No one wants to admit it but halo and traditional mp is just not something zoomers want to play.
What they don't want to admit is that Halo needs to have its MP and campaigns released separately. Halo Infinite tried to do both and now there's not a single peep on a possible continuation to that unfinished campaign, since the focus went all to the MP. And even that hasn't been properly worked yet, it still has a lot of features missing.
Bring back Custom Edition, have a team solely dedicated to multiplayer games on it, let 343 put all the jank and face cap crap in the campaign no one will play.
Unless they played master chief collection zoomers have probably never played an actual halo and have just played the 343 cod-lite versions of halo they've been desperately trying to force on the fanbase despite 3 games hemorrhaging players

Traditional multiplayer is popular, it's just that they're playing COD or Valorant or CS:GO or Rainbow Six Siege, not Halo. Even battle royales like Apex are introducing smaller scale conventional multiplayer game modes.
Halo was dead the second COD4 and especially MW2 dropped on the scene because the modern warfare setting and faster gameplay was more appealing.

It sucks to me because they moved to make destiny which I'd hoped would be my new halo but the unbalanced as frick multi and them deciding to remove paid content because they fricked up the optimization so bad that the game was breaking drove me away entirely. I genuinely have no fricking clue how they managed to make multiple great halo games.
