People who emulate and torrent stuff act like they are so smart and nerdy but it doesn't make you smart it's just inconvenient and annoying
People who emulate and torrent stuff act like they are so smart and nerdy but it doesn't make you smart it's just inconvenient and annoying
none of that is true
*Legally distributes you through a torrent.*
I can't afford to be called rich
I also can't afford games but emulating ps1 games is annoying because of the BIOS thing
I can afford games but I can't afford to be called rich by people on Ganker that don't want to talk, hangout, or visit me.
I don't play Playstation games at all, but I'm sorry that particular emulator is a pain to use. When getting into emulation, generally NES/SNES/Game Boy ones are the easiest to start off with. I nearly tore my hair out over getting a TurboGrafix emulator up and running recently because I never dealt with ones without a GUI before and I've been emulating for a long time too. But first time for everything.
I've used SNES emulators my whole life and just recently decided to use a wii emulator and a PS2 emulator, the wii emulator works great but the PS2 emulator has been a huge pain because I needed to download some BIOS shit that I could only find through links on reddit, and then the actual control calibration barely seems to work, so now I realize that some games I want are actually on PS1, but I don't want to bother downloading a PS1 emulator right now because I think it will be a pain, my computer is almost out of disk space anyway
I will own everything and be happy.
Of course the frogBlack person would be insecure about his intelligence
A moronic monkey could download a torrent.
You fundamentally misunderstand my point and reveal that you are exactly the type of person I am talking about, the problem with torrents is half of them don't work, half of them are viruses, the databases are scattered and disorganized. I'm not saying it's hard, I'm saying it's annoying because it doesn't fricking work
MAYBE ON PLANET moron
well look who's insecure now
>n-no u!!1!!
top zozzle
You do not belong to this board
Go back and stay moronic
I'm sorry that your mother is an alcoholic
Emulation is not difficult. I had an older friend teach me how to download game boy and snes emulators with ROMs around 20 years ago when I was a kid, and it has only gotten easier. You can literally still just google "playstation emulation" (or some other system) and find a detailed written or video tutorial showing how to get your emulator and games. There are still tons of easily found DDL sites for ROMs/ISOs as well. In what way does anyone think it makes someone "smart"? It's as basic as heating up a frozen dinner in a microwave.
Agree. What would be slightly difficult for most would be setting up retroarch on xbox. That involves dev accounts, remoting into your xbox and some other stuff.
torrenting is faster than buying.
>people who can wipe their own ass and feed themselves, act like they so smart and nerdy....
what this reads as
There's nothing inconvenient about it, you tech illiterate dipshit
unless all the torrents are broken and have no seeders like most old games
There is no such thing. Anything, as long as it's cracked or dumped into a rom, is available.
>frogBlack person is absolutely moronic
>People who fix their own computers act like they are so smart and nerdy but it doesn't make you smart it's just inconvenient and annoying
>People who fix their own cars act like they are so smart and nerdy but it doesn't make you smart it's just inconvenient and annoying
>People who fix their own houses act like they are so smart and nerdy but it doesn't make you smart it's just inconvenient and annoying
>People who cook their own food like they are so smart and nerdy but it doesn't make you smart it's just inconvenient and annoying
I bet you haven't gotten dirt under your fingernails in your life. I bet you're sitting there eating a 50 dollar door dash sandwich. Know, at the end of the day, it is our purpose to learn and grow, and avoiding learning and growth by paying money is falling into the trap of the israelite. You will never be free of the money wheel anon. You must learn for yourself.
torrenting isn't equivalent to those things because those are actual skills and torrenting is clicking the download button on some shitty virus infested website
I have never, not once, gotten a virus. It seems to me you are having what is referred to as a skill issue.
pick any media you want and I can find a clean torrent in 10 minutes. This is what it means to go against the israelite. You know what's more inconvenient? Subscribing to 10 services just to watch what you want when you want.
Is emulating inconvenient? Somewhat. But the price you pay is skill and time. With a minor amount of effort I can play any game in the history of mankind forever without paying, and you have to pay Nintendo or a scalper hundreds.
I'm not saying it's not necessary sometimes, I'm just saying people act all high and mighty about it when it's basically just downloading some shit. I'm also saying it's kind of dying because a lot of old torrents are unusable now
Self-sufficiency is the folly of people who've never grown to actually be good at anything and specialized in society.
It's okay to pay for people to do some things for you. I don't know how to fix my car, because it doesn't interest me and I've spent my life learning other, more specialized skills which generate value elsewhere to pay other peoples' skills in my own gaps.
The problem is people who can't accept this is what's happening, that it's a tradeoff, and then start acting defensive about the shit they never learned to do.
most broccoli hairs don't even know what a file browser is. Sure for us millennials and outlier zoomers its easy. Smartphones have killed tech literacy
You act like you are a software engineer or something because you download files, ultimate boomer mindset
no its the opposite, we are baffled and confounded by the moronation on display
My guy, nobody knows how to burn CDs because nobody uses CDs anymore, things change, computer formats change, zip files are not necessary anymore, people don't know about files because operating systems make them increasingly irrelevant, even programming, web and game design will completely fundamentally change from AI based applications in the near future. You aren't smart just because you do some outdated shit...
Yeah we know, its the zoomers who think we are smart not the other way around. And they cant be bothered to learn something that takes 2 minutes when they show mild interest, then instantly get bored and go on tiktok
zip files are still useful as hell and so are file systems and folder structure, just not for using tiktok
cope
nobody thinks you are smart, you don't speak to zoomers
NTA, but learning how to overcome computer illiteracy is one of the great joys of the modern era.
>be playing Starsector
>terrified of how to play the game
>don't even know how to bind keys to different buttons
>50 hours later
>can now micromanage and alter mods for the game, including going into the files and directly changing things without even needing dedicated tools
When you find out how to modify an item's health or damage or armor, just by opening a specific notepad file and changing a specific parameter, the world opens up to you.
idk
What if it's a hack that makes the game run at 60FPS like Star Fox on the SNES or Kirby on the Switch?
Emulation is the exact opposite of inconvenient. It's easy, convenient, and superior to origins hardware in numerous ways.
No, I think I'm normal and you're a moron for being so bad at technology you don't know how to set up an emulator or download a torrent.
lolwhat? I find emulating and torrenting very convenient and not annoying
