in 2005 they were extremely common, i still had mine until 2007 when plasmas became more affordable
it was right around 2004 that the shift to lcd's begun though and there was some commentary on it in persona 4
lcd's were literally more affordable, had bigger screens and weighed less. nearly everyone i knew got rid of their crt by 2006, you couldn't go a day without seeing one of those on the side of the road back then
thats completely uncommon though, the ps4 and xbone released the next year and had zero crt or analog video support. wouldn't give you a 4:3 image even if you hooked it up to the adapter

P4G has two reversals. You can reverse Ai by choosing to tell her to piss off when she takes you out shopping, and you can reverse Naoto by telling her to deal with her detective game on her own.
You fricked up by saying something rude to someone like Yukari, Social Links stops in its progression and the card representing it gets turned upside down, indicating the reversed arcana. You have to fix it by asking that reversed Link a few times to hang out until they say yes (takes a day or two) and then say the right thing to reconcile.
One of the other options in the original was to just try and cheer her up. And when said persona is upset towards YOU then yeah it's kind of moronic to attempt to hug them when they're still actively upset about it.
I know if someone tried to hug me when I was still frustrated with them I'd get more annoyed and tell them to frick off.
it's fair because it reinforces the theme of his game to be the strongest and if the other MCs had the same fate, his wouldn't feel as impactful anymore
This game is fun and the qol is good but I still like FES game mechanics more, warts and all.
All the new music is great and fun to listen to in game but I don't feel are great P3 songs. I could easily see Color your night be in P4 or P5.
The redone tracks I don't think are very good, I would have preferred the original takes but that might just be nostalgia.

Playing merciless and just got akihiko and beat the first 3 minibosses of the second tier.
Merciless isn't that bad so far I've basically only died to minibosses with one death to a random battle.
If you die you get the option of lowering the difficulty anyway so there's no real reason to worry about choosing it.
Its definitely a great remake, also playing on Deck and it runs pretty good (40fps for best performance to battery life), they're also already patching the performance so it should be perfect eventually. The only thing is I just finished P4G again so I feel like I should wait longer to play P3R. Maybe I'll just play Granblue for now

As someone who loves The Answer, no. It's a nice, unnecessary epilogue story that just kinda adds a little to the themes already explored in The Journey.
But it is cool how they addressed it. Aigis gets Orpheus and promptly goes through Orpheus's most famous story; descending into the overworld to get their lost one back, facing against a 'three headed guardian'/Cerberus (the three fights against your party), resurfacing but their loved one is gone because they looked back. But looking back in this context means treasuring the memories made with the MC.
Metis was a nice party member but ultimately she didn't get much development since she's part of Aigis.
I know personally I would be furious if the one I loved had to become a fricking door forever because humans (actually probably just the Japanese) can't stop their nihilistic seethe.

they definitely butchered a lot of the scenes, i feel the scene where Yukari wanted to shoot herself at the beginning went hard but reload added VA to that scene and it felt really goofy instead.
In the original they played it up like it was a real suicide with the faucet being on full blast, her disheveled appearance and the constant quick cuts and zoom ins. Shit really set the mood for the game. Thanato's ENTER also got botched, him killing The Fool was a lot more visceral, fricker didn't just cut it up he ATE it alive

Well yeah. She was acting more like a robot in that as a cope, she spent most of the time since he died in the lab.
She is the microcosm character to the game's overall themes about life and death. She's crucial not just to move the plot forward (or incite it) but to look at life through a more baby-ified lens. Sometimes you gotta return to the basics to truly appreciate the whole thing, and Aigis learning to be human is precisely that lens.
Out of the party she's the most relevant for the games theme, but obviously nobody can embody the theme of the game better then the realest homie Akinari.

The original english dub gave Yukari a more sarcastic "ugh, whatever" tone to all her lines, so it changed the intent.

Well 3 is the most realistic because sometimes you really do have to lie to people and put up a facade for them to like you before you can get real with them and call them out on their bullshit once they've become your friend and are invested in you. The original goes intro with the visuals and burn my dread will always be my favourite, but I do like Reloads one as well. persona 3 had a huge emphasis on the early 2000’s because it was the first 3d game in the franchise, similar to how persona 2 had a really big 90’s theme to it
reload is great but the theme has been mostly replaced by the very sleek and stylistic art style from persona 5, they also had to majorly adjust the color palette because p3 was originally intended for crt tv’s

This game is fun and the qol is good but I still like FES game mechanics more, warts and all.
All the new music is great and fun to listen to in game but I don't feel are great P3 songs. I could easily see Color your night be in P4 or P5.
The redone tracks I don't think are very good, I would have preferred the original takes but that might just be nostalgia.

Playing merciless and just got akihiko and beat the first 3 minibosses of the second tier.
Merciless isn't that bad so far I've basically only died to minibosses with one death to a random battle.
If you die you get the option of lowering the difficulty anyway so there's no real reason to worry about choosing it.
Is Merciless just Earn less money and XP and the damage numbers are tuned in their favor more?
I'm not sure of any modifiers apart from damage dealt and taken changing.

Its definitely a great remake, also playing on Deck and it runs pretty good (40fps for best performance to battery life), they're also already patching the performance so it should be perfect eventually. As someone who loves The Answer, no. It's a nice, unnecessary epilogue story that just kinda adds a little to the themes already explored in The Journey.
But it is cool how they addressed it. Aigis gets Orpheus and promptly goes through Orpheus's most famous story; descending into the overworld to get their lost one back, facing against a 'three headed guardian'/Cerberus (the three fights against your party), resurfacing but their loved one is gone because they looked back. But looking back in this context means treasuring the memories made with the MC.
Metis was a nice party member but ultimately she didn't get much development since she's part of Aigis.

She is the microcosm character to the game's overall themes about life and death. She's crucial not just to move the plot forward (or incite it) but to look at life through a more baby-ified lens. The original goes intro with the visuals and burn my dread will always be my favourite, but I do like Reloads one as well. I remember seeing someone suggest that 6 be in an actually remote small town and I think that would be cool. They push the idea with Inaba but it really isn't that remote or small.

I think it's kinda weird/funny/scary how the persona games 3, 4 and 5 all came out at the exact time they needed to, while reflecting the current state of the world (fear of the end, social strife/acceptance, rebellion and oppression) and 6 is on track to pop out around the time of war.
