Yeah its almost like 95% of this board hasn't played either 1 or 2
or 3
or nv
or 4
Don't forget that Bob's Iguana Bits are made of people.
>he doesn’t know that most of v has never actually played this game and just repeats what they’ve heard
Undeniably Bethesda took the jokes too far, but they’re still just as dark. Fallout has always been a dark comedy at heart with surreal goofy shit to distract you from human on a stick and kids being raised in a vault to become super soldiers
Which character? What references?
OP been very quiet ever since this post. What gives?
>>he doesn’t know that most of v has never actually played this game
Every accusation a confession.
once you play fallout 2 OP you will see its like the gremlins 2 of the series
Works on my machine.
This whole thing about 2 being too wacky with pop culture references is fairly recent and probably stemmed from a moronic youtuber
>2 being too wacky with pop culture references is fairly recent
kys moron
I'm glad you've realized Ganker is moronic. Now you have to witness as Ganker pushes narratives for years on end.
The correct order of playing Fallout games:
Fallout of Nevada -> Fallout Resurrection -> Fallout Frontiers. Rest? Not canon.
You were born fifteen years after the game released. You can't even recognize references from that time.
Yeah fallout 1 is ultra hyper realistic game with no fun allowed
but there's the alien ship with alien blaster on it
and tardis
or a loony trying to sell pre war broken cars in middle of nowhere
>but there's the alien ship with alien blaster on it
>and tardis
These two i get
>or a loony trying to sell pre war broken cars in middle of nowhere
this is not very loony
its lighthearted and funny which is not allowed in fallout 1 which must be dark and serious at all times
Theres a difference between occasionally goofy humor and marvel humor. One catches you off guard and the other is a permeating stench across the whole show, fallout isn't like that
exactly when I play fallout 1 and I see even a hint of humour I turn the game off and start a new run vowing to never go that way again in future
>"fallout 2 is more corny"
>autistic screeching
got em
I thought you were defending the show I haven't even played 2, im not saying its marvel shit
Best standard gun is a red ryder BB gun in a Christmas Story movie reference.
Standard armour and dog companion is a Mad Max reference.
In Shady Sands you teach the farmer crop rotation in a Planet of the Apes reference.
You can special encounter Brahmin that say “moo I say”
It always had a lot of silliness to it, but it also had very dark and violent moments
Why does Ganker hate fun?
I don't hate fun and I don't like you making assumptions about me
I don't hate fun, I hate you.
Have you really played Fallout 1?
I like the game well enough, but "fun"...
Low self esteem.
Yeah, that's one character. If it was F2, it would have been ten different characters in the span of ten minutes.
F1 had a fricking Robin Hood with a bunch of buddies and he even had a talking head.
Also, C D E D B D Ducks.
First one is great, but jerking off 2 baffles me. Most common criticism towards later entries applies to FO2, so it just shows how biased people are.
they're both great games and no one on this board has actually played them so just parrot what they hear
genuinely baffling that you could play 1 and not like 2
>could play 1 and not like 2
I loved the atmosphere and tone in FO1. I couldn't get immersed or interested in FO2's world and roleplaying in it the same way, thanks to it being less dire and more silly. The gameplay alone isn't worth playing these games for.
2 overstays its welcome and feels too bloated. I played through 1 twice back to back and even those two playthroughs which I came away satisfied with took less than my single playthrough of 2 with its dumb theme park setting. I was already fed up with it by the time I got to that chinese kung fu city and was just rushing through to be done with it by then.
yeah? which character?
nu Ganker would call fallout 2 woke
>a low quality, rushed cash-grab sequel that missed the point of the previous game and supplanted intelligent writing about the human condition with "REPUBLICANS = NAZIS. THIS IS INTELLIGENT SATIRE", written by a projecting alcoholic male feminist sex pest
Yes, Fallout 2 is unironically woke.
have a nice day, subhuman curryBlack person
>the single most accessible 90s rpg
>nooooo, you haven't played it!
why are they like this?
had a friend who refused to play system shock 2 because it looked bad and he's a fricking moron so I can only assume Ganker are the same about it with fallout 1 and 2
It's true, Fallout has always been a wacky, comedic setting. The first game had dwarf NPCs everywhere, for crying out loud.
Every single game in the series is wacky and comedic, then you get stuff like
>Fallout NV fans saying Fallout 3 is too wacky
>Fallout 3 fans saying Fallout NV is too wacky
>Fallout 1 fans (really 3/NV fans in disguise) saying Fallout 2 is too wacky
Bethesda elevated the Fallout series. 1 & 2 are overrated because people played them when they were kids
3 is even more overrated because of 360 kids
easter eggs doesnt change the fact atmosphere was still quite serious and not some moronic marvel movie full of x-gen quip dialogue like fallout tv show.
