mundus first phase is absolute cancer, but at least it can be cheesed. the second phase is way too tanky, and just makes you use roundtrip as often as possible.
DMC1 aged like ass. 2/3 bosses are a repeat, basic combat. fighting normal enemies was more fun than the bosses.

That's every DMC game. I'm not very enthusiastic about having to fight Gigapede or Leviathan every DMC3 run I do.
It still has the best basic enemy variety of the series. Mostly because the enemies had to be interesting enough to be encountered alone.

DMD New Game is too hard even with the LDK costume with DT for the mission 1 marionette chamber.
Buying upgrades and building your character up in a playthrough is more enjoyable than steamrolling with a full kit.

I only beat DMC3 on DMD
It was alright, though sometimes it felt like I was fighting the camera more than the enemies.

I should really properly beat DMC1 one of these days. I last played it when it was brand new and I was a dumb kid that could only beat it on easy. I also was very shocked at the time by the gore in the alastor unlock cut scene.
DMC1 is great. I love it.

DMC1 is a game you play once for the story to increase your enjoyment of DMC3.

I beam DMC1 on DMD but I always drop DMC3 during that timed part with the green squids and blood birds
I attempted DMC1 on DMD and when I discovered that the bosses all had giant ass frick health pools I gave up and dropped it.
