I just finished the game. So…he is Jesus ? Also I just checked is Atlus really going to charge us 30 bucks for The Answer?

Maybe $20, though I could see $30. The Answer has a bunch of shit in it that would probably bulk up its price. In the original P3FES, The Answer had just as many cutscenes as The Journey and a ton of voiced dialogue. Pretty much all the budget went into those two things.
I’m pretty sure they could have included it here. So you know they will charge up like 30 bucks for its
They could have, but I can't imagine any company would add something like that for no extra cost.
Hopefully it's a DLC that includes more content in the regular game as well.
A new postgame block for those of us who gangraped The Reaper would be nice.
>he is Jesus?
Yeah
Does anyone have this in crazy high quality? I really want to use it as my wpp
how can he be Jesus that's already literally Aleph?
1) All the protags of mainline SMT are messiahs
2) Aleph is literally a fake messiah made by butthurt angels
3) different series
4) You're stupid.
all of the games including catherine are connected, moron
But Aleph literally can't exist in the Persona universe because that universe spun off of SMT 1. No 1000 year kingdom = no angels waiting for a messiah = no Aleph being created. Unless you think there can only be one jesus in the multiverse in which case see number 4
The realest messiah of megaten
Isn't that a surgeon?
Yes You Fricking moron. Hes From The Video Game Series Known As trauma Center. probably i dont know
back when Atlus wasn't a b***h
SMT1 protag is Adam, SMT2 protag is fake Jesus Christ, SMT3 protag is Anthony Kiedis, SMT4 protag is the reincarnation of the SMT1 protag making him also Adam.
And Joker?
Joker challenges authority instead of sacrificing for the people. He is more of a force for rebellion against how Japan is now and seeks to remind people of injustice and that it can be overcome.
Since the Persona games take place in a universe where SMT1 happened somewhat differently, as in that Japan was never nuked because of SMT If (the Persona games happen after SMT If), you could make the argument that maybe the Persona protags are variations of the SMT protags.
So who Joker reminds us of? That is, from the mainline SMT?
The Persona games take place in a universe where SMT1 never happened at all.
Originally, Persona was part of the Devil Summoner universe, and Raidou Kuzunoha VS King Abaddon shows that SMT is a separate timeline. Raidou's actions in that game seemingly prevent SMT from ever happening in this timeline, thus leading into Devil Summoner 1, SMT if..., and finally Persona. However, the links between Persona and Devil Summoner have weakened drastically with each new installment. Devil Summoners existed in Persona 1 and 2, but they never did anything. They were completely worthless, lazy nothings who never contributed anything of value even as the entire world was crashing down around them. Devil Summoners flat out have no presence at all in the games starting from Persona 3. By Persona 5, Yaldabaoth and Maruki were wreaking havoc in Japan's capital and neither Yatagarasu nor the Kuzunoha clan saw fit to do anything. Either Devil Summoners no longer exist in Persona, or they went through such a sharp decline that they're now too incompetent and useless to be of any help.
There are some dumb references to Raidou in the newest Persona games, but otherwise you're right. The Kuzunoha clan are never mentioned in a serious manner. You could make the claim the Persona 2 rebooted the series.
Thing is, the Kuzunoha Clan still kinda existed in P2. Even in EP, there's still some vestiges of the presence of Devil Summoners felt here and there. That's all gone starting from Persona 3. For better or for worse, Devil Summoners no longer have a place in Persona, and the world's first and last line of defense against the supernatural are Persona Users.
Once again you're right.
But who knows. The leaks about Atlus wanting to release more and more remasters, remakes and spinoffs might make them bring the Kuzunoha clan back. I think Atlus biggest problem with the concept is that they're unable to market the games to China and Korea because of the whole style of the Kuzunoha clan.
The Kuzunoha Clan exist beyond Raidou. The first game with a Kuzunoha was the first Devil Summoner game with Kyouji, released in the mid-90s. The Kuzunohas maintained some existence in Soul Hackers, and also appear in Soul Hackers 2. In fact, Soul Hackers 2 was the game where we finally learned the name of the fourth branch of the Kuzunoha, alongside Kyouji, Raidou and Geirin: Mangetsu. So the Kuzunoha still maintain some sort of presence in some of Atlus' games. It's just that none of those games have been Persona, at least not for the past fifteen or so years.
Maybe Atlus felt that the Devil Summoner franchise could stand on its own, aside from the flimsy Persona connection from the early games, and that Soul Hackers 2 could be that game that would finally push the envelope.
This is a great point, and is probably explained by the changing of directors throughout the production of these games. It's like when an author dies before his novel series could be finished, so now another steps up to complete it in what he thinks follows the intent of the original artist. The resulting stories are related, but we know they are not part of the same true whole.
I kind of like how it is now, that every new game can be on its own and doesn't require previous understanding. Aspie dudes new to the games can experience a story that's relevant to them and their peers independent of everything that came before. Maybe the new story will help them get into the real world like p3 did for us, That's why I think P6 is taking so long, the dev team hasn't honed in on what the new audience needs to hear yet. P5 is still fairly relevant to teenage shit in modern Japan.
The difference is that the current team are constantly creating spin-offs meant to bridge P3, P4, and P5 into a single and unified universe. They even promised more spin-offs tackling side stories, so i don't think these crossovers are going to end.
My biggest fear is that Atlus eventually will try to tie up the whole "Door-kun" storyline in a separate spin-off which will just be odd as frick.
SMT3 is actually a spin-off of SMT1 the same way SMTIf was. I learned of this recently then i played both SMT1 and SMT3 to check. It checks out.
In SMT1 during its initial segments there is a mention of some cult killing in a park and something shady happening in an abandoned hospital. SMT3 take this and goes from there.
ToT
If The Answer is similarly paced to the FES version, it'll take 30 hours on average to complete. So I could definitely see them charging $30 for it.
Honestly if they manage to keep the Answer challenging with Reload's new combat additions, the overall package might overtake FES for me.
They might just not have Theurgies at all. I mean Aigis would definitely have to lose hers and I doubt they'll give her Fusion Skills.
For both story and gameplay reasons Aigis can't have Orgia Mode, obviously. They could also trickle in the Theurgies for gameplay and story reasons, to represent that they've been out of practice for a few months (which was the reason they were down at Level 25 originally).
Like maybe don't start with any Theurgies, get the 1st ones after Ken's memory, get the 2nd ones later (maybe after Yukari's).
I'd like if they thought up entirely unique Theurgies for Aigis. While her awakening as a Wild Card is intrinsically linked to Door, it would be nice if she had something unique to set her apart from the others.
Theurgies come from cartridges. Either they have the cartridges or they don't. If nothing else, they'd have to weaken the Theurgies to create any sort of challenge.
Explain it away that they expended all the cartridges they had fighting Nyx and that they need to find more by digging through Ikutsuki's stuff (which is something they're gonna do anyway to find info on the Abyss).
I'm still gonna stick to my baseless assumption that Persona world has something like Great Will from SMT which revived Makoto and allowed him to live the next 5 weeks because that was Makoto's only wish, to keep promise to his friends. Just like I'm gonna assume that he was fine until the March 4th because when you talk to S.L. on that day a lot of them will say ''you don't look so good, you should see a doctor''.
I always assumed that Door survived for so long through sheer force of will. By the time March rolls around, the finish line is in sight and he's fricking exhausted from trying to hold on for so long.
You Fuuka gays are really eating good huh

If The Answer IS DLC, they'll probably have to add some updates to the main story as well. Ideally, I'd like a new extra boss that doesn't force you into a 1v1.
Garbage character
Dogshit party member with an awful skillset
Worse Morgana, at least you can give Morgana debilitate and a severe damage wind spell. She doesn’t even get Salvation.
>at least you can give Morgana a severe damage wind spell
what? how?
Best Character
My hotwife Yukaricchi is so cute!
Best character in the game.
Bestest and Kinoest romance.
She is far less annoying than in the original. One thing to have a female character be hot and cold, whole different to do like they did with OG P3.
Yuck!
Yum!
Yeah, he plays the role of the messiah.
It contrasts a bit to Takaya, who actually looks like Jesus. Takaya even amasses a big following that he leads towards the coming rapture. He wishes to bring about death/Nyx as a salvation for humanity's apathy. Kind of like a revelations thing.
The SEES crew rejects the rapture as salvation and defeat Takaya (who even passes out/dies in the classic Jesus Christ pose). After battling Nyx for some time, it becomes clear that Takaya is right in some way, humanity's flaws and apathy will bring about Nyx.
The MC gains understanding of the bonds that link humanity and obtains the power of the universe arcana. He sacrifices his own life to seal the negative sides of humanity from reaching Nyx and bringing about the end of the future. In this way, I guess you could say he dies for their sins.
Something like that anyways. The characters are stand ins for greco-roman gods and people, and that era of humanity ended with the coming of a messiah. It just turns out, in P3 at least, the one with the long hair that led a cult and died in a t-pose was a false one. The real one was not really known to the wider world except through the memories of his friends.
Lots of ways to interpret the allegories, even if some are a bit on the nose.
i fricking love persona 3
According to Kazuma Kaneko he likes to design the Messianic characters based on real musicians. That's usually how you know if a character is meant to represent Messiahs. Aleph, Demi-Fiend, and so on are all based on musicians. Takaya was based on the Red Hot Chilli Pepper guys.
Kaneko didn't do the designs for P3, though it wouldn't be strange of Soejima inherited some of his idiosyncracies. In the case of P3's Messiah, it's literally an ascended Orpheus, who's like THE musician of Greek mythology.
The messiah design is just so cool.
In the awakening, Thanatos (death) literally rips out of Orpheus. Then it turns out that you have unknowingly been fighting the death within yourself the entire game (Ryoji/Pharos/Thanatos).
It is only at the end when resolving fully your judgement arcana that you are able to fuse the two back together. Orpheus gets all of his limbs back and internalizes the true meaning of death to become the messiah.
He faces death one last time and is able to complete the tarot-style fool's journey (Ryoji-Nyx literally goes through the first 13 arcana as phases), and use this true understanding to obtain the power of the universe.
I dunno, there's a lot of symbolism and I can't really see the whole story, but it's super interesting nonetheless.
I think that the real ending should have been locked out if you weren't able to fuse messiah, but maybe that's asking a bit too much of a casual audience. If they stayed awake during Edogawa's classes, maybe they'd understand this.
Why musicians?
KINO
>The real one was not really known to the wider world except through the memories of his friends
kill me
the Antichrist refers to people prophesied by the Bible to oppose Jesus Christ and substitute themselves in Christ's place before the Second Coming
"For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce great signs and omens, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect."
Surely Takaya is playing an Antichrist figure with MC being the true Messiah?
No. Takaya is just a false messiah. His actions hold no sway in anything. His Nyx Cult neither facilitates the Fall nor hastens it. Nothing he did mattered in the slightest. If he were the "Antichrist", then his actions would have been vital to the end of the world in some way, but this wasn't the case at all.
I'd argue making a cult of suicidal people, which strengthens their conviction of their fatalistic thoughts, would make Nyx arrive even faster. Or as Answer revealed, Erebus stronger. However I agree his cult of several dozen people (or a hundred at best) is just a drop in a bucket in grand scheme of things maybe it doesn't matter at all.
Narrative wise, though, seeing his people roaming about and making speech about the end of the world make the last part of the game more depressing for the player so at least there's that.
The Answer is fricking trash. Don't play it. Avoid it at all cost. It'll only serve to ruin Persona 3's story and its characters.
To be honest i think almost ALL SMT protagonists are meant to be Messiah on some form or another. You usually have the LAW faction of the games representing the israeli religion, mythology, and folklore. It is purposely israeli, with israeli-only bits, and israeli-names. But the protagonists are always some sort of messianic figure that always end up dying in the follow up and the NEUTRAL route always carry some sort of preference that pushes the narrative of humanity appeal.
They really nailed the ending but the new version of Kimi no Kioku kinda sucks. I hate using the term but the new singer sounds soulless.
Damn straight, they crushed the ending and especially the final animation.
I know what you mean though, this is too great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfUEmgoV8Gs
I felt the same way about the mass destruction vocal performance (wish soulless wasn't a buzzword on Ganker, because it's apt here). At least you don't hear that version so much since you're ambushing most of the time. A lot of the other songs were pretty great as well, only a couple were weaker than the originals. The new shop theme was a standout for me.
>Mitsuru and Akihiko's faces contort into a 1000 yard stare
P3's cast really is the most traumatized after everything huh
Its gonna be 40.
She will break a whole new generation. She will set the zoomers straight.
My theory as to why Messiah has arms on his sword is to reference Hindu deities like Vishnu. Messiah has four arms, same as Vishnu and Shiva.
they will wait to release the DLC until after the game is off game pass so everyone has to pay
i like how Yuki's all out attack one liner is just a spoiler
>Didn’t want them to remake the game
>Liked the remake more than a lot of the people who begged for it
I always win. Even when I lose.
I feel like a lot of the beggers were people who couldn't stomach FES because it was too "dated". Reload definitely brought P3 up to most of the modern QoL but there's still some obtuse, unmistakably P3 shit in it.
They're probably mad it didn't change more.
Yeah, outside of Tartarus it’s basically the same. And it doesn’t have the The Answer or Femc so it’s not the super ultimate definitive edition people were begging for. I just enjoyed it for what it was cuz it’s never gonna replace FES.
It will if The Answer hits as DLC.
Femc’s still kinda up in air. Her fans will an hero if she’s not DLC.
FEMC isn't in FES.
That's a good thing. God FeMCgays are cancer
>no Fe-MC
Okay, I guess I kind of get that that was limited to something from Portable and some felt it was kind of crammed in and not done very well, right? I mean, it would be better if they did include Fe-MC option and expanded on it to feel more integrated of course, but if they had to cut anything I'd rather they cut that rather than any other content, including FES' stuff
>The Answer
Why the everloving frick not?! i mean if they don't take the time to made a DLC expansion for it what's the point of an overhaul like this if its not the definitive edition in just about every way.
>Why the everloving frick not?! i mean if they don't take the time to made a DLC expansion for it what's the point of an overhaul like this if its not the definitive edition in just about every way.
So they can sell it as DLC if data mining is to go by.
Well, if they do it well I have no problem with that (and its priced reasonably), as opposed to just fricking off and ignoring any of it. Its one thing for 'okay, we have to make the FES or portable exclusive stuff as DLC with the same degee of overhaul and expansion we did for the base game's content' its another for them to just frick off and not bother after making a full priced remake.
>or Femc
you are delusional ranny, your game sold like shit. you are moronic
it's funny how people suddenly started caring about the Answer when Atlus announced that it wasn't going to be in the remake.
for years it was something that wasn't worth playing. P3P, manga and the fricking anime just ignored it.
>i dont want another P3
I'll never understand why people are autistic morons. The original game WILL ALWAYS BE THERE STOP BEING A homosexual HOLY SHIT
persona 3 reload was made to replace persona 3 fes, its why there is no toggle for original ost, its why fes is not available at all on modern consoles or pc, its why they are even including the answer in the game. I would not be botheredwith persona 3 reload if persona 3 fes was readily available on steam or something
>PC Black person
>Too lazy to double click a PS2 emulator
I can't anymore
doesnt refute my argument
They could instead make a new game with a new story.
Isn't Jesus supposed to rise again?
Why do you think ATLUS came up with the whole "Elizabeth is looking for a way to free him" sub plot back in P4?
"Let's make a subplot and not expand on it for a decade"
We're not going to see it, that's why Margaret said it's good the chains of time are loose for them. She's literally just going to free his soul so it's not worth dwelling on.
>Door-Kun wakes up in 2109
This scene is unintentionally hilarious. You just get up and start walking out in total silence until she just goes "wait don't go I NEED your door wiener now"
What dose the Blue Envelope say in Japanese? Hard be believe it's a DLC hint since The Answer is called "Episode Aigis" in Japan.
any mods that give the girls a fat ass?
The P3 girls could definitely be a bit more corpulent. More stuffed where the eyes can’t escape, as they say.
I just realized that when the Fortune roulette lands on death and does nothing it's referring to Shinji
Most posts I see call it a joke about how it worked in the original and how it could be cheesed.
Best version reporting in
Jesus is the main character of a lot of my favorite video games, I’ve noticed.
As in what, the messianic archetype or the appearance?
The archetype.
What i find interesting about Atlus/SMT is that most of the lore, specially Law aligned lore is based on israeli stuff, as in there is no room for Jesus Christ. YHVH, Lucifer,, Satan, Metatron, and so on. It's all based on israeli lore.
But then SMT have Messiah figures that are usually the protags, and they're essentially alien to the setting, as in they show up and completely wreck the laid out plans. Most of the time pissing off the Old Testament YHVH.
Thats because Jesus is actually real and not a demon, all the angels are demons too in this series
Yahweh is not the creator god in smt but merely what people think he is like based on the old testament thats why he is dependant on human belief to exist and wants to force humans into his worship
Or maybe its just Japan not understanding Christianity as usual, it works out all the same so its fine
>Yahweh is not the creator god in smt but merely what people think he is like based on the old testament thats why he is dependant on human belief to exist and wants to force humans into his worship
There’s a word for this concept: an egregore.
To be fair, Yahweh was not the creator got in real life either, that was a israeli retcon to try and convert people to their monotheistic (formerly pagan until they decided to change it to amass more followers) religion. Yahweh was a war god.
SMT is portraying YHWH more accurately than real life.
I just find it interesting the way SMT makes it a clear point of separating the Old Testament stuff, which is more israeli inspired when it comes to the demons aligned to the Law route, from the New Testament stuff, which is more focused on the protagonists and more representative of the NEUTRAL route.
I agree I see neutral as the great will path aka as the actual creator God path
what did she mean by this
It is incredible that so few pixels can effectively convey an image of a cat, no?
this is funny if you've played with image generators, they can't draw anything right without a large amount of pixels, and would especially have trouble recognizing images on a low resolution screen.
>appears out of nowhere

> learns the art of business from the best source possible

the amount of based from this guy is neverending
no wonder he had to die had he survived the whole universe would have collapsed from his basedness
he almost even compensates for the rest of the cast being unironically worthless
I wanted to kill myself when this happened at 4 am ~20 mins into the fight already
>”Nyx Avatar is easy now” they said
He hits like a truck on merciless. And he starts using Hanged Man’s beast eye skill.
Yeah I don't know where people are getting off calling this game easier than FES. Maybe if you don't play on Merciless but I've pretty regularly had to refight floor bosses and I have to stay on edge or I can easily die.
Maybe I'm just not being super autistic with my builds.
If you debuff and buff it shouldn't be too bad, even on merciless
Especially if you did the reaper at all, doing it once will likely make you overleveled for Nyx
Just use Armageddon, collect MP full or exliter and you can kill Nyx’s 3 phases in 30 minutes.
is he immune to debuffs?
the debuffs disappear when the tarot card changes
no but you have to debuff him every phase.
totally on anon.
You're wasting your time if you're using debilitate on every phase, Koro needed like 5 more damage to change the phase and remove his concentrate so he doesn't one shot

bro they charged 70$ for a remake yes of course they going to charge you 30$ for the answer actually it wouldn't suprise me if it was like 40-45$
what even is the answer? i never got around to playing it in p3fes. all i know is that aigis is the main character.
Dungeon crawl with an atlus dlc waifu
You also don't get any social link bonuses to let you outlevel trash fights so it's s l o w
The Answer (Episode Aegis) was supposed to come with the The Journey (Episode Hero) but they were so tight on time and money that they ended up releasing only one part of the game, only to make a definitive version later on called 'FES' containing both parts. In Japan ATLUS ended up giving out FES for peanuts for people who already had 'Persona 3' because it was supposed to be one game. kek
https://litter.catbox.moe/800sk3.png
Why didn't Takaya shoot Junpei again?
Takaya literally never intentionally shoots someone twice. even that guy he gets paid to assassinate in his first appearance. He shoots him once, Chidori says "he's not dead" and Takaya just doesn't give a shit. When Shinjiro jumps up and takes a second bullet Takaya is fricking pissed, and then throws a tantrum about it and leaves without trying to shoot Ken again.
the most reasonable explanation is just that getting .500 magnum bullets for a handgun in Japan is really hard and he can't afford to shoot anyone more than once
nobody who has beaten Reload could be moronic enough to keep going "HURRR WHY NO TEH ANSWER" when the game very clearly is double if not triple the budget, time, and effort of Fes.
Even before it came out it was unrealistic to think they could’ve made a remake of this already long as frick game and also included Femc and The Answer while still maintaining the quality of the game with their time and budget. That stuff was always gonna be DLC they tackled later.
It can't be triple the effort when the entire game structure and writing was already done for them.
Don't forget character and Persona designs.

The Reaper is a pushover b***h so yes. He spawns really fast on dark floors.
Good to know.
It's not a waste of time if you're having fun.
the reaper isn't that hard and you could have killed him at like level 70, which would have immediately gained you 20 levels. all of the grinding you did going from 70 to 89 was an active waste of time.

P4 when?
Within the next decade. We already know it's in the plans but it hasn't been started to be worked on yet, unsurprisingly since ATLUS has a number of projects already in development.
This game is turning me into a complete fricking b***h. Even cliche anime lines like this somehow manage to get to me
There's nothing wrong with being a b***h
I have exclusively dated b***hes irl…
And how's that working out for you?
Not great! Don’t think I’ll ever do it again if I can help it.
why are you coming to p3r threads when you're only in october
I've played FES twice ya dummy. Somehow Shinji's death made me actually cry this time and the whole thing just makes me way more emotional
P3 characters and story are so good because it takes a seemingly simple theme of life and death but tackles in it a way that's extremely close to the heart while showing the many different and complex ways people can experience things like this.
When I first heard what it was about I thought it would be a painfully generic take on the topic but it wasn't at all.
>Orpheus was the one who kept the Argonauts steady
>Once Door dies, the group almost immediately begins to fracture, at least spiritually
>When the group needs him most, Orpheus returns from Hades to guide them once more
I identified really heavily with Orpheus when I was a preteen and teen. This game seems to understand me very well
Is there really no way to get ez money in this game for my fusion autism?
Doing the golden hand thing and grinding for money makes me way too overlevelled.
Right now I'm at 11/29 first block of harabah and I'm LVL 68. Merciless too
Even bosses are getting 2-3 shotted by Crit braveblade spam. Unironically thinking of hacking in money so I won't get overlevelled earning money.
Tbh I think this game is easier than even p5r, at least there earning money didn't give you a shit ton of exp.
Just killing mobs with the devil card for double drops and star/justice to always pick the money card will give you more than you need

Sometimes I wish Ganker had mods.
As someone who unironically likes this guy's videos, this is a very shitty take on his part. I was kind of expecting like this, but the tactics thing is such a small complaint I don't really think it's that important. You only play with AI if you're a casual anyway, the real OGs will have direct control on at all times.
>real OGs
>direct control
???
Yeah, you heard me. If you suffered through FES with the AI teammates, you know how much better the game is with teammates you can command yourself. Not rocket science, anon.
>dont criticize the game i like
I’m surprised he cares about tactics. He didn’t seem like the type of megaten tuber.

>Accepting open minds for lights
>[Chorus: Azumi Takahashi, Lotus Juice]
>One day these quiet voices will be heard
>Loud and clear, the story of the ones we miss
>(Lotus Juice: Stand up)
>But shed no tears
>Realize what they left behind
>(Lotus Juice: Nothing easy, get up and go! Go get it! Go!)
>Explore within the limits of the time
>No one should need a permit to a way of life
I work alone and have been doing a pretty embarrassing amount of karaoke sessions to this during the day
The RELOAD official soundtrack is on Apple Music if any of you homies use it. PS5 people get Apple Music for free for 6 months btw. That's the only reason I'm using it.
I've it on Steam with the portraits and shit which i wish i could extract as images.
>streaming
Oh no I do something for free oh no
Just go to the Apple Music app on the PS5. Should say get 6 months free.
Can you locally download off of Apple Music?
>PS5 people get Apple Music for free for 6 months
how
I always heard the answer was just grinding dungeon and very little if any story moments.
Skipped it entirely because my friend said they literally just undo the ending and Aigis dies instead and it's literally just a swap.
I know people are moronic but are people really excited to drop $30 on that?
>because my friend said they literally just undo the ending and Aigis dies instead and it's literally just a swap.
Your friend must be moronic, because that straight up just doesn't happen.
people bought a dogshit remake for $70, why wouldn't they buy the DLC as well?
I thought it was ok, atmosphere is just kinda off idk how to describe it and so are the songs. But I also rented it for $1 so maybe I'd be a bit more butthurt if I had payed full price. Am super blown about the music tho and unironically put finishing it off till I can be arsed to do music swaps.
You're fricking shitting me.
>You're fricking shitting me.
The entire plot of The Answer:
Aigis becomes so depressed she practically ejects her emotions out and becomes robotic again.
The dorm becomes trapped in time-stasis, everyone inside can't get out, the same day keeps repeating.
Another robot girl called Metis shows up and tries to kill the party saying they are responsible for this.
A dungeon opened under the dorm. After beating up Metis, they work together to solve things.
They go through the dungeon, opening mysterious doors that show each character's past like Junpei running away from his alcoholic dad, Mitsuru's protecting her father as a e-girl by summoning her persona in Tartarus for the first time. Etc.
They follow a shadow that looks like the MC.
They fight the shadow who looks like the MC and uses all their personas. It falls apart, it's revealed he is amassed from their memories.
They find a coliseum that will give them a key either to the past (fight Nyx again) or the future (move on). The party splits 4 ways and they have a tourney. Aigis beats the shit out of everyone and uses the key to see the truth.
They watch the MC use the Great Seal and become a door. (Hence the nickname Door-kun is born).
Metis is revealed to be Aigis's rejected emotions she got rid of to protect herself from heartbreak. They rejoin together.
Everyone decides to move on, refusing to let his sacrifice be in vain. Elizabeth subtly says she will try and find a way to remove his soul from the seal, though he will likely not come back to life, merely be put back into the cycle of reincarnation like all humans.
Its a great conclusion I dont know why people hate it so much
Lots of people are stupid on top of also being autistic
I think it's because this is one of those moments where the mystery of the aftermath is more interesting than the actual answer.
I'm bad with words right now but I hope that makes sense.
I get it, and that's why I say The Answer is unnecessary, but it's still a nice story and a fantastic, optimistic twist to Orpheus's descent into the underworld.
Because it's bad.
Because it's completely unnecessary and doesn't add anything to the plot. Absolutely nothing changes. The plot is cheap, just like the drama.
Sounds kino as frick, went and watched the part where they're arguing. my friend was a massive Black person for lying to me this hard. I don't even get the point lmao.
A lot of people refused to play it because it was mandatory hard mode and did some questionable shit like removed the compendium and gave all bosses triple evasion against their weakness so it was way harder than the base game, but the story itself is good.
Sounds fricking awful, I'm fine with buffing and increasing the difficulty (triple evasion is gay tho) it's technically post game but removing the compendium? The frick?
Yeah it sucks, that's why everyone's looking forward to it being remade. They will undoubtedly fix all that shit.
Unless they decide not to.
They probably will. Even some of The Journey enemies and bosses had their Counter and Dodge/Evade skills removed.
Removing compendium makes sense thematically because it's essentially looking up the record of your personas made in the past. The whole theme of Answer is (forcefully) make you look to the uncertain future, i.e. you gamble your personas arsenal.
Source: my ass. Back in FES days I also defend the decision to not be able to control your allies as a feature because it thematically fits.
I like that, however I'm a gameplay first kinda person.
However, still a neat touch and things like that are why 3 was always my favorite.
4 is fricking great, 5 was fun but 3 just felt like it had the most love put into it, even if it had some roughness/jank.
The Answer literally doesn't change a single thing about the ending, it's about the party learning the truth about MC's death and moving on. Nothing is undone.
Nothing is changed.
Your friend has brain damage.
Do all the people that cry online about wanting femc even know that one of her romance options is a ten year old?
>do they even know
it's impossible to discuss femc without someone bringing it up
>we will never have comfy threads like 2-3 weeks ago
it hurts
The game is a 9/10 if it weren't for the fact that it is very easy, with Siegfried I spent literally almost the entire game, since he has a lot of critical, 50% cut increase strength= 1k
PS: they ruined nyx, she doesn't attack twice, and with theurgy you can get 3 k, was so fast that I couldn't see his anti-attack ability
>they ruined nyx
It's not my fault he doesn't use debilitate, And don't kill The reaper twice to be level 99.
I literally threw two theurgies at him and got more than half his HP, Mitsuru got 2k with concentrate.
When I played FES many years ago, I remember not getting more than 700 with a buff, and since I attacked twice, I made more weaknesses and killed my teammates faster.
It was so easy that I never used soma.
Pa: I don't understand why The reaper attacks twice and Nyx doesn't.
The fight is easy, even on merciless, especially if you've played megaten before. Like
said, the theurgies stacking with amp/boost and crit skills making it simple to blow through the phases of Nyx. Mitsuru with a charge and diamond dust can blow through a health bar without a debuff on Nyx.
You should have enough money/gems to buy the necklace from the club that nulls all ailments for the MC and the armor from the antique shop that nulls mental ailments for a couple of other party members too.
That anon just fricked up, no offence to him. You shouldn't let your MC be not at full health vs Nyx with a charge unless you're planning on proccing endure or enduring soul. Was risky to go for the kill with koro there.
What's the best late game equipement for Shinji?
Bulletproof vest, he's gunna need it. He becomes very weak to piercing attacks.
Does he learn Enduring Soul?
Yeah.
He learns Endure. But it's a pretty low chance of him getting hit twice in one turn
nope only endure
Even if you level him up in vain hoping that one of his skills will be enduring soul, you learn that the last skill he learns at level 70 is firm stance. Meaning that he can no longer dodge attacks.
I'm gunna give him the omnipotent orb on ng+
my sides
damn
>Suddenly everyone loves The Answer.
>Suddenly FES was hard.
>Suddenly FeMC is popular.
Totally organic, sure.
Everyone who actually played The Answer and beat it, loved The Answer.
Most people were filtered by auto-hard mode and bounced off and decided to call it shit and not worth playing to cope.
Please don't even try to suggest that you wouldn't want an improved The Answer that addresses any actual valid criticisms like a lack of compendium. They could very easily improve it.
>Everyone who actually played The Answer and beat it, loved The Answer.
How can you lie like this? How can you live with yourself?
The Answer is a terrible slog, the same hallways for 30 hours is not fun
So how many Jesus types are there?
P3 protag, SMT2 protag (the most obvious one), and what else?
I think those are the main ones. It made me happy finding out who Hijiri in Nocturne was.
frick off.
Go frick yourself, you lying piece of shit. The Answer has been considered garbage since its release.
>Is he Jesus?
His ultimate Persona is "Messiah", who carries Thanatos' coffin necklace signifying his victory over death and his signature skill is called " Salvation", yes he is, and he is not, Persona Games are based on Jungian Psycology, which states that Human behaviors are based on common archetypes, that is why gods, heroes, villians, etc in religions and myths across the world are so similar, meaning that Persona 3' s MC is simply a modern sacrificial Savior and similarities with Jesus are due to the archetypes.
"Salvation" is actually called "Messiah Riser" in Japan. It's sort of funny how P5 tries to give Messiah a worse version called Oratorio, blatantly ignoring the fact that Messiah was given Messiah Riser because, I mean, it's in the fricking name.
>tfw that FeMC mod will never truly scratch the itch of FeMCgays
>It won't have her S.Links, the cast won't treat her differently, she can't use naginatas, you can't save Aragaki, you can't romance the shota
If the FeMC mod ever actually gets completed, it'd be funny to see all the "B-But it's not enough..." responses.
It may be a lot of effort but I don't see why they couldn't do a total conversion mod.
There's a reason why there hasn't been a conversion mod for P4G and P5R. It's too much work.
They can't, because p3p has different a different voice cast than reload. Using subs will provide more consistent experience but do you think the average kotroongays play with subs?
>literal ywnbaw
It's poetic
the femc mod will blow the frick out all of the p3 reload appologists, i pray it gets completed
For casuals it's a good game.
For Hardcore fans it's a bit lacking in some areas. personally I expected them to adapt some stuff from the drama cds, anime, manga, etc. Strega got screwed over again lmao
>For Hardcore fans it's
still a good game.
Evidence: me.
The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Attaining ones, dream requires and stern will and unfailing determination. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. The silent voice within ones heart whispers the most profound wisdom. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Celebrate life grandeur, it's brilliance, it's magnificence. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Only Courage in face doubt can lead one to the answer. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. It is indeed a precious gift to understand the forces that guide oneself. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. There is both joy and wonder in coming to understand another. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. One of life's greatest blessing is the freedom to pursue one's goal. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. To find the one true path one must seek guidence admist uncertainty. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. It requires great courage to look and oneself honestly and forge your one's path. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Alongside time exist fate, the bearer of cruelty. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Only with strength can one endure suffering and torment. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. In the face of disaster lies opportunity for renewal. The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yet arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Beyond the Beaten Path lies the absolute end. It matters not who you are, Death awaits you.
>Only with strength can one endure suffering and torment.
i didnt get how this one related to the s link
Choco cutie was constantly bullied and had a hard time managing the team and school, it takes fortitude to not break under so much pressure at her age
I hate how they didn't remove this, but they didn't show it either
they show half of it when you open his persona skill menu. the problem is when you cast it the gun is already in place, losing the impact.
I'm talking about the fusion spell shot, it's still there when you use scarlet havoc and armageddon but they didn't show the moment door used the evoker
did you get 100%?
>achievement for the reaper
>not for elizabeth
>except in p3p
atlus moment
No achievement for Elizabeth because they know how fricking shitty of a fight it is.
yes but it took me additional 50 hours to prepare for elizabeth on merciless
this metis girl looks a lot cuter than aigis
the black just looks a whole lot better
She is super cute and I hope they make her more bratty in the new one.
Yeah, by gays.
You lying sack of shit.
How am I lying? I tell only the truth. Only loser morons hate the answer. This has always been the case.
The Answer has been universally hated since forever. Stop the cap.
i didnt play the answer yet but i was surprised to learn that the door thing that everyone always talks about is not even in the main game but is actually in the answer instead
The door thing is the most literal explanation possible for his fate. The Answer was made for morons that didn't understand the ending.
I only just now realized that the skirt is made of four wings mimicing the four wings attached to Nyx Avatar's waist.
what happens if you don't have yukari in the hotel boss fight? i know there's no alternate scenario but how does she get in the hotel room if you don't fight with her.
So I'm at 7/7 and I have a Yukari/Akihiko/Mitsuru
>Tarunda/Rakunda/Sukunda
>Flourus with Auto Tarukaja/Rakuaja/Sukuaja/Revolution
>Jikouten with Getsu-Ei and Zan-Ei/Single Target Boost/Slash Boost/Crit Rate Boost
when will the game get hard again or is it pretty much over until Nyx?
There are some hard optional bosses but they're behind Monad doors and it depends on how well you're fusing.
is it pretty much over for the main story bosses?
yeah it's not a hard game to begin with.
welp maybe this wasn't the best game to start with merciless or i guess technically it is.
HOW THE FRICK DO I GET THIS MOD TO WORK PROPER THROUGH RELOADED-2.
>P3RP3RContentPaks~mods
It's not a Reloaded mod.
Apologies then. I have to stop speed-reading through things.
Yukari medium is Weenie Hut Jr. anyway
https://litter.catbox.moe/en25wx.png
https://litter.catbox.moe/6vhb5b.jpg
I will now pirate your game
>Skirt makes Mitsuru's ass look massive
>It's actually cute and kinda small.
Cute.
It's funny because they most likely nerfed the female character asses when they are wearing the sexy armor, however since Fuuka doesn't appear on combat they completely forgot to nerf her, so I got that screenshot.
So that's why they make her stand with her ass against the wall.
Totally, she already flat too so there was nothing to nerf there and that's pretty much the only part of her you will see during combat when you activate her theurgy. Atlus pretty much forgot about the model kek, top company.
Mitsuru's ass is best in Makoto's PT outfit.
I am in the 99th percentile of handling extreme jrpg tedium but being served up two extra buckets of tartarus in the answer after the main campaign was unreal
If you want some hardcore old school jrpg then just play Megami Tensei. It's better in every single way. The Answer is legit bad.
>MC fell asleep
>Game ended absurdly
Thats it?
Don't get what is the big deal about it
Are you also confused about The Sopranos ending?
?si=eWwvseYCsMQRZmDj
There is no proof
He is probably just tired
Yeah, casting a spell that costs all your HP sure is draining.
Yeah kinda weird they made such a big deal about him moving back home in the end.
someone make a reload version of this
>release P4A with original VAs
>release P3P with original VAs
>We have a great idea for P3R
>should we pay the original VAs a moronic amount of money or should we hire LITERAL FRICKING WHOS for fricking cheap?
Dub voice acting is all the same who gives a frick
99% of the recorded lines could have been copy pasted, and most of them are still in R. I can't go 5 seconds without Strassman or Ruff voicing a background NPC.
>99% of the recorded lines could have been copy pasted
Did you not play the game? They added new scenes and SL are voice acted now. What a stupid thing to type.
For the original lines which are the majority of the game, then record the new ones. The original VAs are still kicking around in the new dub.
*except one VA :^)
Would sound completely busted because of people aging and recording setup being slightly different, nobody ever mixes 15 year old VA with new shit no matter how cheap they are
The Destroy All Humans remake did, they brought Pox's VA back to do tutorial lines and it's distractingly clear compared to the crunch old voice lines.
I'll reserve judgment until the WIP restoration mod is finished. The creator wants to add configurable per-character toggles, and whether to mute/mix undubbed lines.
While not the exact same situation, Vesperia Definitive mixed.
Yes, every time I've heard this in a game it's pretty jarring. It happens in the intro of MGS2 HD when Otacon is explaining the controls to the player on anything that isn't a PlayStation. Christopher Randolph randomly sounds a decade older for some mysterious reason for a couple of lines.
Should I buy this game or Persona 5 Royal? Where should I start with Persona? The only SMT game I've ever played before was the original Strange Journey, which was cool.
Persona 3 Reload is a great place to start. First of the nusonas. From here on they follow the four temperaments/humors.
P3 is a classic. Think of it like an SMT game spliced with slice of life sim.
I think he should start with Persona 4 Golden. The QOL shit from P3R and P5R are going to make P4G feel dated.
It ultimately depends on what sort of story you want.
Do you want a game set in 2009/2010 and takes place on a fairly high tech/modern artificial island? A story that follows an emo kid and deals with themes of death and living life to the fullest before it inevitably takes you? Persona 3 Reloaded.
Do you want a game that's set 2011/2012 and is set in the complete opposite of the previous game's setting, a completely landlocked and fairly mundane village/town that deals with less existential bullshit and more so with accepting yourself, regardless of how much it horrifies you or hurts to do so? Persona 4 Golden.
Do you want a game set in modern day 2016/2017 tokyo that follows a student that a corrupt politician blamed for assaulting him and made you out to be the villian, even though you didn't actually do anything wrong since he was trying to kidnap this random woman, probably to rape her? With everyone treating you like a delinquent and deals with themes of just how utterly FRICKED Japanese society is as opposed to the more mystical or personal themes of 3 and 4? Persona 5 Royal.
I'm very tired.
>I'm very tired.
Close your eyes.
this is cool, i will use this everywhere
Actually, what shit does Royal change about the base game that makes it better than vanilla? I know the third semester and endgame stuff is supposedly great, but what does it do to the actual majority of the game that you play through that makes it better?
Gameplay balance. More Personas. Social links balance. More events. More cutscenes.
>Gameplay balance.
Imbalance, more like. Bullet refill being DLC-locked in vanilla was shitty, but Royal's solution broke the game in half. Baton Pass giving moron strength buffs was completely unnecessary.
I almost never used guns in Persona 5. Persona skills are almost always better. Should have given them status effects bullets like SMT 1.
Some of the guns actually do. It's part of why they're so fricking busted in Royal.
I don't know why they made gun normals limited in the first place. Literally just follow what smt games did.
from what i remember its tiny stuff like you see future party members in the background during earlier months and stuff.
Also: At least 3 new characters:
>Shmexy redhead gymnest girl who uses lever action shotguns.
>Aizen, but he's a school psychologist.
>White haired, yellow eye'd little boy with a weird haircut.
>Actually, what shit does Royal change about the base game that makes it better than vanilla?
Base game changes are persona Characteristics, changed dungeon, will seeds, cutscenes and a bunch of tiny little shit including 2 new social links.
makes akechi less shit
adds a cool new area
extra story events that are pretty fun
the cat doesn't force you to sleep 10% as much
So is it worth wasting a night to save everyone who goes into Tartarus? I’d rather use it to level skills. Do you get anything for saving everyone besides items?
You get the satisfaction of saving a life. What the frick is wrong with you?
But what about the satisfaction of eating brain improving with seafood?
I’ve just been going into Tartarus the first day the new section opens up and getting to the next border floor in a night. I’m more asking what’s better for completing all social links
>I’ve just been going into Tartarus the first day the new section opens up and getting to the next border floor in a night. I’m more asking what’s better for completing all social links
Go the night before each full moon as well to get them all.
Oh they’ll be fine in there up until the full moon? If so I can do that then
I probably didn’t do it optimally like that but only academics is left to max out and that’s at 4
Yes absolutely, you get some awesome rewards from it.
Save your Tartarus visits for near the end of the month.
https://www.powerpyx.com/persona-3-reload-100-walkthrough/
Are you sure you are leveling the right skills on the right days?
>Take a break from the guide to improve charm
>somehow stretches to three days when the guide claimed it would work, two days ago...
Even with the guide, it seems like the game was patched to screw people over.
You're not super pressed for night schedule in 3. I visited tartarus multiple times a week and still got telos.
You should generally wait until pretty late in the month to go to Tartarus.
No, go to tarturus a few days before a full moon, save everyone and reach the barrier in one go.
Virgins are really bad at making nipples look good
Not gonna lie, senpai. I don't really see the need of this.
Not the best model/texture but seeing her naked silhouette in the menu is pretty hot
how about Yukari
I'm done.
Yukari is PhysX enabled.
>Mogs Yukari and Mitsuru
cheeks
Hmm I see.
Now let's see Virtue's dump truck.
>got spoiled ok the ending
Is it even worth it to continue playing? It's tonight to swallow knowing that all I'm doing is worth nothing since I'm going to die anyways.
>It's tonight to swallow knowing that all I'm doing is worth nothing since I'm going to die anyways.
Anon the game's message is literally have fun while you can because we are all going to die one day.
The game is almost 20 years old, anon. Spoilers don't really matter that much anymore.
Sad to say but one day you will die in real life, and 100 years after your death, no one on the planet will know about you or care and everything you ever touched in your life will be long destroyed. Your actual life doesnt matter.
Yeah, in fact the game is better with you knowing the main character has 1 year left to live.
The game tells you that MC-kun has one year to live at the very beginning of the game.
no it doesn't.
p5 fricking sucks. play it if you huff MUH SOCIETY harder than netflix does.
i liked it, and im not ashamed to say that its what got me into jrpgs and i would recommend it to anyone who arent comfortable with the genre
you should be. i will agree that p5 is a solid recommendation for anyone new to jrpg though but you huff farts.
>no it doesn't.
Yes it does.
no no no yes yes yes there's no such thing as trust or justice
>no it doesn't.
This guy didn't listen to Philemon.
What the frick is a Philemon
It's the blue butterfly.
shinji dies, ikutsuki betrays you, mc dies (you already know that) 🙂
>All I'm doing is worth nothing since I'm going to die anyways
Yeah, you should drop the game. You're too dense to understand its message.
>people whining about the dub
why the frick are you playing persona in english
I hate subtitles they're hard to read.
>reach first mid boss floor of the answer
wait a sec if there are no s-links.... my persona fusing s-link experience? don't tell me...
They made it more mainline-like which makes Persona-only gays have a meltdown.
>Make a Persona expansion
>Remove all the Persona mechanics.
Might as well make a SMT game. Wait, SMT are actually fun, unlike The Answer.
I thought it was plenty fun.
No social links to boost personas and no compendium makes the gameplay trash.
jfc youve got to be kidding me
this is going to be a long 30 hours
>just read there's no compendium either
WHAT i hope this is a lie
I beat it twice, you'll be fine.
Just fuse smartly, makarakarn trivializes the final boss, keep Metis with you at all times.
No compendium legitimately sucks.
>WHAT i hope this is a lie
It's not a lie. Have fun farming personas like a moron for the special fusions.
smtvv
>60 dollars
persona 3 reload
>70 dollars
Why? is a PS2 remake more expensive than a rerelease of a 2021 game with an additonal campaign attached
Persona is more popular.
About a third of the personas look like David Bowie
Makes sense, David Bowie was the most occult man alive.
>David Bowie was the most occult man alive.
Are you sure? I saw him on TV a lot.
I guess I have to play more SMT games now. I already like religion, magic and all that other woo-woo stuff, and seeing so many faces I recognize in this game is very amusing.
Play Strange Journey, SMT V, or SMT IV. You won't regret it. You aren't ready for SMT I and II. Nocturne is meh.
I'm sure I could hack it in the first two games, but now I have to purely out of spite! I already happen to enjoy old-school blobbers, anyways.
I'm definitely picking it up once it's out. I was actually on the fence between buying this game and SMTV, but then Vengeance was announced which made up my mind for me.
If you've got time, play 3 before 5. SMTV is a direct sequel to Nocturne.
oh, they aren't all direct sequels, huh? noted, I probably will do that then. I'll probably just break out the PS2 for that one instead of buying the remake.
Yeah that's fine. Plus SMT3 is a great game even by itself.
That's true you don't need to play 3 but it does make 5 better and will make the average player more interested in what happened.
Nocturne and 5 are tied together, 4/4A is a soft sequel to 1 and 2/SJ.
>oh, they aren't all direct sequels,
No. The only direct sequels are SMT 1 > SMT 2, and Nocturne > SMT V.
btw you dont need to play 3 to understand 5, only autistics that have played 3 would see the small references in 5
>I'm sure I could hack it in the first two games
It's old-school hardcore JRPG. Save spots are few and far away. Dungeons are massive mazes filled with unfair traps. Every encounter could easily lead to game over. The place you fuse is practically hidden, and filled with encounters. The map is a spell.
Don't use save-states for maximum masochism.
I'm so mentally ill that I own a SNES with a flash cart and genuinely prefer that to emulation. Save states were never on the table to begin with.
Sounds like something I'm going to enjoy smashing my head against.
Try checking out Megami Tensei for the NES. Can't get any more hardcore than that.
Funny you mention that. I did actually give Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei a spin on my SNES but ditched Megami Tensei after about half an hour. I have watched the OVA before and really enjoyed it, at least.
That movie is fantastic. The plot has that Megami Tensei mark of starting in one place, and then suddenly everything goes to frick and you end up in who the fricks knows.
checkout smtv vengeance when it comes out. it will likely be the most accessible smt game. smt3 and smt4 are cool though, i haven’t played the snes games yet.
4 has that moronic overworld map. I quit that game after finishing naraku and never looked back.
Persona isn't that ecchi tbh, so I'm not bothered by the ass nerfs, Yukari looks fine with her bikini and a really small short.
However, what I completely despise from Reload is no panties at all, frick that. A $70 game, already rated M with an incomplete character model (Yukari) with no panties at all, all because westerners are snowflakes. Frick Atlus, frick the westerners. I'm waiting for a mod that actually puts panties on Yukari and finishes the model at least.
The original didn't either what the frick are you b***hing about?
He needs something to b***h about.
I agree, it did not, however the original didn't had anywhere near the same graphical fidelity that Reload has.
There's already a mod like that
>blaming the west for CERO's autism
Fuuka love
What did she mean by this?
She will be nearby to hangout.
Just like you she has no womb.
without compendium im scared to fuse anything
You do have a compendium in this game though
in answer
yeah i realize personas learn moves sooner in the answer, as in it seems they learn a new move every level
so it's not too big a deal to fuse them away, probably
I assumed its because media uses more sp, and if even a single party member is not under that threshold that the ai says "you NEED healing", it decides it's not worth it to use media and instead prioritizes dia.
Another annoying quirk, yukari if under 100sp or so will just not use sp healing and will opt for shitty medicine instead. Even if you needed a spell.
She uses them if you specifically set her to heal/support, AND theres basically no healing for her to do instead.
Incidentally, she used it for me the first time during the fortune shadow boss, the one with the roulette wheel. She was on act freely, I didn't even know she had those moves at that point because she never used them before.
She used them a lot during the nyx fight, and just let yukari do the healing, which was nice.
In The Answer? Fuse anyway, just autistically reset stat pages until you can carry over the 4 elements. I beat it twice, I just spammed All Out Attacks, which is pretty easy since Metis consistently targets weaknesses if she can too. Get a party member who has access to Masukukaja and you're set.
No compendium means I just have to hold onto the three sisters of fate for a while to fuse my personafu
>Want to fuse Messiah in The Answer
>You end the game like level 80 and need to be around 90 to fuse Messiah
christ
Once I get the urge to replay this, I'll have to try FES and the computer-controlled party members. I have to respect the hell out of them for trying something like that but can't imagine it actually working very well in practice.
Speaking as someone who played FES 3 times, the AI is abysmal. Absolutely fricking moronic.
>Enemy casts Tetrakarn
>Junpei summons his persona to use a physical attack on it, eats shit and dies.
>Everyone's below half HP
>Yukari, in her infinite wisdom, instead of using Mediarahan, uses Diarahan to try and heal us one at a time.
At some point you just take party members to keep the heat off yourself while you just wipe the entire battle alone. Your party is fricking useless.
iirc the reason the ai uses single target over group is that single target is more accurate
with healing its less clear, it might have to do with how the ai checks sp
So what's the reason Aigis refuses to use party buffs on Tartarus floor bosses? She just skips her turn instead of using a single buff.
She WILL buff for The Reaper/Nyx Avatar but I've never seen her buff for anything else.
you have to set tactics to heal/ support for party members to buff consistently
I did. Aigis wouldn't buff on any setting, especially heal/support. She would rather toss 50 hp medicines and skip turns than use a single marakukaja.
no idea than, maybe she's just moronic
>maybe
sasuga kirijo tech
>we taught her wrong, as a joke
>not setting everyone to knock down whenever possible
You did this to yourself.
I'm making observations about ally AI, of course I set them to knock down and did everything myself after I satiated my curiosity.
I was just tired of people pretending FES had good AI for your party.
Works better than you think. Works worse than what fans imply.
I like to think that the reason Aigis can't use the Compendium because Elizabeth is unwilling to let her overwrite the protagonist's Personas.
wtf was her problem?
He could save this by turning around and saying "Get it? I miss you."
didn't know the rizzler posted on Ganker
Reminder than in The Answer, Orpheus Telos can't have more than seven skills. One of those skills is Victory Cry.
is the P4A stuff still canon where mitsuru and akihiko are still running a shadow hunting mafia?
Yes
canon is for losers
>track meets skip days
>no after school social links available in holiday
>summer school skips days
i just want to get inside yukari, why is the game so intent on stopping me?
marrying social links to the school, especially ones with others behind them, was a huge mistake.
>demake
You literally didn't play the real game.
This game just confirmed how much I want to frick Aigis
How do you gus finish games so fast? I game up to 10 hours a day, but probably no more than 4 hours on a single game, I can't imagine finishing a Persona game in under 2 weeks, a few hours grinding repetive dungeons is plenty, say early in the day, then I might do the same at night. so thats 4-6 hours a day on one game, but then I might not play for a couple days and focus on another game. It seems like everybody races to finish new games that come out. Theres always been the morons that marathon a entire game wanting to tell everybody the ending and post it on youtube but what motivates a person to finish a 80-100 hour game in a single week?
...
>anon (age 32)
Chris is actually 42
someone told me Akihiko sucks in Reload, but this motherfricker is absurd with buff amp and having auto matarukaja means he's consistently pumping out the most damage sans the MC
is there a definitive tier list of who to use?
definitive? not really, but I can tell you that for the final battle, I used
>Akihiko
>Aigis
>Koromaru
Akihiko is just a ridiculously powerful striker provided you keep buffs running (his theurgy is misleading, his gauge increases if he has ANY buffs running during his turn, not if he casts them) Aigis has strong dps and can provide party buffs and healing in a pinch and Koromaru just shits out strong magic and keeps debilitate rolling, I used my MC to heal when not doing damage
honestly, they are all pretty good, especially if you invest in their special equipment in the antique shop. Junpei is kinda lousy in the midgame, but really amps up by the lategame, especially if you invest in his equipment where he becomes a crit monster.
Everyone is pretty strong even on merciless.
I swapped around lots to keep everyone around the same level.
I used Mitsuru, Akihiko and Ken for most of the boss fights, they seem to be the best to me. Ken's theurgy personality makes it fun to spam his high sp skills and hover around 50% sp permanently. Makarakarns, tetrakarns all the time. His second theurgy can let you kill the reaper at a very early too by reflecting everything back at him. Akihiko is a monster, the wording of his theurgy is just misleading. Mitsuru just hits hard.
Just swap around with what you like, lots of great comps.
So long as you have all three buffs up, all 3 debuffs up, use charge/concentrate with whoever can and raise crit with phys party members you're golden
Healing can be done with items (you shouldn't need to heal every turn if you do all of the above as well)
It honestly doesn't matter. This game isn't hard enough to require min-maxing, even on Merciless. The most difficult challenge in the game doesn't allow you to bring a party in the first place.
>auto matarukaja
the game really does not want you to have that as if justifying akihiko. your options are one of the DLC personas (p2w or cheating) or yuko/fuuka/fool max fusion around level 80. I got lucky from a Reaper shuffle, and in card form.
I think I used an accessory for that, can't remember how I got it though, so I got the Strike Amp accessory for Akihiko and slapped the Auto-Mataru accessory on Aigis or something, I also had Auto-Masukaja shoes, but again, not sure where I got them
So what's the deal with Edogawa? Guy knows a surprising amount of occult knowledge and covers topics highly relevant to the SEES team. He covers the Izanami & Izanagi tale for the Investigation Team in P4 as well.
Is he a god/higher being in disguise watching the protags progress, like a Philemon type of being? Is he aware of the dark hour? Or is he just there so Atlus can dump some hermetic qabalah knowledge for the audience?
I think he would have been interesting as a social link, maybe as the hermit arcana. I thought he was one of the only teachers that were actually interesting to listen to anyways.
I think he was part of the Kirijo group at some point. It would explain everything, and not that far fetched. So was the Antique Shop girl and the entire island was basically made by Kirijo.
I had forgotten until an anon posted a screencap, but he was one of the researchers of Ergo Labs. You know, the guys who were fricking around with occult shit and science, experimenting with Plumes of Dusk and orphans.
He's a self insert of one of the old smt writers
>man we did all this research on these topics but we had no clue how to really implement them in the story
>cant let it go to waste now can we? lets just force the player to read ALL our notes on tarot and occult, maybe test them a bit hehe
Anyway I don't think theres anything special about him he's just a wacky occult nerd.
He's there to use the fast forward button
he's based on some old atlus guy who was a real occultaboo
a massive text dump so I didn't feel so bad fastforwading everything, already listened to the lecture in the original.
The character is based on Shogo Isogai and in fact was revealed to be the "Untidy Researcher", one of the three Kirijo Group researchers that appears in Labrys' story mode of Persona 4 Arena.
The others being the "Female Researcher", aka the antic shop owner from P3/P3R.
Thank you anon
Here's the antic shop owner. That's why she knows so much and is so cryptic. She was part of the Kirijo Group.
Are you sure? Her hair and skin are completely different.
Thicc Mitsuru mod dropped boys. Here's the DL.

>my eyes are up here
call me when the ken or maiko mod are done
there's a busty/nude portraits mods made with AI that includes Maiko... the result is something.
Corpulent and stuffed
mama. mommy.
Will it get uploaded to Nexus?
Probably not. The Yukari mod isn't on there and Nexus is just as cucked as the other sites. Somebody might be able to upload it to basedmods, though. Yukari is still cuter anyway.

i never played fes without the direct commands patch, after constantly playing turn based smt games ive grown kinda sick of it. does the command system make the game feel different enough when compared to other smt/presona games?
$70 remake with a $30 dlc, you could have just emulated the vita version
Just play it on gamepass
The costume DLC is the only good stuff, and they’re like 8 dollars all together. The music and broken Personas are a waste. And the original P3 costumes are in the base game too.
Request 101 feels fricking impossible
I'm level 99 with Orpheus Telos and I still can't do it
Is there a cheese strat?
1. Do not have any nulls/absorb/reflects
2. When you get her past half HP the first time and she fully heals, switch to something with Enduring Soul to survive.
3. The second time you get her past half HP, switch to something with Endure and then use Armageddon.
it's tough, I could only do it on easy.
>Draw, persona cardo
Without giving away the strategy, I can give you some tips.
First, high counter skills, nulls absorbs and reflects are not allowed IF she hits them. You can still have them on your personas as long as you swap them accordingly.
(If you're really smart, you can time a reflect back at her and break the rules anyways, but that's some minimum turn count shit).
Gotta go old school and whip out the pen and paper and calculator. Keep track of her patterns and where she switches to which personas. Write this down, because it repeats. You shouldn't have a persona out that repels dark if you know her next persona in the pattern is Alice.
Use the calculator to see how her behaviour changes at specific hp thresholds. Write this down too.
You should also come in to the fight with Fuuka and the MC at max theurgy and with you having the pre-charge for phys and mag from one of the shuffle time cup cards. You should also make sure that you used the fortune teller in the club to make your theurgy gauge grow faster. Take every advantage you can get.
For the most specific thing which you will learn anyway through trial and error and writing this stuff down: You need a persona with endure AND another with enduring soul, since each can proc only once per battle. An equippable item can also be used instead. You also need the Armageddon theurgy from Helel+Satan.
No real cheese strat, other than letting her hit herself down past 10k with Repel Strike, and then using Armageddon.
Bring her down to the first threshold, 13k. MAKE SURE YOUR THEURGY IS READY. She'll spend a turn buffing, and then insta-kill you the next turn. So switch to something with Enduring Soul and keep attacking. The next turn, she's going to debuff you and use Charge, because she'll use God Hand next with Thor, so switch to something that repels Strike AND has Endure. I think she's always scripted to use the God Hand first, which should hopefully reflect back at her and take her under 10k, and then she'll follow up with her insta-kill since you broke a rule, but we Endure that. Use Armageddon and win.
If you're having trouble just getting her down the the first threshold, slap on Firm Stance, a Boost and Amp, and a severe spell. Maybe you also want Telos to have Spell Master and Debilitate/Heat Riser. Maybe have another decently tanky persona to take care of the Concentrate/(de)buffing. Make sure to grab the Null Ailment accessory from Club Escapade for 500k, then either use Shoes of Bane or stock up on Homunculi.
You can do it. I never tried this strat myself, but outside of using DLC skills, I think this is the only real "cheese" strat.
Ngl, trying to follow this
https://www.powerpyx.com/persona-3-reload-100-walkthrough/
walkthrough is kinda tough for my literal first playthrough. Trying to go through an entire block until the next border, with just a couple of SP items is the most annoying part. And grinding for money. So far I've used the HP/SP heal clock once. Currently going for an attempt at climbing to the 69th floor. I'm starting from the first floor. kek. Also, weapons and equips from the police shop is kinda useless so far. I spent some to buy them ,then the story just gave me a bunch of SEES equips. Frick me.
Why even use a guide? Just play blind your first time
It's just, Persona is a time sink. I've played 4g and 5 once. I even bought Royal but never got far with it. The games are just too long and way too many choices and optional things that I could potentially miss. In 5 I didn't manage to go far with the shogi/chess chick's s.link. This time I just want to experience everything in one go because I know I'll probably will never touch it again.
with all my first persona playthroughs i felt like i did everything i wanted, i just aim for the social links that look appealing to me. If you're ever curious about some social link you didnt complete or didnt even touch, just watch them on youtube.
dont do this to yourself. Play persona games blind then do ng+ if you want all social links or whatever. the ng+ is really generous
>letting another man's guide play the game for them
cuck! just play blind, following a guide like this is no fun
You don't have to see everything in a Persona game.
>Aigis comes back
>unable to cry
>cries in her SL and the ending
the frick happens in one month
She became a real girl
:O
when she comes back on the 30tht she's just beginning to develop her emotions
by the time you finish her sl she's gotten a much better grasp of them, although they're still relatively new to her
the ending is a bit more unclear, idk how it is in reload but in fes she's shown as fully human in the ending cutscene which is likely due to man dying and seeing shit
it is noted at the start of the answer that she lost the ability to cry, but that's plot relevant
?si=mwJ8gm5z6gjBeNRS
This shits irrationally catchy
>Nyx changes into the Devil arcana
>The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed
>I can't believe its wonderfulness
is this still in reload?
Great thread. "Peace out"
It's my belief that Persona 3/4/5 are a separate timeline from Persona 1/2. This is a world where the Nanjou Group and most of the characters from P1 and P2 exist, but lies parallel to those games. The reason I think this is because there is absolutely no footprint left behind by those games in the Nusona games. We know the Nanjou Group exists, but there is no evidence that the Kei of this world is a Persona User at all. There's no evidence that Guido created the DEVA System, or that the Mikage incident ever occurred. Although there's a clear throughline going from P3 to P5, there is almost nothing connecting P3 to P1 or P2.
I believe it's similar to SMT3's relationship with SMT1 and 2. SMT3 is clearly a parallel timeline, but this is clearly a world in which SMT1 never occurred. Nonetheless, the actors behind those games, the Messians and the Ring of Gaea, do exist in SMT3's backstory. It is evident that at some point, the timeline split, with one timeline leading into SMT1 and another leading to SMT3. I believe something similar happened with Persona. I believe that the timeline diverged sometime before Persona 1, probably even before Devil Summoner 1. The characters of those games may still exist in this world, but they probably lived different lives. Devil Summoners seemingly do not exist in this world; this is a world ruled by Persona Users.

Like i mentioned above Kazuma Kaneko in an interview said that he viewed SMT3 as a sort of "prologue" story, and that the "Nocturne" title even references that, but i don't know what the frick he is talking about in regards to the title.
Anyway, from what i learned SMT3 is essentially a world where the Shinjuku hospital, which was mentioned in SMT1 where some random NPC talks about the weird experiments being conducted by its director, destroyed the world before the nukes could fell on Japan.
That doesn't really make much sense when SMT1 is set in the 90s and Nocturne in the 2000s
Talk with Kaneko.
>Kazuka Kaneko: Anyway, we figured that as a third party we had to make a game for the newly released hardware…
>Interviewer: You’re talking about Megami Ibunroku Persona and Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner.
>Kazuma Kaneko: Exactly. That’s why we sort of ended up ignoring Shin III…and chronologically-wise we had doubts it would feel like Megaten.
>Interviewer: Hmmm? Why is that?
>Kazuma Kaneko: One of the strong points of Megaten is being able to fight demons in contemporary Tokyo. SMT II ended up being mostly futuristic SF, and we wondered if continuing the games in this timeline would be all right.
>Interviewer: Megaten has a fairly realistic atmosphere about it, with demons hidden in the dark by the roadside coming out to attack you.
>Kazuma Kaneko: Yes. That is why we figured SMT III should return to present time Tokyo and become in a sense a continuation of SMT I’s Chaos route. However, it is also called NOCTURNE, which has the connotation of “prologue” and not SMT III in the true sense.
>Interviewer: Huh?! Seriously?!
>Kazuma Kaneko: But still, we can’t release another game titled SMT III now. Time has also passed again.
Like i said there are indeed referenced between SMT1 and SMT3, mostly at the beginning of SMT1. I still don't know what the frick Kaneko is talking about the Chaos route.
Even the interviewer is confused.
Does late Friday night p3/Atlus discussion still have legs? Who wants to start the new thread?
Also, I feel like Persona 3's whole "Nyx is a star eater and also the moon and also the reason the Collective Unconscious exists" thing probably isn't canon to SMT's overall cosmology. At the very least, I cannot imagine SMT or Devil Summoner ever acknowledging P3's lore.
I will burn my dread and beat this shit. Hope this game helps others in life, hikimori, apathetic or whatever
Good luck man. And admirable thoughts.
