I don't play my PS5 because I don't care about the exclusives.
I can play any pc, multiplat and emulator on my rog ally. But oled and ease of use from my switch or Steam Deck would be nice.
I'll add the important factor that I don't have a nice and convenient big screen setup.
So why would I want an Xbox?
It could be a gaming pc alternative for low cost.
Xbox handheld with supreme comfort,oled,as easy to use as a console but can also be docked as a pc.
If I get a good screen setup for my bedroom I might get an Xbox for being easier to use than rog ally.

Exclusives don't really make sense in the modern day though, as in you're intentionally leaving money on the table by making a game exclusive. Obviously they do this in order to protect their platform and thereby get more money indirectly though a larger user base, but if they estimate that simply selling all their games on all platforms will actually bring in more cash then the decision is logical. We've seen Sony basically do the same thing by beginning to port to Windows, they're just leaving money on the table by not doing this.
Nintendo is the only company left still going strong with exclusives and that's because their first-party games output is so strong that their franchises have major fanbases still, plus they're likely operating on much smaller budgets and can make a good return on investment without selling to the widest audience possible.

The point of consoles used to be actually having a device which can play video games in your home, because that was not something ubiquitous when consoles first appeared.
