Left render is so obviously made by chinks, they just can't help themselves with the sameface even when they're trying their hardest.

      Anonymous

The render might have been made by chinks, however, the model itself is the official one that will be used in the game.
Notice how the hair in this render is different to the one in the trailer, because the hair in the trailer is how it will look in game.
Also the croc in the trailer is the exact same model as the one in the released screenshot from the game, also proving this is the real Naked Snake model.

Kojima has no say and Hayter is willing to take pay cuts, which means more money for Konami, he is definitely back.

      Anonymous

Hayter is not seeing any money from the remake, Konami owns his recordings for MGS3 and they are reusing them.
The only ones seeing any money are the codec cast as they are probably rerecording some lines because of the new controls.

What was the Hayter Kojima drama again? I missed it.

Kojima never liked Hayter's performance, he has been trying to replace him since the original, he finally decided to do it in V, which is why Hayter doesn't like Kojima.

I don't mind Keifer's performance at all. He just haven't got any lines at all! You see Kojima saying in interviews that he was supposed to convey much more with his facial expressions than with words, really stupid decision in retrospect.

    Screencap this post:

Metal Gear Solid Delta IS NOT MGS3. It's a remake of metal gear 2. In the trailer we see a prominent electric fence which is of a larger scale than the one in snake eater, and fences are a recognizable feature of zanzibar land's map. It's called "snake eater" as homage to the 1960s mission. Notice that snake's mission in zanzibar land was never named, unlike metal gear 1. Snake's mission is to "eat" venom snake or naked snake. I think the game will try to deliberately confuse you whether it was big boss or venom snake who was killed in MG1 and which is alive in MG2 and running zanzibar land. And get this, in spaceflight there's a concept known as "Delta-V", which means difference in velocity. This is why the Delta symbol visually rhymes with the V in MGSV. This is a pretentious play on words to mean the game will mark a place of difference in the direction of the story.

this is the real MGSV, what we've seen in the trailer is a projection of artificial memories of Operation Snake Eater into Venom Snake's subconscious. I mean think about it, is it a coincidence that we're supposedly ''playing'' as Big Boss?

Kojima is literally spelling it out for you. the FOURTH (delta is 4) game for the Metal Gear Saga is Sons of Liberty. And in that game, there was an unexpected switch in character. This is going to be the same. Look at it this way. If this really were MGS3 then we would have to factor in the absence of a special character demonstrated by Δ : Ck(Ω) Ck−2(Ω).

in the middle chart especially you can see the way the data aligns as highlighted in the red circles.

remember the S Delta in psychology S-Delta is a
stimulus in the environment that signals the non-availability of reinforcement. For example, if you need to go to the bathroom and there is an Out of Order” sign on the door. This signals the non-availability of relieving (negative reinforcement) yourself in that bathroom.

All you'd need to do is add a little bit of opening narration text
"In the late 1980s, legendary soldier Big Boss menaced the world with nuclear weapons. His plans were foiled by special operative Solid Snake. After witnessing the betrayal and death of his fellow operative Gray Fox, Snake went into retirement in the Alaskan wilderness. But with the uprising of a terrorist group on Shadow Moses island off the Alaskan coast, duty calls Snake back into action for one last job..."

That's all you need to make sense of MGS1's plot

            Anonymous

MGS1 actually has a summary of metal gear 1 and 2, I think you get to it in the menu

But you know, I think MGS1 is an example of how letting the audience just pick up the gist of the backstory is better. The dialogue is pretty good at explaining it without it resorting to exposition which really kills the mood.

Another example is the briefing tapes after snake's capture in alaska that you unlock by playing the game. If you dumped that as an opening cutscene I think it would be a huge mistake. The opening voice over describes everything you need to know. I really like cold opens in the MGS Games. Imagine if MGS2 opening with boring exposition from snake and otacon at philathropy, and photos of metal gear ray or something. No frick that. Guy who is smoking sprints and jumps off a bridge, hold on to your butthole this is going to be a video game

              Anonymous

Look I ain't saying to do a 25 minute thesis. Putting those words onscreen for 15 seconds is what they should do if they feel the need to explain the background for newcomers. It would be much less painful than the opening of MGS3. I think a lot of people forget you're in cutscene hell for half an hour before you get to play the game. With any luck the remake will cut down on that

                Anonymous

Yeah it would work, but MGS1 has moments like

                >Big Boss?
                >Big Boss. (dramatic pause). The greatest soldier of the 21st century.

                >moron audience: I wonder who big boss is?

If that was how it went down it's totally missing from big boss's explanation. All big boss says is ocelot intentionally hypnotized himself to believe he was liquid to fool the patriots. He didn't say liquid actually possessed him at any point, ocelot has medium powers from his dad, etc.

I'd say MGS has a chance of being good again without Kojima sniffing his own farts and getting progressivley more and more "I desperately want to be David Lynch without the talent or Robert Frost". But it IS Konami we're talking about, so still probably not going to return to greatness.
