toggle that the little box that says "infinite spell casts" and don't tell me i'm cheating becouse all of you go for a beauty nap after you run out of your favorite spells.
I don't nap until everyone's exhausted
You're taking away all of the advantages the Kineticists have if you do that.
Make sure you give spells a cooldown determined by their caster level and the spell level.
>implying I use spells other than 24 hour buffs from the designated buffbot
I don't need to nap more than once even in the biggest dungeons
>ToB-like expansion

Why Arcanist is bad class? What about nature Arcanist?
It's not a bad class per se, it's just really no reason to take it over a sorcerer, which gains bloodline powers or a wizard which gets spell specialization. Brown Fur is a notable exception of course and one of the best support classes in the game.
Oh so it's not terrible, just outclassed. My thought process was, having dual stats for a caster is fricking terrible. Especially if you want exploits for damage and not support.
Just pick exploits for support then. homosexual.
>you want exploits for damage
Tbh I just wanted to spam magic missle untill enemy dies from boredom.
Wrong game for that. Anything but DC casters are terrible, and even that is sub-optimal compared to a team of properly built martials.
Did you just assumed I'm gonna do this on core difficulty?
Dunno anon. I don't want to play as ent. But I consider Arcane Enforcer as option for martial playtrough.
>Did you just assumed I'm gonna do this on core difficulty?
Game is boring as hell on anything below that, so I would hope so.
Fine. But when I faill, I'm going to blame the game.
Thanks for advices.
>dial up difficulty
>whine about certain spells becoming weaker
Why do people do this?
Desperate to whine about something.
I suspect it's more of a validation thing, the need to feel badass for tackling higher difficulty.
Sadly it comes at the cost of looking down on cool aspects of the game.
I personally don't, because I don't play with blasting parties in the first place. When it comes to difficulty, I think it's good to find a sweet spot where the enemies don't explode into giblets simply from being looked at, while simultaneously not requiring extensive meta knowledge. For this game that sweet spot is core to hard difficulty.
>I don't play with blasting parties in the first place.
Because you think they are too weak. Even though it's your fault you turned up the difficulty level.
No, I don't think they're fun to play as regardless. Them being weak in comparison to good martials in addition to needing several levels and mythic ranks to become viable is incidental.
Yeah Anon, it just sounds like you're b***h who harms yourself, and whine about being harmed.
Just play Arcanist then.
Swift Consume has direct impact on the action economy and gives you free healing so long as you have potions.
Greater Spell Resistance makes so you have 31 spell resistance at level 20. A level 20 opponent would need to roll 12 on the dice20 to get past your free spell resistance.
I don't see the standard wizard have that perk.
You can go for from the opposite sirection as well.
The Slayer class has the Arcane Enforcer option, which makes you a full 20 BAB martial class, but you get 7 exploits which makes you far more tanky than any other martial classes.
Armored Mask
Energy Shield
Shadow Veil
Spell Resistance
Swift Consume
Wooden Flesh
Greater Spell Resistance
Have you tried to combine 20 level Arcanist with 20 levels of Arcane Enforcer?
The Arcanist unlocks greater exploits at level 11.
The Enforcer adds another 7 Exploits.
>legend caster
Pointless IMo.
But dude! You can get 17 out of all 22 Exploits.
18 if you add 1 level of Exploiter Wizard.
But why would you want that when potent magic is all you need to make a good buffbot?
There is literally no reason for every enemy to have high resistances and stats. Makes every encounter feel like a chore and no fun at all. Pathfinder games are made for autists who hate fun and think that every combat situation should be a challenge. It sad really because we need more dnd styled videogames.
>There is literally no reason for every enemy to have high resistances and stats.
They do not.
>he fell for the blaster trap
Game is trivial with buffed melee characters.
>pathfinder is le bad
>but in same time - muh DnD is le good
???
This is exactly the same logic in every Pillars game. You don't even get XP.
I just play on normal
White Mage is OP as frick.
You get free Spell resistance from the Arcanist.
You get healing from the divine spells.
The White mage is literally better than the clerics and Druids.
In 1 round, you can cast a healing spell on a friend.
+ you can use swift action to heal yourself with a potion thanks to Swift Consume.
A cleric or a druid would have spend 2 rounds to do what the White Mage can do in 1 round.
>healing in combat
8 best White Mage Exploits?
Swift Consume
Spell Resistance
Greater Spell Resistance
Dimensional Slide
Ice Missile
Icy Tomb
Wooden Flesh
Energy Shield
I did that all of the time in BG2.
>I did that all of the time in BG2.
Git gud
>combat healing outside of Heal or Mass Heal
Disgusting
Famous last words from thousands of D&D players who got wiped out by the dungeon master.
They got wiped because the cleric wasted his turn healing instead of dropping a big fat L on the enemy team
No, but you're still being illogical because the White mage can still cast all of the offensive spells and crowd control spells, while healing himself with swift action.
That will always be another layer of safety which the other classes don't have.
I don't like the lich path origins. Feels incredibly lazy to put the big dick necromancer inside of drezen with the knowledge to make any creature a lich. Even those without magic...
Am I the only one thinking that Enduring Spells and Greater Enduring Spells are kinda shit and a waste of mythics?
It doesn't work on the shit that matters (1 round per level spells) anyways and for the 1 minute per level you have extend rods
It's great for putting on fire resistance before walking into a red dragon ambush.
It's funny for merged book shenanigans and for making certain buff spells rest even beyond a rest, but it's mostly QoL for easier difficulties usually
>It doesn't work on the shit that matters (1 round per level spells)
It does, just not if you have a double digit iq.
How? Even on level 20 it's barely 120 seconds - 2 minutes. 4 minutes if you extend it. Still not the 5 minutes required for GES
Does it have something to do with merged spellbooks? With CL 28 and extend metamagic you end up with >5 minute spells for 1 round/lvl
I would go absolutely insane if I had to cast a bunch of min/level spells over and over, so no. It's also not as if there's really any other good mythic abilities I miss on the characters I usually take it on, like Daeran or Camellia.
>made Lann a druid again
Erastil forgive me
I hate druids. Giving Valerie druid levels in Kingmaker crippled her ability to wear heavy armor. It was the worst mistake of my life.
Why would you do this? Doesn't she have shit WIS?
Get another pet for the pet army.
Then why didn't you take feyspeaker dumbass.
I did. But that's still a druid. And I hate druids now.
You know that boon companion feat, right. You should have at least turn her into ranger to not completely cripple her.
I don't like to duplicate classes across companions. Cloning multiple rangers without at least making them a subclass feels like an exploit.
Well, if you were not a moronic, you could have made valerie herself a leopard with mirror image and made her a great tank while still having a pet
>Giving Valerie druid levels
Are you insane? She is Kinetic Knight.
People said animal pets were strong, so I made lots of animal pets. Deal with it.
And now I hate Druids.
Why Druid and not Ranger/Demonslayer? Both get the pet and barkskin, but the ranger also gets favoured enemy and combat feats.
Drovier has this neat party animal aspect going for him. Besides, you can add one level of demon slayer and still have good levels with boon companion for the monitor lizard.
Is there a reason why I shouldn't simply make Ember a Winter Witch and grab all those free Winter Witch bonuses?
It looks like I lose the Grand Hexes, and Major Hexes. Would that be a problem?
You can't select a second patron with Mythics and you need the Winter Patron to qualify.
What a shame. I just found out I only miss out on grand hexes by adding Winter Witch levels.
I mean you can technically get it with multiclassing shaman and having winter witch advance her witch spellbook then kill everything with super high dc polar midnight but she doesn't get access to polar ray or icy prison without the ice witch patron.
So is Camellia the better candidate for Winter Which?
Honestly the best party member to make a winter witch is probably Lann.
That would cripple his BAB. No thanks.
Winter Witch doesn't help Ember spam Hellfire Ray, which is literally the only reason to use her outside of hexes.
>Hellfire Ray, which is literally the only reason to use her outside of hexes.
But she can only cast 4 of those per day. That kid of sucks.
How bad is Woljif as a brown fur? Losing three levels really sucks, but his stats aren't terrible for it otherwise.
First time playing through market square on core. How are you supposed to get passed the damage resistance the vrock and shadow demon have? Even when I hit with cold iron weapons I'm doing 0.
>vrock
just don't summon it
And I think Slumber works on shadow demon
Just put some buffs and pray any debuff will actually connect. Depending on you party you can put this two fights on hold and get more levels. Which eh, make a difference.
It's a good idea to do woljif quest immediately and get finnean
smite evil
But most classes don't even have smite evil!
If you are having trouble on core buy and use scrolls from Rathimus. Nothing like a level 5 spell buff to make fights easier.
I replayed kingmaker for a couple hours and forgot how slow the leveling was, I'm glad it was much faster in wotr
Holy shit hexes are fricking busted
Is Ember still hexing allies when autocasting? that bug was annoying
Wait. It was a bug? I thought it's "cool" side effect of her curse.
Infinite casts all day every day.
Witches, Shamans, Kineticists, the long mileage team.
Too bad the only good offensive ones past act 2 are the 1 round on fail ones that you can extend on cackle since at best they are gonna have a DC of 30 at level 20.
It's absolutely madness that Paizo allowed one of the Slayers to become powerful a spellcaster.
First and foremost they are still full BAB.
But on top of that they are allowed all sorts of buffs and spell resistances, and can even cast offensive spells to the tune of 10D6 and 10D8.
AND they can swift action potion heal themselves like the White mage can.
The Arcane Enforce class is designed extremely well.
They have though about Swift Action Studied Target clashing with Swift Action Consume potion.
So they removed Swift Action Studied Target and replaced it with Uncanny Dodge, which is an incredible trade.
Activation of Studied Target always happen upon Sneak Attacks anyway, so it's a loss of an ability that isn't really needed, and Uncanny Dodge is far more valuable.
Additionally it could be argued that Swift Action Consume potion is not just healing potions, it's ALL potions, offensive/defensive, so much so that it will always be the better course of action than Swift Action Studied Target.
In the end Slayer vs Arcane Enforcer boils down to:
-- 7 Arcanist Exploits (includes the ability to swift action all potions)
-- Uncanny Dodge
vs.
-- 3 Slayer Talents
-- Quarry / Improved Quarry
If we're being generous and pretend Swift Action Consume potion is only worth 1 Slayer Talent.
Then we can safely say Uncanny Dodge is worth 1 Slayer Talent.
That leaves us with:
-- 6 Arcanist Exploits
vs.
-- 1 Slayer Talents
-- Quarry / Improved Quarry
I don't see how the basic Slayer can keep up in value vs the Arcane Enforcer.
Quarry is nice an al since it autoconfirms all Critical threat rollsl, but you get it so late.
I don't see how it's worth as much as 6 Arcanist Exploits, which includes things like Spell Resistance, Teleportation, concealment, Energy Shield, Damage Reduction.
The Arcane Enforcer is like the deal of the century.
>-- 7 Arcanist Exploits (includes the ability to swift action all potions)
Useless, just make a companion into a buffbot like a normal person. Also what fricking potions are you drinking mid-battle?
>-- Uncanny Dodge
Extremely overrated and not needed.
>Also what fricking potions are you drinking mid-battle?
How about potion of blur for example? Just spells that could be useful mid battle in general.
Pointless when fights usually won't go beyond 3 rounds.
Why would you do that when most of the companions are geared toward being buffbots with a severe lack of actually good damage dealers?
>with a severe lack of actually good damage dealers
You can create any damage dealers you want because now you no longer need those buffers anymore.
With an inferior stat block to both yourself and your companions?
People use mercenaries without problems. So what?
>Pointless when fights usually won't go beyond 3 rounds.
What if someone crits on you? Do you really have to be autistic and insist that healing should be done only after batte?
Yeah, it's not like you'll have a bunch of companions with channels or access to mass heal or anything.
Wait, weren't you the guy who insisted those companions should be killing the opponents instead of healing you?
No, I'm saying you should build your own guy for damage by getting as many combat feats as possible, rather than getting a bunch of buffs and heals your other party members are already specced out for.
The healing potions didn't cost any feats, what the hell are you even babbling about?
>he isn't downing rounds/level divine self buffs as a swift action
Divine Favor, Divine Power, Eaglesoul, Holy Sword to name a few plus there's reactive self targetting ones like Cleanse.
>just make a companion into a buffbot like a normal person.
What if you want make a party without a buffbot? Well now it's not so useless anymore.
On second thought, this might not be true.
>Additionally it could be argued that Swift Action Consume potion is not just healing potions, it's ALL potions, offensive/defensive, so much so that it will always be the better course of action than Swift Action Studied Target.
Swift Action Studied Target is pretty much the Evil Eye Hex on turbo drugs. It always applies, never fails, and opponents can't save against it.
So it is a pretty big loss to lose it, as it will help you get in that first hit.
So basically the Slayer is more attack oriented.
Arcane Enforcer is super defensive oriented.
A potion of Divine Power at CL 20 gives +6 to attacks and damage as a luck bonus which bumps to +11 once you get studied target off a sneak attack hitting. The actual argument against it is that you lose Quarry to play the class which means -2 to attack rolls and no autoconfirming crits.
i want to domestically abuse arue
i want to judge arue on account of her warcrimes, but she’s a mary sue character so owlshits won’t let me
>warcrimes
Succubi are irregulars and therefore not subject to the protection of the laws of war, so they're just regular demon crimes, feel free to execute her
That's not very LAWtist thing to say. We must create a set of laws for demons and enforce it.
Where are all the mods for this game? Kingmaker has a bunch of them that add spells, races, classes, feats, etc., but WotR has... Toybox and TabletopTweaks?

I've been theorycrafting an ice kineticist but it seems like their damage output is kind of garbage compared to an archer, isn't it?
>tfw too dumb for kineticist
Click Deadly Earth.
Does deadly earth need the additional Tripping infusion to actually trip the opponent?
Or is that built-in for the deadly earth by default?
>be ice
>don't get deadly earth
>half your damage is piercing and therefore subject to DR
>be air
>think fire would be cool, too
>plasma composite blast frick yeah
>half is physical damage for whatever reason
yo what in the FRICK
where did THIS shit come from?
when that big patch/enhanced edition thing comes out im definitely playing with some of these
hopefully it all gets updated to work with EE
>romanceable Areelu
Now I'll buy your game.
I'm on the fence for playing this game, I'm a fan of CRPGs and want something to sink my teeth into, although I find things like DOS2 to be a little slow for my liking in terms of the combat. I like the idea of the RTS gameplay in the pathfinder series, is this one worth playing as an entry point?
Is Vital Strike SUPPOSED to Cleaving Finish/Great Cleaving Finish? Because that seems unintended.
I like it, but I primarily play turn based.
Just torrent it and see for yourself…
How moronic is it it to start as Eldrich Font/Arcanist to then transition into Lich. A better base class available? I've heard mixed things and I've played up to the defense of the Defender's Heart, don't REALLY wanna start over except if the build is fully fricked.
Arcanists don't get more spell slots to put their additional lich spells in. So it ends up pretty sub-par despite a merged spellbook.
Ahh well, there's a respecc option rather soon I gather? Should I just go for pure Wizard or Sorc.?
How would you rank the mythic paths, both from a power perspective and a narrative perspective?
power is wonky because some paths are clearly better for some classes (legend/trickster for martials, azata for blasters etc.)
narrative:
>Main Characters of mythics tier
Angel
Demon
>Fleshed out tier
Lich
Azata
Trickster
>At least it's not Devil/GD tier
Legend
Swarm
>Devil/GD tier
Devil
GD
Not counting specific build synergy, but toolset given:
>S
Angel, Lich. Even without mergin, shit given is too much.
>A
Azata, Demon. Azata ranks higher than demon due to caring far less about resources, giving free super pet and a decent spellbook. Demon has incredible ceiling, but demonic rage, limited spellbook and party support keep it lower
>B
Aeon, Trickster
Aeon is a bit better with it's progression, spellbook and party support.
Still, specific builds from every mythic are S tier. Some are baby easy mode to do, like merged spellbooks Angel and Lich. Others come together a bit later like certain Martial trickster builds. But unless you play above core, synergy between class and mythic is not that critical
Witch lich, hex channeller or leyline guardian? Agility, ancestors or shadow patron? Questions, questions...
Winter witch Lich.
>4 of the Paladin subclasses don't have Smite Evil
What on earth were Pazio thinking....
Hmm they were probably meant for some other settings/regions of the world, but still. RIP.
Martyr, Divine Scion, Stone lord and...? Some like Hospitaler get less smites and some lose mark of justice like Divine Hunter, but that is different
>Hospitaler get less smites
Yeah, that's pretty bad as well.
It was cute in kingmaker since you get far less evil enemies to use it with in the first place, but yeah ,for this campaign, stick with base paladin
But there is already a paladin for the group. Maybe go martyr instead and be a frontline bard instead? Angel comes with fast healing so the bleeding damage shouldn't tickle.
She is a lv 1 paladin with stats spread all over. Make her a bard, skald, deliverer, freebooter, cavalier, battle oracle, monk or whatever.
Unless you go full moron and play stonelord, then have her stay as one
>there is already a paladin
There are no chaotic good paladins
I'm still confused about divine scion. Even for RP purposes he seems really awkward.
It's kind of like a spectrum I think.
Paladin ---- Divine scion --- Deliverer ---- Slayer
Yeah, but if you want holy flavour "brains before faith" Deliverer got you covered. Or even Inquisitor. Honestly Idk he seems not really divine to me.
The roleplaying is similar, but the Deliverer has more customizable talents to bypass some STR/DEX prerequisites.
And the Divine Scion has some abilities which you can't select via feats.
So where's the actual list of changes for the "Enhanced Edition"?
It's coming in ten days right?
No it's coming late September
No, we get the 3d dlc.
Try 58 days for enhanced edition
Crit mitigation is always nice, but I feel if you wanted to pretty much tank, you'd pick a different class
Nevermind, I mistook the Stonelord for the Student of Stone. That's the one that's matches with 4 Rogue levels
Romance queen or arue on my good legend run?
arue
>good
>arue
if good is wearing skin dresses to you then go ahead
i didn't tell you to corrupt her
i do tell you to find out about that roastie's backstory, it's a wild ride
>Nooooo the succubus did evil things I'm going insane she had sex the sjws are coming to get me!
who are you quoting?
NTA but probably you. It's a succubus. A literal sex demon. Did you think she was going to be a virgin? kek
Desna made her virgin so she can experience how special the first time is. That's what I say, so it's true.
Eh, her wings, eyes and soul are regenerated. What's to say her hymen isn't too?
I've just noticed the Starknife in the background.
How would you make a starknife using character that wasn't complete ass?
Monk/Knife Master?
You just do? There are decent starknives in the game
What about punching daggers?
Why would you punch daggers
i dont get this weapon at all, it looks like it would just break your fingers
no way was this a real thing
They existed, they're just not remotely medieval. Some people say that push daggers are related to katars from India. They're liars.
yeah, but this thing makes a lot more sense, the blow is absorbed into your palm Vs the one in the OP the fingerbone absorbs it
The real question is how the frick do you wield it?
very carefuly
Like a chakram.
Warpriest? They increase the damage of their favorite weapon.
i made an illidan attempt and i used warpriest to make the dice not complete shit, you can beat the game on core with any dual wielding weapon bc of the shared geniekind and elemental barrage
I find it amusing that she looks prettier in her redeemed picture whereas in her reverted pic she looks like worn out brothel mama.
Probably the point, ascending Arue is naturally pretty while fallen Arue chain smokes and drinks constantly
It's the clothes. Succubus just don't get it.
can desna regenerate skin of her victims that she used for that dress though
she's CN when you meet her and CG when you redeem her. the only way she'd make a skin dress is by corrupting her back to CE. good arue fits with a good legend, she even helps redeem you on the demon path
I would prefer wearing skin dresses to the hedonism and chaos of not wearing anything. That is Law.
Why did they make her Espionage Expert?
I wish she was a Stormwalker instead...
Arue and play demon
This
CUTE.
She is
I kind of want to go demon now just so I can let her pull me back.
What do I pick to redeem myself in chapter 5 though?
It's either legend or GD, but legend gets extra scenes since you actually have to pass skill checks unlike GD
I dont recall aru saying that and we were basically romancing. I wonder if its because I fricked cam or maybe I dont remember
Multiple romances don't matter until the ultimatum in act 5
This 12 foot tall HA HA JUSTICE goober is giving me big time death flags
He's a good boy. You can save him
Why can't we romance Darrazand
What class that's not paladin feels the most like main character?
fighter, wizard, sorcerer, barbarian and bloodrager
Fighter (Human Flail)
Clearing up Kenabres before assaulting the Gray Garrison rn and so far, I've honestly only come to like Daeran and Camellia out of the available companions. Is there an unga orc/dwarf later down the line? I'm only looking to swap out le reddit scientist and paladin queen latifah. I've seen someone mention Wenduag to be a capable tank?
>unga orc/dwarf
theres a Slayer dwarf eventually and a undead warpriest (i think) dwarf for Lich, but no orcs
>took queen on crusade with me
>can no longer become a bug
i hope they put all the changes and new stuff in the EE patch notes, just vague descriptions of whats new would be fine and not:
>we added more Lich content you guys, cant tell you what cause that would be spoilers tho 😉
and then its a single sodoku puzzle in the middle of Treshold that makes your character go "glad im already dead or this puzzle would have bored me to death! badabum tish *laugh track*"
Should I get Call of the Wild or Eldritch Arcana for Kingmaker? I remember preferring the latter because it gave you the ability to get rid of grease and other AoE spells.
That mod does something super weird to your installation folder. The first time you launch the game, it will lag for several minutes at the loading bar before the game can even get into the menu.
And I say this as someone who has an SSD in the computer.
For experiment's sake, you should load the stop watch app in your smartphone.
Countdown how fast your default kingmaker loads into the Title menu.
The install the mod, load up the game once and let it do its thing.
Then disable the mod.
The load up the game again to compare loading time and see if something was permanently altered by the Mod.
Let us know what you find.
there is a separate mod that allows you to dismiss spells, just pick that up
Does having mercs result in lower XP gains?
No.
Same xp split for 8 party members and 18
>Round 18 tavern defense
When does it end?
Use real time mode and it'll go quicker
As much as I love turn based I turn on RWTP for the tavern defense and the Drezen mythic power moment where you're running along the walls like a goober
When you killed all arsonists and demons.
>MC dies to a crit after 30 minutes as soon as the minotaur spawns
Desna save me
The key to Tavern defense is to spend less time doing moving action,
and spend more time dealing full attack action, and spellcasting.
Also, having a pet right there and then helps tremendously.
Isn't the Rowdy pretty much the supreme class of all melee classes during level 1-3 when they all are stuck with 1 attack per round?
Eldritch Scion Magus gets 3 attacks per round and any human martial can just start with Cleave and walk around with a glaive.
>-2 malus on a non full bab class early on
If you have a bard, sure
Kinda, but considering you hit 3 a bit after prologue, it does not matter as much.
A slayer who gets study immediately or a barbarian may be considered to have even better early pay of
How do enemies avoid all damage from a fireball when it says a reflex save can only reduce the damage by half?
Resistances/immunity or evasion (like rogue )
Ghouls all have uncanny dodge so they take no damage on a succesful save and demons/gargoyles all have resistance so they cut the damage in half with a succesful save then resist it down to 0. The game is willing to give you a staff of fireballs in act 2 because the spell is so useless.
>Ghouls all have uncanny dodge
That's really dangerous, it means you can't surround them to force the flanking and enabling sneak attack.
So all builds that hinges on sneak attack automatically crumbles.
mixed it up with evasion although they have both depending on the type of ghoul since the game just gives em a bunch of rogue levels.
Evasion negates damage from AoE. Uncanny dodge is about flanking. And ghouls crumble with or without it either way
They have evasion like a rogue.
Does the Tome of Clear Thought act as an actual stat increase, or is it a bonus type? Like if I eat it, does it actually grant +1 skill point per level?
it's an inherent bonus so yes to skill points but don't give it to your PC since you'll get an elixir of +2 to all stats and you can't get two inherent bonuses afaik.
Can I NTR Reg to death while still marrying the twins?
No, unless you cheat.
What a shame. Thanks.
Does Regill "side" with you no matter what if you're Angel, even if you're a bleeding heart?
Why would he not side with an angel? Both are lawful and he hates chaosgays.
Isn't he is ok with demon tho?
Yoo speak like a moron so i wont waste my time conversing with you. Goodbye.
B-but blease come back, I need your infinite wisdom. O, knowledgeable one. You can't just walk away like that... Why you have to be so cruel? Blease, stay. I swear I'm not gonna talk in moron again. Ever.
Because angels don't go around spreading lawtism nor are they evil and pragmatic, he doesn't support angel, but he isn't against it either.
what melee, non-reach weapon would thematically work with priest of Erastil?
I've been thinking about spear, quarterstaff or scythe
Scythe seems most fitting since erastil is the main god of farmerchads
Scythe is great for finishing off sleeping enemies with it's x4 critical.
What's the strongest Mythic for Sword Saint?
The strongest for Sylvan Sorcerer?
Gishes love Trickster, and crit fishers even more so. Can convfirm however that Angel gets pretty moronic to and it's nice to have divine self buffs and being immune to everything later. And obviously martials work well if you go legend later.
Sorcerers are moronic with lich merged book. If you want to reach the highest cc or blasting ceiling , it's technically demon, but you would pick a different archetype or wizard.
For non evil easymode CC and blasting, Azata works specacualrly. Favorable magic and zippy magic cover everything you need.
Angel and Aeon bullshit comes a bit late in comparison
Sounds good.
I want to go Azata for my Sylvan Sorc but I was thinking of saving Angel for my Oracle run rather than Sword Saint run.
I don't really like the concept of Trickster to be honest.
>I'm le Jonker he he so funny
Not my thing. I was thinking Aeon or Gold Dragon for that one.
I don't like being evil either. I would like to try being a Lich though. Also, not sure which Mythic I want for an Elementalist run...
Trickster can be pretty funny because some of your 'le funny jokes' are horrifying.
But yes most of it cringeworthy.
Gold Dragon is okay but you're going to be play a different path for 99% of the game. Same with swarm and devil. They arent paths so much as last minute swaps.
Oh I see. Alright then.
Is there any point to playing say a Lightning Kineticist?
I figure all the demons will be immune to lightning lol.
I like Lightning more but guess I will just pick Earth.
Ascendant element
Yea but what am I supposed to do until I get Ascendant Element?
I made a lightning Kinetic Knight and literally couldn't do anything early game Dretches.
You get it at the end of act 1 so it's not that far in, until then suck it up or play other class and then respec
Yea seems to be the case.
Is respec fixed now?
Yes
Wow nice. Thanks!!
Okay last question, is enemy DR gonna be a big problem for a physical Kineticist?
Do I pretty much have to take Metal if I want to do any damage?
https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/The+Covenant+of+the+Inheritor
Ooo very nice.
Thanks!
Ignore this, it belongs to the Queen and you need to gift it to her when presented with the opportunity.
Frick off Galfrey
Oh really?
Do I have any other way of getting past DR then?
Giving it to her isn't necessary, it doesn't give you anything and it doesn't even affect her romance.
Does it really do nothing story wise?
Besides feeling good with yourself, no.
Also the item had a bug that made it toggle itself off every time you enter a new area, I don't know if they fixed it or not because I always play with the TTT mod which includes fix.
what is the TTT mod?
Tabletop tweaks
Is it like a big overhaul?
Yes
https://github.com/Vek17/TabletopTweaks-Core
This mod looks super good.
Thank you so much!
I wouldn't recommend it if you're playinf for the first time
Really? Why not?
Meteor Swarm is my fave spell and I'm bummed that it's not in.
Is there any mod that adds it?
Why should I give away a powerful relic like that to some queen anyway? She always gets anything and everything she wants, including immortality potions.
I'm just some poor dude, struggling to get by.
I'm referring to your constant begging for spoilers because you're afraid of building your own Kineticist.
I am looking for ways to build a good kineticist.
Research is important.
>I can't build a good kineticist without spoiling the whole story of the game
This is a loser's argument Anon. Don't be like that.Have some courage to make decisions on your own.
I'm not looking for spoilers. Just to optimal resources to make my build.
>I'm not looking for spoilers
Well, you just received a shit load of them.
All I know is that apparently there is some relic that you can give to the queen.
I just think it's one of those mods you add after playing the game once and getting the "pure" experience, but if you don't care go ahead
not him, but i read a post saying it makes it easier for her to survive, maybe its one of the flags for that
Nah it doesn't, Galfrey's survival involves Irabeth, the lexicon and the choices you have to make at Iz
You're ruining the story for yourself because you're too insecure to make decisions that might not make you the most powerful OP demon killer in the universe.
Demon elemental immunities literally do not matter with Ascendant Element
The idea of a negative energy kineticist lich sounds neat to me but it seems to be a drag until you get there unless you drop a respec once you're in the position to become that.
You get Gold Dragon early on in chapter 5. So it's more like 90% not 99% come on now be fair.
All of them are early on in act 5 besides devil
Gold dragon does get a lot of kino lines when dealing with demon mommy.
Which makes it that much more annoying you can't ascend with her as GD.
I believe they ran out of time because it's the same with Swarm and swarm actually had confirmed ascension dialogue that was cut
Lads is there a way to make your lich mentor actually like you instead of having to beg him like a b***h for your phylactery.
Im seething right now
Some other anon said you can nab his philactery first
Be his b***h and say yes massa all the time and do all your sacrifices
when you meet him dont say the dialogue option that is basically you saying you have power over him cause you have his phylactery
generally dont be rude
pick his throne room options when there are choices (might not be needed)
when you get back from the demon realm and you have the option to chose either the necrochick or the vampire to be on your team, kill them both
during the ritual dont back down from any of the steps, its fine to not have a romance at all
i think thats all, theres probably guides to it out there, but everything is just a matter of listening to his teachings and following them without being a c**t
he will initially try to blackmail, but you can remind him that you were the perfect student and tell him to calm the frick down
he feels ashamed afterwards and pic related
he sticks around as undead advisor too, helps out in Treshold and i believe there was also a ending slide talking about how he stuck around
I want to see a compilation of all the different romance options for the sacrifice. Also reminder that he makes you kill your love interest for litteraly no reason other than the luls
>when you meet him dont say the dialogue option that is basically you saying you have power over him cause you have his phylactery
Kek anyone who is playing evil especially a lich is going to pick this
lol yeah i did too first run
i unlearnt picking all dialogue options autism the hard way
>Perfect Strike
>If the sword saint confirms a critical hit, he can instead spend 2 points from his arcane pool to increase his weapon’s critical multiplier by 1.
So the Sword Saint get his +1 crit multiplyer at level 4.
The Barbarian can get his by level 16.
Can this be exploited?
>forced to take 16 levels of barbarian
No exploit will be worth this.
can i add as many mod portraits as i want to this game or is it gonna violently shit itself if i go too ham?
i fricking love making characters around what i see in the portraits, always run with almost full merc party and use the Toybox option that lets me hear companion dialogue without them being in the party
It takes a bot of time to load the folder the first time with 800 portraits, but it's fine.
At some point it's going to shit itself. When that is depends on your computer.
Hopefully new edition will make the game interesting enough for a replay, new Overlord season is making me boney
It's a free patch that includes everything. So probably not much will change since it's free.
I'm pretty sure they are trying to get in all the crap they had to cut from the original release to fit schedule. Stuff like Pharasma's forces showing up to kick lich's teeth in during rank 8 mythic that you can trigger with toybox.
Pharasma's herald attacking has been activated months for months
if they don't put all the lich cut content like the israelites they are i'm shitting on their cyprus doorstep
What cut content?
Point blank master is a super gay feat and it sucks
Why?
I can understand it not being a priority or angry it's locked to fighter and zen archer
Pretty sure Rangers and Slayers can get it too, but anyway my problem with it is that it completely invalidates the AOO mechanic. If my archer is in a Glabrezu's threatened area and there's a cultist evoker over there I want to kill, I can just... kill the cultist evoker. By the same token if there's a cultist slayer on the other side of the map with his laser sight planted right between Ember's eyes, the only fix is to kill him with my own ranged attackers - I can't dash a melee fighter up there to threaten him.
Now this isn't a comment on balance - it's not like point blank master breaks the game. I just don't like that it's one more thing that invalidates AOOs.
Simply find some other build that don't depend on AoO so much.
If you're up against a master archer, you're going to have to deal with that sort of thing.
That's what I like about these games.
Stealthed enemies move slow as shit, as they deserve to do. Because when I steal I also get that penalty.
>Simply find some other build that don't depend on AoO so much
No anon, it's not about the build, it's about the universal mechanic. A build that depends on AOO would be something like a duelist parry build (which relies on getting hit in melee) or a Greater Trip build. I'm specifically whining about how everyone and their mother has PBM by Chapter 3. EVERYONE is a master archer (except the specific enemy type Cultist Archer, who die in one hit at that point and are just rarely appearing chaff). And sure, you could say that this makes sense for the game's higher power levels. My complaint is solely that I don't like how it makes the game feel, a subjective complaint, therefore it is super gay and it sucks.
Protection from arrows.
>be ember
>get laser sights planted on you by slayer
>"oh, he seems to like lasers"
>cast empowered, bolstered scorching ray on slayer
>"he seems to like it, look how he dances! makes me happy that he's happy"
>he didn't spec Ember as a healer on purpose
>as a joke
She has the blood of gold and brass dragons in her. Would be a shame not to tap into that.
Immediately specced her into oracle and she can do both
shes a really good and fleshed out companion
really like how you can influence her personality over the course of the game, i made her lawful last run and i really liked her personality after that
too bad she never really gets any lines after taht or even a special lawful ending
heres hoping for the EE
How do you make ember go psycho
Please don't do that. That's mean.
Speaking of super gay things, will Regill be crippled if I start burning feats into sword and board type stuff? I want to do this on the grounds that gnome hooked hammers suck willy. Aesthetically. They're pretty good in the game.
>DEMONS, prelate
I was wondering why a random voice-actorless guard had to that hard in the opening, but now I know why.
>"DEMONS could be here" he thought, "I've never been in the underground before. There could be DEMONS anywhere." The cool wind felt good against his armored chest. "I HATE DEMONS" he thought. Kenabres in Flames reverberated his platemail, making it pulsate even as the 9 copper moonshine circulated through his powerful thick veins and washed away his (merited) fear of demonic entities after dark. "With a horse, you can go anywhere you want" he said to himself, out loud.
Is anyone else tickled by the fact that no matter what kind of Commander you're playing, your autism is so severe that the moment you hear someone is a merchant or trader of any kind, you get the prompt "SHOW ME YOUR WARES"
what else do you want them to say? SHOW ME YOUR WARES Black person if you are a CE commander?
>Gimme shit for free or die
If you are demon, I guess?
Dunno. It
At least in chapter 5 where you are a demon
shit for free or die
>Uh no sweetie you still have to pay for it due to game balancing 🙂
your move?
Please?
>kill merchant
>he has five gold and a dagger on him
>no wares anywhere in sight
I'm more specifically referring to the fact that you can say it to Lann's mom
hello potion seller
FINE I WILL SHOW YOU MY WARES
They are adapting it from a conversation game where you usually just have a chat with the dungeon master about what items you want to buy while you're not playing the session.
How the frick is Smilodon still bugged
What bug?
Maybe EE will allow me to merge spellbooks of Dirge Bard and Lich. I would love it.
>permanent negative levels in act 1
>limited restoration scrolls
