Being the same as 3, 4, and 5. I just can't take another Persona game. They are too long. Too bloated. Too full of one dimensional nothing characters. All follow the same basic formula. All are essentially the same game with different coats of paint.
Also, there is literally no purpose in playing it at release. 3, 4, and 5 now have established that they WILL release an expanded version with additional content, characters, social links, demons, items, etc later.

More doesn't always = better. P4 feels very different to P4G, as does P5 to P5R. I know there's plenty of Anons here who prefer PS2 P4 to P4G, for instance.
As someone who only played the games when they came to PC my only experience with the series is the updated versions, but even so I think that the autistic, completionist part of my brain still wants me to get the substantial extra content added to the games in the rereleases.

It would require significant retcons to make her a troony, and given the fact that the story in P3R was completely unchanged, I can't see them doing anything like that in a P4 remake either.
The most that will happen is they might alter that one line about how you can "never change from woman to man" or whatever it was, just to make it less offensive to trannies, but Naoto's character arc will remain the exact same.
I'd be more curious if Yosuke is still homophobic in the remake or if they pussy out of doing it this time.

I just think it would be incredibly weird if P4R has any major plot changes when P3R did not. Keep in mind there's plenty of stuff they could have removed/censored in 3 that had much less significance to the plot (eg. Maiko's and Maya/Toriumi's SLs), but did not. By comparison, changing Naoto would effectively require them to rewrite a whole chunk of the game.
I also think the "controversy" over Naoto's gender is exclusively a western thing. I can't see anyone in Japan giving a shit. I think they'd just see her as a tomboy.

Well, yeah. But I don't think the Jp audience were exactly clamoring for Bridget to troon out considering they still call him an otokonoko. Point I was trying to make is that it's not inconceivable for a JP studio to make that kind of retcon. But you're probably right and I'm just seeing something that's not really there.

The "gay" thing with Kanji works because his Shadow is revealing something scandalous which completely contradicts his public image. Obviously, with Naoto, this cannot be the case.
Things not making sense has never really mattered to them as long as they get their heckin representation. They earnestly believe that Kanji is gay and Naoto is trans, despite the entirety of their arcs being about how they're not. Pray that nobody that far gone gets their hands on the localization.
