I was literally just saying to my friend yesterday that yukari behaves the most realistic out of all the characters, which is an upside and a downside, but the design is very human and she's loveably tense. I'd rather have someone with strong opinions and a little bite than some ooey gooey blob that is "submissive" and nervous about everything and only serves to meatride the MC.
They made her more of a b***h in the original localization than she was in Japanese. You can call it revisionism, but at least it's revising accurately.

A whole third term with playable evil Akechi and social link, Sumire (Kasumi), new battle mechanics, better OST, new palace and final boss with good OST. It's a big upgrade.
It's well worth it. You can even level grind now by running into enemies with Ryuji's instant kill dash mechanic. You get full exp, money and even personas if you are over an enemy's level so you can easily grind for levels. It also gives you more free time at night to go out, unlike the original.
