I played P4G and it's the only persona game I didn't even bother finishing. Really all the extra content in Golden is filler, the game really should just have ended after arresting Adachi.

Never liked some of the P3 setting, is was uninviting, the dorm reeked and none of the characters made you feel welcome, they all had this air of "I think you're a piece of shit, btw, I am a genius in my class", frick that place, Inaba is 10 times better.
I think misplacing the poor characterization (and lighting in some spots) for a feature of the game that's being "lost" in the remake has been my favorite meme in these threads.

The original Tartarus outfits were just each character's winter outfits + an armband, so they wanted to do something closer to P5 by giving characters unique designs in the other world.
I like it, the whole tacticool thing fits the vibe of SEES. Plus, you can just equip the old outfits, armband and all, if you want.

I think Dungeon outfits are going to be a standard of the franchise now because it also gives Atlus 2 different designs to sell per character, but P4 kind of tied the school uniforms into the plot since the IT used the uniforms to not draw attention to themselves. They could always just leave the gear in the TV and change when they go over if they did want new outfits.
I feel bad that I like the art style of the dancing models way more than the new ones for the remake.

I'm surprised it hasn't been dealt with at this point. I dunno how difficult it is to do in making vidya, but since 3R's made in Unreal, aren't there built-in post-processing effects or shader edits devs can apply fairly easily to touch up the visuals? There's been a lot of trailers at this point, but while they've added shadows, the lighting is still a little scuffed, and I'm worried that this is just going to be the final look.

P3P is an objectively worse experience they had to compromise quite a lot of things to make a ps2 game fit on a PSP. The only reason to play P3P is if you've already played FES before or for some reason playing FES is otherwise impossible, I know that running PSP emulation is a lot easier than PS2 for potato systems.

Neither is better or worse, they're just distinct flavors. The best way I could put it is that P3P is a "visual novel" while FES is a "TV anime."
P3P is also dead simple, honestly. Persona 3 was balanced for the player only controlling the MC, and they didn't do much of a job at adjusting the gameplay for P3P, where you control the entire party.
I didn't like it before it was reloaded, so I doubt I'll care afterwards. The main cast had zero chemistry. The social links were best experienced using the 'Skip' feature. There's a fricking robot, dog, and a child on the main team for some reason. The main story was good but brought down 5 notches by the terrible writing for the characters.

Game looks good but for some reason dorm lacks proper lightning, I hope they can fix it before release.
I'm surprised it hasn't been dealt with at this point. I dunno how difficult it is to do in making vidya, but since 3R's made in Unreal, aren't there built-in post-processing effects or shader edits devs can apply fairly easily to touch up the visuals? There's been a lot of trailers at this point, but while they've added shadows, the lighting is still a little scuffed, and I'm worried that this is just going to be the final look.

Do I play P3P on the PSP, FES on an emulator, or this?
I really want to give P3P a shot because I want an excuse to use my PSP again after playing through Danganronpa not too long ago. But I don't know if it's "worse".
P3P is an objectively worse experience they had to compromise quite a lot of things to make a ps2 game fit on a PSP. The only reason to play P3P is if you've already played FES before or for some reason playing FES is otherwise impossible, I know that running PSP emulation is a lot easier than PS2 for potato systems.

Neither is better or worse, they're just distinct flavors. The best way I could put it is that P3P is a "visual novel" while FES is a "TV anime."
P3P is also dead simple, honestly. Persona 3 was balanced for the player only controlling the MC, and they didn't do much of a job at adjusting the gameplay for P3P, where you control the entire party.
I didn't like it before it was reloaded, so I doubt I'll care afterwards. The main cast had zero chemistry. The social links were best experienced using the 'Skip' feature. There's a fricking robot, dog, and a child on the main team for some reason. The main story was good but brought down 5 notches by the terrible writing for the characters.
