They're a business, not your friend. Profit will ALWAYS come first, and that's normal and smart, because without that they can't sustain themselves and continue to bring you content.
A lot of times they have to push more popular titles (Persona) until they have enough for smaller, less lucrative projects.
Calm your breasts anon, I wasn't saying they should care, I was just pointing out how there are morons who believe the recent survey results means P3/P1/P2 remakes will definitely come. It's the same shit every survey, those idiots will never learn.
This whole thing is pathetic. 90% of the people that will be playing the trasnaltion are ESLs that don't even know how to use commas or apply affect/effect or their/they're correctly. It makes no difference just how fie-tuned the text is.
>ESLs that don't even know how to use commas or apply affect/effect or their/they're correctly
kek Here on Ganker it's the natives who make those mistakes all the time, ESLs actually have to learn how to write the words and use them instead of going by it's pronunciation.
>their/they're
To be fair ESL people know which one they have to use better than native speakers, since most of them learnt English by reading rather than speaking
>Good news Iwakura translation are actually good >Bad news he takes a shitton of time to finish
Growlanser bros we would see the Growlanser translation in our life time?
So I'm pretty removed from all the drama, but I guess this Iwakura dude and their team are upset this other team came out of nowhere and sniped a project that they've been working on for about a decade right? I went to their site (https://iwakuraproductions.wordpress.com/) and this was posted. They said that >This is something we do in our spare time, for sheer love of the game, and nothing else. We have never taken donations, and never will.
but it seems like another team did the same thing, but faster, and now they are upset about it? People got impatient and took matters into their own hands. Pretty funny that they got upset about this honestly. Does this happen often in the SMT fan translation community?
OHO, so now it's the SMT community who's fricking bad because of harrassment and shittalking when virtually all of these are the minority and majority of the fans have been fricking waiting for almost a decade for them to release even sucking their dicks as they released updates and posts about their project.
Tell me, when was the last update about their "ongoing project" again?
and considering they were quick to cancel this project it's pretty clear to this "ongoing" project wasn't anywhere near done and they easily could have gone another few years without a release.
I hope this sets the precedent
>Tell me, when was the last update about their "ongoing project" again?
If this counts, then the day the other patch released. They were still drip feeding "updates" until the very end. This stuff actually infuriates me. They are just clout chasers and they have the gall to say that they did this out of their love for the series. They just love the attention. Frick them.
Anon, these games are not good enough to warrant the constant whining. Remember when people spend like a decade pestering Gideon Zhi to pick up the pace with SMT if, only to not give a shit when it was finally out?
Atlus has never been a standout dev. They hit their stride with the teenager crowd in P3 and they coast. But now people are trying to apply retroactive quality in their last products
>Pretty funny that they got upset about this honestly.
They always do when someone actually releases the translations they have held hostage for years. Serves them right.
>During the course of the Eternal Punishment project, we’ve endured family deaths, a pandemic, and even an ongoing war that personally affected a member of the team.
Funny how the pandemic and war didn't affect this other team of 3 people who did it in 13 months.
I hope more people who are really passionate in translating and actually wants shit done make more releases like this. Then they go full incognito and not respond except for bug fixes.
It's what we all need in times like this where translations are held hostage and delayed for fricking years. >"JUST A FEW MORE MONTHS" >fast forward years later >still nothing
Thanks to the one who released this.
Wasn't Tom also translating something related to SMT? Thank god he's one of those people who only say "I'm working on something" and will only say what it is when he's done with the translation and only needs to playtest.
That's not saying much, the game is incredibly easy to cheese, just give Maya nothing but INT and give everyone INT+ personas. Since you can set up 90% of fusion spells off any level of spell, it means you can have everyone rolling underleveled persona (ones that grant INT+ when levelling) 90% of the time and end up far more powerful for it. Once builds actually start mattering, you shift your INT > 50 Katsuya to whatever custom he needs to rock.
I told you it was coming guys, it only took a decade.
Thankfully there are fans who care because Atlus sure doesn't despite idiots who believe their survey means anything thinking otherwise.

H-Hey, come on, editing the translated script takes a lot of time...
This whole thing is pathetic. 90% of the people that will be playing the trasnaltion are ESLs that don't even know how to use commas or apply affect/effect or their/they're correctly. It makes no difference just how fie-tuned the text is.
You are the problem.

>and this version uses honorifics(which I tend to localize or make variations on)
>a few more months
A year wasn't enough to edit the script? Just wait them sit on CCC's translated script until 2024.

Ah whoops here's a better pic

This was so fricking cathartic to read. I don't even like fateshit

So if Devil Summoner gets an actual release, what SMT games are still untranslated? Ronde?
Ronde and most Devil Children/Demikids games iirc
So really nothing worth playing.
SMT: NINE and the actual good versions of SMT II and if... (PSX). There's also Giten.
Wasn't Tom also translating something related to SMT? Thank god he's one of those people who only say "I'm working on something" and will only say what it is when he's done with the translation and only needs to playtest.
What is the difference between the PS and PSP version of EP?
PS1 Version of EP is apparently harder than PSP, that's about all I know.

OH MY GOD, I'M SO HAPPY! I WAITED FOR THIS FOR SO SO SO LONG!
Did you seriously waited 10 years that someone swap the japanese script to the english script from the original game realeased 22 years ago?
Some simple minded people are really easy to satisfy.
