it truly is. it really does ruin how the story of P3 ended.
and lets be honest here, even if this game had the answer, female mc and every single update/upgrade one can muster to conjure, homosexuals here on /v would still scarp the bottom of the barrel for a reason to seethe and piss and shid their skirts are endlessly.
The Answer isnt terrible story wise but it was completely unnecessary and made to spoonfeed morons who didn't get the ending.
Gameplay wise it's inexcusably lame.

It is unnecessary but it's also good and if you would rather have less good stuff you are dumb.

>completely unnecessary
I wouldn't say that since outside Liz, no one knew the cause of his death. Hell, just seeing the aftermath of his death among SEES is more than enough to justify a continuation of the story.
It'd be a very short DLC. It'd be like >"Okay, now that we have three members, maybe we could try exploring Tartarus." >"Wait, layout changes every single time we enter." >"Mitsuru can't fight and navigate at the same time." >"Guess we'd better give up until we find more members."
Remember, they never even made it to the first tower guardians.
I know there are no bounds to stretching fantasies. Yet that Kirijo initial experiment could be accounted to P1's main route events. On the other hand Snow Queen route is too confined and P2 plot goes over the top with its gossip escalation making neo Wolfenstein games a humble assumption while getting a lot of P1 characters. I think Atlus can give a "duology" trick another try by making solid interconnections between P5 and P6 or P6+P7. Although longer development cycles don't help with anticipating this.
Yes, he gets it at 39. Feel free to drop elec boost/amp. Akihikos main source of damage is effectively god hand and gigantic fist before that. I decided to just keep shock boost over the passive damage boosters
Akihiko:
Maziodyne
Elec amp/Ziodyne/Elec break
Diarahan
Shock boost
Evade Ice
Gods Hand
Masukukaja
Matarunda
>Passive skill is increase buff effectiveness that he uses on himself >The only buff skills he has only increases his accuracy and evasion
Why did they do him dirty like this?
its buffs on him. alot of people keep misreading this but nowhere does it say "buffs cast on self" its just buffs on self otherwise people would confuse it with stronger buffs for the entire party.
Is Akasha Arts actually good in this game? On paper, it's better than God's Hand, but only if both hits proc. I remember the second hit missing a lot.

I like it, talking about skills I feel like they made physical skills look awesome but almost all the magical ones even high level stuff like thunder reign look awful with exception of Megidolaon.

Every low accuracy attack in this game is godlike because of Auto Masaku and Auto Masukunda. All the weapons in the antique shop are great for that reason too.
False, the problem is he only gets sonic punch until mid game. Once he gets gigantic fist then he can start keeping up with Junpei.
Early game he’s pretty much utility and support.
By the way for the other anon if he’s still there, do no fricking bother with elec boost/amp. Stick to gigantic fist then god hand later for damage. Keep shock boost. Akihiko is not a magic damage dealer and focusing on his zio damage will just put him below the worst damage dealer in the game: yukari
Mitsuru and Koro have better debuffs, Aigis has better support and Theurgy, Ken has better Zio Damage, support, and theurgy.
The only place he shines in is Strike damage, and the MC can outdo him due to Aki only getting Sonic punch for so long. He's not really weaker, everyone else is way stronger.
Akihiko gets gigantic fist by midgame along with strike boost weapon. Akihiko gets elec boost/amp as well so no ken doesn’t really outdo him.
They also massively changed stats as well so I wouldn’t assume akihiko has low str, this is how ken looks like at max level for comparisons sake. Akihiko has a slow start but he keeps up with junpei and aigis just fine while doubling as a support. When exploring tartarus being able to exploit multiple weaknesses and utility is also far better than just straight up damage so i think akihiko is fantastic just because he gets matarunda, diarahan and increased shock rate on top of gigantic fist/god hand
He caught a giganerf imo. He used to have all three debuffs, now he has one. In return, he gets support for Zio (useless, as the other anon pointed out) and he hits harder as a physical damage dealer (which is good, but not as good as being a debuff bot like in FES, especially when you see how juiced Aigis and Junpei are as phys damage dealers). He went from an obligatory lategame pick, a staple of every good party, to "he's pretty good at physical damage output and interchangeable with two other party members".
Keep in mind that in fes and portable he hits just as hard if not harder due to fist master, which was a x2 multiplier to his regular attack. He also got ice element weapon (that comes with ice boost) making him into a giga ice damage nuke, like hits harder than mitsuru tier. Its the same exact reason why Ken was better than Yukari at wind damage. In this game it feels like they side graded him, instead of relying on element weapons he just relies on strike multipliers and his own personal multiplier. It feels like a side grade.
A sidegrade for sure on paper, he's a lot more fun to use in this game and has a stronger mid-game as far as damage output given how early he gets God Hand. Sure beats out "assign him the tactic that makes him spam debuffs on every boss fight".
But I feel like when looking at the big picture, it's a nerf overall. Filling a niche that every single party comp benefits from and frees up the MC to dish out fat damage to filling a niche that two other party members + the MC fill just fine (arguably better) can't be anything but an overall nerf imo.
Also I forgot about Fist Master. My memory of him is mostly just how good he was at filling the support role.
This has probably been asked multiple times in these threads but I haven't been following.
Never played Persona before. Should I emulate the original, Reloaded or Portable?
Emulate FES if you can handle it being old but if not there's no shame in playing Reload otherwise. Portable is functionally pointless these days unless you wanna play as FeMC, which shouldn't be your first playthrough to begin with.
Start with Reload
P3 Reload.
Thank you bros.
Btw, I've always been interested in how people say SMT's combat is very in-depth and challenging with how you can't simply rely on normal attacks but also statuses and stuff. Are the Persona games like that as well?
Persona games are more about fricking up enemies before they frick you up which is how the one more system works with weakness.
Generally speaking, when fighting trash your goal will be to figure out their weaknesses first tthen you will abuse those weaknesses to knock all enemies down without giving them a turn then initiating an all out attack to ohko them, its worth noting that enemies can do this to you as well and some are programmed to exploit weaknesses in your party. Eventually you will start either encountering enemies with no weaknesses or enemies that will not die to a single all out attack, forcing you to use debuffs/buffs.
Generally bosses do not have weaknesses and most are programmed around an elaborate setup to try and weaken or ohko you. If you go in blind you will definitely die at least a few times while you get the hang of it.
Persona games are basically baby's first SMT. You'll get some millage out of remembering to buff/debuff but there shouldn't really ever be all that big a challenge outside of a handful of niche encounters. Remember to save frequently because they are insta-death light and dark spells that can frick you out of nowhere, which you should get in the habit of trying to find something that resists them.
Sounds cool. My only previous experience with an RPG was Pokemon so I welcome any challenge.

Start with p4 golden akshually, it's the oldest in terms of gameplay design and also the easiest. None of them are actually hard but you might as well play them in an upward slope
After the slog that is leving up in FES and P4 and shit easy as frick that is doing it in P5 and Reloaded, the golden hands of P4G don't look THAT bad, maybe a little nerfed
The new Mass Destruction isn't so bad when you're listening in-game, but as a standalone track the instrumental just makes it shit to listen to. Lotus Juice rapping sounds good as usual, and I even got used to the way the new singer says "baby", but the fricking frog instrumental sucks so much ass that it's impossible to ignore.
I cannot stress how much I fricking hate it. It's like one minor edit/mix away from being all right.
For some reason Gourmet King seems to be a Social Link a lot of casual players finish for some fricking reason, is it just because the fat frick sits around in Paulownia Mall where you're going to go a thousand times?
It's November in-game and I didn't unlock the moon social link because that guy just fricking sucks. Yes, this means I haven't hung out with Kenji to SL 4.
Takaya could have killed MC when he hit me with my weakness. Instead, he hit the weakness and then passed the turn over to Jin so they could land Marakunda. If the game felt like being an butthole they could have really just ended my life there and forced me to retry.
The game's already fiendish with a lot of adjustments they made. Instant kill attacks have skyrocketed rates, enemies will ruthlessly target weaknesses.
How many homunculus do you have? The second I ran out was when Door-kun got Nocturne'd by some mudo despite boosting evasion and it not being a weakness.
>koro gets a 200 power dark boost weapon >junpeis strongest katana has in built apt pupil >ken gets a 200 power light boost spear >aigis gets a +1 turn to orgia mode armor >koro gets an auto tarukabellion armor >aigis ultimate weapon has innate arm master >akihikos strike boost weapon is a low level 120 power weapon, his ultimate weapon is just an auto heat riser
Well at least akihiko can still wear strike boost accessory and dodge ice armor. Yukari and Mitsuru got just as cucked as far as weapons go, especially mitsuru.
im not home rn so i dont remember what it requires but i think its one of the high end antique weapons, gold quartz and diamond? also mitsuru has a +5 magic/ice amp weapon. alot of good shit is hidden behind the items specific personas give
Any of the DLC Personas should be fair game to use for fusion, since I think it worked like that in Royal as well. I didn't get any of the DLC Personas for Reload, so I can't test that out myself.
Fuuka's new model looks weird as frick, I think I preferred her one from the dancing game.
I think it's fine, but it is different compared to before. I can understand preferring her P3D model, which was nice too. Cute either way.
That's interesting. I didn't know you can fuse Personas to get the P5 personas like that. Well if you plan to use Captain Kidd, that will be good going forward, along with making any of the other P5 party member Personas.
Fair enough. If that's the case, I go to an earlier save slot, and just hope that doesn't happen again, during Persona fusion. I didn't bother with the DLC for that reason.
You don't really participate in sports at all in P5, which sorta makes sense since the MC is a social pariah. I think they're a little too heavy handed with it since you end up basically having zero S-links from your school outside of party members.
>I think they're a little too heavy handed with it since you end up basically having zero S-links from your school outside of party members.
personally i think it was great, after p3 and p4 (and their revisions) basically tying you to school and school clubs p5 was a breath of fresh air on that front
I feel like the fact that you have pretty much zero interaction with the school is a waste of potential. Outside of the first dungeon and like, Makoto trailing you I guess, there's never really any instance of people being hostile or mistrusting toward you. The high school setting feels completely superfluous after Kamoshida.
>I think they're a little too heavy handed with it since you end up basically having zero S-links from your school outside of party members.
Kawakami, Mishima, Sumire, Maruki + most of your party members.
Hifumi Togo was a high schooler albeit from a different school.
There were more than enough school confidants in P5. They couldn't be tied down entirely by the school setting since the game was trying to explore lots of societal taboos that wouldn't have made sense if they were all high schoolers.
>Mishima
it says a lot about this character that I forgot he went to same school as you. >Sumire and Maruki
fair, I haven't played Royal.

Definitely, Mishima was one of the weaker confidants. The most memorable aspect about it was how useful the XP bonus passives are. His storyline is very meh.

I think it's also a good thing because it's hard to give a shit about your classmates that aren't party members.

>She's a fricking loser
Heh, I've just tipped into her SL. So it's going to be worth it, thanks. >Did P5 have a loveable team manager?
I haven't played it yet.
I can't make a solid choice for a girl in P4. In P3 Mitsuru and Chihiro were obvious instant choices for me. Here in P4 each of them is feels equally balanced. Like Yukiko cracking into laughing streak or Marie teasing herself into shame oblivion while no one catches major attention. Maybe I'm more after the unromancable SLs like the kindergarten mom or the nurse. Or I'll just stick with Naoto and call it a day.
Yeah, she's great if you're willing to stick with her even through her more insufferable bits. Honestly feels like the most genuine and fulfilling social link for quite a few reasons. Still, I think all the P4 girls are loveable in some way but Ai sticks out for me due to the unique experience she gives. Also you might just be an older women enjoyer.
This fat b***h is by far the best Persona 4 girl and I'm tired of pretending she's not. I wish more social links in the series were structured like hers, it feels borderline experimental compared to everything else in 4 but they never went any further with the idea in 5.
Massive agree. She's also easily the best girl in P4 for me and is unironically the best filter in the entire series. Unfortunately I don't see them doing that since they seem to be shying away from doing anything that might make the player uncomfortable or actually think about the relationships they form other than being a yes man creating a hivemind of cheerleaders.
I became Ryan Gosling the first time I saw this scene. Why can't I have this in real life? Why can't b***hy girls actually be cute and loving underneath instead of just bigger b***hes. I hate it here, man.

Naoto telling you to impregnate her on Valentines right there on the beach is my favorite.

Working on a few other cards right now and still gotta do some touch ups and work on some good outfits for her besides what she wears in P3, but don't worry the bulb head will be cured before I upload her to bepis.
is it just me or do multi hit attacks do more damage even when its just single target? trying to decide if i want aigis to be pierce focused or strike focused with akasha arts or whatever its called
Take both, she has plenty of room. Primal force is her damage option so you should give her pierce boost. I’d pick between alasha arts or heat wave since thats more for exploiting strike weakness than damage. No need to keep myriad arrows if you have primal force and her regular attack is pierce.
Aigis:
Matarukaja
Marakukaja
Diarahan
Resist Phys
Enduring Soul
Primal Force
Akasha Arts/Heat Wave
Insta-Heal
alternatively you can run akihiko instead of aigis for an even stronger team but then you'd have to give damage buff as MC or kill whatever you plan on killing in the first 3 turns
Meta comp for sure. Its just a very frail party with very little healing.
Koromaru has perfect synergy with junpei, akihiko and aigis.
Aigis having Mataru really helps everything out when it comes to the buff refreshing. Koromaru having both Debilitate and Masukukaja just lets MC mostly focus on damage which is really nice. I think a persona with Mediarahan will fix up the healing issue. Or I could just stock up on a bunch of party wide healing items to use when Koromaru/Aigis aren't buffing.
If you’re using aigis mainly for buffs then ken is probably a better alternative than her at endgame cause he gets heat riser which makes him the ultimate buffbawd/healer. When combined with koromaru the mc basically just has to click charge/concentrate then nuke and Junpei is free to click brave blade every turn.
I'm going to spend the money and time to get the persona anyways. I'd rather skip having to go in and out of the velvet room to manage my personas and frick up the flow of the game. Just give me a choice to spend extra money when hanging out and say I'm paying for food or whatever.
Finishings a All-Social Links Run in Persona is the most satisfactory thing ever, until you realize that you're a loner with no friends or loved ones that is gonna die alone without nobody attending to your funeral not even the workers of the mortuary, not even the angels or demons that are supposed to escort your soul to heaven or hell.
This is why you should only hang out with the people you wanna hang out with and have fun. It's better to make your girl of choice deepthroat you every day instead of hanging out with Nozomi.
I haven't been to Tartarus since I got Ken and Koromaru so I haven't been able to see what they've got cooking, but I hear they're both god-tier now. Right now my team is Yukari/Aigis/Akihiko, aka the canon FES party.
Koromaru brings so much utility it's crazy. Also Dark/Light are fairly good damage types. Lots of enemies are weak to them but they didn't get so much mileage because Mudo/Hama kinda suck and work better versus the player. Now that you can hit enemies reliably with damaging spells in those types you'll be knocking down lots of enemies ez. Dark weakness in general felt like one of the more common ones to me.
Ken gets Ziodyne, Light Amp, Kougaon/Makougaon, Mahamaon, mediarahan, samarecarm, makarakarn, tetrakarn, Dekaja, Heat riser (he can target this on other people) as the most notable things in his kit. He’s basically a healer and omegabuffbawd. His theurgies are massive unresisted light damage and a full partywide aoe heal/Revive + Makarakarn/Tetrakarn. His theurgy condition is going past half his sp bar and his theurgy passive is innate 5-10 sp regen to help his theurgy condition while giving him endless sp.
Koromaru gets Maragidyne, Eiagon, Maeiagon, Dark amp, fire amp, debilitate, tempest slash, Revolution, Masukukaja so he effecitvely is a crit monster and also your third best magic damage dealer after ken. His theurgies are massive dark damage and his second theurgy is an aoe charge. His theurgy condition is sadly not good for bosses since it involves exploiting weaknesses, his theurgy passive however is auto sukunda-masukunda which helps him and his party (especially Junpei) get fast crits right at the beginning of the fight when combined with revolution.
Its worth noting that Light/Dark based Gaon spells have massively better multipliers than the elemental Dyne type spells so both Ken and Koromaru effectively deal more damage than Yukari and Akihiko using their magic.
A Light boost spear and a dark boost knife exist, making them even better while freeing up their accessory slot for something else, like evading their weakness.
>Its worth noting that Light/Dark based Gaon spells have massively better multipliers than the elemental Dyne type spells so both Ken and Koromaru effectively deal more damage than Yukari and Akihiko using their magic.
Koromaru did more damage with his Eiga spells than Mitsuru even though she had Diamond Dust and 30 something more MAG. It was absurd.

The spell damage is definitely fricked up. I'm gonna try testing this Gaon/Dyne shit and seeing what's up.
Highest level of Light/Dark spells have a power of 350
Elemental dynes have a power of 220. Diamond dust has a power of 600 tho so unless mitsuru didn’t have both ice boost and ice amp it shouldn’t be doing less than Kouagon or Eiagon.
Aigis, Yukari, and Koromaru. Aigis and Koro get all party-wide buffs plus Debilitate, Yukari gets Amrita Shower. And that setup lets you equip everyone with unique gear that's specific to male/female/robot/dog.
When I played P3P I did Junpei, Mitsuru, Aigis.
For this, I asked a friend who is totally unfamiliar with the series to pick the 3 personas he thought were coolest to make my team.
He chose Junpei, Yukari, and Ken. I've always liked how goofy Nemesis looked but I think he actually looks pretty badass in Reload now.
Only flaw with the P4 cast?
Nobody to call senpai.
Are you levelling and augmenting your initial persona?
You'd better be, or I'll put a finger in you.
I summoned him back the second I realised the Major Arcana were a thing and that buffs could actually be earned in Tartarus. He has all 3 Growth skills and has better stats than most of the level 60 demons despite being level 40.
>The thumbnail for this video has rused me for a long time about Persona 3's twist villain
Bravo. Fricking track meet, summer school and career week are likely going to cost me getting max S-Links with everyone on the first go. Why did Kamiki just vanish?
>Jin and Takaya first round was easy, Jin jobbed immediately and i was underleveld >Chidori is a timed fight
God damn what a waste, Strega are still shit fight wise
I want the next game to take place in a smaller town again. It's the main reason why I like P4 over the others is I can relate much more to the setting itself and the people who live in it.
None, for frick's sake.
Bring back Nyarlathotep, make him trigger the beginning of the fricking end times, make the MC a schizo, lean into occultism, do some edgy shit instead of the generic anime bullshit.
So basically make it more like SMT while still retaining the S-Links twitteroid subhumans love so much.
>Bring back Nyarlathotep
P2 was fricking silly most of the time, it was not the edgy grimdark game you think it is, hell Niarly gets beaten by the literal power of friendship
I'd say he was beaten more like the shadows in P4 were beaten, he starts giving his evil bad guy speech about how he is the shadow of all humans and therefore humans suck and Baofu's just like "yeah, we know."
Persona isn't supposed to be like Shin Megami Tensei.
Persona was always about smaller conflicts and more recently also about teenagers juggling school life along with Jungian issues turned monsters of the week (or month).
If you want end of times shenanigans go play the mainline games.
I genuinely wanted to ask you if you really want to keep buying the same shit over and over again just with the protagonist having a different hair colour but I think I already have the answer.
Can't wait to go to the beach and eat watermelon with my teammates (who have a total of two personality traits to share between them) before fighting a boring boss with a paper-thin motivation and then defeating a god with the Power of Friendship™.
>It should be.
Then wait for Shin Megami Tensei 6 - Please, Save us, Demi-Fiend! Edition.
After SMT5 I don't think I'll be buying any SMT games anytime soon.
if you want Persona, but actually SMT, just play Devil Survivor.
So I think I got to the troony part? Was it censored or something ? Cause the “troony” seems more interested in scamming you out of money for something. Mentions something about sunscreen
In the original game, it's the only "woman" the group seems to successfully flirt with until Akihiko notices they missed a spot while shaving and have stubble.
I'll never get to use Inazagi-no-Okami or Satanael because I love filling out the compendium and the social gameplay is more engaging when you have to juggle leveling your social stats along with the S.Links,
After having played the Nusona games, 4's cast really had it much better than 3's and 5's. Adachi was definitely on point. I've been wondering, how would each cast fare if they had to tackle the events of the other games but with access to the same resources that they do in their original game?
Meh, they'd have Makoto dismantle his logic and Morgana say 'That is what phantom thieves do' and it would somehow assume you actually agree with that bullshit. And then they would beat up Ryouji escaping the fog becauseh e came out of a different TV
>4's cast really had it much better than 3's and 5's.
Maybe but 4's prologue sequence felt more solid than 3 for me. Yosuke's resolve kicked everything into action. Main characters could be left oblivious otherwise. It's like he's is the MC and we are just stealing his spotlight by reflecting it with plot armor. The game shows how intimate character's roles are right from the beginning making it closer to P1-2.
P3 is New Vegas tier with "the game was rigged from the start". There are SEES and Kirijo Group already established way before MC's appearance. MC just triggers the final sequence of mopping down aftermath of the 10 (?) years old initial catastrophe. P3 characters are more traumatized by the plot events but they start fighting first and straighten out their motives way later when they comprehend their initial traumas. >detective in a small town >a student with criminal record
Adachi would drag Joker's ass to PD every time he has a fitting reason, lol.
If we are looking at the situation from the point of old SEES cast MC really is the one. I don't know if you're being ironic and mean something else beneath it.
I haven't bothered continuing this guy's social link because he looks and talks like he rapes. Like out of all the characters in the cast, this guy would partake in rape the most. Nice resolution, too.
The classroom lessons? All Japanese literature. It doesn't matter if non-weebs don't know anything about Genji Monogatari, that's still talked about and you're asked questions on it like you should know.
The characters in that scene are studying for their exams, such as Japanese classical and contemporary literature. Orwell is not on those exams. Not only that, Natsume is not some obscure reference. Why did they feel the need to change it?
>The characters in that scene are studying for their exams, such as Japanese classical and contemporary literature.
What? He says that line after he asks you to pick a fake lecture for him to ramble on about, and then he just tells a bad joke each time. They aren't actually studying in this conversation, it's just comic relief. Do you think it would be funnier if the comic relief character, in an attempt to tell a joke, made a reference to a Japanese author from the early 20th century? You are silly.
Do you listen to the dub? It's a voiced line moron, you can hear him talking about Natsume, not fricking Orwell.

No shit dumbass, they fricking localized the line. I can't believe you "muh localizers!!!" motherfrickers have the brain power to literally learn a second language, yet you can't grasp the concept of some people in a room being like "Hm, I don't think this Japanese pun about a Japanese author would make sense to a western English-speaking audience. Maybe we should change it to an English pun about an English author." Jesus fricking lord.

Your audience is not moronic for not speaking a second language you fricking dweeb. God, the only thing that makes people like you tolerable is the mental image of how quickly you'd be fired from a localizing team for being a fricking sped who's objectively bad at the one job you have, which is to make a foreign script more accessible for an audience who doesn't speak the language that it was written in.

So why stop with that one line? Why not localise the entirety of it? All those historical lessons about Sengoku? Let's make the teacher really enthusiastic about the American Civil War instead, just ignore the fact that he's wearing a samurai helmet.

Translate and then localize this joke for a Western audience who neither speaks or understands Japanese, and doesn't know Natsume or Botchan.

Actually, just explain the joke to me. I'm a stupid American EOP. Tell me the joke Junpei is telling in the original script, THEN tell me how you would convey that joke to someone who doesn't understand Japanese or know who Natsume is, let alone the book Botchan specifically. You do this and I'll concede to your belief that these localizers were hacks for changing the reference to be 1984 by George Orwell.

The joke (as I understand it) is that Junpei hasn't read anything since he was in elementary school and had to read Botchan.
My stance is that it would be better for the joke to fall flat but teach people a little about the kind of material that is taught in the Japanese education system than to go for a joke that doesn't fit his character.
I'd be curious as to how the other translations (German, French, etc) handled it.

Don't they just take English version as the reference?

Depends on the company.
Sometimes, the english script is the only one making moronic changes

It's a pun. Botchan sounds like "bosha" which is a Japanese onomatopoeia for water splashing, hence the setup about the student reading a book.
Literally 99% of the time when a script is completely ripped out and changed like this, it's a pun or wordplay that literally cannot be understood unless you speak Japanese. The localizers knew this and changed the reference to a more well-known English author, and the pun into an English pun (Orwell ... oh well). This is objectively good localization, it's literally a prime example of people doing their jobs as perfectly as possible.

See, the more you know. I am glad to have learned something new.

It's fun to learn new shit, I agree, especially about a language and culture you're interested in. But surely now you understand why a localizer, whose job is NOT to teach you funny Japanese puns, but instead to localize a foreign script to be more understandable in the language and culture they're localizing for, wouldn't leave in the Japanese pun and would change it to an English one.
Hell, I'd be willing to bet they'd leave in the reference to Natsume if the joke wasn't a pun, but instead a reference to the contents of the story (something non-Japanese speakers could still know if they're just well read). But you literally can't localize this pun, it's just not funny unless you speak Japanese. This isn't "spoony bard" or "smash the patriarchy" localizing, it's just normal-ass localizing. Like, definitionally, the actual thing localizers are hired to do.
So what's the rewards for the whole "head to tartarus to rescue missing people" shit? from the police station? is this even worth wasting a day on? tartarus is done waiting for the next moon to push plot forward
Elizabeth will call you one day and they will start happening.
You should try to go to tartarus and do your tartarus shit 4 or so days before the next full moon so you can get all the requests in one go.
>You should try to go to tartarus and do your tartarus shit 4 or so days before the next full moon so you can get all the requests in one go.
Similar to P4, I found it best to leave it until the deadline because Elizabeth can and will drop last minute victims on you.
Maybe it's the camera here but new models look overstretched vertically. And I'm talking not about their head to body ration but everyone's legs being like long ass poles.
Robowombs are just a shot away. It's going to be amazing to watch the eternal Eve rip the mask off and still demand the right to an abortion even when the organism can be perfectly raised in a mechanical womb.
The issue is that you can smell the desperation from a mile away, she's the type of b***h who would do everything in her power to try to stay attached to you if you showed even a little affection, even if you found out she's a complete disaster of a person and tried to get away after you fricked her
because she won't shut the frick up about other women. it's to the point all she ever thinks about is other fricking women. if i wanted to date someone who wouldn't shut the frick up about some pop idol or obsessing about some chick's rack i'd sleep with a dyke.
There could be more content about other guinea pigs from the Stregoi project and early Aegis operations. Also there still could be other major shadow incidents before P3 events. Or making access to Tartarus itself as the final objective. So they had made some major progress back then in secluding shadows to Tartarus itself just to discover it's a fricking endless maze. This would support your qrd reasoning pretty well.
What do the non-Wild Card party members think whenever Makoto/Yu/Ren just walk off to the side for a while and stare at nothing while they're in the velvet room?
Yukari made a comment on it at the start of the game.
Is it part of the contract that they make with Igor that they can't elaborate on their powers? I'm not sure why they couldn't give a quick rundown on what they're doing otherwise, especially when the attendants both visit the school in P3/4 and 5 has the whole part imprisoned in the Velvet Room.
MC's plot disease that makes him die at the end makes him too tired to speak in complete sentences.
the prompts are the only time he says things and the rest of the time hes just nodding and gesturing
How do you guys sanction out the usefulness for your personas?
Do you make eachone have an element specialty, or put all offensive magic on one and make like a physical only one, heal one, etc?
Early on, it's just having elemental attacks on 2-3 personas, a good physical one and a support.
After that, with more stock size and more money/skill cards, I can make more specialized bullshit
At first, there's no way to make particularly specialized Personas so you just want each Persona to fulfill as many roles as possible. By the end, though, you have much more options and twelve slots so there's no benefit to making a jack-of-all-trades Persona that does too many things. The most practical approach is to give each Persona a single active skill and maximize its practicality as far as possible. Here's an example:
This should help you get whatever you need. Remember to change the settings to reflect whether you have DLC Personas or not.
You can get a lot of these skills via skill cards so try to make it easy on yourself as much as possible by making use of them.
4's shit was already laid out in The Answer, where Metis tells the cast that Shadows and Personas are two sides of the same coin. I don't think this is a retcon or just an easter egg, but an explanation using story details from 4 as to why artificial Persona users who lack control end up getting killed by their power.
metis is also aigis' shadow, but instead of being her negative traits it's more so her positive/ human ones
i think p5 did something similar with futaba's shadow
I guess that's what you get when you try to mass produce Persona manifestation on a factory level. So other participants not just got psychosomatic problems because of failing science experiments but they literally got eaten from within because these Personas degraded back into shadows.
I was wondering whether it was a retcon when I saw this line or something they decided to build on for 4.
I played P3P and I don't remember him saying this.
I've had some girl friends who couldn't cook for shit, and unless you're blissfully ignorant to the dangers, Door is absolutely right in thinking he needs to be a badass first. Terrible cooks make the foulest stuff.
If I don't give a shit about any of the 3 SEES girls can I just leave academics, courage, and charm at level 4? does anything need them at level 5? seems all the Slink unlocks cap out at level 4 BESIDES the 3 SEES girls which needs max level in a stat.
Is there any other reason to cap a stat besides that?
Junpei you lack vision or initiative. this is why I am the leader. Rubbing upon impenetrable surfaces can be pleasurable and she has a fully functional mouth.
is the reaper immune to crits? im stacking this shit like crazy and crits just dont happen. it also feels like theres a damage cap on how much you can actually do in a single hit as ive not seen a different in damage being charged up and not being charged
I am reading interviews and it seems that the next games are all going to be remakes of P1 & 2. You've them talking about Philemon out of nowhere and how they had fun with P1&2 references, and how they almost added even more deep cut references like SMT If.
I mean it’s just weird for Philemon to completely disappear when he’s so vital, like I get shelving Nyarl so he doesn’t show up every game but Philemon is the head honcho on your side
Yes but the crit cap is like 70% so you might hit it without boost.
None, for frick's sake.
Bring back Nyarlathotep, make him trigger the beginning of the fricking end times, make the MC a schizo, lean into occultism, do some edgy shit instead of the generic anime bullshit.
So basically make it more like SMT while still retaining the S-Links twitteroid subhumans love so much.
>muh edge
The playerbase grew up and left you behind.

They "grew up" to become the target audience of modern anime slop.
Go watch the fifteen identical seasonal isekai anime, homosexual.
Persona isn't supposed to be like Shin Megami Tensei.
Persona was always about smaller conflicts and more recently also about teenagers juggling school life along with Jungian issues turned monsters of the week (or month).
If you want end of times shenanigans go play the mainline games.
>Persona isn't supposed to be like Shin Megami Tensei.
It should be.
Who the frick is Victor Frankenstein? In the recent interviews they mentioned him and that he created Igor. What the frick. What's next, Dracula? Isn't Philemon the head-honcho?
the answer is kino
The Answer is garbage.
it truly is. it really does ruin how the story of P3 ended.
and lets be honest here, even if this game had the answer, female mc and every single update/upgrade one can muster to conjure, homosexuals here on /v would still scarp the bottom of the barrel for a reason to seethe and piss and shid their skirts are endlessly.
>it really does ruin how the story of P3 ended.
It's funny how, after all these years, people still don't get the purpose of The Answer.
It's a literal filter. If they didn't like the answer, they didn't understand the journey.
>It's a literal filler.
Fixed.

can you gays make a proper thread theres like 5 different P3R threads

Persona 4 Golden because it perfected the feel of being part of a tribe. Made me feel like I had purpose in a community. Then P3R and P5 dead last.

haha scrubs
I know there are no bounds to stretching fantasies. Yet that Kirijo initial experiment could be accounted to P1's main route events. On the other hand Snow Queen route is too confined and P2 plot goes over the top with its gossip escalation making neo Wolfenstein games a humble assumption while getting a lot of P1 characters. I think Atlus can give a "duology" trick another try by making solid interconnections between P5 and P6 or P6+P7. Although longer development cycles don't help with anticipating this.
summoning a persona in real life
bro thats not an evok-
Is akihiko weaker?he feels weaker, but i cant pinpoint where...
Give him strike boost and wait till gigantic fist and he will start to outperform most of your other damage dealers, only junpei is better
Gigantic fist?
Yes, he gets it at 39. Feel free to drop elec boost/amp. Akihikos main source of damage is effectively god hand and gigantic fist before that. I decided to just keep shock boost over the passive damage boosters
Akihiko:
Maziodyne
Elec amp/Ziodyne/Elec break
Diarahan
Shock boost
Evade Ice
Gods Hand
Masukukaja
Matarunda
Thanks anon
>Passive skill is increase buff effectiveness that he uses on himself
>The only buff skills he has only increases his accuracy and evasion
>Is akihiko weaker?he feels weaker,but i cant pinpoint where...
Punching is the weakest form of damage dealing in early-mid game
My memory of him is mostly just how good he was at filling the support role.
how the frick do you give gifts to people
What did she mean by this?
She meant that despite it being a dormitory for high schoolers, the presence of pets or young children is not explicitly forbidden.
she's so fricking cute bros, I was gonna go for Yukari or Fuuka but I think I might unironically romance her
Holy frick I can park my truck in that forehead
This has probably been asked multiple times in these threads but I haven't been following.
Never played Persona before. Should I emulate the original, Reloaded or Portable?
Reload
Sounds cool. My only previous experience with an RPG was Pokemon so I welcome any challenge.
Emulate FES if you can handle it being old but if not there's no shame in playing Reload otherwise. Portable is functionally pointless these days unless you wanna play as FeMC, which shouldn't be your first playthrough to begin with.
Start with Reload
P3 Reload.
Backport just came out but im getting this error wtf, should I install the update before the game?
The new Mass Destruction isn't so bad when you're listening in-game, but as a standalone track the instrumental just makes it shit to listen to. Lotus Juice rapping sounds good as usual, and I even got used to the way the new singer says "baby", but the fricking frog instrumental sucks so much ass that it's impossible to ignore.
I cannot stress how much I fricking hate it. It's like one minor edit/mix away from being all right.
oh man he's so cool
he's so insanely cool
For some reason Gourmet King seems to be a Social Link a lot of casual players finish for some fricking reason, is it just because the fat frick sits around in Paulownia Mall where you're going to go a thousand times?
Hes available on sundays and exam times so he's easy.
you unlock him by talking to the first sl you're introduced to and is always available
Because the guide says to, and most peiple are following a guide
>made a demon with auto Taru/Raku/Sukukaja
time to kill
Auto Taru is all you need. Maybe Auto Rebellion if you're feeling spicy
>Miss
I will never do a boss battle without masukuka. I've been traumatized.
does makotos outfit for mitsuru give her a phat ass?
Is there crack yet?
Even P5R isnt cracked after years, just give up and use gamepass if you wanna play it for cheap anon. Denuvo unironically won.
It's November in-game and I didn't unlock the moon social link because that guy just fricking sucks. Yes, this means I haven't hung out with Kenji to SL 4.
WANT TO BE CLOOOOOOSE
Takaya could have killed MC when he hit me with my weakness. Instead, he hit the weakness and then passed the turn over to Jin so they could land Marakunda. If the game felt like being an butthole they could have really just ended my life there and forced me to retry.
The game's already fiendish with a lot of adjustments they made. Instant kill attacks have skyrocketed rates, enemies will ruthlessly target weaknesses.
>absurdly high rates
, I’ve yet to see Ken die to a single mudo granted on the monad boss im remembering…it is possible it had sukunda on.
How many homunculus do you have? The second I ran out was when Door-kun got Nocturne'd by some mudo despite boosting evasion and it not being a weakness.
The only 3 I’ve found. I just finished the third block and there has been exactly 1 boss so far that used instant kill on me twice.
The instant kill attacks rates are way lower this time. They almost never miss in 4 and 5.
Use makarakarn and tetrakarn on mc when you have a weakness.
>koro gets a 200 power dark boost weapon
>junpeis strongest katana has in built apt pupil
>ken gets a 200 power light boost spear
>aigis gets a +1 turn to orgia mode armor
>koro gets an auto tarukabellion armor
>aigis ultimate weapon has innate arm master
>akihikos strike boost weapon is a low level 120 power weapon, his ultimate weapon is just an auto heat riser
Well at least akihiko can still wear strike boost accessory and dodge ice armor. Yukari and Mitsuru got just as cucked as far as weapons go, especially mitsuru.
>auto heat riser on the character that gets bigger stat buffs from buffs
that sounds absurdly good though?
It's not when you can have that covered by a persona with the auto-ma skills
huh? akihiko has a 300 power strike amp weapon
Seriously???? Frick yes hell yeaah. Is it from the police station?
I am relying on shitty incomplete item lists on the internet
im not home rn so i dont remember what it requires but i think its one of the high end antique weapons, gold quartz and diamond? also mitsuru has a +5 magic/ice amp weapon. alot of good shit is hidden behind the items specific personas give
Can junpei get slash amp?
Cause this weapon shits all over akihikos ultimate one.
no idea, i didnt start using junpei until recently since im in december and aigis is MIA. havent really been checking shit for him
Pointless when other characters can buff him. The strike amp knuckles the other anon mention sound much more enticing.
Anyone else notice they aren't using the "This guy" or "he is" in substitute for your name as much as they used to in P4 and 5?
They just simply don’t mention you
Yeah it's strange isn't it?
I forgot if this is how it worked in P5, but do homunculus protect you from an instant kill even if you have the weakness to it?
Playing with Japanese audio gives me an aneurysm every time Junpei says Yukaricchi but the text writes Yuka-tan
>can fuse captain kidd
that's because of dlcs, right?
Any of the DLC Personas should be fair game to use for fusion, since I think it worked like that in Royal as well. I didn't get any of the DLC Personas for Reload, so I can't test that out myself.
I think it's fine, but it is different compared to before. I can understand preferring her P3D model, which was nice too. Cute either way.
>Any of the DLC Personas should be fair game to use for fusion
No, i mean, i got him by fusing some two frickers together.
That's interesting. I didn't know you can fuse Personas to get the P5 personas like that. Well if you plan to use Captain Kidd, that will be good going forward, along with making any of the other P5 party member Personas.
Those personas are designed to be busted. I would avoid using them if you want a balanced experience.
Fair enough. If that's the case, I go to an earlier save slot, and just hope that doesn't happen again, during Persona fusion. I didn't bother with the DLC for that reason.
>that's because of dlcs, right?
Yes.
Fuuka's new model looks weird as frick, I think I preferred her one from the dancing game.
>check the Iwatoadai forum url
>"You can buy energy drinks from the station even if it says sold out!"
>Ends day
Wow, that doesn't seem useful at all.
it's free SP, bro. there's also a url that'll let you get a chance encounter regardless of whether the enemy is facing your or not
Assault Slash is so fricking cool. I want more moves like this.
For me? It's Yuko.
She is made for little kids
Yuko is for ME. I will obliterate those brats.
I'm enjoying P4's team manager more.
She's a fricking loser
But that's the best part. I love her too. Did P5 have a loveable team manager?
>Mishima
it says a lot about this character that I forgot he went to same school as you.
My favorite valentine event, btw
I became Ryan Gosling the first time I saw this scene. Why can't I have this in real life? Why can't b***hy girls actually be cute and loving underneath instead of just bigger b***hes. I hate it here, man.
Naoto telling you to impregnate her on Valentines right there on the beach is my favorite.
This fat b***h is by far the best Persona 4 girl and I'm tired of pretending she's not. I wish more social links in the series were structured like hers, it feels borderline experimental compared to everything else in 4 but they never went any further with the idea in 5.
DEBULB HER, FRICKO
Working on a few other cards right now and still gotta do some touch ups and work on some good outfits for her besides what she wears in P3, but don't worry the bulb head will be cured before I upload her to bepis.
Looking good.
Keep on improvin'.
>that room in the love hotel with three coffins laying on tope of one another and a fourth coffin waiting outside the door
Fricking lol
Why does going to the system menu have Door float down hanging off a 9
the system menu is the 9th option, baka tbh senpai
is it just me or do multi hit attacks do more damage even when its just single target? trying to decide if i want aigis to be pierce focused or strike focused with akasha arts or whatever its called
Insta-Heal
Oh nonononono
Who's gonna tell her?
Thoughts on a Junpei, Koromaru, and Aigis team?
thoughts on you not being able to make decisions for yourself?
probably the meta comp tbh
alternatively you can run akihiko instead of aigis for an even stronger team but then you'd have to give damage buff as MC or kill whatever you plan on killing in the first 3 turns
Meta comp for sure. Its just a very frail party with very little healing.
Koromaru has perfect synergy with junpei, akihiko and aigis.
I wish they'd get rid of having to have the persona/arcana in your inventory to get S.link bonuses
>i wish they’d get rid of one of the main money sinks
You people are mentally ill and addicted to game giving free handouts everywhere

It's better to make your girl of choice deepthroat you every day instead of hanging out with Nozomi.

b***h what are you on about? I ate all those fricking fish for this?
The person that modeled Mitsuru hair and head were different and intercommunicated with each other?
Please, for the love of God, can someone give me some tips for farming rubies? This shit is killing me
Do Akinari and Tanaka still guarantee a rank every time you hang out with them? If yes are there others that do?
Why did they gimp Akihiko, particularly in the theurgy department
i finally defeated the love boss and holy shit motherfrickers doesn't stop trying to charm my part, thank god i had like 10 repellents in my inventory
post your team
aigis/ken/koromaru is what i'm sticking with forever until aigis leaves in december
Did she have ice amp and ice boost?
The spell damage is definitely fricked up. I'm gonna try testing this Gaon/Dyne shit and seeing what's up.
Highest level of Light/Dark spells have a power of 350
Elemental dynes have a power of 220. Diamond dust has a power of 600 tho so unless mitsuru didn’t have both ice boost and ice amp it shouldn’t be doing less than Kouagon or Eiagon.
Ken is basically the most powerful magic damage in your party until mitsuru gets her very last skill.
Aigis, Yukari, and Koromaru. Aigis and Koro get all party-wide buffs plus Debilitate, Yukari gets Amrita Shower. And that setup lets you equip everyone with unique gear that's specific to male/female/robot/dog.
i tried this team for like 10 floors and had to drop koromaru because his barking is annoying as frick so now it's aigis yukari ken.
>his barking is annoying as frick
Yukari/Da Man/Aigis
Second year? Best year
When I played P3P I did Junpei, Mitsuru, Aigis.
For this, I asked a friend who is totally unfamiliar with the series to pick the 3 personas he thought were coolest to make my team.
He chose Junpei, Yukari, and Ken. I've always liked how goofy Nemesis looked but I think he actually looks pretty badass in Reload now.
Aigis, Koromaru and Shinji
I'm gonna miss Shinji and his chunky 1000 damage crit when he leaves the party.
Aigis and Ken. I'm rotating the last one.

Why did Kamiki just vanish?
Are you levelling and augmenting your initial persona?
You'd better be, or I'll put a finger in you.
But I don't get Thanatos until like November

I always level up Orpheus until Thanatos is available then use em both.

Should P6 take inspiration from P3, P4 or P5?
P3 and P4 for sure, P5 can frick off
It should take P3's tone and P5's gameplay
It should just finish P3 story
P6 will be Elizabeth freeing the soul of Door-kun, so he can finally rest in peace.
It should reinvent the series again. Metaphor along with Persona remakes will carry on the torch.
P3 so Minato can be laid to rest by Elizabeth
I want the next game to take place in a smaller town again. It's the main reason why I like P4 over the others is I can relate much more to the setting itself and the people who live in it.
None, it should instead take inspiration from Innocent Sin
None, for frick's sake.
Bring back Nyarlathotep, make him trigger the beginning of the fricking end times, make the MC a schizo, lean into occultism, do some edgy shit instead of the generic anime bullshit.
So basically make it more like SMT while still retaining the S-Links twitteroid subhumans love so much.
>Bring back Nyarlathotep
P2 was fricking silly most of the time, it was not the edgy grimdark game you think it is, hell Niarly gets beaten by the literal power of friendship
He literally won
>But the rematch
Didn’t count
Cope b***harly
I'd say he was beaten more like the shadows in P4 were beaten, he starts giving his evil bad guy speech about how he is the shadow of all humans and therefore humans suck and Baofu's just like "yeah, we know."
Persona isn't supposed to be like Shin Megami Tensei.
Persona was always about smaller conflicts and more recently also about teenagers juggling school life along with Jungian issues turned monsters of the week (or month).
If you want end of times shenanigans go play the mainline games.
you sound like those 14 year olds who whine about how power rangers doesn't have enough blood in it.
After SMT5 I don't think I'll be buying any SMT games anytime soon.
In the backlog.
if you want Persona, but actually SMT, just play Devil Survivor.
Who has the better route: Male or female MC?
Male, FeMC is a massive meme. No one ever actually talks about her S-links.

So I think I got to the troony part? Was it censored or something ? Cause the “troony” seems more interested in scamming you out of money for something. Mentions something about sunscreen
yeah, they changed it from troony to conspiracy-scammer
she really reminded me of tanaka
In the original game, it's the only "woman" the group seems to successfully flirt with until Akihiko notices they missed a spot while shaving and have stubble.
But now it seemed like she wanted to scam you?
Why the hell did that shadow Takaya and Makoto fought drop an evoker after it died?
Persona went berserk and took over a failed Kirijo experiment.

What color would they be, bros?
Pink with a Jack Frost face
After having played the Nusona games, 4's cast really had it much better than 3's and 5's. Adachi was definitely on point. I've been wondering, how would each cast fare if they had to tackle the events of the other games but with access to the same resources that they do in their original game?
I imagine Adachi trolls Joker to death.
P3 characters are more traumatized by the plot events but they start fighting first and straighten out their motives way later when they comprehend their initial traumas.
>detective in a small town
>a student with criminal record
Adachi would drag Joker's ass to PD every time he has a fitting reason, lol.
P3 protagonist feels like... the catalyst for the final battle in a long series where we're jumping straight at the end.
If we are looking at the situation from the point of old SEES cast MC really is the one. I don't know if you're being ironic and mean something else beneath it.

REEEEEEEEEE
HE WAS TALKING ABOUT NATSUME, YOU LOCALISER HACK FRAUDS
Whoa... it's almost like... they localized the literature reference... what the frick...
We can eat some hamburgers while your try to rest your case further, Apollo.
Ah yes, treating your audience like morons. That always elevates the text.
>Low-brow Junpei who barely passes his exams
>Giving a shit about English lit
>Knowing who Orwell is
>Ah yes, treating your audience like morons.
Your audience is not moronic for not speaking a second language you fricking dweeb. God, the only thing that makes people like you tolerable is the mental image of how quickly you'd be fired from a localizing team for being a fricking sped who's objectively bad at the one job you have, which is to make a foreign script more accessible for an audience who doesn't speak the language that it was written in.
>which is to make a foreign script more accessible for an audience who doesn't speak the language that it was written in
So why stop with that one line? Why not localise the entirety of it? All those historical lessons about Sengoku? Let's make the teacher really enthusiastic about the American Civil War instead, just ignore the fact that he's wearing a samurai helmet.
>Let's make the teacher really enthusiastic about the American Civil War instead, just ignore the fact that he's wearing a samurai helmet.
You literally answered your own question. That would be clumsy. Also, crucially, those are literally fricking class lessons, not jokes.
Look, the original line is:
>とある学生が本を読みながら少していたら、足お滑らせて池に落ちちまったんだって。
>そう。。。読んでいたのは、夏目 漱石の坊ちゃん。坊ちゃん。。。ぼっちゃん。。。ボッチャーン、なんちて。
Translate and then localize this joke for a Western audience who neither speaks or understands Japanese, and doesn't know Natsume or Botchan.
>You literally answered your own question. That would be clumsy.
So where does the general consensus lies? inb4: inside the chief editor's head
>It's a pun. Botchan sounds like "bosha" which is a Japanese onomatopoeia for water splashing, hence the setup about the student reading a book.
Like, definitionally, the actual thing localizers are hired to do.
it says a lot about how well the localization was handled this time that this is like the one thing people can latch onto.
I think I'm the only one who's latched on to it too, I haven't seen any other anons b***hing about Natsume being replaced with Orwell.
It's annoying but at least it isn't an actual class/exam question.
where's the persona 3 version of this
A shame we didn't get another Rise cameo in Escapade
So what's the rewards for the whole "head to tartarus to rescue missing people" shit? from the police station? is this even worth wasting a day on? tartarus is done waiting for the next moon to push plot forward
Elizabeth will call you one day and they will start happening.
You should try to go to tartarus and do your tartarus shit 4 or so days before the next full moon so you can get all the requests in one go.
ok but what's the rewards for rescuing the people?
money, skills, shit like that.
talk to kurosawa after you rescue them.
>You should try to go to tartarus and do your tartarus shit 4 or so days before the next full moon so you can get all the requests in one go.
Similar to P4, I found it best to leave it until the deadline because Elizabeth can and will drop last minute victims on you.
If there was a homosexual romance tier list Junpei would be the god tier of that list. Sorry for stating the cold hard truth
is it better to use gems for equipment right when you unlock the antique shop or should I just spend them on stat cards for party members?
Thoughts?

Robowombs are just a shot away.
It's going to be amazing to watch the eternal Eve rip the mask off and still demand the right to an abortion even when the organism can be perfectly raised in a mechanical womb.
Mediarama with Divine Grace is so handy when you're waiting for Mediarahan.
Honest question is she supposed to be ugly in-universe or are the MC and his pals just scared to frick an older woman? Is that seriously the joke?
She's not attractive.
My dick and nature as a heterosexual man obligates me to disagree.
I think she's meant to have hit the wall so she isn't as hot as she used to be, and she's so desperate it's offputting.
She starts to nag like a literal hag in P4 while still acting like a snobbish bride to be.
She joins the swimsuit competition because she's malding that people are more interested in the younger girls.
>Over 15
>Not virgin
>Not shy, instead openly horny
She is what Persona fans fear the most.
The issue is that you can smell the desperation from a mile away, she's the type of b***h who would do everything in her power to try to stay attached to you if you showed even a little affection, even if you found out she's a complete disaster of a person and tried to get away after you fricked her
Why do people dislike her when Three Houses had a character who was a drunk hag desperate for wiener and people loved her?
Not all hags are created equal.
Is it just me or does this teacher look like this streaming prostitute?
because she won't shut the frick up about other women. it's to the point all she ever thinks about is other fricking women. if i wanted to date someone who wouldn't shut the frick up about some pop idol or obsessing about some chick's rack i'd sleep with a dyke.
Everyone important's all here
Bland party setup with almost no synergy. Congrats.

Change Yukari to Junpei to turn tables.
Wouldn't work. That'd require actually creating outside environments to fight in. They ain't gonna do that.
man casually admitting he'd kermit to unlawful shit with effectively a adolescent's face.
he keeps calling me adorable and cute wtf
I mean in fairness, have you seen Door?
Apparently he was always a bit fruity. His nip dub is definitely a bit flamboyant, and his FES dub voice didn't really get that across.
This dude is present in P5.
He's also in P4, zoom-kun.
>want to take my bros to the cinema
>all my social stats are maxed and I still gotta max out moon and star
it's not fair

I usually just make two or three fricked up broken ones and use the rest as SL and fusion fodder
[XVI.TOWER] Cu Chulainn
>Primal Force
>Bloody Charge
>Pierce Boost
>Pierce Amp
>Single Target Boost
>Crit Rate Amp
>Apt Pupil
>Arms Master
I was gunna make a pierce Cu just like this. Thanks.
what's the fusion recipe tree to make this? I've been combining useful shit onto fodder personas for a while now.
https://aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p3r/recipes
This should help you get whatever you need. Remember to change the settings to reflect whether you have DLC Personas or not.
You can get a lot of these skills via skill cards so try to make it easy on yourself as much as possible by making use of them.
I just put auto-tarukaja and invigorate on all my persona
Is there still no downside to romancing every girl or do you get punished for it now?
There is no jealousy mechanic for the reverse links and no punishment for going 10 on all.
>they cut out those little bits that show the girl students freaking out and gossiping each time mitsuru walked into protag's classroom to talk to him
soulless...
so which arcanas have the absolute best personas? I'm planning to max out star, devil, strength, chariot, and idk wtf else is worthwhile.
Just fuse what you like the look of. Fortune has Norn, who is always one of my favourites across Megami Tensei games.

Never clicked that Berserk Personas are just another form of Shadow selves.
I was wondering whether it was a retcon when I saw this line or something they decided to build on for 4.
No way that was in the game before.
It was a plot point in Arena at least from what I remember
NO
YOU'RE NOT ME
I guess that's what you get when you try to mass produce Persona manifestation on a factory level. So other participants not just got psychosomatic problems because of failing science experiments but they literally got eaten from within because these Personas degraded back into shadows.
I played P3P and I don't remember him saying this.
"I am a shadow, the true self" never really felt quite right to me. In Japanese, it's
>我は汝、汝は我
>Ware wa nanji, nanji wa ware
>I am thou, thou art I
>我は影、真なる我
>Ware wa kage, shin naru ware
I feel like it should try to match the style of the "I am thou" line better.
So do you play with a:
>A: Canon/used in official works name
>B: Japanese name
>C: Random non-japanese name
>D: Joke name
A followed by B, like in SMTV I called my Nahobino after Dojima.
First playthrough A, the following D
Hiro Protagonist every time
A but sometimes I just name random protags Yu Narukami for fun
A except for Door-kun who I always name after myself because that's what I did in 2006.
Always A because i don't self insert.
I just use a Japanese name. Except my P5R playthrough where I used a Russian name.
A but P3 is a special case because of have suicidal indentions and feel like self-inserting as Door-kun.
Can I hug yukari on the beach or is that a big non no, or am I thinking of the one during her Slink
please respon
Yes.
You can hug her but Junpei wienerblocks you.
beach is fine, sl is no no
It's always no from you creepazoid
Metis When?
do VNs actually help with dating?
Sure, they give critical tips
like what? Girls are weak to anal?
Toesucker rin is weak to anal
I forget, were you able to go out at night in FES? Or were you stuck in the dorm?
There was nighttime since the start, but fewer things to do
Maximizing everything in a run in OG P3 was a nightmare
You maxed 9 of the S.Links in January.
Not just Mitsuru, but like Yukari, Tanaka, Akinari, Fuuka, Kazushi and Hidagiri.
Aw man Shuji Ikutski's new english VA kills it. I love the way he says things.
>Yukari's magic damage is hot garbage
why do they hate her?
No Junpei's is hot garbage, her's is windy garbage
>deepbreath playing during operation babe hunt
kek
why is Fuuka so tiny
fun sized
Oh man this actually got me, I didn't think this was gonna go this way.
Any wya to raise it for free?
either just bite the bullet and hang out or use the shrine on a day she's not available.
>I need to be a Badass to spend time with Fuuka
why does he have no confidence in himself
No you need to have badass confidence to eat her shitty food
I've had some girl friends who couldn't cook for shit, and unless you're blissfully ignorant to the dangers, Door is absolutely right in thinking he needs to be a badass first. Terrible cooks make the foulest stuff.
Why do bad cooks even exist, just follow instructions if you're not sure what to do, and taste before serving
Have you seen her cooking
Why was Fuuka's Thurgy not the Fuuka Bazooka?
That was always a fan thing.
So do all the girls just fall for Door automatically like in the original and you have to reject all of them at the end of their links?
If I don't give a shit about any of the 3 SEES girls can I just leave academics, courage, and charm at level 4? does anything need them at level 5? seems all the Slink unlocks cap out at level 4 BESIDES the 3 SEES girls which needs max level in a stat.
Is there any other reason to cap a stat besides that?
Junpei you lack vision or initiative. this is why I am the leader. Rubbing upon impenetrable surfaces can be pleasurable and she has a fully functional mouth.
>men really live like this and see nothing wrong with it
Awaiting the obligatory "damn b***h, you live like this?" edit
>its another episode of fuuka giving everyone buffs despite already being buffed
frick this prostitute. CHARGE/CONCENTRATE US YOU b***h
is the reaper immune to crits? im stacking this shit like crazy and crits just dont happen. it also feels like theres a damage cap on how much you can actually do in a single hit as ive not seen a different in damage being charged up and not being charged
I am reading interviews and it seems that the next games are all going to be remakes of P1 & 2. You've them talking about Philemon out of nowhere and how they had fun with P1&2 references, and how they almost added even more deep cut references like SMT If.
>and how they almost added even more deep cut references like SMT If.
Where'd ya read this, anon? Do link, I wanna read it.
I mean it’s just weird for Philemon to completely disappear when he’s so vital, like I get shelving Nyarl so he doesn’t show up every game but Philemon is the head honcho on your side
how about you spread on my desk instead and let me eat that artussy
Stay fricking jelly.
Funny there's a reference to Tokimeki Memorial since it basically invented the kind of social stat building that Persona 3-5 does
Tokimeki 1 is such a bullshit game. Frick bombs.
>crit boost
>crit amp
>apt pupil
>revolution
Do these all stack?
Boost and amp stack in general
Yes but the crit cap is like 70% so you might hit it without boost.
>muh edge
The playerbase grew up and left you behind.
>The playerbase grew up
They "grew up" to become the target audience of modern anime slop.
Go watch the fifteen identical seasonal isekai anime, homosexual.
>Persona isn't supposed to be like Shin Megami Tensei.
It should be.
>It should be.
Then wait for Shin Megami Tensei 6 - Please, Save us, Demi-Fiend! Edition.
Is the English VA for Ann the Takoyaki shop girl?
Who the frick is Victor Frankenstein? In the recent interviews they mentioned him and that he created Igor. What the frick. What's next, Dracula? Isn't Philemon the head-honcho?
Play the Devil Summoner SMT games
You better post those interviews because this is the first I've heard of this lore
>already romanced Chihiro by mid-June
isn't that a little fast for a relationship
i want to take an amrita shower with yukari
How does an amrita shower feel like?
LMAO, there is a Netflix live action show and a Netflix phone game based on Shin Megami Tensei in the works.
is daisoujou still fricking godly
Reminder that Vorpal Blade is now pointless because the protagonist can pretty much fire off Scarlet Havoc every other turn.
how come party members don't flop out of the dust cloud during an all-out attack anymore
