I remember English PSU being multiple years behind the JP servers, we got Forte classes like two years after them.
The gap only got bigger until the English side's shut down meanwhile PSU JP lived with updates right until the moment PSO2 came out

All the people I play Caravan Stories with were going on and on about this game killing multiple gachas. It released, and they were pretty much done with the content after one weekend.

They shouldn't have made it open world then and just stuck with the gameplay formula that PSO2 already had.
Playing in the open world sucks ass and exploring around offers nothing other then visuals, which at first is nice and all, but no one cares about that when majority of the players are just gonna circle jerk in the lobby anyways while waiting for Urgents to happen.
If anything give us back PSO2 before NG announcement. It was a solved game for the most part, but damn it was fun at least.

I'm gonna give it a shot. I've wanted to try this game since it was announced but I'm a dumb console pleb through and through and I don't want to get an Xbox. It feels like way the frick too little, too late, but I'm still willing to try it out.

The xbox version has graphics sliders (a good variety too). On an Xbox One, I assume you have to have everything on low to make it playable. SeX runs maxed.

It really depends how you approach the game, in a sense the game is nothing more than a waifu dressing simulator with some gameplay glued to it.
I like the gameplay tho is simple but serviceable but I play the game for the fashion.

One of the benefits is you won't be stuck playing alone with only PS4 players
Downside is prices are fricking terrible across the board and you've missed out on all of PSO2's scratch stuff since launch as well as a years worth of NGS' scratch stuff
But they frequently do Legacy re-runs, and they probably will for the PS4 players
I'd say that meseta is less of a problem now, every day you can get over 100,000 meseta if you do your reactors and pick up the other two region's valuable items which shouldn't take you long to do.

6m hair, 6m fir nicer emotes/stances, 4k coomer outfits, 500k almost every fem outfit, 100k for guys
prices on most capsules have actually gone down, while only the meta stuff like mastery 4 and cash Addis stay overpriced
while there's no inflation from that point, the problem is that it takes long to get all the money you want without a lot of time investment or getting lucky with rare drops lottery

After 1 year the story has gone nowhere. Its about three anime episodes worth of story long. We still have no idea what dolls are or how 1000s of people can live in Retem or Central City when there are no houses anywhere.
there are snips of lore inbetween pods and npc interactions but people speed through those or ignore it all together
Gameplay is barebones, content is non-existent, story blows, population has dried up and most of the people still playing are schizos. I don't believe that Sega will actually fix this game for a long time if at all. Either it's gonna stay around with the same few people playing it and keeping it afloat, or it'll die after the mega game flops.

you can do way more than your average point and click mmo
NGS is one of the most shallow action games I've ever played, lower than button mashers like God of War. The only reason to stop and do something other than counter or repeat the one combo are if you're up against one of two enemy types, one of which needing you to press the slam button first, and the other needing you to do the usual but from behind instead. You do the same attacks regardless of whether you're in the air or on the ground, so there's no difference in fighting flying enemies. There's no incentive to not just spam the same thing over and over (more damage, more drops, rank or score, etc). The move pools are pitiful compared to most action games, with classes generally still managing to have redundant skills despite that. Trying to get creative with stuff like weapon-switching ends up with you getting blueballed frequently, not to mention the insane grind required to even think about doing so. Some of the bosses have fun movesets but end up feeling limp due to these factors.
The only people who still play this game are nutjobs and coomers, I'm sure you could find a guy to typefrick by just asking in any community.

Major update comes with a "story" worth of 30 minutes of cutscenes and they're released each 6 months at least till now, can get even slower.
I mean, hitting level cap, exploration 100% and complete all side quests should take at least 15 hours per region (most of it being padding like searching red boxes).
For endgame you have "purple" which is 5 boss fights run and "trinitas" which is kinda like divide but worse. The problem is, they're all in the same Cocoon scenario with generic music so it feels lazy and ugly.
I prefer PSO2 expeditions than Aelio/Retem/Kvaris.
What happens after next region will show the direction this game will go, but at that point it'll be almost 2024 and I fear they will pull some bs like DF destroying everything and reuse the same 4 regions but with destroyed scenario for another 2 years.
In the first NGS beta the central aelio tower with the counters like the food one had a "depart" mission icon on the other side. I think they planned some form of space travel for some missions already since before release but they released the game in this state, or they really dont know what direction they want to take and are winging it as they go lmao
they need to go a lot faster, the game is only just now at the point it should've launched at and it took them a year
I wouldn't be surprised if after the DOLLs Arc we eventually are able to go back into Space and maybe visit another Planet

Bizarre how they decided to kill PSO2 and force the playerbase to migrate to NGS. The decent thing they could have done was to keep updating both - which would turn NGS in a ghost town so it's obviously they knew what they were doing with this scam act.
