The OG trailer was too cool for the game. It hooked me in expecting some cool murder mystery with an alternate TV dimension, shit sounds like peak fiction. P4 didn't suffer from as many problems to fix as P3 did. Apart from the dungeons needing to be vastly improved, it'd mostly just be fleshing existing things out.

Never considered this but now I want it. I was always curious about P2 and love the visual style, while not being able to get into the gameplay.
I think P4 is kinda the weakest in the gameplay department. It's been a long while since I played P3 but a few things I've noticed.

P3 was by a mile. They fixed A LOT in P3R.
It fixed a lot but also things like skill cards are worse.
Even though 4 combat is polished , the Gameplay is sorta lackluster because

Sure but all the bikini scenes, yukari maid scene, fuuka's weird stomach-tickling scene, and skimpy outfits for all the girls are still in. Plus there's still the pseudo-pedophilic relationship with Maya/Toriumi and Maiko asking to marry you. I dont think Atlus cares anything to censor anything unless it will get them in political trouble (eg. the troony scene)
P3R was pretty faithful as far as remakes go, to the point where they kept the boring social links no one liked, so I think it’ll be okay on that front. P4G is already perfect(except for Marie of course), fixing a lot of vanilla P4’s issues and adding new events and things to do. Dungeons, gameplay, and graphics are of course going to get an upgrade but besides that what more could they add? More events? Seems kinda lacking. If they want to make it worth anyone’s while they’d have to add as much stuff as Golden did. I think it’d be pretty neat if they added another playable month after the epilogue. Something I wish P3 did was replace some of the social links like P3P did. I didn’t like talking to that dude who wanted to frick his teacher in FES and I still don’t in Reload. I hope a P4 remake doesn’t make me hang out with that boring kid you have to tutor. Another thing I’d like, but they probably aren’t going to do, is for them “fix” Marie. Marie is a bad character and she really doesn’t fit P4’s aesthetic. I want them to either replace her entirely with something else or rewrite her character entirely. I don’t see either happening though so at most they just make her less annoying
