You'll never get it again. Sovl doesn't sell. Now play your kitchen level and safe for babies cutesy pikmin, imagining how it'd be so cute if pikmin were around in our world (ignoring that it was supposed to be post apocolyptic).
they never got over the fact the gamecube was considered the kiddy meme console compared to the PS2 so now they're trying to convince everyone it was full of le soulful bone chilling slowburn character driven atmospheric horror masterpiss for true gaymers
>they never got over the fact the gamecube was considered the kiddy meme console compared to the ps2
I wasn't conscious enough to give a shit when either of those consoles were relevant
I just like gamecube games
I actually like this.
incentivize you to organize your day/path depending on what obstacles are in front of you. And the maps being "more open" means you can sometime have different routes depending on what you bring
I didn't mind it as much as i was expecting. However there are also only obstacles for 3, maybe 4 types on the maps.
And the fact that you can change types/amount of PIkmin just by going into a cave.
Pikmin management becomes completely obsolete once you get the idle alert, not to mention the (upgraded) dog.
4 might not be nearly as good as 1 or 2, but its still a fun game. As long as you ignore that over 50% of npcs are Black folk
realistically what's the best way to replay 1 these days? Emulation? I can't imagine this game plays the same w/o that otherwise dog shit Gamecube controller..
You can get a wii for dirt cheep and have a console that can play 2 libraries of games.
All you need for the gamecube is a memory card and the controller.
Emulation works too, and in the end is free, but idk It feels way more comfy playing on actual hardware for me.
Finished 4 last week.
It was a nice game but i think the overuse of caves was a bit detracting, managing and pathing in the overworld was more fun.
Caves also meant a buttload more cutscenes on top of the already excessive amount of cutscenes
Nintendo sees it as a flop I guess. There might be a 5, but damn it does not seem like it's coming back internally any time soon, its just Eighting crap from now on.

I did an ironman run of Pikmin 1 today. Simply a classic game.
It was just a look where all the cartoony things were in a drab setting. It was nice but not foreboding.
I've only played Pikmin 1 and 2, but I remember liking 1 more, if only because of how replayable it was.
this board's quality would increase tenfolds if all millenial gamecube Black folk were simply industrially exterminated
Why do they have more annoying nostalgia than most? Is it a cycle thing? Back in the day were SNES sperm NESticles that bad?

same thing with dreamcastgays
and I say that as someone who likes the gamecube and its games
but fricking hell enough of LUIJE MANOR NO CREEPY ANYMORE??? SAVE ME Black personMAN
Jesus christ I just said it had an eerie atmosphere I didn't claim it scared the shit out of me or anything.
>same thing with dreamcastgays
b***h don't drag me into this

i like when my pikmin sing
honestly I just don't really like the dungeons of 2 and 4. I wish they'd stick with 1's level design, it felt the most comfy.
Pikmin 2 sucks
you're gay
>Adam walks with god
>forcibly limiting you to 3 Pikmin types at any time
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?!?

>zoomers seethe at a screencap of pikmin
yes, we already know you have terrible taste
you are 35 year old and deeply autistic, consider a trip to canada
you're chinese and 26, a fate worse than death
Entertaining thread ****1/2
Pikmin 4 having a shitload of NPCs probably contributed to the diminishing atmosphere. Even in Pikmin 3 it was just the science team.
Why doesn't Pikmin do well compared to Nintendo's other franchises?
Weird military RTS
It's a game in an inherently niche genre and Miyamoto should learn to accept that. 4 and 3 Deluxe did quite well for what they were.
Pikmin 4 outsold every Metroid game
because it's fricking BORING
The only Nintendo character who has canonically fricked.
same
>nintendo game
>"foreboding atmosphere"
pick one you child

Most of the unique aesthetics of the 2000s is completely gone. Zoomers literally can't handle anything else other than a bog standard setting.
Look at how they changed Silent Hill 2 for zoomers.
zoom zooms love fear and hunger though so your point is entirely moot
Pikmin 4's atmosphere is so lame. 1 and 2 did it best. 4 ironically made me appreciate 3 more as well.
same, different times
